Chapter 48
Andrew and Rona worked quickly and without speaking. Rona had taken some classes but she was learning a lot more here at Andrew's elbow.
"Have you finished the rest of the prep work?" He asked?
"Yeah, most of its ready whenever you are but I think I need help cutting the gobal nut into a Merkaba star shape." She replied.
"Yeah, that is tricky, but I'm glad you asked for help before you made a bad cut. There isn't too much of the stuff left that we can afford mistakes." He explained.
As Andrew cut the Nut the way it should look, Rona became impressed.
"How do you do that with such ease?" She asked.
"Well, it sounds silly but I figured it out by applying what the great marble cutters tell everyone. The shape is in there, all you have to do is cut away anything that doesn't look like a Merkaba."
"Are you serious?" She asked in disbelief.
"Unfortunately yes, which means there's no easy way I personally can teach you how to cut it." He explained.
"Alright well, then I guess everything's ready." She announced.
"Good, hand me the chopped boomslang intestines."
Rona did and Andrew put it into the boiling caldron and reread the next step.
"How did you get this idea again?" Rona asked.
"It was when you said I have my own loony mage magic."
"Yeah, but you're attempting wizard magic. Their potions deal with stuff I haven't even heard of before."
"Nevertheless, what you said led me to remember Luna's request to take her potions kit and caldron with us to stay wherever we end up. She even gave me permission to use it if we find ourselves in a bind." He said throwing in some sweet grass.
"Damn, that girl did it again. You do know she does that a lot don't you? She says she's not a seer but she keeps saying things or giving us stuff that gets us out of dire situations at the last minute." Rona explained.
"Yes, I am aware. I've even been keeping score of how many times it's happened that I've been informed of and so far that total is up to twelve. The force is strong with her." He said dropping in some essences of dragon ear.
"I don't remember precognition being a trait of the force, Andrew." Rona said.
"Well, it should be, don't you think?"
"Knowing everything that happens beforehand? That could be boring or drive you bonkers."
"That is why I believe Luna never remembers warning us without warning us. She tells us something that doesn't make sense or she tells us to hold on to something for her but she never tells us where the danger is coming from or that there is danger coming at all. For all we know she doesn't know about it herself." He replied adding in powdered daffodil root followed by flea heads.
"So, do you think that's why Luna is the way she is?" Rona asked.
"I don't know but it is as good a reason as any. She's harmless in that way. Not that I believe she couldn't bewitch us into paste. I've herd things that would curl your hair. But I'm glad she's on our side and added this potions book."
"Yeah, a book that just so happened to have that vicious serum in it."
"It's actually called veritaserum."
"Yeah, but it will make these morons tell the truth wont it?" She wondered.
"Yes, it's a very powerful truth serum. According to this book they won't stand a chance and will have to spill everything. There are so many things that I'm glad I didn't know when I was living on the dark side with Warren and finding out about the wizards is one of them. I could have gotten in so much trouble and the worst part is that I think Willow would still have won, which would have been even less good for me." Andrew said with a shiver.
"Yeah, I'm sure that would have been scary." Rona replied.
/Scene Break/
Queen Mousette finally began to stir from her drug induced sleep to a foul smell. Earlier Faith had found a horrible smelling piece of cloth that she didn't want to even begin to think about what was on it but put it to use as a type of smelling salts to hopefully wake there resident witch.
"Oh goddess what's that horrible smell" she said as she forced herself to open her eyes from her deep slumber.
"She's awake." Sara said from her position at the crack under the door.
"Yeah, I can see that." Faith said as she tapped Jenny's leg to jump down from her shoulders.
"Where are we?" Queen Mousette asked groggily.
"We're in trouble." Sara said.
"We're in some sort of prisoner camp. Do you remember liberating that village?" Faith asked.
"Yes?" Queen Mousette replied after a moment's thought.
"Well, we were captured and brought here, wherever here is." Faith explained. "Sara says she could probably get us back to our friends but we were waiting for you to wake up for the best chance of getting out of here."
