Chapter 7

Found

A castle loomed over the horizon as Seto looked out over the field. Their trip to the gates was quick and painless, minus a few bird-bat creatures that tried attacking. They only became food for his dragon. Whatever was so dangerous about the world, he couldn't see it. Besides the dragon his Blue-Eyes took out, the mess at Duel Academy a week ago seemed more apocalyptic. They came to the castle walls and he looked from his perch. There weren't many guards that he could see, but he guessed there were more on top of the walls. He dismissed his dragon before they attempted to cross the bridge. Blue-eyes could have made it through the castle gate, but for the sake of not causing unwanted attention, it was best not to have his dragon roam. As amusing as it would be to terrorize people, he wasn't playing a game. The people inside the walls probably wouldn't appreciate it and therefore not cooperate without force. Two of Zelda's guards walked passed him and he watched them take the still unconscious Melissa ahead of them. Zelda and the green clad elf got off their horses and handed them to the guards posted at the gate.

Seto ignored the two and walked over to one of the guards that wasn't busy. He stopped in front of the smaller man and was about to ask if he had seen his sister, but didn't as he heard armor vibrating. "Are you trembling in fear?"

"Yes- I mean, no… you aren't scary with your dragon and are most definitely safe in Castle Town."

Seto turned to Zelda, "Who does the hiring around here?"

"Dead," She answered flatly. He rolled his eyes.

"Oh, I can't imagine why."

"It's not their fault, Hyrule was at peace for a long time so the guard's quality was for the sake of patrolling and keeping up laws." Link explained quickly. "Not monsters, but they are improving."

"I don't want to know what they were like before."

"Probably a little like you when I beat you in Duel Monsters." Atem smirked.

Seto almost challenged him there, but he had something more important than crushing the pharaoh, that wasn't something that happened often. He turned to the soldier again. "Have you seen a brunette girl with blonde streaks with green or blue eyes about this high come through here?"

"N-not since I started, Milord…" The guard stuttered. "Please don't hurt me with your dragon."

"It would be insulting to my dragon to attack you with her." Seto growled. Useless guards, knights, whatever the hell they were, they were all pathetic from what he could tell. His students would do better than these jokers and some of them were only fifteen. These were supposed to be grown men? "I'd be using someone on your level, like a puffball."

"Stop picking on the guard, Seto." The pharaoh told him. "Maybe we should ask the last patrol group to see if they saw her."

"Yes, they might know, very intimidating lots, they do most of the fighting and keeping track of who comes and goes." The guard agreed apparently happy at the thought of them leaving. Spineless coward.

"Where are they now?"

"In the gate tower…"

"Thank you, you have been helpful."

Seto rolled his eyes turning his attention to the field. He scanned it expecting his sister to appear in the horizon, but nothing showed itself. Zelda and Link led the way and he followed turning away from the field as the soldier they left behind beamed in happiness. If that was the night guard, he was most likely a runner… how had the kingdom not fallen yet baffled Seto. He looked at the battle ready queen and hero… perhaps if there were a few of them, they didn't need an army to defend against a lot of the assault. The green kid though still somewhat pissed him off, like Yugi and Atem did, but Zelda was alright. He could have a conversation with her and not need to simplify his words. Though, he was positive he had pissed her off on more than one occasion. Oh well.

The walk was a rather short one as they stopped just inside the gates of the walls. A group of soldiers with their helmets off stood off to the side like they literally just got off duty and were waiting for the dismissal. He was about to question them when Zelda walked over and they all straighten themselves out before bowing.

"Rise…" She told them and they rose. Seto thought he heard a sigh in her voice, but he let it go. "Any news on today?"

Seto crossed his arms, it was a good question to get details on his sister as well as any other news that might have swept through the gates on the other two that most likely ended up in the world.

"The woman who attacked Telma's Bar hasn't returned, very quiet for the rest of the day since the events this morning."

"Excellent, any new arrivals?"

"Just a few from the mountains, the monsters have apparently made their way up there. There are two… creatures that were among them."

"Creatures?"

"Yes, large furry creatures, but they could speak. The male one has been making soup for his stay, it's incredible." The soldier said with a bit of a smile before going serious. "Thankfully he brought his own food reserves; I don't know how long ours was going to last with the amount of arrivals coming in by the day."

"Must be Yeto and Yeta. It must be getting pretty bad up there if they have left their home." Link stated just above a mumble, but loud enough for Seto to hear. "They are preparing for an attack."

"Looks like we came at a good time." Atem whispered next to him and Seto grunted. Maybe there was something hiding in the shadows getting ready to spring. A divide and conquer strategy. After luring in the civilians into one location, it would be easy to kill them in one go. It would be something he would do, especially if there were mountains. The last thing he would want is to be hunting down people there. He sighed silently to himself. He needed to find Regan before Hyrule's problem became his if it wasn't his problem already.

"Hopefully this is just the monsters having a better advantage of getting to and from places and not a planned arrangement." Zelda suggested breaking into Seto's thoughts also just above a mutter.

"Perhaps… but in the meantime, I can say personally that the soup is amazing and fulfilling. Do you want to try some before the council meeting you are planning?"

"I'd appreciate that." Zelda smiled before turning to the soldier. "Anyone else?"

"Electra and Dark Link also returned."

"Electra?" Atem asked.

"You remember something?" Seto asked and the pharaoh nodded.

"Something familiar about the name… I could have sworn I've heard it before."

"Probably because it's a name of a Greek goddess and a comic book hero." He grunted, but didn't bother to mention the fact that Link had said Electra fifteen million times before hand. What tipped off a magically memory if it wasn't tipped off before?

"Yes… but that's not where I heard it." The pharaoh didn't continue his thought out loud.

