Chapter 21
(Imperial Intelligence Headquarters, Imperial palace, Coruscant)
"I grow tired of this director Isard." The hidden visage of lord Cronal darkly intoned as Isard found himself one more having to deal with the paranoia of this man in just a few hours since their first meet. Apparently Cronal was more up to date then Isard gave him credit, for and now he was taking out his vindicated sense of self worth out on Armand, and he didn't have the energy after pulling an all-nighter to fight the dark man.
"The attack upon Eriadu has been nothing but a waste of resources and a diversion! The Moffs would never have actually thought they could seize the sector capitol with such ease." Cronal declared and though Armand could not make out the mans features he knew Cronal was probably livid with anger and paranoia for Isard's initial lack of merit and lack of will to throw his support behind Cronal and his ideas.
"I think the main problem we need to be concerned with my lord Cronal," Armand interjected as his voice grew scratchy from a lack of will to stay awake, and talking all night.
"Is that the Moffs have now committed themselves to what looks to be a protracted invasion of Seswenna." Armand shifted himself forward in his desk chair, and folded his hand together while keeping eye contact with the image of Cronal.
"I fail to see how your foresight to see this feint at Eriadu for a surprise attack on Seswenna relates in anyway to your thoughts on a traitor being involved in the inner circles of the Empire, calling the shots my lord. I simply do not see it."
"That is because you feel not the force, and lack vision, and perhaps are incompetent in you aging years, director." Cronal coolly retorted, and Armand bit the inside of his cheeks to stop himself from blurting a scathing retort.
"The Force was alight with power. A great disturbance has rocked through the entire galaxy and all you fools whom can't feel, can't even comprehend not the slightest inkling to it!" Cronal declared in his androgynous voice, but the pitch grew higher with anger.
"Events are being shaped. Moves are being made, people are being directed, as secrets twist and turn about the galaxy and float through the air in their own aroma of deciet and ordered, chaos. Were these actions sanctioned by his majesty they would be commendable, but they were not. The Force dictates that changes are being made and clouded is the future. That is why, director Isard, you will continue to inform me as to the progress of the battle at Seswenna. That battle will be one of two things, and depending on its outcome I will have my theories personally vindicated once more." Cronal rambled on and Armand remained silent through gritting teeth.
"Either Seswenna will fall, and the Moffs are brilliant tacticians, or at least this commander is. Or Seswenna miraculously holds like all the other worlds and the Moffs are proven incompetent yet again, at which point it will be clear. Someone does not want key imperial worlds damaged too much. Because they themselves will rule it in their own minds." Cronal finished as his holo-figure inclined his head in self assurance to his own paranoid though path.
"Now, director, continue to keep me appraised of the situation of Seswenna and the war in its entirety. My suspicions shall be realized, and then we shall see where this ever changeable galaxy goes." With that Cronal's visage vanished away and Armand didn't have time to even nod his head in understanding.
A large sigh of tired annoyance escaped his lips, as Armand looked to his desk chrono and saw daylight was approaching, and it was time for his under-director to take over for now. "Time to go home." He said picking up some datapads he needed to work on after waking up, and the director left the Intelligence office with a distinct feeling that this war would be the death of him.
(Vaders Palace, Same Time)
The night of Coruscant had passed on by and the two Sith lords had settled into a strange kind of relaxed almost board meeting like calm. After the confrontation and revelation of his daughter Vader and Kun had retired from training to a lounge room, that Vader admitted to never using until now. It was filled with several wooden tables, finely crafted and expensive, surrounding the room was a healthy collection of holo-books, and even flimsy, or paper, books. A true rarity of great expense indeed. There was a fireplace for show, that was artificial of course, but added to the whole feel of the room. Their were lounge chairs and a very comfortable looking lounge couch off to the right most wall. Kun found the room….cozy. The two Sith were sitting in the chairs facing one another, as they decided to waste the night away discussing their plans and moves while they had the time. Exar could feel however, that Vader was always becoming distracted by the prospect of meeting his daughter.