"This would most likely be one of the Guerillas strong hold. This is where they would live; keep their store of weapons, their ill-gotten goods, their prisoners and slaves for sale. They may still have stashes of each at other locations but they usually keep a lot of everything where they keep their prisoners and slaves."
"So, we might not be the only women being held here?" Jenny asked.
"There is a very good chance that that is so." Queen Mousette replied.
"What will they do when they find out that they've captured royalty?" Sara asked which made Queen Mousette and Faith chuckle.
"Queen is the name my mother gave me at birth. It isn't my title. The man I hired as my butler encouraged me to use it as such once I took over my plantation. He said it gave me an air of authority."
"You knew?" Sara asked turning to Faith.
"Sure, why do you think I can get away with calling her Queenie. You don't think I would do that to royalty do you?"
Sara and Jenny looked at each other and turned to Faith and said. "Sure you would."
Faith's face split into a huge smile and said. "You're probably right about that."
"How long was I out? What can you tell me about the camp? How many guards are there? What are their rotations? Have they come to check on us yet? Have you seen many guns?" Queen asked. And they began to fill her in on what they were able to observe during her nap.
/Scene Break/
"Well that's all the information we need and more." Rona said.
"Hey, I wasn't the one who asked that guy about his mother's virtue." Andrew said.
"Hey, after he told us what they were going to do with our friends all I said was you're a son of a b;#ch aren't you? I didn't mean for him to answer." Rona explained.
"And yet we heard all the vulgar details of his mother's promiscuousness."
"Hey, I'm just as weirded out as you. I'll never ask anything so vulgar when interrogating someone again."
Well, we better wait until the veritaserum wears off before we move out to rescue out friend. I don't think it should be too long before it's out of their system.
Just then their prisoners began convulsing.
"What?...what's going on?" Andrew asked as Rona flipped through the pages of the potions book looking for the answer.
"Oh no! Andrew the next potion in the book is the antidote and we never made it before administering it to them." Rona explained in worry.
"Antidote? That would mean that the truth serum was poisonous. Let me see that book." Andrew demanded as he took it from her.
Just then the prisoners began to fall over dead.
"Why wouldn't Luna warn us about that?" Rona wondered in anger.
Andrew answered when he realized the problem. "Because she couldn't. I think whatever takes Luna over to relay future information only does what it can. It knew Luna had enough ingredients in her potions kit to make the truth serum but not enough for the antidote. It couldn't take her over long enough to go shopping for those ingredients."
"So we couldn't make it because we don't have enough of the ingredients?"
"No we don't, remember I told you we we're running low on gobal nuts? Well that was only one of the things we didn't have much left of." Andrew told her.
"Well, what do we do now?" Rona asked.
"Store the bodies until we get back." He said shrugging his shoulders. "It's all we can do."
"Alright…" she said hesitantly. "When do we leave? We'll need at least three slayers for every Guerilla…" Rona paused to see if Andrew had anything to say.
"I'd feel more comfort able with six." He replied.
"Safety in numbers, alright I can see that. We can leave the rest of the slayers here to protect the village." she suggested.
"You think they're still in danger?" Andrew asked.
"They said these guys weren't the only threat in this area. There are at least two other Guerilla groups around here." Rona replied.
"Alright, then we'll take less than a third of the girls with us because we don't know what kind of condition the others will be in when we get there. If we don't come back in twenty four hours the rest of them will send out a small party to the Congo to let them know we're alive and to send help."
"It could take weeks for them to get there and back. Africa is a big place Andrew. Do you think we can hold out that long if were captured." Rona wondered.
"The help would be for the rest because I believe if this rescue attempt fails we will all be dead." Andrew replied.
Rona paused at that notion before she realized that she probably would rather be dead then be the prisoner of slave traders. "Right, here is what I had in mind for an attack plan." Rona began.
