Author's note: Hey folks! I'm back after my break over the holidays, and before I start this chapter, I want to get two things out of the way. One, once again, my Internet is being, for lack of a better term, a total ass. It is getting fixed though, and the people fixing it are doing it for pretty much everyone in my neighbourhood, I think. It does mean having to pull the Internet altogether on occasion, but there's no two ways around it; it's just really annoying me. And when I get annoyed and frustrated, that has a tendency to affect my motivation and makes me less likely to write as much until the issue is resolved. Luckily, it isn't as bad for now, but if further issues do arise, then I shall let you all know at the start of chapters (for both this and future stories) instead of my usual little blurbs at the end.

The second thing that I want to say is thank you to all of the fans that have supported me and all of the friends that I've made on here who have helped me. 2015 wasn't a very productive year for me on this site. Sure, I still wrote stuff, but because of all the bad crap that was happening in my personal life, it really affected me quite negatively, and I didn't want to write if I was in a bad mood. Luckily, you all showed your support simply just by being there, and that helped lift my mood considerably, and I can't thank you enough for that because it really did help. And by support, I don't just mean for this story, but just in general.

Everyone that I've met on this site has been absolutely amazing, and so patient with some of my stuff that it means a lot to me that you can't wait for what I put up next. Hopefully, this year will be more productive, as I not only plan to get this story finished, but some other things as well, including my first original Sonic series since I first started on this site (which you can vote for in the poll on my page, by the way) and some other new stuff which I'm very excited for.

So, with all of that said, thank you all once again. Now, let's get on with it, shall we?

At Boris' lab...

"Ah, excellent job!" said Boris as he greeted his two workers outside an alleyway, seeing them open the doors at the back of the van.

"It was this one that you wanted, correct?" Ozuma asked, a little unsure as Dunga held the Bladebreakers' technical advisor up, hooking his arms under Kenny's to hold him.

"That is him indeed," Boris replied. "Is his laptop in there also?"

Ozuma left Kenny to Dunga as he quickly hopped into the van, bringing it with him to Boris. "Here."

"As I said earlier, excellent job," Boris said, smiling.

Ozuma smiled back, but felt something twinge in his head, and reached up to touch it. Dunga looked at Ozuma curiously before feeling the same twinge. As both bladers looked down, trying to recuperate from the pain, Boris nodded at two of his guards, who quickly moved to inject something into Ozuma and Dunga's necks while another pair of guards took Kenny, holding him still as they awaited Boris' next order.

Barthez stepped behind Boris as the two Saint Shields bladers were carried off. "Should we start the process now?"

Boris, looking at the laptop, shook his head. "No. It'll be hard to get into this without the proper password." He then smiled at Kenny. "Luckily, we have the smartest of the Bladebreakers here with us to open it up for us." Boris looked at his guards. "Take him to one of the chairs by the chambers and tie him up."

The guards nodded, taking the bespectacled Blader with them as Boris followed behind, carrying the laptop with him. Barthez followed also, and as Kenny was planted down onto a cold seat, Doctor K walked over as well, smirking.

"I'm not going to miss this..." she said under her breath.

The guards soon finished tying Kenny up, keeping his hands loose in case he would need them for Dizzi. Kenny still snoozed though, and one of the guards pulled out a bottle of water, opening it up and splashing it at Kenny's face, causing him to wake up.

"AH!" he screamed. "Goodness, that's cold!" He then squinted his eyes at the harsh light, looking around after his pupils recovered. "Erm... where am I?"

"That is information that you don't need to know," said Boris. "All that you need to know is that we need you alive."

"For how long?" Kenny smirked, not afraid of his captors.

"For however long it takes for you to get into Dizzi's files and delete all of the data that you pulled up," said Barthez.

"So it was you guys..." Kenny figured out, looking at Doctor K. "And look! The whole gang's here!"

The doctor chuckled. "You know, you're kind of cute when you're angry." Her expression then changed. "Unfortunately, cute won't be able to save your precious laptop if you don't give us what we want?"

"My laptop?" Kenny asked. "What do you need that for?"

"We'll tell you that when you do what we need you for," Boris said.

Kenny looked at his hands. "I'm a little tied up at the moment. Do you mind?"

Boris looked up at one of his guards, who untied both straps before grabbing Kenny's wrists. "Any funny business, and you'll lose those hands."

"That won't be necessary," said Boris, opening the laptop and switching on the power button for Kenny. "I believe that our young genius here already got the point when we brought him here."

"Actually, I am still quite confused," said Kenny as his hands were released. "Why bring me here? What are you going to do to me besides kill me if I don't give you what you want?"

Boris chuckled and stood out of the way of Kenny's vision, as did Barthez and Doctor K soon after. Kenny squinted off into the distance, but soon his eyes were focused more, and he saw several glowing containers, connected to various wires.