"Apart from the Hands and scattered servants of the Emperor, do you know of any other dark side affiliated force users that serve the Emperor, now that we're on the subject?"
"The Emperor has many underlings who use the Force, Kun." Vader replied crossing his arms across a new but still loose fitting shirt, as Kun believed Vader was still enjoying his new freedom from his suit.
"Then, like the Stormtroopers, they must be picked off, but it needs to be convincing." Vader nodded slowly in agreement as he brought a hand up in thought on the matter.
"Just what does he have in regards to these assets?"
Vader shrugged off what he believed to be offhand knowledge to all, but answered Kun nonetheless.
"The Hands are his personal, and most loyal of servants. They would grovel at his feet for months without end if he just commanded it. They will be hard to contain." Vader sneered at the thought of the Hands,
"Interesting….my apprentice was a Hand if which you may already know," Vader nodded in reply. "Perhaps my apprentice can be used for a lot more than just military frontline command. If the Emperor is so sure of his Hands loyalty, then that gives us an opening with my apprentice. I will just need to, hmm," kun trailed off once more looking for the right word. "I'll need to counsel him on what to do, how to act, and what we need t know of the old man, which may mean acting against out own interests to keep my apprentice in the Emperors loop."
Vader nodded again. "Agreed." The blonde haired Sith lord said before he grew thoughtful again.
"However, the Hands are not the only dark side oriented group under command of my master we need to worry about. There are the Inquisitors-"
"Ah yes I remember an odd man named Tremayne being the representative of the Inquisitors during the initial attack on Bestine." Kun interjected and Vader sneered.
"Yes he is one of the Inquisitors. They are, the majority of them, fallen Jedi that are tasked with hunting down those that remain, and either turning of killing them. They are above rank over all other dark side orders of the Emperor, they report to him alone."
"Then like the Jedi and Sith of old, they will make fine frontline leaders and saboteurs that will unfortunately due to the very nature of war die, right Vader?" Kun sarcastically quipped. Which Vader once more inclined his head in agreement.
"It will be harder than you think to get my master to put the full force of the inquisitors behind such a frontline role in the galaxy, and in this war."
"Ah, but Vader you forget." Kun replied raising a pointed finger in reply.
"The Emperor has already tasked me with the job of forming for him new Sith acolytes, to serve him and his new Sith order, as he has tossed aside rather easily this so called, Rule of Two, you and your master followed." Vader made a 'hmm,' noise at the reminder.
"Then you plan to go forward and train some of his underlings in the ways of the dark side?"
"Of course!" Kun said smilingly. "As I have said before I will train them enough to make your master happy with results, but beyond that I think the war will keep me too preoccupied. Along the way though…I think I will begin looking for more acolytes of my own across the galaxy since I will be out and about so much often now."
Vader frowned to that statement however. "So you plan on building up your own army of Sith followers?" Exar sighed as if he had just realized that his looking for acolytes could easily be construed as a move against Vader preemptively.
"There is nothing to stop you from gaining your own apprentices of course lord Vader, but as I have said all my assets are to be used for our mutual gain until Palpatine is gone. Including any and all acolytes. I mean you now have two technically with your daughter and all." Kun reminded and Vader once more seemed preoccupied with thoughts of the princess in the same building as him.
"Oh, that remind me!" kun declared suddenly jumping forward slightly in his seat.
"When you no doubt confront that idiot Organa later, do me a big favor and don't make it public and blow our cover."
"Of course I wont do anything to jeopardize our position Kun."
"It never hurts to be sure lord Vader. Also, do me a favor and don't kill him yet. I may need to play with him a while longer. You may find that using Leia against him is a powerful tool that bends his will and ability quite easily, and you may find his spirits quite broken already due to….certain losses amongst the senate yesterday."
Vader nodded his understandings. "I will….be sure , to not, kill that man." Vader assured though his own anger was boiling to the surface.
"Excellent!" Kun replied as he looked to a nearby chrono.