/Scene Break/
"Get ready everyone and be on guard as soon and your feet hit the ground. Three, two, one activate."
Willow, Hermione and the slayers were tossed around in hurricane like forces as the portkey took them to their destination. They ended up on the top floor of Wolfram and Hart the very place their intelligent told them the special items and weapons of power were kept. Immediately there were sirens and people rushing about. The intercom announced that there were several slayers and two unknown magic users.
"You were right, their sensors know what we are but why did they say unknown magic users?" Vi wondered.
"They may not have dealt with wizards in a long while." Willow replied.
Just then security came running up the stairs and out of the elevators but that's why the slayers were there, to work on keeping them off Willow and Hermione backs. However, Hermione had something that would slow the guards down as she threw a potable swamp between her friends and the guards before heading into the office at Willows heels.
"Let the guards deal with the crocodiles before they reached the slayers." She told Willow.
When they entered the office they found three men in suits and a large wreck demon, its short horns nearly scraping the ceiling. This was something Willow was surprised at but not too concerned about. Hermione threw magically ever itching powder at the men in suits but only one reacted to it as the others seemed to be immune. Unperturbed as she was told this might happen, Hermione brought out another Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes product. The Bashing Boomerang was a serious weapon. Hitting its target was like hitting it with a banishing hex and what was worse was that it had two settings. The first was directed, the second was Random Chaos only canceled by a preset word. When it left Hermione's hand she had flung it at one of the suits who immediately ducked. Unfortunately when he rose it bounced of the back of his head, banishing him out the door and into the slayers who threw him across the swamp with ease knocking over two of the guards who tried to cushion his fall. However, a couple of the guards got the idea to run into the nearest side room and using a fire ax chopped their way through into the next room and again into the next, where they would be on the other side of the swamp. Now the battle was on.
Inside the office the boomerang flew to and fro under Hermione's wand movements but the other suit stayed ducked and when he felt the breeze of the boomerang flying very close over him he flattened himself to the floor. At this height he believed it would be safe to look up and find out what the intruders were doing. The green one was at the vault. He noticed she had three of the five vault numbers to get into it. The one in the blue was the real surprise.
'A wand waver? She was from wizarding stalk. But they were taken out of the game long ago. The Bowlac demons saw to that. How was she here? What was she doing here? Well, it's a robbery obviously, but what could they want? What are they looking for?' He thought in wonder.
Meanwhile, since her other target was so low Hermione decided to try and take out the demon who if she thought about it, never tried to stop them. He might have been neutral in all of this. That was until Hermione's boomerang started to bounce off his head with no effect. Well, there actually was an effect. It was irritating the wreck demon and so without warning it raised its hand and caught the boomerang and crushed it. Then to Hermione's surprise the wreck demon began to speak, at least she thought it was speaking it was so low and gravelly however, she didn't understand the words. Just then Willow who had been preoccupied with the vault door gasped as she turned from what she was doing.
"Please tell me you didn't piss off the wreck demon." Willow pleaded to Hermione.
"The boomerang hit him several times but he didn't seem to mind until he crushed it." She explained.
"Oh that's bad. Normal wreck demons are easy to enrage but this one is an elder. thay practice a weird form of ritual magic chant that stops its rage but if you try to agitate it, it will use that magic against us." Willow explained.
"You could have mentioned that before I made it mad. But I think I can do something about it." Hermione replied.
Hermione then levitated a purple and yellow swirled pellet the size of a ping pong ball and banished it into the wreck demons chanting mouth. It chocked a bit but then growled before resuming its chant once more. It then stopped as it seemed it was trying to speak around something forming in its mouth. Willow jumped when a snake seemed to slither out of its mouth, backwards. The wreck demon seemed to be trying to push it back into its mouth.
Snakes? Willow asked.
Actually that was a Ton Tongue Toffee.
Willow looked at her worriedly as she asked. "You mean that's its tongue?"
"Well yeah, I just figured if it can't enunciate it wouldn't be able to do its magic." She then took her eyes off the demon to look towards Willow. "Shouldn't you be working on the vault?"
