Just outside Boris' secret base...

"Where should we leave him?" asked one guard, dragging the unconscious Kenny with another guard.

"I don't know. Just dump him somewhere," the other one answered.

"How long does it take for whatever was in that needle to wear off?"

"About two hours."

"Heh," the first one sneered. "It figures. Boris is so focused on his technology and his plans that he doesn't even bother with good medical supplies."

The second one smirked. "I'd say that that isn't his fault completely, but he doesn't pay us to talk. He probably only pays those scientists a little bit more than what we get, and we do all the heavy lifting."

"We're the movers, they're the thinkers." The first guard then saw some bags full of garbage. "Over there, in front of the bags."

The other guard nodded and the two laid poor Kenny down in front of the bags of garbage, looking around to search if anybody was around. After checking that the coast was clear, a shadowy figure dropped behind them.

"Who the hell are you?" asked one guard as he made out the figure's costume.

"Whoever you are, you didn't see anything," added the other. "Got it?"

"Of course I didn't. I totally didn't see you drag this poor, unconscious kid out and dump him on the streets in the dead of night where he could get hurt."

"Eh, the sun'll be up soon," one of the guards tried defending.

"It's 12:30 in the morning. Now get back inside before I make you."

"You know, I have a hard time telling of Boris has gotten to you completely or not," said one of the guards.

"Don't worry about me. Just shut up and get back inside."

The two guards shrugged their shoulders exasperatedly and walked back inside. The figure shook his head at the two and looked down at Kenny. He then leaned down and gently shook the boy to try and wake him a bit.

"This way, the effects of that needle will wear off a little bit quicker," he said to himself.

"Hm... huh?" Kenny pondered, his eyes opening a bit, but still blurry. "What happened?"

"You were knocked out by some sort of drug that Boris has been working on," said the figure. "I don't know a lot, only that if you wake someone up a little while they're under, then it does reduce the time that it takes to fully recover.

Kenny's eyes squinted through his glasses. "Who... who are you?"

"I'm a friend. That's all that you need to know right now. And I want you to pass a message on to Tyson." The figure paused. "Tell him that I'm sorry for not saying this all sooner, or for helping him, but if he knew, then we'd all be gone for good."

Kenny's eyes opened up a bit more as he started to recognise the voice. "H-Hiro? Is that y-you?"

"Like I said," the figure replied, "I'm a friend." He then chuckled a bit. "But, yes, it's me. But that's not important. I just need you to pass the message along to Tyson, okay?"

Kenny nodded weakly. "I... I can do that..." He then yawned loudly. "Hmm... I'm feeling... tired..."

Hiro remained silent but smiled as Kenny drifted off to sleep, sagging in his arms before Hiro picked him up from where he was, moving his unconscious body a few feet away from the garbage cans and onto a softer part of the pavement.

'I hope to God that Tyson stops all this...' Hiro said in his head. 'I can't be here much longer, and I'm under way too much suspicion as it is...'

With the Bladebreakers in Mr. Dickenson's car...

"Come on..." Tyson grumbled as he sat in Dickenson's car, the champ's arms crossed impatiently. "Where the heck could Kenny be?"

"Relax," Max said. "We'll find him. He couldn't have gotten too far."

"He didn't really go anywhere," Tyson pointed out. "He was taken. I'm sure of it."

"What makes you so sure?" asked Max. "He's smart. He would have found a way to tell us where he was."

"Or at least that he was in trouble?" Ray suggested, looking out the window.

"What caught your eye, tiger boy?" Daichi asked.

Ray squinted a little bit. "It's kind of hard to see it in the dark, but I think I see something shining. It almost looks like a coil of some sort..."

Dickenson spoke through the partition. "Driver, pull over, please."

"Certainly, sir," the driver replied, making a brief U-turn and scooting to about where Ray saw the weird object.

The Bladebreakers all stepped out of the limousine, led by Ray as his eyesight was a huge factor in finding the object. He knelt down and picked it up, confirming his suspicions from earlier as he manipulated the tiny beyblade piece in his right thumb and index finger.

"This is the spring for Kenny's beyblade..." Ray said.

Tyson turned around to his left, seeing something just by the edge of the path a few metres away. "I think... I see something over there..." He walked over to it, leaving the rest of the group as he picked it up. "It's the bottom of his blade!"

Kai nodded as Tyson rejoined the rest of them, then the blue-haired blader looked across the other side. "I think I see more parts up there," he said, then turning to the car. "Drive slowly alongside us. If we're lucky, we should be able to find the other parts along this way."

Max looked up ahead, squinted a little. "With all those turns, it could get pretty hard to see it."

Kai smirked a bit. "It's a good thing that the car has its lights on then, eh?"

Max shrugged. "I'm just saying. Kenny's beyblade isn't exactly the largest, so it stands to reason that the parts could be hard to find, regardless of if it's night or day."

"Well, we'd better get a move on then," said Tyson.