"Ah, sadly morning is now fast upon us, and I must return to work!" Kun declared rising to a stand and Vader looked to the same chrono as he sighed loudly.
"I'll need to put that damn suit back on now. I have things that need doing today as well." Vader then joined Kun in standing.
"I will be meeting with the Emperor again this morning, and will be presenting Viathan back to his master. If I do not contact you soon, well I may have been found out." Exar said rather lightheartedly.
"Afterwards if all goes swimmingly I mean, I will send word of it, and inform you what tasks I will be involved in for the time being. In a weeks time I will be heading out to the Tapani sector to subdue the Moff stronghold. I recommend informing your lackey Gustavu of nothing. Let him merely think I am a non-party to your two's agreement. I think he needs to be eliminated. He knows far too much."
"Agreed." Vader replied with a curt incline of his head. After all Vader felt no sense of loyalty to the Moff of Tapani, all that mattered was he and now, his family, his daughter.
"With that settled, I will be on my way. I need to wake up Viathan along the way too." kun said to himself aloud.
"Until later then, lord Vader." He said with a smirk and took off with Vader only nodding to his fellow Sith lords departure.
(Exar Kun, POV)
Exar had quickly made it back up to the floor where his apprentice had taken up a room provided by Vaders apprentice, and Vader as well. He had entered the room to find Viathan laying on the floor in a fetal position on the floor, and not laying in the comfort of the provided bed. Kun used the force to stretch out his senses and feel that Viathan was in utter turmoil as he slept, his dreams likely twisted into nightmares. Kun had quickly awoken Viathan who had jumped awake, and snapped out of his sleep in a very conditioned manner.
"Welcome back to the realm of the real and the living apprentice." Kun greeted Viathan as he kneeled close to the boy on the floor.
"Forgive me master, I must have overslept."
"No, actually I failed to inform you yesterday that you must meet with your old master this morning." Viathan had visibly paled at that, but nodded and said he was ready and willing to do it.
"As you should be! The Emperor will be testing your for any deceptions, but if and when you prove your continued loyalty to him you must be ready to be my man on the inside of his inner circles." Viathan seemed unsure and nervous but again nodded all the same.
"Do not hide the fact that you go by the name Viathan now. He will possibly already be aware of your name change, but tell him the truth, and the truth is you demanded a Sith name!" Viathan looked up to his grey eyed master and nodded once more as he remembered demanding the name himself.
"Now come. Let's get this business over with." Exar said and offered a supportive hand to Viathan, who grabbed it and got to a stand
"What of the princess, master? Will she be coming?" The boy asked as they entered into the hallway, and Kun quickly jerked to look back at Viathan before shaking his head calmly.
"No Viathan. She shall remain here for now. Don't worry she will be watched over by Vaders apprentice. There are no enemies in this palace today/" Viathan looked concerned and Kun only shook his head at the naivety of his apprentices strong feelings of protection for the daughter of Vader.
"She will be fine. Right now we have an old man to worry about. Now come along we mustn't be late." Exar ordered and tossed his robes out of his way as he began walking briskly towards his shuttle with a quiet Viathan behind him…..
It was not long before Kun and Viathan landed their shared shuttle at the palace as the star of Coruscant began to climb higher into the air as the city-world continued on with its business. Mattizz was with them having apparently rested on the shuttle, though Viathan wandered why his masters commanding Massassi warrior was sleeping in his shuttle, he didn't bother asking his master. Kun was a man that answered questions easily enough and didn't seem fazed by annoyances too often, but there was an air about the man at times, that Viathan understood was not to be trifled with by he or anyone else, and for whatever reason the force warned Viathan not to ask too many questions about the Massassi and its business there.
"Now Viathan," Kun addressed as they descended the ramp, and came to a sudden stop. "When you go before the Emperor you must put all thoughts of our dealings in the back of your mind. Focus fully on your training, focus on the old emotions your old allegiances for him, and do not speak unless spoken to, fo even the smallest statement out of context can unravel all our work. Mine and Vaders and our mutual interests."
"Yes, my master." Viathan inclined his head, and Kun nodded as he motioned to continue walking.