"Oh right." she replied with a jump and turned back to her work.
Hermione then saw that the other man in the room was aiming some sort of crystal at her which emitted a sickly brown spell at her, which she was able to block using a protego shield as well as a Weasley shield glove. She then flung a Fanged Flyer at the man's hand who found himself dropping the crystal in attempt to pry the flyer from his fingers. By then Willow got the Vault open. When she opened it she stood in awe. There were things within that were thought to be lost for centuries. Not willing to go inside in fear of a trap Willow used her wand to summon what she felt would be needed and some things she just wanted to examine when she had the time hoping they weren't of a dark magic.
"Are you almost done? Things are getting a bit hairy out here." Hermione shouted.
Willow did one last summon and closed the beaded bag.
"All set, let's go." Willow replied.
The man who finally got the flyer from his fingers was at the open door. He reached out and pulled two security guards who had been fighting slayers into the room by their collars before pointing at Willow and Hermione and shouting. "Get them!"
Hermione then dropped two different things to the floor and grabbed Willows hand. The room then went black. No one was able to see a thing as the instant darkness powder took effect. As the guards moved to the last known location of the two intruders somewhere in the far corner there came a loud noise that startled the guards but realized that that must be where the two women moved two and quickly changed direction.
Hermione waited in the darkness until the Decoy Detonator activated before she pulled Willow to where she remembered the door to be. She just hoped that the guards fell for the ruse. Once outside they closed the door behind them. The fight outside was growing out of proportion. There was an incredible amount of guards coming out of the wood work. Hermione decided to add more confusion to the mix by taking out a box from her bag and tossed it into the swamp. The Deflagration Deluxe was Weasley's Wizard Wheezes finest and biggest fireworks display. Just add water and watch hours of the best pyrotechnics around. Now the guards where trying to keep out of the way of the fire that zoomed their way, while the slayers regrouped around the two witches. As Hermione passed out the portkey rope the office door opened and the two guards as well as the man in the suit came out only to run back in when several of the fireworks chased them. Then the tremors of an earthquake started to rumble under their feet, Tremors that had been happening off and on for weeks now. Hermione made sure everyone was accounted for before activating the portkey. It would be a long time before the fireworks at Wolfram and Hart fizzled out keeping the lawyers from their job. Needless to say they were quite upset and angry. This was not to be ignored and retaliation was inevitable.
/Scene Break/
Meanwhile back in Ohio the witches and slayers landed in the teleport room. Willow immediately noticed that some of the slayers had cuts and were showing different forms of pain. Some were limping another was holding her arm to her chest.
"Oh no, what happened to you guys? I didn't think any of us would be hurt." Willow asked worriedly. Willow said panicking.
"Don't worry about it Will. We had fun with those guys but some of them weren't human which allowed us to go full slayer on them and then some of them were using spells against some of us." Vi explained.
"Spells! That's it everyone get up to the med wing we need Katie to catalog what hit you guys and cure you before it gets worse." Willow said excitedly.
"Trust us, we know enough to seek magical help when dealing with unknown spells we're just worried about Giles and Buffy seeing us." Vi said in concern.
"Oh right, when we left they were heading ether to the England branch or maybe Africa but that last one doesn't sound practical because not only would they need magic to get there and protect them but the African governments wouldn't let them get to the scene of the crash without permission." Willow explained.
"Willow, I had a nasty thought what if Wolfram and Hart try to call the G.C. directly for our actions. Won't they be calling Giles?" Vi wondered.
"I thought of that and I magically rerouted the switchboard to send any calls from them to ether me or my messaging service. Now everyone get upstairs." Willow ordered.
Before any of them moved Hermione asked. "Are you this forceful with your girlfriends as well? Is that what they are into? Is that what you're into?"
This caused Willow to lose her seriousness and turned red as everyone else chuckled and made their way up the med wing.