"Well, if they're back, either something happened or Dark did something." Link growled in the silence of Atem's thoughts. "Please tell me he's in the cells."

"At the bar, Sir Link, drinking his milk."

"Tell me he isn't actually sitting in a bar drinking milk." Seto said in disbelief. "Because that is the least emo thing I've heard about this guy,"

"It's ninety proof in your world." Link said turning to him.

"And if he's the same size you are…" he sized up the green hero and did some quick math. "He must be very drunk."

"I wish, maybe he could be arrested for being drunk in public. For some reason he can't get drunk."

"There was the time he got a bit tipsy." Zelda reminded him. "Still able to fight though and won a drinking challenge."

"The only challenge he'll ever win."

"This guy sounds like a bundle of joy, now." Seto started changing the topic. He turned to the guard grabbing the soldier's attention. "Did a girl with brown hair with blonde streaks with green or blue eyes come through here."

"Besides the queen…" The guard pondered in thought before realization spread across his face. "Wait! Electra and the Shadow did come in with a girl."

"And this didn't come to mind before?!"

"W-well no, the two of them often bring in people who they have rescued." The guard stuttered under his glare. "Now that I think about it, she looked at lot like you, just as scary."

"What did you do to make her scary, look up her skirt?" He asked now curious. Regan wasn't exactly scary looking, she looked twelve. And if she knew this game off by heart; she would have encouraged the appalling guards, not intimidate them like he was doing.

The guard blushed and looked away from him. "Well I wouldn't say that, one of my men might have pointed it out as it happened when she got off Electra's horse- oh gods please spare my men!"

"You all attempted to look up my sister's skirt?!" he shouted. The weak guard was one thing, but looking up Regan's skirt was asking him too much. These guards needed to be put out of their miserable lives.

"Calm down," Atem growled as he grabbed Seto's arm that was reaching for his sword. "She probably gave them what they deserved. Besides we know there was nothing to see because it's a skort."

"I swear it was by accident and we meant no offence." The guard pleaded and Seto realized none of these fools were worth his time.

"Whatever," Seto said tugging his arm out of Atem's hold. "Where is she now?"

"Also at the bar, Milord, sorry, Milord."

What was with these soldiers and calling him Milord, whatever, he wasn't going to deny the title, especially not from these 'accidental peepers'. If it happened again, he wasn't going to just let it go. "Next time it happens; you won't have to worry about monsters anymore."

"You do realize it's an offence to threaten a guard," Link sighed, but he didn't seem like he actually cared about the rule. "Right?"

"Screw the rules, I have money."

"Do you have our currency?"

"Give me an hour and I'll be the richest guy in town."

"I'd like to see that."

"No... no don't give him that challenge." Atem pleaded and Seto grinned, he was happy to know that even the pharaoh feared his skills. "He is one of the richest men in our world and made a hundred thousand dollars in one investment of ten grand."

"I'll keep my money in my pocket then." Link chuckled awkwardly moving a pouch out of view before turning to the soldiers. "This better be the first and last accident of this nature."

"Yes sir!"

"Good, rest up, the day might have been quiet but that doesn't mean the night will be. Also, gather the men in the morning in the training square, there are a few things I must discuss."

"Uh, y-yes sir…"

The soldiers seemed hesitate about the green clad hero's tone which Seto was impressed about how stern it was. After a moment, Zelda nodded dismissing them and they left without another word. The queen sighed and turned to Seto. "I apologize about my knights' behavior, if it was an accident like they say it was then I believe them. Lies and deceit would have destroyed this kingdom long ago if it was present within them."

"Let's just head to the bar." Seto stated, he just wanted to make sure his sister was fine.

The queen nodded. He wasn't in the mood to have a debate about soldiers and male minds. Zelda and Link led the way through the streets and he took note of everything and everyone he passed. People were staring and chatting among themselves, mostly about himself and Atem as they went by, but he mostly ignored the comments he heard. He was used to the attention both the good and the bad.

"There are quite a few people in here…" Atem started looking around.

"You think? If the country is under attack, where the hell do you think people will go?"

"I'm aware of where they would go, but where are all these people staying? You heard about their food supply, can they even afford us taking refuge here until we can go home?"

"It's not my problem about what happens to these people." Seto replied. He half regretted it as he made eye contact with a small group of children playing and stopped. They stopped playing and stared up at him expectedly. He didn't stick around as Atem noticed his absence and he continued his walk. "If the need comes, we can find shelter elsewhere. I'm sure there are other villages that can harbor us."

"Maybe even help get food supply to the capital." Atem suggested and Seto rolled his eyes.

"Don't push it."

"We both have dragons…"

"And we might need to save our abilities to get home." Seto muttered lowly. "I rather not summon my dragons for something like that if it means getting home faster."

"You say that now… but what if we can't go home?"

"Then in making these demons my personal bitches until one of them gets me home."

"Let me know how that works out for you."

Seto didn't reply as they ended up in an alley way. The alleyway had a set of stairs at the end of it to an open courtyard. Seto walked down them after the queen and hero and guessed they were at the location of the bar with ninety proof alcoholic milk. He barely reached the bottom as he heard a door slam open. He looked up just in time to react to the leaping girl that had sprinted towards him at full speed. He almost fell over at her force and silent thanked his reflexes as she squeezed him tightly around the middle. He gave a hug in return as he looked down at her relieved.

"You're okay!" Regan exclaimed and he was positive he was the one supposed to be asking that question.

"Of course I am," He told her a little softer than what he had intended. He was worried sick for her, but he was also trying to keep up appearances in front of Zelda and the Celtic Guardian wannabe. She removed her face from his chest and he saw tears in her eyes. She was scared for his well-being; he could feel it in their link. He wished he hadn't worried her so much, if he had found her sooner, or better yet not get them stuck in their situation in the first place. Then, she wouldn't have had to worry about him like he worried for her. It was his job to keep her safe, not the other way around. "Why ever did you think I wasn't?"