They passed through the many and great halls of the grand and massive imperial palace until they reached the very pinnacle point of the palace where the sights of Coruscant almost seemed small. The red guards didn't bother making Kun wait as their lord made it known that they were expected.
The two Sith strode on past and Viathan could feel recognition stream off the guards as they looked at him, but nonetheless Viathan went on down the familiar long walkway to the throne where the old man sat. Standing off to the side Viathan could make out a male human figure looking out a large window of the throne room and not paying them any mind as he was dressed in a long white coat, and had a striking but imposing figure to him.
"Welcome back lord Kun. I trust your night was…as uneventful as ours."
Sensing the ploy Kun inclined his head respectfully before replying.
"If by uneventful you mean the sudden disturbance in the force that radiated across Coruscant, then yes your majesty I had an uneventful night." Palpatine sneered as if he had expected Kun to say he felt nothing but merely nodded. Before laying his glowing yellow eyes upon Viathan who fell into his deep kneed bow where his head nearly reached the floor.
"Ah….welcome home, my young servant." Sidious welcomed in a very oily filled voice that reeked of insincerity and suspicion.
"I live to serve your will forever and always my most gracious and wondrous master." Viathan replied as the old ways of greeting his master came flooding back to him, and the voice within him whispered, oddly enough into his mind, what he should say. It was helping him, and honestly Viathan felt a chill go through him.
"Lord Kun I think it would be prudent if you left us for now, and go meet with the leaders of the future Tapani theatre of war. I wish to speak to my hand in privacy."
Kun bowed. "As you wish your highness, and he turned on his heel and left. Viathan knowing that he had to, and he was now all alone with his old master.
The doors to the throne opened and closed as far as Viathan could hear from his kneeling position and the Emperor sighed in a happy manner as Kun left.
"Now that we are alone dear Valek, Tell me why you have taken the name Viathan on Alderaan? Reports of your moves against that pathetic rebel uprising there have reached me, and they report you as a commander Viathan, why is that?"
"Oh gracious master, as I learned more in the way of the dark side, and honed my skills as a warrior, in your name, I sought to like the Sith before me, to be rid of my past identity. I want to be Viathan. A stronger, a smarter, a faster, and more powerful servant to your cause master. I demanded it of lord Kun and he allowed me to do this. I humbly give myself over to your punishments if you are displeased by my actions."
Viathan responded with complete monotone as he was used to, and he could feel the dark side prickling about him and testing him as the Emperor entered effortlessly into his mind, and Viathan flooded his mind with images of battle, or his demand to be named Viathan while not having Kun ever mention him as apprentice or even speak in his memories.
The sickening intrusion of his dark overlord made Viathan shiver, but he knew his mast-or rather, the Emperor, would think this normal as in the past Viathan had always shown awe for the old man. Only now he didn't let Palpatine know it was because he was honestly now afraid, and sick of having Sidious inside his head. Viathan brought forth images of his mission in Crevasse City on Alderaan, his attack in Aldera City, and then his mission on Dantooine. It was there that he felt his master linger as he brought forth images of the Jedi he fought, the dark haired, dark eyes, and darker-toned woman who had removed his left hand and spared him like a pathetic incompetent beginner unable to defend himself.
"How did you feel after being defeated by this Jedi, my boy?"
Viathan bowed even deeper to the point where his head did touch the floor.
"It was a great dishonor master." Viathan replied in anger. "She brought me low as if I were nothing. She made e feel incapable and weak. I wanted to kill her but she defeated and spared me to hurt me, because she knew I would be more defeated alive in that moment then in death. She was quite skilled, my lord." Viathan intoned at the end, and he could feel the Emperor nodding in reply.
"I know who this Jedi is. She has a very….interesting history with me personally. This Jedi has a personal vendetta against me, my young boy. She knew you would come before me in your failure. I have already sent the inquisitors after her. She will not get far." The Emperor declared self-assuredly, not knowing anything of Nar Shaddaa.