Once everyone else was out of earshot Willow turned to Hermione. "Why do you do that to me?" she asked amused as they walked down the hall to Willows room.
I've noticed that this side of me came out once I was no longer under the enchantments of document zero.
That would make since. Willow replied.
"And I think this side of me just likes to try and get redheads to bush the same shade as their hair."
"Oh you must have been a riot at the Weasleys." Willow commented.
"Well I haven't seen them much, have I? In the past I would never have thought about saying the things I've been saying because I didn't have too many real friends growing up, before Hogwarts that is and even then it was difficult. I think beside Harry, you're the only person I could joke with like that."
"No friends?"
"Not in my non-magical school but I've made them afterwards like Luna and Neville and Harry."
"Yeah, I've been there growing up and I like the fact that you feel comfortable enough to joke with me." Willow confessed.
"I feel as if I've belonged here at the G.C. all along." Hermione replied.
"Well, we could have used you in the past. Those weapons you used today were something."
"Those were the product sold at Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes." Hermione announced.
"Oh, well, I guess Dawn was right about them. I wasn't here when she demonstrated them for the rest of the Scoobies and slayers."
"So would you say this was the worst op you ever had?" Hermione asked .
"With what we got away with and who we took it from this went much better than I would have ever thought." Willow said not telling her that she expected at least one person critically injured but Hermione realized that was possibly what she was thinking.
"Well, I have to get back to the prep work for the memorial. I still can't believe they're gone." Willow said getting misty eyed.
"Do you need any help?" Hermione asked.
"Not with the prep work but I could use some help keeping it together when I start writing the elegy."
"That I can help you with, come on let's get to work."
/Scene Break/
It took fifteen minutes for Rona to get back from the recon of the Guerilla encampment up the road. Twenty slayers and Andrew were waiting but on alert. There was no telling how far away from there encampment these Guerilla had sentries stationed. Rona knew this and was careful not to startle the others or she could be severely hurt. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief when she returned.
"What did you see? How many are there? Did you see Faith and the others?" Andrew asked.
"Chillax Andrew, let me get my wind back. Alright, I was able to see seventeen. They have three lookout towers the one on the south side near the jungle was manned by two guards."
"That makes sense, if the prisoners were to plan an escape they would head that way." Andrew said.
"There are three buildings one for the prisoners, one for their men and one probably acts as an office and communications room. There is also a structure made of sandbags for ammo and explosives. They also have two trucks and a jeep with several drums of fuel. I wish we had our phones I could have brought back pictures." Rona said.
"They would probably know enough to keep watch for glairs form a phone coming out of the jungle, which reminds me everyone should take off anything reflective before we start our attack. A glare from a wrist watch could give us away. Remember, these guys aren't demon they're not as stupid and might have a bit of training." Andrew warned.
Everyone began to put their jewelry into their pockets and listened as Rona and Andrew made their plans for attack.
Meanwhile, inside the barracks.
Faith had and Queen finished telling the others two slayers the plan for escape. Queen wanted to make sure that they would help any of the other women captured to escape as well.
"You mustn't tell any of the other prisoners that I am a witch." Queen requested.
"Is this about your ministry and the wizard cops?" Faith asked.
"No, there are many villages in Africa that are superstitious and are afraid of witches. They see us as evil and to do anything that a witch told you to do would be like doing the devils bidding. They would sooner run away into a mine field than fight alongside of a witch even if it was to save their people. I'm not even sure of the people we saved in the village we were captured in."
"Well that's just dandy. This could get hairier than hell if they see slayers the same way." Faith said.
"Supernatural strength is actually seen as a gift from the gods. You should do fine." Queen replied.
"Well, that's something then. Let's get this show on the road." Faith said.
"We better hurry." Jenny announced. "Two men are headed to this building. They're ether changing the guards in here or doubling them since it's about time for us to wake up."
