Kenny groggily woke up in... well, wherever he was right now. He noticed that his hands were tied up, but he noticed how they were at the front of his body, meaning that whoever his kidnappers were were obviously in a rush to capture him, a realisation made even more noticeable by the fact that his mouth hadn't been gagged.

'Wait...' Kenny thought to himself. 'Where am I?'

"So, what do you think the boss wants with him?" asked a gruff voice.

"It's not our business to ask those questions, Dunga," replied the other voice, whom Kenny assumed was Ozuma if the events of his kidnapping were anything to go by. "I just wish that our driver wasn't such a newbie at this."

"Hey, maps are harder to follow than you think, okay?" replied the driver, whose voice Kenny didn't recognise, so he didn't think that he was too important. "And besides, nobody even uses maps these days! Hasn't Boris ever heard of a G.P.S. system?"

'So, it really is him behind all this...' Kenny said in his head once more. He then took a look around and saw a small crevice in the back doors of the van. 'Hmm...'

The bespectacled blader then smiled to himself, shifting his weight carefully so that his hands were close to his pocket, and he took advantage of the bumps of the car to scoot his hips, feeling his Hopper beyblade starting to leave his pocket.

"Is Kenny still out?" asked Ozuma.

"I'll check," replied Dunga.

Kenny quickly laid down on his side, his pocket barely smothering his beyblade as Dunga turned around to see Kenny still sleeping and still with his hands tied up and over his chest, making the large blonde blader smile.

"Yeah, he's out," said Dunga. "Man, he must have a really weak chin, huh?"

"Eh, he's always been more of the brains of the group," Ozuma said. "If anybody could take a punch, it'd be Kai."

Dunga chuckled and walked back to his seat. "Doesn't change anything. I'd still knock out the rest of those Bladebreakers with one punch each if I could. It'd make stealing their power a lot easier."

Ozuma glared at Dunga. "You're lucky Kenny's asleep for that, and doubly so considering that it's night-time. If you want all of this to stay quiet, I suggest that you keep your big trap shut."

"You're the boss," Dunga grunted.

"Actually, Boris is the boss," Ozuma said. "And if you think that I'd hurt you for blabbing about this, just imagine what he would do."

"I'd rather not think about it," Dunga replied.

Kenny noted the slight tone of fear in both Saint Shields members' voices, but shook it off as he turned a bit on his side, still laying back but more curled up so that his hand could better reach his pocket, managing to dig the beyblade out with his tied up hands, clutching it close to his chest.

'I hope that this works...' he said in his mind as he grabbed the bottom of his beyblade, twisting it around until it detached, leaving the spring completely intact as he turn to his other side, keeping his hands low to give off the illusion that he was still unconscious.

He then lowered his hands down to his left side as best as he could manage from his awkward position, carefully letting the beyblade part drop to the floor of the van without making much noise, and it slid through the small crevice in the back of the van, landing on solid ground and soon being left behind.

Kenny smiled to himself in triumph, but soon regained his composure and repeated his earlier process, this time detaching the spring, which was easier to slide through the van as it was a lot smaller than the bottom of the beyblade.

The next part to go was the defence ring, which took a while to detach, but Kenny managed it, and it joined the other pieces that had fallen out of the van. Well, not joined all together as they'd been taken apart at separate times, but still.

The next thing to go was the weight disk, which Kenny was worried about as it was a part of the beyblade that truly lived up to its name. After Kenny did managed to detach it, the next part was trying to get it to slide out the back of the van, which would be easier were the disk itself not made of metal and if it didn't risk a loud clanging noise.

So, Kenny smartly moved his hands to his left pocket, wedging the weight disk firmly in there as he laid back on his side, using the advantage of the small bumps in the road to disguise the noise of the disk. Eventually, it fell free... but then the driver took a right turn, causing the weight disk to slide along the floor of the van.

'Oh, crap...' Kenny thought to himself. 'This is not good.'

"Dammit! Stupid cats!" said the driver, stopping completely.

Kenny quickly looked down to see the weight disk just about pressing against the small crack in the van, and the moment that he heard the cat panic and run away, resulting in a trash-can being knocked over, Kenny quickly lifted a leg up to kick the disk out.