The others nodded, and the rest of the Bladebreakers walked along with him up the road, moving up four blocks before Daichi noticed that he accidentally kicked something further up, using the light that the car provided to see what it was.

"It's his defence ring," the red-haired blader said, bending down to pick up the piece.

"That means that the weight disk should be up next, right?" Hilary asked the team.

"It should be," replied Tyson. "I mean, from what we've seen so far, all of the parts are in order from top to bottom, but who knows? Maybe one of them went out of place?"

"We'll know it when we accidentally stop on a heavy piece of metal," Ray said with a chuckle.

"There's a turn up ahead!" the driver said from the car.

Tyson looked up ahead, the light from the limousine helping greatly as he looked. "Looks like there was a bit of an accident here. There's some tyre tracks that suddenly stopped."

Kai frowned. "It must have been the people with that van that I saw the other night."

"That would make sense," said Max. His eyes then widened a bit. "It also lends credence to the fact that he was kidnapped."

"It just doesn't tell us who did it," Hilary surmised.

"Then let's keep following the trail," Tyson said. "If we can't find out who it was, we can at least find out where these ass-hats are that took Kenny."

The others nodded, then looked ahead to see Dickenson holding a camera with him, pointing it at the ground where the skidded tyre tracks were before taking a picture of them, the flash of the camera giving off some extra light that the car couldn't quite provide.

"What are you up to, Mr. D?" Daichi asked.

"I'm taking a photo to send to the police station. Hopefully this will help them find that van faster," Dickenson explained.

"But aren't we pretty much following it with the trail of Kenny's beyblade parts?" Tyson questioned.

Max smiled. "I think that what Dickenson meant was that it could have been a different van with a different number on it to the one that Kai saw."

"Exactly," the Beyblading chairman replied with a smile. "This will help to narrow it down. And plus, who even knows if this trail will lead us there fully?"

Tyson nodded in understanding, but sighed. "I... I just don't want us to go back home without him, you know? I mean, he's one of our best friends. We're pretty much lost without him when we're blading."

"He'll be fine," Hilary said, sliding her arm through Tyson's, holding his hand with hers. "We're going to find him. But there's no point if we overwork ourselves tonight."

"Let's just keep following the trail for now," said Kai. "If we don't find Kenny, then at the very least we'll have more evidence to send back to the police."

Tyson nodded, and the others kept following the trail, soon coming across the weight disk. With Kenny's beyblade being smaller than the others' blades, they were expecting the weight disk to not weigh as much, but it was actually pretty close to regular beyblade weight.

"Kenny is stronger than we thought," Daichi joked as he held the weight disk.

"Not only that, but we're getting closer," said Ray. "Only two more pieces left."

"Good thing that there were probably no sharp turns in whatever Kenny was in the back of," Max said. "Pretty much all of the parts have been fairly straight forward so far."

"Well, it seems like there's a turn up ahead," said Ray, looking off a bit into the distance. "To the left, from the looks of things."

"That could really screw up the trajectory of the attack ring, depending on where he dropped it," Max said.

"Then let's keep going," said Tyson, walking ahead.

The rest of the team soon followed, knowing that their leader just wanted this situation to be over and done with quickly. They kept their pace up with Tyson as the car slowly turned to its left to follow them, only to stop.

"It's an alleyway," said Ray. "Looks fairly narrow."

"Think you can fit through there?" Hilary called out to Dickenson.

"We should be able to," the chairman replied. "If Kenny is in there, then whoever picked him up must have been able to squeeze through."

Tyson smiled. "We'll give you a signal on if it's clear or not to carry on, okay?"

Dickenson nodded, and Tyson turned back to the alleyway, making his way through. Luckily, the alleyway was just about wide enough for Dickenson's car to fit through, and the vehicle followed slowly until Tyson raised a hand.

"Hold up!" he said, making sure that the light from the car stayed as it was He then crouched down to pick up the next part of Kenny's beyblade. "We've got his attack ring."

"Just one last piece," said Kai.

"Let's get it and get out of here," said Daichi, checking his watch. "It's almost 1:00 am, and I need my sleep if I'm going to be kicking BEGA's butt tomorrow."

"That's if you're blading at all," Kai pointed out. "Remember, we've got to stay on our toes for the battles. We don't know who's up against who."

"Good point," Daichi replied. "Now, come on. Just one last piece."

"I already said that..." Kai muttered under his breath.

They all kept walking forward, the light from the car guiding the team as they carried their search on. Hilary whistled tunelessly to herself before she felt something click under her booted foot. She paused and stepped back a bit before bending down.

"I found the bit-chip!" the brown-haired girl said, struggling to pick it up due to the lack of traction between her fingers and the ground, not unlike picking up a penny. "Come on..." She struggled for a bit before getting it. "Aha!"

"Damn flat ground..." Tyson said. "With the other pieces, at least they had parts that you could pick up better because they had holes and such. But the bit-chip is difficult. And yes, I am speaking from experience," he finished with a chuckle.