"Oh I don't know, monsters, a bunch of powerful magic demon dudes running around," She started off softly listing them off before looking up furiously at him. "Or how about the fact that we traveled to a goddamn different dimension using shadow magic and I thought you were killed because you never use it!"

"Takes a little more than that to kill me." He replied half-heartedly.

"Like what? A moon falling on your face?"

"Like a moon falling on my face, but even then."

"You are impossible! What the hell took you so long to get here?!"

"Regan… it's a rather large field and I was stuck following behind horses."

"And he was napping next to a lake for most of the time we were here." Atem said. "The question is, are you alright?"

"What do you mean?" She asked still not letting go of Seto's torso.

"You were shot by Melissa, remember."

"Oh! Right!"

"Because you can just forget being shot…" Seto muttered.

"At this rate I might as well be 50 Cent." She rolled her eyes at him. "I'm fine, just a flesh wound… speaking of the witch, where is she so I can burn her?"

"That seems excessive…" Seto told her slightly concerned for her wellbeing. Something wasn't sitting right, she wasn't one for promoting for the death sentence, violence sure, but not death. "She's unconscious in the dungeon… what's wrong?"

She looked down and he waited for her to answer. Realizing that she wasn't going to, Seto lifted her chin and her tears left. His stomach dropped. "Yugi and Ryou aren't with you meaning they are still out there, or dead… and… and…"

"And what?"

She turned to Atem, "I… I haven't been able to contact Nile since I arrived… I'm sorry. She's not in the puzzle!"

Regan broke down and Seto stroked her hair like what his mother used to do for him when he was upset, it was one of the only things he knew to comforting someone. He hated seeing her like this. "It's alright, I'm sure it's just the journey…"

"I would still be able to sense her! I'm sorry, Atem, I should have… I should have done something so we weren't here!"

"Regan…" Atem started and Seto heard him swallow. "None of this is your fault and I'm sure she's fine. I know it and so are Yugi and Bakura."

Was that for her sake or his? Seto didn't say it out loud as Regan nodded and let him go. She calmed down, but he could still feel her distress like a blow to the head. "I hope so too…"

"We should probably head inside; the temperature is starting to drop." Link stated suddenly reminding Seto that the hero and queen were standing there. If either of them brought up his 'soft side', he was going to lose it. He attention was dragged to Regan as she snapped her head over to the two Hylians. Was she really that in tuned to finding them that she missed out on them being there?

"Is that…" She started and he watched her face lit up like she was seeing her lifelong idols. "Oh my…"

"Yes, that is Link and Zelda… Regan…"

She cleared her throat and calmed down and Seto was pleased that she had retained her lessons on dealing with famous people that she really liked. Even in such a stressed out state. His first lesson with her was when she met Nathan Fillion. It was in the first three seconds that both of them realized she needed help. She had come a long way since then. "My apologies for not noticing you earlier, it's been a long day. My name is Regan and I'm Seto's sister. I also apologize for my brother's exploding ego and rudeness. I appreciate you bringing him here with Atem, your highness, Link."

"You don't need to apologize; you were worried for your brother." Link started and he turned a bit red in the cheeks. She nodded slightly and Seto smirked ever so slightly before it left, as amusing as everything was, they needed to get the hell out of there.

"You can call me Zelda, Regan. As for your brother, he was not as bad as you would like to believe."

"Yes he was, she's just being nice." Atem muttered and Seto turned away from Regan to glare at the pharaoh. "You don't scare me; no one here is scared of you."

He was about to remark how stupid people don't have fear, but his sister was quicker knowing exactly what he was about to say.

"Seto..."

"Whatever," He turned away from her and to the other two standing in the alleyway. "I appreciate the help finding her."

"I'm just glad that at least part of your group is reunited." Zelda stated before holding an arm out towards the door Regan had come from. "Inside perhaps? There is much to discuss."

"Of course." Atem stated and Link led the way.

"So how many of your comrades are missing?" the green hero asked to no one in particular. "I heard Yugi, Bakura, and now Ryou and Nile…?"

"Ryou Bakura is his full name." Regan answered. "Just some of us, Nile and I, prefer to call him Ryou while everyone else calls him Bakura, when you meet him you can decide on what you want to call him. As for Nile…" she didn't finish.

"She's a spirit in Regan's item, she isn't someone that needs to be found." Seto answered as he fell in behind Link.

Link nodded in understanding which seemed weird, but he let it go as the hero opened the door. Seto barely got through the entrance as a dagger came at him. He shut the door and not even a second went by as a thud of the blade hit it. Regan ran into him in his abrupt stop pretty hard. He looked back at her to make sure she was okay, which she was, before opening the door to see Link against the wall. Seto pulled the dagger out of the door. "Who the hell threw that?"

"Wasn't for you, but I kinda wish it was." A voice came from across the room and he located a man sitting backwards in a chair playing with a second dagger. The black clothed man with grey hair moved his red eyes to the green clothed man that looked a lot like him. "Why don't you ever just drop dead, you bastard?"

"How about you learn how to aim?" Link growled. "You could have killed someone!"

"That was the point… unfortunately, you brought company." The man in black whined. "Company that seems to be in a great mood I might add."

"Like you're one to talk."

"I can demonstrate how to throw one if you'd like." Seto threatened interrupting the petty squall. "I can also confidently say that it won't hit anyone but you."

The man grinned showing off rather distinct canines that reminded him a bit of a vampire or a wolf. "Let's see whose hits first."

