The action of the little girl shocked Ratchet, and when she lifted her arms in a motion for him to pick her up, he dumbly stared at her.

"Please, Hatchet?" She rasped quietly, her throat raw from her sobbing and her eyes glistening from her tears.

He visibly jerked at the mispronunciation of his name; a nickname given by a certain pair of maniac twins. Who told her it? Or was it an innocent mistake? It was something that he hadn't heard in so long; it nearly made him nostalgic...

Pleading amber eyes snapped him out of it, "Please?"