'That was way too close...' Kenny thought. 'Luckily, there's just two more parts.'

"You took a wrong turn, you moron!" Dunga yelled at the driver.

"I told you: maps are hard to follow, which is why nobody uses them any more!" the driver growled.

"And I told you, we need that map so that we can get to Boris' hideout without anybody knowing!" said Dunga. "If we use a guidance system, then the nerd's laptop could probably pick up the waves or something and trace them back to our base!"

"And if you keep yelling, you'll probably wake up the kid and he'll know what we're up to," said Ozuma in an eerily calm tone. "If we don't calm down, we'll never get to our base in one piece. So, stop yelling, or I'll make you stop. And yes, it will be me making you stop as we probably won't make it to Boris if you two keep this up."

"All right, fine," Dunga said, folding his arms and sitting back as the driver merely grunted, pressing the gas pedal with his foot to continue the journey.

Kenny lightly shook his head as the van started up again, turning his attention back to his beyblade and noticing that the only two parts left to separate were the attack ring and the bit-chip, which had a picture of a frog on it, despite Kenny not having a bit-beast in his own beyblade.

Kenny ditched the attack ring first, and it slid out as effortlessly as the rest of his beyblade, and waited a few moments as he had with his other pieces before finally letting go of his bit-chip. Sighing as quietly as he could in the hopes that his friends would find him, Kenny curled up into his original position and closed his eyes, once again pretending to be unconscious.

'I hope that my friends find me...' he thought to himself as he started to drift to sleep again.

Back at the hotel...

Tyson let out a belch, putting his hand over his mouth. "Oh, that was good..." he said. "Ray did too good of a job."

"Well, try not to eat everything," Max replied, just finishing some pasta and sauce with bits of sausage in it. "Remember, we've got to save that cake for Kenny."

"Like you saved the mustard for us?" Hilary teased.

"Hey, Ray's a good cook, but you can't deny that mustard gives it that extra bit of zing," Max said. "Minus on anything sweet, though. That'd be bad."

"Yeah, mustard and cake wouldn't make a good combo," said Ray. "But if you wanted some on your pasta, all you had to do was ask."

Max chuckled. "Speaking of asking," he said, "when are we going to have that battle?"

Ray smiled. "Eh, let's have a couple of moments to let our food settle down a bit before we do that. Besides, I need to go wash the dishes anyway."

Kai then stood up. "While you're all doing that, I'll go check up on Kenny."

"Wait a moment," Ray said, giving Kai the last slice of the strawberry cheesecake, which was on a small plate. "Take that up for him too."

Kai smiled and nodded before turning around, walking through the corridor to get to the staircase, which he then took to get to his team's floor. He soon reached it, and looked forward to see the door still open.

Kai cocked a suspicious eyebrow, walking slowly towards the door before peeking his head in, seeing that the room was empty and everything was turned off, not to mention that Kenny wasn't there.

The blue-haired blader looked around as he headed for the kitchen in the hotel room. "Kenny?" he called out, grabbing some cling film and wrapping it around the cake before putting it in the fridge. "I've put your dessert in the fridge, okay?"

After still getting no reply, Kai walked over to the bedrooms, wondering if Kenny was asleep. He turned the lights on, but saw that he wasn't there. Panicking slightly, Kai then made his move for the bathroom, seeing that it was open, as was the shower curtain.

'Where the heck is he?' he thought to himself. 'I don't like this...'

Soon, Kai heard footsteps coming up the stairs. He quickly stepped out and saw his team-mates walking towards the room, walking across to meet them in the middle, causing them all to stop in confusion.

"What's up?" asked Ray.

"Kenny's not in his room at all, and neither is Dizzi."

"Oh, crap," Tyson said, pushing past Kai and into the hotel room, soon followed by the others.

"I couldn't find any traces of evidence," said Kai. "Coming back in here to look around for anything is pretty pointless."

"Oh, I'm not here for that," Tyson said, turning back to Kai. "Did you look around for his beyblade?"