"Throw a dagger in my bar again and you both will be cleaning my floor with your tongues." A woman called as she came from a back room with a crate. The bulky woman that looked a hell of a lot tougher than half the guard set the crate on the counter. She turned to Seto. "Oh hello, you must be Regan's brother. I guessed from her looks that you'd look fantastic, but I didn't think it would be divine. I'll give you permission this one time to throw a dagger in Dark's head."

"Come on, Telma. You can't just give special treatments to good looking guys half your age." The man sighed. "That would be hypocritical considering how great I look. I'm basically your best looking customer if not the best."

"You're one of the most pain in the ass ones, that's for certain. And I'm thirty, you twit. I hear about any sort of death threats within my bar against any of my guests from you again; I'm sure I'll find something else that you broke that you can replace."

"Yes ma'am." Dark replied whiter than the sheet he already was. "Won't happen again."

"Better not. The next time I won't be so kind and your next purchase besides your time with your tongue to my floor will be the wine cabinet you made into kindling. That was two thousand rupees to replace."

"Seto, Atem." Regan said grabbing the short silence and Seto dragged his eyes away from the red eyed male. "Meet Dark Link aka Dark, he looks like Link, but isn't."

"I didn't notice." He replied sarcastically. "We were given details on him and a few other fellows on the way here."

The girl nodded before looking around the room. "Electra?"

"I'm here, I was looking at a map." a female voice called from a room blocked off by a blanket. The girl came out from behind the blocked off room, opening it up to the rest of the bar and he was caught off-guard by the golden-yellow eye color that looked him over that matched her golden-yellow hair. It reminded him of an anime he had seen Regan and Mokuba watching that had a spastic character with the same colored eyes and hair. "This is your brother?"

"Ya!" Regan replied happily and turned to him. "This is Electra; she was my neighbor's cousin. We hanged out a lot when she wasn't out on police duty."

"You're a cop?" He asked in slight disbelief. He could tell from her build that she was used to having a lot of armor on, but she seemed a little young.

"Yea, I was in a special unit to deal with special members of society… like him." The blonde said as she placed a hand on Dark Link's shoulder. "But now I'm here still helping people from monsters."

"Dark and Electra helped me get out of a horde of monsters in Faron Woods while I was injured." Regan explained. "On the way here I tried locating you, but with the dense magic of Hyrule and baddies, my senses were very limited."

"Turns out she isn't that big of a big shot." Dark Link muttered.

"Still tossed you around." His sister hissed. Seto blinked at her flip-of-a-switch emotions. He wasn't expecting it, but he bit his tongue. He would talk to her about everything later. "And I was shot and bleeding all over the place."

"I was going easy on you since you're a girl and injured."

"Sure you were, your bloodlust blinded you from seeing that she was innocent." Electra said to the male in black in annoyance before turning to Seto. "I was a little worried that Regan had lost her mind when she said she had a brother let alone two, but I'm glad that she isn't nuts and that you're alive…"

"You've obviously been living under a rock if you haven't heard the news."

"Well between work and being pulled into this world at the end of February, ya, you can say I wasn't in the know of Earth news."

"Seto go easy." Regan suggested to him. "She doesn't need you to be hounding on her over this."

"Fine…" he agreed only because she didn't need to stress over him. Also, the blonde girl in front of him seemed off, almost like a broken tool. He brushed off the thought, he was tired.

"Thank you…"

"Interesting," Electra sang ever so slightly. "You have the president of Kaiba Corporation around your finger, that's impressive."

"Electra!" His sister exclaimed. "Alright, I get it. Everyone is in a bad mood because today has just been horrible for all of us, but let's just set that all aside and figure out what to do with everything. And I don't have my brother wrapped around my finger, if I did, I would have taken a trip to the moon by now."

"When have you ever wanted to go to the moon?" Seto asked her. This was the first time he was hearing of it.

"Around the same time I wanted a T-Rex to ride on and reenact Jurassic Park: Lost World." She sighed. "I'm going to sit down before I fall down."

Seto looked over her again and noticed how pale she was. Panic filled him. "Regan-"

"I'm not injured, just there is a lot of ancient auras in here, it's going to take time to get used to."

He sighed, at least she was physically alright.

"I'm not ancient…" Link muttered.

"That's not what she meant." Atem reassured him with a smile, but Seto caught the forcefulness to it. He was worried about the others. Seto looked back at Regan as she sat down next to a pile of maps listening intently on what a nerd was saying that no one introduced. His thoughts turned to the spirit that was missing. Hopefully Nile was still in the item, if she wasn't… he didn't know what the consequences would be for the both of them. Regan already seemed edgy enough without the spirit. He left the thought for another as he realized what was off about everything. Regan hadn't demanding to search for Yugi or Bakura right away. Was she fine or was she was being considerate? Whatever her reasons were, he was happy that he could rest. Not that he showed it, but he was also feeling a bit lightheaded.

"I'm going to sit for a while," Atem said breaking the silence. "Then I'm heading out to find Yugi and Bakura."

"It's dangerous to go alone." Dark Link said stretching. "Especially at night."

"I'll be fine, it's not the first time I've gone alone against a bunch of monsters in the dark."

"Not that I care if you take this the wrong way, but you're a bit of a pipsqueak in flashy clothing. No weapon and from what I can tell no horse. You'll be dead once you step outside these walls."

"Also been told that before."

"Yes and died for it." Regan challenged from her spot. "Let's not make it a second time, eh?"

"Are you not feeling the least bit of concern about them being out in that?" Atem questioned and Seto wanted to smack him upside the head.

"Of course I am!" She snapped. "But I also know the world better than you do and from I've learned its more than just one world, its many with many different types of enemies with many different ways string you along the walls. I'm trying to be smart about this. I wasn't affected by the journey meaning my magic was not used as much if at all. What does that say for you?"