"It's now or never girls." Faith said and pulled the door off its hinges when she forced it open just in case there was a padlock on the other side she didn't know about. It was best to destroy the door than for the guards hearing them trying to stumbling over a locked door. This allowed the other two slayers to rush out into the hall and take out the two guards. It wasn't as quiet as they had hoped and the two guards approaching the building rushed in. Faith had rushed them temporarily pinning them to the wall using the door. However one had his arm above the door and it had a gun in it. When he was slammed against the wall it went off alerting every guard on base to the commotion. The guard brought his hand gun down and aimed it at Faith. Queen was heard behind her shouting. "Expelliarmus! Stupefy! Stupefy!" The guard with the gun found himself disarmed. Then both guards that had been pinned by the door fell unconscious. Faith tuned around and looked at Queen with a question in her eyes as she asked.
"I thought they confiscated your wand?"
"I have an invisible undetectable wand holster. The Muggels never found it to take it away. Not that I need it." She replied as she raised her empty hand and the gun on the floor flew up and slammed into the head of a third guard that rushed through the door.
"Way to go Queenie! Let's open the door to that small room down the hall. There might be other prisoners." Sara said.
"Right, Jenny you and Queenie watch the door. Sara, you're with me." Faith ordered.
They moved down the hall and when they got to the door Faith did as before and pulled the door off of its hinges. What they found inside shocked and sickened them.
Outside the encampment,
The slayers and Andrew heard the gunshot and that the attention of the guards were now focused on the barracks that held the prisoners.
"I think that's as good a cue as any for us to start our attack now that they are all looking the other way." Rona announced.
Andrew said a simple low powered spell and the fencing began to melt away from its supports. Not just in front of him but he continued to do so in strategic places around the camp just in case they needed more than one way out. None of the guards even noticed it. The first slayer went to the top of the closest tower and knocked out the guard. The second slayer snuck up the guard tower as fast as she could and had a bit of a scuffle with the guard before she took him out quickly as well. The third tower was too far away and would see them approach. Rona told the rest to leave it to her and to continue to make their move. The slayers continued on sneaking up on many of the guards and sending them to the mercy of Morpheus. They took out five more before the last tower spotted them and opened fire.
Inside.
Faith and Sara looked at the people in the small room. Many were skinny, others were beaten but what really bothered them was the overcrowding and the stench. There were about twenty to twenty five people in a room so small none could sit or lay without doing so on top of one of the others. It was all elbow to elbow. What was worse was that there were no toilets and so they defecated where they stood. That would be another reason no one would be laying down. They were all women and looked very tired; most of their clothes were worn and ripped. There wasn't much left and what there was barely protected their modesty. It was surprising that these people didn't make a peep all the while that they had been here. But they had been there so long that they had learned that making any sound brought down the butt of an AK-47 several times upon there broken and battered bodies.
Faith looked at the people closest to her and said. "We're getting out of here. If you want to be away from his hell hole come with us."
Many of them jumped at the chance others seemed to be thinking about what would happen while several moved to the back wall and as far away as possible from the strange women. They didn't want to be beaten when this attempt failed just like all the other times.
Faith walked away while only half followed. Sara tried to stop Faith and said.
"Not all of them are following. Maybe they don't understand. Shouldn't we do something?"
"They understood, they have just been here so long they don't want to take the chance that we would fail them." Faith said shaking her head in pity.
"But we won't." Sara said
"And you'll never convince them of that." Queen replied as they got to her. "As a matter of fact if you were to force them it is more likely that they would call to their captures in hope they would be rewarded with less punishment than the rest of us would get when we were caught."
"That's nuts." Sara argued.
"You are correct." Queen replied. "Welcome to Africa."
"Why are we here again? Why did the G.C. open a school here anyway?" Sara asked.
"This is not the time to ask philosophical questions we are in the middle of an escape. Keep your head in the game." Faith reprimanded.
Just then they heard machine gun fire.
"Now what?" Faith asked.
"They're not shooting at us. It's something or someone out in the yard." Jenny said.