"The Jedi matters not. What matters, my boy, is what you think of Exar Kun. Does this lord plan against me?" The Emperor asked, and Viathan's eyes widened from his kneeling position as he realized the Emperor had not sensed deception from him.
"I have not seen any personal actions from the lord himself my might lord. He has hidden himself greatly from my presence while we traveled on our mission. Then he left me on Alderaan to deal with the rebels that would come. He taught me many powers, and how to more properly hone my meditations within the force master." Viathan explained.
"His Massassi are his loyal slaves. They do not a thing unless he explicitly says so. They would hold their breath and die if he demanded it of them. They would sever an arm, a leg, throw themselves on a blade for him. It is they that he would confide his plans master, not I. I can not be trusted by him, he senses my loyalty to you." Viathan declared and he swore the voice was smiling at his deceptions.
As was the Emperor. Only the elder Sith believed his loyalty to be complete as it was when he had left.
"Indeed a smart Sith keeps his own council. You have done well my boy, and for your efforts I shall allow you to keep your little name change. Viathan." Palpatine said in a slow and almost laughing manner.
Viathan bowed his head lowly again. "Thank you my lord and master." he replied, and the Emperor called for him to rise.
"I want you to meet someone very integral to our future Empire my boy. He will be head of a new and very special section within the Imperial Scientific department." Sidious informed him as the man by the window turned and took a few steps forward, hands still clasped behind his back.
"This is Dr. Kalev Zalliste. You may thank him for providing you with life, his blood, and his smarts." The Emperor intoned with a dark cackle as Viathan stared wide-eyed of the man that Sidious just called Zalliste. This man Kalev, he could see it in his face…he was his father.
"Greetings Valek. I do hope you don't mind me calling you by your name." He said finally in an accented voice that Viathan couldn't place, but he was far too preoccupied by what he had just learned to care.. His heart was beating a mile a minute, his eyes were fixed in the older mans face.
"Are you really my-"
"father? Yes I am. Though it is a complicated story to exactly that came to be. I will happily share what I know however, so long as his most gracious majesty allows it."
"I do, Dr." The Emperor declared from his throne seemingly extra satisfied for whatever reason.
"The I would like to take him and speak with him in private if you bid it lord."
The Emperor looked to Viathan who bowed his head under the gaze of the yellow eyes.
"You shall remain under Kun, Viathan. You will report back to me if he makes any mistakes and reveals his plans to you. I intend for you to go to the front in less than a week with him. Other than that, you are free to go." The oily voice of the Emperor declared as he waved a casual hand shooing the pair out of the throne. Bowing respectfully, Kalev made to leave in a brisk manner, and Viathan bowed deeper so, before he too followed his….father out. The Emperor behind them only staring at their retreating figures as the dark side whispered to him. 'Why does the Force feel to be retreating from me? I must bring the galaxy back under heel and fast. The subjugation of the Moffs shall see to that!' Palpatine thought and turned his seat to star out into the heavens of the Coruscant sky.
(Imperial Senate Building)
Bail Organa had seen more death and horror in the last week or so then he had seen in quite a long time, and he knew that deep inside he was responsible for much of it. He had failed the Republic long ago, and now he had failed rebellion against the corruption of the Empire, that from recent reports was growing more popular in the eyes of the population as fears of the Moffs spread and the idea of rebellion suddenly seemed like a very horrid idea to many within the core.
Yesterday had been perhaps the hardest thing to sit through. Watching as not only Mon Mothma but Garm Bel Iblis, were butchered by a man he helped propel into galactic stardom, Exar Kun. He had stood there helpless and quiet as he watched Mon tortured, and Bel Iblis carved apart. It had sickened him as he watched made him lurch in disgust, and when he had finally been escorted to his apartment suite here on Coruscant he finally allowed the bile and disgust free and vomited up all his stomachs contents, and still he felt the shakes hit him as he wallowed further into despair.
