Thank you for all the feedback, many of you asked how did Eva grow up. There's going to be a flashback scene about that later. And yes, there's a catch. It's not going to be just sunshine and rainbows for now on, she has many new challenges to face. Her body is about 17 or 18 and I do have a picture of older Eva, but unfortunately I can't add the link :(
In my eyes I see no one else but you
There's no other love like our love
And yes, oh yes, I'll always want you near me
I've waited for you for so long
Lady, your love's the only love I need
And beside me is where I want you to be
'Cause, my love, there's something' I want you to know
You're the love of my life, you're my lady
Kenny Rogers - Lady
Chapter 63
Get your hands off my daughter
Kol and Klaus were both staring at Eva when she danced with Elijah. She was smiling so happily that it practically made her glow. Elijah's arms were protectively around her gorgeous body, he was giving warning looks to some young men who were staring at her less than innocently. Her body was absolutely beautiful; she had round hips, firm plump bosom, full lips, soft skin… Still she was Eva.
"My Eva," they both thought.
Neither of them was capable of wondering how this had happened, they only wanted to concentrate on admiring her. They both were thinking about the same thing. Finally. Klaus could already picture her by his side as his wife and Kol thought about all the places he wanted to show her. They had both loved her for so long, now they could finally be with her. Klaus knew that she loved him, he had no doubt that she would want to marry him. They had practically been like a couple for so many years; she was his best friend and soulmate. Kol also knew that she loved him and obviously she would come with him. She made him whole and she was his soulmate.
Neither of them had absolutely no doubt that she would want to be with them. Eva suddenly pulled away from Elijah when Rebekah approached them insecurely. Elijah backed away discreetly and gave them some privacy. Neither Kol nor Klaus cared to listen to their conversation; they had more important things on mind. It didn't take long when both Eva and Rebekah were sobbing and hugging each other. Pretty much all the men in the ballroom were staring at them, thinking about some very naughty thoughts. Damon and Stefan were also looking at them, clearly they didn't recognize Eva. Stefan however was mostly looking at Rebekah. The doppelganger looked tense; the Bennett witch touched her shoulder in a comforting gesture. Klaus noticed all this from the corner of his eye, but none of it really meant anything to him. All that he saw was Eva.
"Dear lord…" Kol murmured. "She's gorgeous."
"Yes, she is," Klaus replied absentmindedly.
"You think so, do you?" Elijah's voice suddenly said, he had appeared behind them. "Know this; if either of you even tries to touch my child, I will neuter you when you sleep."
Kol and Klaus turned to look at him and burst into laughter. Elijah laughed too and placed his palms on their shoulder.
"You think I'm kidding?" He stopped laughing, his eyes darkened. "I'm not kidding."
"Come on, Elijah," Klaus snorted. "If you think…"
"I think that I will do whatever I have to do to protect my little girl. She's very smart and she has experienced a lot, but she's very much innocent when it comes to…certain things and I'll be damned if I let anyone take advantage of her."
"You think I would do that?" Kol asked coolly.
"Yes," Elijah replied without hesitation. "You will both stay away from her or you will regret it. And if you think I'm the only protector she has…" He paused and cocked his head towards Eva and Rebekah who gave them a murderous glare and ran her finger warningly over her throat.
"I am with them too," Finn stated calmly, he had appeared next to Elijah.
Klaus' eyes narrowed.
"You? Why?"
Finn smiled.
"I have two reasons. One, I like the little one. Two, I do not like you, Niklaus."
With that he turned around and marched away. Elijah walked over to Eva and Rebekah and wrapped his arms around them. Together Rebekah and Elijah led Eva away from the ballroom; obviously Elijah didn't like the men looking at her when they could see so much of her. Eva seemed a bit confused, but she didn't argue.
"If he thinks that he can take my Eva from me…" Klaus murmured.
"She's my Eva," Kol stated tensely.
"No, she's not."
"I'm the one she loves."
"I don't think so."
Kol crossed his arms and carelessly glanced at his brother.
"We'll see."
Rebekah stepped out of her huge walk-in-closet; she had picked up a white cardigan.
"What do you think about this, sweetie?" she asked smiling.
"It's beautiful," I replied.
"Good."
She wrapped a cardigan around me and touched my hair. "You look so pretty."
"Thank you."
I was so happy I hadn't lost her and I felt more than embarrassed for wearing so revealing dress. I had been ashamed as soon as I had noticed papa's discomfort.
"We have so much to talk about, I want you to sleep in my room for now," Rebekah said. "Would that be alright?"
"Yes, of course."
"Great, I'll arrange everything." She paused and kissed my cheek. "Don't think that you wouldn't still be my little baby."
I laughed and hugged her.
"Thank you, mama."
We stayed like that for a moment before she pulled away.
"Elijah is probably waiting for us."
I nodded and headed to the door, papa had said that he would wait in the study. I knew that he would have a lot of questions, but I couldn't give him answers. The thought made me very nervous, but I needed to pull myself together and stay calm. Rebekah was right behind me when I entered the study; Klaus and Kol were there with papa.
"Darling," Kol greeted me smiling and looked at my cardigan. "Why are you wearing that?"
"Funny," I snorted. "Yes, I know that I made a fool out of myself, no need to tell me that."
"What?" Kol and Klaus asked simultaneously.
"We'll get you plenty of new clothes tomorrow," Rebekah cut in and wrapped her arm around me. "And we just agreed that Eva will stay in my room for now, we have so much to talk about."
"Sounds good," papa replied.
"Yes," Rebekah said smiling. "My baby and I are going to spend a lot of time together."
"What about your school?" Kol asked.
"It can wait," Rebekah replied."There's nothing more important to me than spending time with my baby."
"I agree," papa said and sat on the armchair. "I'm planning to spend a lot of time with my little girl as well."
I walked over to the armchair and sat onto his lap, just like I always did.
"I love you, papa," I said and rubbed my cheek against his arm.
He cleared his throat before replying.
"I love you too, sweetheart."
His discomfort confused me for a brief moment before I remembered that I wasn't in a little girl's body anymore.
"I'm sorry," I muttered and got up as fast as I could. "I forgot…"
"It's alright, sweetheart," papa assured.
"You can sit on my lap," Klaus said.
"Mine too," Kol added.
I crossed my arms and glared at them.
"You think it's funny to mock me? I'm trying my best."
"No, no," Klaus said. "I wasn't mocking you…"
"Sweetheart," papa cut in. "How did this happen?"
I bit my bottom lip before turning to look at him.
"I'm sorry, but I can't tell. I told you, I…"
"You gave your word, yes, I remember. I'm sorry, but I can't simply leave it like that, I need to know at least something."
I was quiet for a moment before replying.
"Magic."
Papa looked more than concerned; he stood up and stepped in front of me.
"Eva… All magic has a price, we both know that. What did the person who did this wanted in return?"
"Nothing," I muttered. "I swear. It was…a gift."
"Eva…"
"Come on, Elijah," Klaus huffed. "Clearly she has had a rough day, give her some space."
I glanced at him gratefully, he knew me well. Papa wasn't pleased, he pressed his lips together.
"We will talk about this later, Eva."
I nodded.
"Are you hungry, darling?" Kol asked. "How about we…"
"Come on, sweetie," Rebekah cut in and wrapped her arm around me. "It's time for some girl talk."
I looked at Kol apologetically; hopefully he understood that I didn't want to hurt Rebekah's feelings. I knew how important for her it was to feel needed and I wanted to make it clear how much I needed her. It was the truth; this was all new to me. Maybe I had dreamt for this for centuries, but now I had to admit that I really didn't know nearly enough about being a woman.