Outside
The slayers were pinned down in various spots around the yard and the men were slowly approaching their positions as they shot.
One of the Slayers turned to Andrew and asked the rather calm man sitting Indian style amongst the chaos. "Now, what do we do Andrew?"
"We wait young one and have Faith." He said pretending as hard as he could to be calm in a sea of fear for the sake of his girls and praying for a miracle as they were out of options.
Rona ran around the outside of the encampment while the others went through the middle she had seen that Andrew destroyed the fence behind the last guard tower and was able to make her way there. While the guards were focused on the slayers she climbed the tower. She knew this would be tricky as there were two people in this tower. She reached into her pocket and felt for her blackjack, a weapon she used when questioning vampires. She wished she had found her billy-club before they left on this rescue mission but she was just happy to have any kind of weapon on her person just in case. She peeked through the hole in the floor to make sure the guards were otherwise occupied. She found that their attention was on the field below shooting at her friends. With one hard push of her legs she flew silently through the hole and landed quietly behind the men. Instead of using the blackjack, She took to doing what she saw on old hero movies and grabbed both of their heads and slammed them together sufficiently knocking them out. She knew when the shooting stopped that the others guards on the ground would realize there was something wrong in the crow's nest so she disabled the guns and got out of there quickly. She was making her way across the side of the building across from the prisoner's barracks.
Inside the prisoner's barracks
Sara was trying to see who the guards were shooting at but they were behind cover and couldn't see them. Just then she caught something out of the corner of her eye and whispered excitedly that Rona was here.
"The others must be a slayer rescue party. We can't let them fight alone." Queen said.
"Well shit, what are we standing here for? Let's get them while there backs are turn now that we know the invaders won't try and kill us." Faith said.
It was so easy. They simply walked up behind the men pinning down their friends with gun fire and they hit them in the back of the head knocking them out. It was over in no time.
"What do we do with them now?" Sara asked.
"What do we do with this place? I think it should be destroyed." Jenny said.
"As much as I like that idea I think we should just put some distance between us and them." Rona replied.
"You didn't see what they did to those women in there." Sara replied in disgust.
"What women?" Rona asked as she was pointed back to the barracks.
There, like timid deer women peeked out of the door and slowly made their way out of the building.
Behind them Andrew got the main gate opened and told them to get a move on. Some of the slayers guided the women into one of the trucks. One of them took the cavas top off the back for some open air so the others wouldn't feel Claustrophobic after their ordeal. Andrew got behind the wheel as he was the best with standard shift driving. He had been taught by Xander years ago when he came back from Africa the first time. Once everyone was aboard and a few of the fuel drums were loaded onto the truck Andrew drove out the front gate. Three of the women even cheered as they left. Faith, Rona, Queen, Jenny and Sara stayed behind to figure out what they could do to keep these men from doing the same to others.
"I say we put them into the barracks and set fire to it." Sara announced. She was appalled at the condition she found those women in. Jenny was nodding behind her.
"Sara! I'm surprised at you. The first thing you learn when you become a slayer is that you don't kill humans." Rona explained so Faith didn't have to. She knew it would stir up old and bad memories for her.
"Well, she's right that this place should be destroyed. We should look around at how to make that a reality at least." Faith said.
"Setting a fire to the buildings seems to be the best idea." Rona replied
"Let's check out the ammo dump or whatever they call it." Faith replied.
They came up on a manmade swamp that they were sure was used for torture. They just weren't sure if there were gators (or was it crocs?) in it.
Just as they were passing it someone on the side of the road yelled, "Halt." They stopped in their tracks as they saw three men with their guns pointed at them.
"S*#T!" Faith said.
"They must be sentries. They must have been in the jungle when the shooting started." Rona said.
"I don't know how you knock out the rest but it won't matter. Whoever you are you'll fetch a nice price. Better than any of the others would. We don't get to many white lookers around here." One of the men said taking up the role as leader.
"The others are already gone." Faith replied.