"She has a point." Seto stated starting to calculate the expense of the journey. "You look like you were already run over once and statistics say that out all of us, being seven, eight if you included Nile, travelled here and two of them not being affected, that means the six of us got the divided amount. Do you know what a hundred divided by six is, Pharaoh?"

"Less than twenty…"

"Sixteen point six percent."

"Your brother is a walking calculator…" Seto heard Electra mutter but continued without acknowledging the statement.

"We don't know how much taxation of the trip actually took, but I'm going to place seventy percent of our output plus the extra sixteen point six, plus the compensation that you took because of your experience. Yugi doesn't have the connection to the magic as well and for Nile, if her soul is still alive, because I seriously doubt she gave much to the total. That is looking at about a hundred percent for you."

"But-"

"You can't help anyone if you're dead." He told the dumbass crossing his arms. "But hey, if you want to go, be my guest. Just don't look back when you realize you can't even summon your stupid fur ball to defend you."

"Nrg…"

"I was going to go out later once I deducted possible locations. If that means anything…" Regan said quietly from her spot looking back at the map. "I know the area like the back of my hand."

"Like hell you are." Seto objected. He finally reunited with her after the incident. He wasn't going to let her go again.

"I agree with your brother," Zelda said softly. "It's dangerous at night and very difficult to find anything out there with no moon."

"I don't need to see to find them and I'll be finding enemies before they even spot me. I may not have the largest range, but I have range nonetheless."

"Regan, I'm not allowing you to go out there." He growled grabbing her attention. "You were shot a few hours ago."

"And that's the magic of a spirit spring, it fixes you up like you weren't even injured."

"Doesn't give you back the blood supply at full." Link explained. "If you were in fact shot, you would have lost a lot of blood."

"And you were battling Dark afterwards." Electra added. "You need to rest."

"I have been resting." His sister argued.

"For an hour." Dark Link said cleaning his nails with his dagger. "Alright, I'll go with you."

"No." Seto stated at the same time Electra, Link and Atem did. Zelda didn't say anything, but the answer was on her face. Were all their answers for the same reason? Probably.

"What? She wants to go find her little boyfriend and her other friend." The shadow objected. "I won't hurt her, believe it or not, I've found this human feeling to keep the shrimp safe."

"The answer is still no." Seto declared, the little fondness better not turn into something more than that. He had one demon already to deal with, he didn't need some emo shadow thing on top of it.

"Why not?" Regan objected looking away from the maps.

Seto was surprised at her reaction. She hardly ever accepted help especially if it was dangerous. Something bugged him at the thought of her wanting the emo kid's help, maybe a spell. Or, knowing Regan, she actually cared about the shadow in front of him and saw something none of them could. Either way, as long as he was alive, she was not going to go with Dark alone. "How about because he's a psychopath?"

"Maybe disturbed… not quite whole… but I wouldn't say a psychopath."

"I think you hurt yourself on the way here and definitely need to rest."

"I agree," Dark Link told her. "I'm pretty sure I'm classified as a psychopath. I did try to kill you a few hours ago."

"Then you didn't and then you threatened to kill me because I was being a bit mouthy and after spending a couple of hours with me you have developed a bit of fondness towards me. I wouldn't say you were a psychopath, just a bit insane." She argued. "Like Deadpool."

"Deadpool? Really?" Seto questioned and she looked back at him. "This guy is nothing like Deadpool."

"I'm going whether or not you approve, and Dark can come if he wants to. I personally would like a bloodlust being with me if things get messy. Not that I can't take care of myself, but the option is nice. There is no way you can stop me."

"Keep telling yourself that."

"I have a cellar you can stick her in." Telma offered. "I've used it before."

"Who did you lock down there?" Link asked and Telma just turned to look at Dark Link. "Why am I not surprised?"

"It was a test, in case more unwanted things came along, no need to have them all plan an escape. Least of all being down there with Vaati." Dark Link told him.

"What about your other two friends?" Atem asked.

"They aren't being captured, we have a weapon for one while Dean… well we hope to kill him on sight."

"So Vaati can't be killed?" Seto asked, this kind of information would have been nice before.

"You need a special sword to kill him with." Regan told him circling something on a map. "The Four Sword, a Minish made sword, that was a thing long before the Hero of Time and then found again sometime after the events of the Twili Invasion with a sealed Vaati inside from the Minish days."

"Who are the Minish?"

"A little group of people that are literally little and only children can see them."

"Children as like little little or under the age of eighteen?"

"That would be a Zelda question."

He turned to the queen who looked in thought before answering after a moment. "Sometime after the age of seventeen is when the children who saw the Minish could no longer see them, or at least that's how the legend went."

"And since this kingdom seems like a good kingdom, you don't have children looking for them." Atem questioned and she nodded.

"I would not risk the lives of my people, especially children to look for the people who might know of the blade that has been lost for centuries. Even if they volunteered because they were orphaned, I would not allow them to do such a thing."

"So how were you going to solve Vaati?" Seto ventured.

"Beat him senseless with the Master Sword and hopefully it has some affect over time." Link said and he turned to him. "It was Electra's idea; the sword is evil's bane after all."

"You can't just substitute salt with baking soda because they are both a white substance…"

"Well it doesn't matter." Regan stated. "Because I have a solution to your problem."

"You do?" They all asked and she nodded.

"Since you won't allow children from your kingdom to do a children's job, you now have two of them able to find the Minish and the sword's location who aren't apart of your kingdom."

"Who exactly?" Seto asked even though he had a funny feeling who. He wished they never came here in the first place as he had a feeling their problem just suddenly became his.

"Ryou and I. We are both sixteen and our birthdays are still long off. If he is still alive, we can find the sword while we are here."