"That aside, we have all of the pieces now," said Kai. "Let's get going before-"

The blue-haired blader was cut off as he heard a yawning groan from further down the alleyway, instantly rushing in its direction, soon followed by the others while Max told the car to stay back as there was a tight right turn ahead. Not wanting to risk damaging the vehicle, Dickenson understood.

Kai rounded the corner, and saw Kenny standing up, his legs shaking weakly as he pushed a hand against a nearby wall to stand up. "Ooh... my head..."

"Kenny!" Tyson said, catching up to his bespectacled friend. "Are you okay, dude?"

Kenny tiredly nodded. "Just... really sleepy... and yet, I just woke up five minutes ago..."

Tyson chuckled a bit in relief, not to mention at Kenny's dry tone, but then noticed something. "Where's Dizzi?"

"Dizzi?" Kenny asked, his words slurring a bit before he remembered. "Oh, crap... Boris..."

"What did he do this time?" Max asked, a little sardonic.

"He took Dizzi... him, Barthez, and Doctor K are... are using her for their plans..."

"Then we have to stop them!" Tyson said. "Do you know where the entrance is?"

Kenny shook his head. "No. I was mostly asleep or unconscious on the way up here, and I don't remember seeing any way to enter. I just know that I was in a van, got taken inside, got Dizzi taken away, then I woke up here..."

"Good thing that we followed your trail," said Ray.

Tyson shook his head a bit. "We'll find a way inside, okay?"

The Beyblade champion then felt a hand on his shoulder, turning to see Daichi, who then spoke. "We will, but not tonight."

Tyson smiled a bit. "I know." He then turned to Kenny. "Ready to go get some rest in a nice comfy hotel bed?"

"Eh, why not," Kenny responded. "Beats pavement concrete a few feet away from some garbage bags... I should probably shower when we get back..."

"Or in the morning," Max suggested. "The moment you get into our hotel, you'll probably just fall face-first onto your bed."

Kenny nodded weakly, and walked wearily with his friends as they carried him back to the car. Dickenson was pleased to see Kenny alive, and as soon as the team got inside the car, they made their way back to the hotel.

Ray noticed that Kenny was still a little bit awake, so he spoke up. "So, what exactly is Boris doing that involves Dizzi?"

"He's using her bit-beast power to super-charge this chip he has..." Kenny said. "I don't remember much, but the chip takes control of a person. Apparently, it's been getting better, but only to an extent, which is why they needed Dizzi. I was so close to cracking the code of it when I got taken..."

"Who took you?" Hilary asked.

Kenny yawned loudly. "Sorry. Um, it was Ozuma and Dunga."

"So they're safe," said Max, thinking mostly of Mariam.

"Don't get your hopes up," Kenny said. "The Saint Shields are under the chips' control. So are the Dark Bladers, the Barthez Battalion... oh, and Team Psykick, too..."

"Oh, great," Tyson said, exasperatedly putting a hand over his face. "Hopefully everyone else is okay."

"I didn't see anybody there, so... I think they're fine," said Kenny, slowly growing more tired.

"Was there anyone else?" Kai asked.

Kenny let out another yawn before nodding. "Yeah. Hiro was there."

"Hiro?" Daichi asked. "What's he doing working for Boris?"

Kenny shook his head a bit. "I don't think that he's working for him... I think that he's undercover..." Kenny then sat up a bit. "I just remembered: Tyson, Hiro wanted me to pass a message to you."

"What is it?" Tyson urged.

"He wanted me to tell you that he's sorry for not helping. If you came looking for him, we'd all be hurt... probably even worse..."

"Was there anything else?" Ray asked.

Kenny shook his head. "No, that was all." He then let out another yawn. "Mmm... I'm tired..."

Hilary smiled. "Get some rest, Kenny. We all need it."

The bespectacled blader nodded, and turned on his side once more, closing his eyes and drifting off to sleep for the rest of the journey back to the hotel, where everyone quickly changed into their pyjamas and hit the hay.

Before Tyson went to sleep, he stayed up a bit to put together the pieces of Kenny's beyblade before resting it on his friend's bedside table. Smiling, the champion watched over his friend for a bit before speaking.

"We'll get Dizzi back, Kenny. I promise."

"Tyson..." a tired voice called.

"I'm on my way, Hilary." Tyson then looked at Kenny one last time. "You have my word, dude." He then went to his shared bed with Hilary, curling up with his girlfriend and snuggling close as the whole room slipped into a deep rest, waiting for what just might be their biggest fight yet...

And that's it for another one, folks. I hope that you all enjoyed it. And, yes, the title of the chapter is after one of the songs used in the show. The Beyblade soundtrack was damn good. Still is now, in my opinion. Anyway, I hope that you all enjoyed this chapter. The action is going to resume on the next one, and I'll see you all then. Stay tuned, and take care.