Now all that mattered was that his daughter was safe, but he had been denied access to communications to Alderaan by his oh so gracious Imperial overlords, and had not been able to contact her and tell her the truth, how she shouldn't believe what the Empire was saying about him. Oh how he missed that big borwn eyed girl, his daughter, and he couldn't await to see her once more.
As bail continued musing in the deathly quiet halls of the senate as all senators walked in silence as if they were all broken children waiting for their angry parents to let them go, he passed by a set of landing pads, and continued down the hall as he neared his office in the senate. Had he been looking and aware of his surroundings he would have seen the hulking figure that awaited him, maybe he could have realized then that Exar Kun had finally broken his promise of concealing Leia's identity.
"Senator Organa, I would speak with you at once!" The booming voice of none other then Darth Vader said, and Bail jumped back as he finally realized the Sith standing in the hall clad in his usual black armor, draping cape, and mask of emotionless Imperial might. Vaders arms were crossed and bail swore he could feel the eyes of the once Anakin Skywalker bearing down upon him.
"Speak with me lord Vader?" Bail finally responded.
"Whatever for? Am sure you are as busy as I now that the Moffs are-"
"Enough!" Vader cut him off and bail jerked back in surprise at the anger, as he feeling of cold fear crawled along his spine.
"I will speak with you in the privacy of your office. I have already gone through and deactivated the spy equipment."
The candid or rather blunt manner in which Vader spoke of the Imperial spying on him made Bail become immediately wary. He could feel what this was about but by the Force he would not accept that until it was absolutely obvious.
"Very well lord Vader." bail bowed as he gingerly walked into his office with his robe carried regally over his right arm.
Then when Vader entered and forced the door to close, he grabbed Bail by his shoulder and spun him around so fast bail grew dizzy.
"I want to know what happened that night right now! Everything you know about Padmé will be said here and now before I make sure you suffer beyond your wildest nightmares!" Vader said deathly quiet even coming from his mask as he neared his mask ever closer to Bail's face.
Bail shook his head in a denying manner. "I haven't the slightest-"
Vader clamped a hand around his throat and slammed him into the wall behind the senator. Bail choked and gasped as the strength of Vader lifted him several inches off the floor while still holding his neck.
"Listen to me Organa! I am in NO mood for your games, your poisonous words of denial. They reek of dishonesty and I am done with playing around! Exar Kun may want you alive, for what I know not! But I am more than willing to kill you and deal with him later! So you will either tell me now what you know of the death of my wife, and why you thought you had the right to keep MY daughter from me or help me senator, I will tear you and your pathetic little precious Alderaan apart without a second thought!"
Bail's brown eyes darted to the eye ports of Vaders mask as he desperately tried to see how serious Vader was as if his voice and anger wasn't obvious. With a shuddering breath and an almost unconscious tear ran down his left cheek, as it came to him, that it was truly over.
"Obi-Wan brought her ship to Polis Massa, where I and master Yoda were after his attempt to kill the Emperor." Bail finally whispered out as he fought to control his tears from showing anymore weakness, and Vader placed him back down to the floor and released his neck, and in silence beckoned him to continue speaking.
"He said that you had…choked her, with the force. She was in a bad state, barely able to regain consciousness. She went into labor soon after they arrived." Bail went on rubbing his neck that he was sure would be bruised by Vaders hand.
"She was awake for that, and she gave birth to…" Bail thought for a minute and chose his words carefully. "She gave birth to Leia. She was the one who named her before she…before she died. The droid medical staff could not understand how she was dying. She was medically sound, but she was failing to respond to treatment. The droids were very blunt in their stating that she had lost the 'will to live,' as they put it. After labor, and the stress of what had happened upon that hellish world you were at," bail said almost accusingly, "she could not or would not come back to us. She died there, and I adopted Leia. Because no one else was available for her-"
"Her father yet lives! I am here, and you had no right to her Organa!" Vader boomed once more in rage.
"I did not kill her, I didn't kill her." Vader intoned to himself after the outburst but Bail rather foolishly snorted.