"No," Zelda disagreed. "No, you have no need to go through that risk for this world."

"Well actually, from what I heard, this is affecting my world as well, which is probably why we even got here in once piece and minor problems. So yes, it is in my right to help and Ryou would say the same. You need that sword to defeat Vaati before he sweeps you up." Regan replied. Seto looked from her to Zelda; what was his sister going on about? He turned back to the other brunette in the room. "Yea, I figured out that little bit on my own. You are one of the most beautiful Hylians in Hyrule, if not the most, meaning you are his number one target."

Seto saw Link stiffen, it was apparently a touchy subject.

"He isn't going to stay away forever, sooner or later, he is going to attack. When he does, I think you would like to have a fire extinguisher to deal with your fire instead of gasoline."

"I don't like this idea any more than you do, Zelda." Electra said. "But if I know anything about Vaati, fire and fire extinguishers, we do not want gasoline on this. I know personally that a fire extinguisher can do a little more than put out fires. Vaati will continue to get stronger to the point where it won't matter if we catch him."

"How do you know that fire extinguishers can do more than put out fires?" Atem asked. Seto was also curious on what she meant about killing someone with the red cylinder.

"She's used one to kill something before." Link explained.

"You mean the incident in the mall with the fire breathing chimera." Seto questioned remembering the incident that flashed across his work screen a couple of months ago. The creature had the cylinder shoved down its throat, but he didn't really read on it. Link nodded.

"All the more reason you guys need Ryou and I to find the Four Sword. We can remove the fire starter before he creates the forest fire."

"The answer is still no," Seto growled. "Please do not make me think about the cellar idea."

"Sounds kinky." A girl suddenly said from behind him. He turned around and saw a girl with white hair in a very revealing clothing and a male medium height with black hair in more modern clothing coming through the door. He moved away from the door slightly as the girl turned to him. "How many times a day do you work out?"

"He's not for grabs." Electra stated and the girl pouted. "Besides, I thought you and Jason had a thing?"

"It was a question… and who said anything about being a thing?"

"Hey…" The male said sounding hurt. "That's my feelings."

"Seriously, what's up with the cellar and are we doing some decorating in it?"

"No, now get out of the doorway and close the door." Telma ordered.

"Geez, you woke up on the- oh, I can now see why. Hi Dark Link." The white haired girl turned away from her deadpan look at the shadow to Zelda and suddenly got excited. "Zeeeeelllllllldddddaaaaa… you do the thing yet?"

"Is this really the time?" Dark Link growled and she shrugged.

"Why is everyone here? Again?" the black hair man asked confused. The man looked exhausted.

"A little bit of a speed bump." Electra stated nodded towards Seto and Atem.

The man looked at Regan first before turning to the two of them and almost fell over as he backed away. Seto raised an eyebrow. He wasn't expecting anyone else to recognize him. "What the hell is the CEO of Kaiba Corp, Regan Heartin and Atem Muto doing in Telma's Bar of all places… God above this sounds like a bloody fanfiction."

"You insulting my place?" Telma questioned.

"No, no, not at all just… someone needs to fill me in."

"Jason, do you have a sister named Melissa?" Electra asked him and his pale skin went paler than a sheet, matching Dark Link's tone from earlier to the perfect pigment. Seto found it impressive considering he was almost already that color. Though his impressment went out the window when he caught up on why he went that color.

"What did she do...?"

"Your sister thought it would be a good idea to attack my sister to get to your sorry ass." Seto growled threateningly, if he had the energy, he would have grabbed him by the collar and threw him outside then beat him to an inch of his life. "You have some explaining to do, Templar."

"Look, I don't like dealing with blood and stuff so please don't hurt me for my sister's instability." Jason started and Seto glared. He wished his glare could do damage. "I was investigating a bunker and was sent here by Dean who at the time was a fat computer geek testing out his equipment. It was a mission and I guess my sister didn't take my disappearance well. She always did go off the deep end when I went on long missions. We only have each other so it makes sense…"

"That's no excuse for her actions to infiltrate my school and shoot Regan?!"

"Well if you were in her shoes, would you not have done the same thing?"

"No, I would have built a machine instead of getting the CEO of Kaiba Corp involved and threatening not only the lives of his students, but also his family because that is just a really stupid idea."

"Like I said she always seems to go off the deep end if something happened to me."

"No shit Sherlock, now we're stuck here with no way back because of your careless actions and that of your organization's!" He was now on a rant. "The least she could have done was ask and maybe, just maybe; I would have helped in creating a door instead of a one-way trip to a prehistoric Narnia!"

"You're just pissed because your world is boring and lame while ours is cool and action packed." Dark Link said and Seto threw the dagger he still had barely needing to look at where he was throwing it and he heard it embedded itself into the chair the shadow sat in. The emo elf looked at it slightly surprised. "Alright, I'll stay out of it, but it's true."

He was glad the male took the first warning; he was out of knives to silence him for good.

"Maybe it was a good idea that she hadn't." Jason stated calmly and Seto turned back to him. "Not that I'm saying that this was a brilliant idea, because it's far from it. But her asking and you agreeing might have made the predicament between the two worlds worse causing them to merge faster."

"Seto, he has a point as much as I want to blame him." Atem stated. "But after hearing his side, I don't believe Jason is the one at fault for any of Melissa's actions."

Seto thought about it before dropping his aggression towards the man. "Fine, but Melissa won't get off so easy."

"I'll deal with her myself when I get the chance, where is she?" the man replied in a very pissed off manner, but he doubted it was towards him.

"In the dungeons."

"She won't get out of there that's for sure." Jason sighed. "What do you plan on doing with her?"