"N-No..." Kai admitted as his friend started looking through the drawers in the bedrooms. "But I didn't think that it'd be that important. He doesn't use it much anyway."

Tyson grunted. "He must have had it on him when whoever got him took him."

"Then let's go look for him!" Max urged.

"Should we ask around the hotel for help?" Hilary asked.

"I don't think that'd be a good idea," said Tyson. "We don't need more people involved in this than there already are, and we can't risk them getting caught."

"Same thing for other teams?" asked Ray.

"Pretty much," Tyson replied. "Let's split up. Daichi and Ray, I want you two to check out the back of the hotel."

"Got it," Daichi said.

"Max, I want you and Hilary to check around the rooms and ask around. See if anybody's noticed anything strange happen."

"Will do," replied Max.

"Kai, you and me will check out the front."

"Sounds like a plan," the blue-haired blader replied.

"Meet back here in ten?" asked Hilary.

Tyson nodded. "Yeah." He then put his hand out, and the others put theirs over it. "We'll find Kenny, okay?"

"I hope so," said Max. "Maybe we'll find the others too."

The team then broke from it, going their separate ways, with Ray and Daichi heading down one path while the other four went down the other way to the front, Kai and Tyson exiting the doors to the hotel and looking around outside as Hilary and Max began asking questions to the hotel staff about anything odd.

Meanwhile, Ray and Daichi found themselves in the parking lot of the hotel, with the former searching around for anything closer to the hotel while Daichi headed out to the main parking lot itself, squinting his eyes.

"Ray, I think I found something," Daichi said.

Ray walked over, and noticed what Daichi was looking at as the faint light from the lamppost nearby shone down for him. "It looks like tyre tracks. Fresh ones too."

"They almost look hasty. Like the person wanted to get in and out quick..." said Daichi as he tried to follow the trail. "Looks like it leads into the main road."

"Hmm... let's wait for the others and see what they have."

Later on, the whole group was back in the hotel room, sitting around the kitchen table as they drank some hot chocolate to calm their minds down, before Tyson began the conversation after a long sip.

"Anybody find anything? Because me and Kai were bone dry out front."

"None of the staff or people staying here had anything going for them," said Hilary. "They said they heard a car or two, but that could mean anything."

"Actually, that could fit well," said Daichi. "Me and Ray found some tire tracks in the parking lot."

"And they were fresh," said Ray. "It's like whoever took Kenny didn't want to stay around here for too long."

Tyson smiled. "Well, if they got away in a car, then who says we can't travel by the same means?" He then pulled out his phone, typing in Mr. Dickenson's number. "Hello, sir. You awake?"

"I am now," Mr. D smiled. "What is the matter?"

"Well, Kenny has been kidnapped, and the people who took him got away really quickly."

"I'll be there as soon as I can." Mr. D then had a thought. "Oh, I almost forgot to tell you! One of my contacts in the police department found a good match for the vehicle that Kai found the other night."

"That's actually a big help," Tyson said. "Do you think that the people who took Kenny are the same guys who stole the computer stuff?"

"If that is the case, then why would they need both?"

Tyson shrugged, then his eyes widened in realisation. "Oh no..."

"What's wrong?"

"It's Dizzi..." Tyson said. "Boris, or Doctor K or Barthez or whoever... I think they're going to use her in their plan. I just wish that I knew what it was."

"I'll be on my way soon then."

"Thank you, Mr. D."

"No worries."

Tyson hung up, looking around at his team-mates. "Let's go save our friend."

"You don't have to tell us twice," Kai replied with a smirk.

The Bladebreakers soon finished their drinks and made sure they had all their equipment. Well, their beyblades, but that was all that they needed. They all walked out of the hotel room, locking it behind them as they made their way downstairs, and they couldn't decide which was more worrying; what was about to happen, or what could happen if they lost.

But Tyson knew one thing: failure was not an option.

So, that's it, folks! This will be my last Beyblade chapter for this year as I will be taking a brief break over the holidays, in which time I'm hoping to release something not Beyblade related. I'll return with this story next year, where I'm hoping it'll all be finished. See you then, and I hope that you all have a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Stay tuned.