"You might as well anyways! She was under so much stress that you put her under that she gave up! You killed her indirectly and its all the same as running her through with your saber of choking her you-"
Vader slammed a fisted right hand into Bails face and the senator fell back and hit the back of his head against the wall. He shook off the dazed feeling he had and looked back up to Vader who seemed to be breathing rapidly and barely controlling his rage as his respirator began compensating for his fast breathing and making strange distorted sounds.
"Do, NOT tell me what you do not understand Organa!" Vader seethed and Bail swore he saw the dark lord shake in fury, as he reached up and felt blood come from his nose where Vader no doubt hit and nearly broke.
"I…I did not mean to….I thought she betrayed me to Kenobi…it's all his FAULT!" Vader boomed as he continued to shake, and Bail warily responded.
"Still blaming others for what you have done Vader? Your wife, Padmé was loyal to you and loved you until the very end, Obi-Wan said as much. She foolishly believed that a good part of you remained, despite how you attacked her." Bail explained with no sense of anger, or hate about him as he just talked to Vader in the most free manner he could remember. Oddly enough Vader just stood and listened.
"I did what I thought best for the children, I did not want Leia to grow up with the constant looming prospect that she would have to become eternally angry, hateful, and filled with pain at what you did, and what the Emperor would want of her. You know he will try to use her against you, and use her and her anger at me for what I've done and the anger at my lies, and the anger for who her real father is, because she loathes what you do and what you are." Bail again said in a whispery voice, more like he was explaining facts instead of being accusatory.
Bail allowed another tear to fall as his heart broke at what he was about to say.
"Take her Vader. Tell her the truth and do what you will. But be her father. That is all I ask, is that you be her father, and not let the Emperor make her what he made you. She deserves better than all of us." Bail then slumped back and just lay there in pain, both internal and external.
Vader looked down at him, and Bail wouldn't see it, bit behind his mask Vader let his emotion get the better of him at what bail had said and tears leaked from his eyes freely. Not being able to speak again Vader turned and began to leave, but stopped at the door before turning to the broken senator on the floor.
"You said children Organa…why is that?" Vader asked and remembering that he and indeed slipped up bail turned to Vader and oddly smiled.
"You're right I did. Curious slip of the tongue don't you think?" bail asked and Vader merely inclined his head, as something like a mutual acceptance between the two men passed, and while Vaders heart beat a million miles a second as his suspicion was confirmed he left bail alone.
Because as he walked briskly through the halls and figured Bail knew more than he was saying he had a daughter to meet, and another child out there in the galaxy to look for.
With a genuine and hidden smile behind his mask Vader thought.
'Your secured comms station wasn't too hard to find Organa. I do hope you use it in the coming days, and reveal to me that which you know. If not I will find you once more.' With that in mind Vader decided that he would have someone tail the senator for a while in case bail wasn't stupid enough to use his comms terminal in his office or suite.
Last thing Vader did before he headed back to his palace for the meeting of a lifetime, he picked out of his pocket a recording device that had recorded his entire confrontation with Bail. Proof from the mans mouth himself that Vader was Leia's father. With that in mind Vader smiled again, and made way for his palace.
Authors Note: Sooooooo, do you guys like it, hate it? let me know please! :) Also let me get something straight that I think I made confusing last chapter. Concerning pairings I am having a hard time getting across what I am saying, when I asked what you guys wanted in terms of pairings some of you guys got it, but others are confused and I just want to make my question clear so you guys can reply and tell me what you want clearly.
In regards to pairings then, of the canoncharacters who would you like to see together, and by that I mean do you guys want the canon pairings to happen as they should, by that I mean they end up with who they are with in canon? If not, who would you like them to be with, I leave that up to you, and I will say whether or not it is possible. I really don't think anyone cares about my OC's right? I mean I like OC's personally but I don't think most people really care about their love lives all too much, but if I am the idiot here and you guys do want them paired up with other OC's or canon characters, though that will surprise me greatly, who and why please? Please everyone who cares respond to this Authors Note please, and thank you for reading through it. As usual please excuse or point out any and all grammatical errors, and enjoy! :D