Noticing who most of them were, Kenny's face soon took on a look of shock. "What... what is this?"

"These are your friends," Boris said. "Well, not the Bladebreakers. But most of your other ones." Boris pointed to a set of containers. "You might recognise the Barthez Battalion? Or perhaps the Saint Shields?" He then smiled and looked over at another set. "Ah, I almost forgot! Team Psykick are here as well. Recent additions, you see."

"Why?" Kenny asked, also spotting the Dark Bladers. "Why are you doing this?"

"Why?" Boris asked with a smile. "Well, I'll tell you. You see those teams? You forgot all about them. You and the rest of the Bladebreakers left all of those teams behind..."

"So you go around kidnapping them?!" Kenny shouted. "That doesn't make it right! And, for the record, we never forgot about them!" He took a deep breath. "Everyone went their separate ways after that last tournament. The Bladebreakers were pretty much all off doing their own things, me included. But we stayed in touch, and not just with each other, but with other teams too. Like the ones that you have locked up."

"Well, I know that," Boris grinned. "As does mostly everyone else." He turned to gesture back to the containers. "But they don't know that..."

"What the hell did you do to them?!" Kenny asked, only being held back as the guard behind him grabbed his hands by the wrists again.

"If you're thinking that I brainwashed them, then that isn't the case. I simply gave them a strong push in the right direction."

"Yeah, a strong push with your voice in their heads," Kenny retorted. "I saw those files, Boris. I know what you did. The only reason that I don't know how is because I was knocked unconscious not long after finding out what it was."

"And you do not need to know how," said Doctor K. "All that you need to know is that your laptop is the only reason that you're still alive."

Kenny shook his head, then turned to the guard behind him. "Would you mind?"

"Does this mean that you'll help us?" asked Boris, commanding his guard to keep his grip.

Kenny nodded. "Yes, I will. But after I do, you let us walk, and you leave my friends alone. And you don't hurt Dizzi."

"Oh, you won't have to worry about us hurting Dizzi," Barthez said. "As long as you do as we say, nobody will get hurt any more."

Kenny shook his head again, and the guard let go of his hands. Shrugging and sighing, Kenny cracked his knuckles together and typed in the password for his laptop, making Dizzi wake up as the laptop's screen popped up.

The laptop-dwelling bit-beast yawned. "Where are we?" she asked.

"Where you are isn't important," said Barthez.

"I recognise that voice," said Dizzi. "Sounds like regret and inadequacy."

Kenny chuckled, then took on a serious tone. "Dizzi, this is extremely important, okay?"

"What do you mean? What's wrong?" Dizzi asked, apprehensive.

"I... actually don't know that part," said Kenny, looking up at Boris. "You still haven't explained why I'm here."

"I will when you get rid of the files that you found on us while doing your research," Boris said.

"Ah, the research that I was doing before I got jumped and brought here?" Kenny said. "I can do that."

"But we worked so hard to find it," Dizzi said. "Are you sure?"

Kenny sighed. "If we want to make it out of this, then we have no choice, Dizzi. It's just me and you here; our friends are probably out there looking for us, but they could be anywhere, or they could be right outside for all we know. But if we do this now, then we walk free." He looked up at Boris. "Right?"

Boris chuckled. "I am a man of my word."

The bespectacled youngster sighed out and looked around on Dizzi until he had found the files about how the other bladers were being controlled. After a few moments, he had deleted them all successfully, completely wiping them from his laptop.

"There. All of the files have been erased," Kenny said. "Are you going to let me go now?"

"There is actually one more thing that I need your help with," said Boris.

"And what's tha- ooh..."

Kenny was cut off by a small needle pressing into his neck, his body slumping over, only being prevented from dropping onto the table completely by the guards behind him, who held him back and picked him up from the chair a little to sit him up straight.

"Kenny?" Dizzi said. "What happened? What's going on?"

"We're letting you and Kenny go," Boris replied as he picked up the laptop.

"Then why are you picking me up? And where is Kenny going?"

"Kenny is going outside to catch a breath of fresh air," Doctor K said. "And you are walking with us."

"First of all, I need legs for that," said Dizzi. "Second of all, how about no!"

"You know, I never truly realised just how remarkable you are, Dizzi," said Boris.

"Flattery will get you nowhere," the laptop replied.

"No, but you should be a bit more careful with your own words. After all, we do need you for the next part of what's going to happen."

"And what would that be?"

"Well, you probably still know about those chips that we implanted, I'm guessing?" Doctor K assumed.

"Yes. While Kenny deleted the picture files, that'll only stop them from being shared with others, but I still have it locked in my own personal memory bank. Why?"

"As long as it stays with you, then this next part won't be so bad," said Boris. "But you must keep this promise. Understood?"

"As long as you don't hurt Kenny or the others, then yes. Just please... leave them out of it..."