Seto was surprised that the Irish Templar even considered what he had planned, how thoughtful. "I haven't thought of anything yet as I was too busy worrying about Regan."

"Speaking of… she's the little brunette girl right?" The white hair girl questioned and he nodded. "Well, she climbed up the beam onto the ropes above and went out the window while you guys were all busy."

Seto turned away from her towards the chair Regan had been as Electra looked around.

"How the hell…?" the blonde asked as she looked up at the ropes before grabbing her belt off the chair and attached it to her. "Seriously? She was right here!"

"I don't see what the problem is." The girl continued.

"Delilah, Jason, we have to find her. She went out to look for the others that were with her and she doesn't take this night world cautiously."

"Makes sense since she's a Kaiba…" Jason muttered, Seto glared.

"She's lost a lot of blood earlier from the gunshot wound and if I know her as well as I do, she will not back down from a challenge."

"You know her too well…" Atem stated and Seto walked out the door. "Seto, you can't go out there!"

"I'm not losing her again!" Seto spat walking back in. "Her sense of loyalty is going to kill her."

"And you are going to get killed out there with only a gun with limited ammo." Link said and Seto scoffed.

"I'm never without a weapon."

"He doesn't mean your monsters." Jason stated.

"I wasn't talking about my monsters." He replied and held back his coat to reveal his aura sword. "Now shut up and help me find her or stay here and do nothing, I really don't care."

"Regan would not be pleased to hear if we left you for dead." Electra sighed walking through the door. "Come on, there are only a few places to look and if we spread out; we should be able to find her. According to her map, she has four destinations in mind."

Everyone, but the nerd without a name and Telma, piled outside which surprised Seto as Link shut the door. He might as well use the resources at his disposal. "We should split into groups if there are four destinations in mind, if she left recently, she wouldn't have got too far. Where was she planning on going?"

"I didn't look at her map, but from deduction," Zelda started. "We came from the Lake Hylia while Electra and Dark Link came from Kakariko Village to the Faron Province, that leaves the north part of Hyrule Field, Death Mountain, Zora's Domain, and the Gerudo Desert. Am I right?"

Electra nodded and Dark Link grunted. "Those are four very different locations, one of them is close to here, but there is no way to be sure on where she would go first."

"Wow, genius," Link mocked. "Why do you think we are splitting up?"

"I know why, but did you ever think about how? Two of us are pathetic in feeling any magical disturbances, that leaves four us. These two earthlings know nothing about where anything is and we have no idea if they can feel a disturbance and are on the border of falling over. I'm going to be stuck with Electra as usual and last I checked, you've been glued to her highness for the past three months."

"Well we certainly not leaving you by yourself." The green hero growled before looking at Zelda. "But it's true. If you are coming, it would be best if you were with me. But it would be safer for you to stay in Castle Town."

Zelda shook her head. "I'm not being stuck in my room again. This is something I can help with and if Regan is insisting on helping find the four sword-"

"Which I can guarantee she won't be placed into anything dangerous." Seto cut her off and she seemed to take note of it and continued.

"I must insist on helping these people. I can fight just as well as you if monsters come. It would be faster with me if we need to split up in the search."

Link seemed to hesitate before sighing. "If that's what you wish…"

"So, only two groups will have magical senses if a disturbance does occur." Atem contemplated. "Seto and I might be able to sense a surge. One of us should go with Delilah and Jason…"

"You're best fit, you deal with the magic on a daily basis, I'm just a businessman." Seto stated. "I'll go with Zelda so I don't accidently kill Dark here."

Dark Link was actually starting to piss him off and it was worse than Joey ever could and he wasn't sure why, let alone possible. Probably because he seemed like an idiot, though it was probably because he tried to kill his sister. It was a good thing Seto had given her lessons on self-defense and sword lessons.

"I doubt it would be an accident…" Atem muttered under his breath.

"I fully support accidental death." Link stated.

"Good, so he can kill you instead." Dark Link sneered. "The faster I get away from you the better, Electra and I will head to Death Mountain, the Gorons owe us a debt so let's get it repaid, if something comes up, let us know, will ya?"

"I'll let Electra know."

"You two are children." Electra sighed. "Where are you heading Delilah?"

"We'll head over to the desert." The white hair girl replied and turned to Link. "The Zora's Domain is right after the north part of the field. You should head there, it's been less dangerous lately so, Link, keep Zelda safe and make your search quick then come back. Just because that part of the country has been quiet doesn't mean it will be for long."

The hero nodded.

"And we'll take good care of you my spikey little friend." The girl continued. "You know all about Templars but you know nothing about me, and trust me, I'm a goddess in a fight."

"I'm sure you are…?" Atem said unsurely before turning to Seto. "You should be able to sense Regan if something happens to her, especially here. She has her Aura Swords so you should be able to detect her if she's nearby and using them."

"I figured that out on my own." Seto told him. Little did the pharaoh know that he was already trying to sense her aura use. Not that that was working, he couldn't sense her at all. "And before you say anything, I'll be fine. You should be worrying about yourself."

"You shouldn't underestimate these villains if you meet up with any of them."

"I never do and they always fall."

"Is he always this cocky?" Link asked and both Atem and Jason nodded. Seto rolled his eyes.

"We are wasting time, Regan probably stole a horse with ease by now and is long gone." Seto growled and started for the stairs when smoke entered his nose. Screams came not long afterwards and he turned back to the group behind him. "What's happening?"

"An attack…" Zelda stated after a moment. "We might not be able to go after your sister and I fear the worse for her."

"Then let's go!" Why the hell were they standing around?

"Dark and I are going to stay behind to deal with this," Electra said turning to Zelda. "Don't worry about the town, we won't let it fall and we'll head for Death Mountain once the attack is over."

