Ratchet didn't know why the girl wanted to come to him for comfort. He certainly didn't exude waves of calm and peaceful energy that the humans would be attracted to; that was more of an Optimus thing. The aged Medic was more of a grumpy caretaker of the Autobots that begrudgingly put up with their occasional stupidity (thank Primus Sideswipe and Sunstreaker were stationed several galaxies away, otherwise stupidity would be a daily occurrence!). He supposed he was the closest substitute for a familiar adult at the moment, and if it would stop the crying...