"As I did with Kenny, I'll keep my word."

Boris then walked over to the chambers where the other bladers were being kept, and turned Dizzi around to face it more directly as several guards pulled Miguel of the Barthez Battalion out of his container.

"What's keeping them from escaping?" asked Dizzi. "Are you freezing them as well as controlling their minds?"

"It's not exactly freezing," said Barthez. "The temperature in their chambers is just a few degrees below the current room temperature, which isn't the warmest to start with."

"Luckily, the chips we use keep them... complacent, for the most part," Doctor K said.

"Not to mention compliant," added Barthez. "With these chips, we could do great things for the world of Beyblade."

"And for the world as a whole," Boris finished. "But we can't do it without you."

"Then find somebody else," said Dizzi. "I won't be part of whatever scheme you have, which I can only assume is brainwashing everybody into being your blading soldiers. Just like Kai."

"Kai returned of his own free will," said K. "That was his own fault that he was sick of being second to Tyson, and Kai will admit that himself."

"I know that he will," said Boris. "But I don't care about Kai right now. He's not a part of this." He then placed Dizzi down on the table. "I do, however, care about you right now. And what I need from you right now is to listen to me and do as I say, and you will go free."

Before Dizzi could respond, it suddenly found itself connected to several wires that were plugged into its ports, causing the bit-beast to let out a few gasps of surprise before feeling a pair of hands type on the keyboard.

"What are you doing, Boris?" Dizzi asked.

Boris merely chuckled before turning to a scientist behind him. "You're certain that this is the code that he typed in?"

"Absolutely," the scientist replied.

"Code?" Dizzi asked. "What... what are you talking about?"

"Ah, well, I have one of my scientists observe Kenny as he was looking to get rid of the data relating to the chips, which needs a password to get into as a fail-safe," Boris explained as he finished typing in the code, entering it. "There we go. Not the most complicated code, but it worked."

"Figures that a great mind like his would make a great such as Einstein his password," said the scientist.

"Hold on a second!" said Dizzi. "Why did you hook all of those wires up to me? I don't understand..."

Boris chuckled. "It's simple; we're going to siphon your power into the chips. That way, they'll be at their full potential, and there won't be any more mistakes."

"We thought that they were fine as they were at first, but then the bladers that we tested them started resisting, which we felt was normal at first," said Doctor K.

"But then they began resisting much quicker. So, we needed a better solution, and what better way could we do that than the most intelligent bit-beast ever," said Barthez.

"I can only talk because of Kenny putting me into the laptop," Dizzi said. "Almost anybody can talk. It doesn't make them smart."

"And yet, your data and overall nature is second to none," said Boris. "All of the files stored inside of you... all of the power that you must contain..."

"Power?" Dizzi asked. "As in the same power that you're going to use to turn the entire world into a sick, twisted military unit full of nothing but mindless freaks?!"

"Well, when you put it that way, it almost makes me sound like a monster," Boris said, his tone a bit more aggressive. "No matter. We shall begin." He turned to his scientists. "Is everything fully ready?"

"Yes sir," replied a scientist, finishing jacking the wires into the computer chips. "We're ready to begin the process."

"Then let's begin." Boris walked in front of Dizzi, but his attention was still on the scientists. "Start."

The scientist nodded and flipped a switch, and Dizzi felt a surge of energy rush up through the wires and directly enter her. At first, it felt a little like a power charge, but then she groaned a bit as she energy left through the other side, entering the wires there directly and transferring into the chip.

"Hmm..." Boris said. "A good first effort, but we need more. Turn the power up."

"But, sir-"

"Do it," Boris said, cutting off the scientist. "We can't risk that it isn't enough."

The scientist nodded, albeit hesitantly, and another power surge rushed through Dizzi, but it was noticeable stronger than the previous one, causing the laptop to let out a strangled scream as she felt the power get drained out of her once again, unwillingly passing it to the computer chips.

"Keep going," Boris said to the scientist at the switch. "But keep the power the same. Any more, and we could lose the only chance that we have."

The scientist nodded once more, flipping the switch and causing another surge of power to pass through Dizzi, eliciting another scream of pain from the bit-beast as the power passed through and into the chips once more.

"Good." Boris said. "Again."

As the process happened once more, Boris grinned at Dizzi. He didn't enjoy the screaming coming from the bit-beast, but he did enjoy the process as it happened, knowing that his plan was finally coming to fruition with the help of his enemy.

'Soon...' Boris thought to himself. 'It'll all be over soon... and this world will be mine...'

Well... yeah. I hope that this chapter was good for you all, especially considering the tumult that's been going on with my own Internet lately. I won't be taking a break from writing until it gets better, but it'll take me longer to put something out depending on how quickly things get sorted out. I'll catch you all in the next one. See you!