"Thank you…" the queen replied and seemed to relax. Seto was done waiting for them and he started up the stairs into the main alleyway.

"Be careful." Link called from behind and Seto stopped his approach into the main road as people ran passed him in a cluster. He looked in the direction they were running from and saw some walking corpses of animals and humans or what seemed to be humans. Some of them had wrappings on them with large weapons while others did not.

"Well, this is looking like Déjà vu, doesn't it?" Dark Link said suddenly beside him. Seto looked down at him and his eyes seem to glow slightly as he drew his sword and a grin formed showing his teeth. He walked a little in front like he was the star of the show. "Who's ready to die again?"

Seto walked passed the fool as he drew his blade and batted a bone dog aside as it came for an attack. He sent out an aura stream through the walking corpses, cutting them in half clearing the way. He kept walking putting his sword away as he heard Dark Link curse at the fact that they were brought down so easily. He didn't bother turning back as he walked over the gruesome creatures as a few of their chopped up parts started to twitch and form back together. "Let's go before these things get back up."

"R-right…" Link stuttered a little way back, but Seto wasn't sure from where.

Seto heard feet running behind him as he walked to the gates and some soldiers were posted still standing their ground. He recognized them from the day crew he almost murdered from before. Music entered his ears as he reached the soldiers. "Hey!"

"Milord!"

"Ya, your lord… whatever, do you have any horses stationed here like they do at the other gate?"

"We have Lady Delilah's and Sir Jason's horses here and a few others… why?"

"I need one."

"You want to take a horse that doesn't belong to you?"

"I need to go rescue my reckless sister, so you can give me one or you can get in my way and find yourselves looking like those corpses on the ground I sliced ten seconds ago."

"Uh, yes, Milord!" The soldier squeaked and the other one disappeared into the wall.

Where they kept the horses within the tower, he didn't know. It could have been like an underground parking lot, only for horses…but that was a bit strange, even for him. The soldier came back with a large horse that looked like Canadian horse that was jet black. He approved. Epona appeared in front of him next to the horse the soldier was holding, looked down at the horse before proceeding to try and eat Seto's hair. "Hey, this isn't the time for that!"

Epona pulled her head back only to slowly move her head closer as he glared up at the horse. She bopped his head and then huffed at the other horse. The black horse snorted before bopping him in the head. What the hell was wrong with the horses in the world he was in?

"Who does this horse belong to?" Link asked as he came up beside him.

"She doesn't belong to anyone, Sir Link. Midnight's master died this morning from a heart attack."

"She belonged to the late General?"

"Yes sir, one of four young mares."

"That's convenient." Seto commented, there were five of them if Yugi and Bakura were alive. Atem and Yugi could share if Regan hadn't managed to steal a horse or he couldn't convince her to ride with him. That was a lot of ifs. "Atem is going to need one if one of you could fetch one for him."

The soldiers turned to Link and the hero nodded. The soldier nodded at Seto and disappeared again.

Seto turned around to find Atem behind him. "Summon a monster if you find Regan, I'll send word to you if I find her."

"What about the others?" Atem questioned.

"I'm sure Regan will find them before we find her…"

"I think I heard a bit of hope in your voice."

"Just hurry with your search." He told him, there was no hope for those two from him. He only hoped for his sister's sake. The soldier came up with a very large, white and grey horse. The guard said that the horse's name was Cloud, which made sense, her grey spots looked like clouds. "Do you need a step stool?"

"Piss off," Atem said as two more horses came with a new soldier. "I've rode a horse many times before."

"Of course you have, cowboy."

"Lady Delilah and Sir Jason's horses." The soldier stated interrupting Atem.

"Thanks for bring them." Jason told the soldier. "Now you three close these gates and get rid of the redeads before they rise again. We need to defend the city."

"What about you, Sir?"

"The rest of us will be back, hopefully with a miracle."

Seto clenched his jaw. Even though Jason was a Templar and for a moment, he did want him to pay for Melissa's actions, but the black haired man seemed like he was depending on them to help turn the mess Hyrule was in around. He sighed, there wasn't any chance of him going home anytime soon anyway, might as well make their stay less horrible. He got on the black horse and Zelda and Link jumped on Epona. They were off leaving Delilah, Jason, and Atem behind into the darkness that several monsters were waiting in. He went to summon a monster but decided to keep in mind of his calculations he gave to the pharaoh. He needed to keep a tight leash on his abilities, including his very limited aura ones. And once Midnight and he found Regan, he was going to ground her for life and give her a million grade school math questions just for the sake of highlighting the idiocy in her decision to run off. He looked back at the flames that peeked from the fading walls of the castle. Would the town still be there when they return or will it be consumed by the flames before the very castle itself? He didn't bother to answer the question as he looked ahead again and saw something in the distance.

"Over there!" He called to Link and he raced faster towards it. He narrowed his eyes as the horses raced towards it and an aura shield glowed in the dark.

"What is that?" Zelda asked.

"An aura shield…" Seto replied as something pelted against it. A shock wave flew through his body and he felt sick to his stomach. Regan was in there; he could sense her again. "Faster, Midnight."

The horse raced and the image came clear to him as a flying serpent started to coil it. Before the serpent coiled it completely he thought he saw something inside. It couldn't be. A flash of light blasted the serpent creature off the shield sending it flying over their heads as the shield died down leaving a glowing trace around two figures as they dropped to the ground. Seto came up to the spot where the two figures had drop and he stared down at them before taking note that there were others there. He turned to them and saw the two comrades he had been looking for, Yugi and Bakura. "How… how did this happen?"

"Kaiba…" Yugi started but he wasn't having any of it. Regan's life was in more danger than before. What cruel joke did the universe have in mind if this was the final punchline?

"How the hell did Nile separate from Regan's puzzle?!"
