CHAPTER TWENTY SEVEN- March
The first few months back at school were painful. Hermione and Draco appeared happy and joyous outside of their room. Draco would carry Hermione's books, open doors and sit with her at dinner.
But as soon as they were back in their room the squabbling and bickering started again. The worst night they both got a curse on each other and had to go see Madam Pomfrey. Draco would still do his required duties but it always started in a shouting match.
By the time March had arrive The Dark Lord's patience wore out. "The girl should be with child by now! Send Draco to me now!" Voldemort yelled at Severus. Snape did what was asked of him and came for Draco in the night.
"What do you want?" Malfoy answered in his pajamas when Snape knocked on the door.
"The Dark Lord requires you," Snape said trying not to wake Hermione. Malfoy's eyes grew big with fear and began to ask questions. If Voldemort wanted Draco in the dead of night, it was not a good sign.
Snape allowed Draco to gather a dressing robe before they Apparated to a house unknown to Draco. "My lord, I am yours," he said bowing instantly.
"Enough sniveling, Draco. Tell me, how long have you been a married man?" The Dark Lord asked. Malfoy answered that he had been married for nearly three months.
"And do you couple with your wife often?" Voldemort asked. Draco nodded reverently yes and kept his head bowed. "Lies!" The Dark Lord shouted, cursing Draco in his chest.
"There is no reason the girl should not have a child in her belly!" Voldemort shouted. Draco began to stammer and sputter excuses. "My lord, please. Why a child? She is unfit to carry a half-blood!" Draco said, tears in his eyes.
"Draco, you disappoint me. I thought you were loyal to me!" Voldemort shouted, cursing him again. "I am, I am loyal!" Draco pleaded.
"Then do what I ask of you or we will be having worse visits than this. If it is your wife who needs persuasion, ask her if she would rather her Muggle mother die first or her father," Voldemort threatened.
Hobbled over and in pain, Draco was escorted back to his room by Snape. "Try not to wake her," Snape said dropping Malfoy.
Draco came in and slipped on the cold floor, injuring himself more. Hermione shot out of bed with her wand drawn looking for the intruder. "Malfoy! What the hell is wrong with you?! I nearly cursed you into oblivion. Not that I would mind-" she said before she saw him on the ground.
"What on earth happened to you?!" Hermione gasped seeing him bloody. "The Dark Lord required a visit," he said standing up again. Hermione's heart beat quick and asked "What doe He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named want with you at this hour?"
"He is even more unhappy with our marriage than we are," he said. Sitting down on a chair and looking for a potion he explained to her the nature of his visit. Telling her that if they do not start bedding each other more often he will kill one of Hermione's parents.
Malfoy thought it would be best to leave out that he would be trying quickly to get her pregnant. Hermione would only lose her temper, which would get them both killed.
"Where are my parents at this moment?" Hermione asked. "Safe and unharmed. For now," he told her. "Shall we get started?" Draco asked her after he finished his potion. "Just don't look at me this time," Hermione said going back to her bed.