"It doesn't matter. We'll get them back. If we don't it won't matter. They were worthless compared to what you'll bring in so we can afford to shoot them on sight. Pity, they were just starting to become well trained slaves. But then again I always liked to start with fresh meat. I like to watch the fire in their eyes slowly die during the training when they submit. Tell me, how hot does your fire burn?" He asked with a leer.
"Put the gun down and I show you sweet cheeks." Faith said with a bright smile.
"Faith! What the hell are you doing?" Rona growled.
Faith knew Rona was only lending to her act. By Rona showing little confidence in Faiths ability to fight this guy off it would bring in the braggart closer for attack. The others slowly backed away from Faith as the man came closer. The other two guards kept the other slayers covered as the man grabbed Faiths face by her cheeks making her pucker. She tore her face away from him and backed up a step to get into a fighting stance. The man saw it for what it was and attacked with what would have been a jab to the face. To his surprise Faith caught his forearm with both hands, and a smile on her face as she looked him in the eye and broke his arm like breaking a stick of kindling. The man screamed in pain. The other men took their eyes off the other women just for a second to take a peek at their leader. That was their mistake and was Queen's cue to attack. She pulled her wand and transfigured the first man's gun into a large adder. The second tried to pull his gun back into her direction but she tuned his into an alligator. Both men dropped the reptiles and the man with the broken arm backed away to his companions. He then grabbed a grenade from the man next to him.
"I don't know what you people are but you not worth the trouble. I'm done with you." He said and pulled the pin. Just as he was about to throw it there was a great heave beneath everyone's feet. Faith, the slayers and Queen flew backwards through the air and into the swamp. The men went flying in the other direction. The women landed with a splash but the men landed with a boom as the grenade landed right next to them and went off killing them.
"What was that?" Rona said spitting out water.
Just then the ground began to violently shake. The water in the swamp which was only about four feet deep and about fifty feet wide was thrown up into the air about three feet and splashed back down into its hole. The women were also throne upwards as well but had been surrounded by the water like it was embryonic fluid keeping them safe during splashdown.
Faith now surfaced spitting out water and yelled. "Earthquake!"
The violent shaking could be felt all the way to the Cape of Good Hope but only lasted for twenty seconds before it was over.
The slayers cautiously dragged themselves out of the water making sure there were no other surprises. To their relief the other men seemed to still be unconscious. At least one Guerilla may have met his maker from being tossed around and landing on a rack of pointed rebar (a device they used to torture their prisoners with.). Queen took charge of the women long enough to use a drying charm on each of them, for which they thanked her. They then looked around their surroundings and found the camp didn't fair to well. The barracks were now large piles of broken lumber and glass; the towers had fallen over and smashed to pieces. The only thing that really said this was a concentration camp were the pieces of fence that still surrounded the place and the sandbag hole in the dirt armory of theirs.
"Hey Queenie, can you take down the rest of the fence with your wand?" Faith asked.
"I can do that." She replied.
"Sara, Jenny, see if you can get the last truck and that jeep started while Rona Queenie and I take care of the armory. Then you two see if those drums have fuel in them and try to put them on the truck without dumping them. If you need help call for one of us. We're calming the trucks, jeep and fuel as a right of conquest." Faith said with a smirk as her GED history lessons were paying off once again.
As Jenny and Sara left and were out of ear shot Rona tuned to Faith and asked. "You don't think that was the beginning of the main event do you? I mean I thought Africa was supposed to be safe."
"Well, when you think about it the prophecy said nothing about being safe just that it would survive." Queen replied.
"Oh great, so we going to be the fleas that live on top of a bucking bronco."
"Yee haw." Faith replied in a conversational tone without humor.
"What about these guys here?" Rona asked.
"I shall take care of them." Queen announced.
"You aren't going to kill them, are you?" Faith asked.
Queen looked torn as to how to answer that question. On one hand she wanted them dead for all the misery they had caused on the other she didn't want to anger her knew allies. The others saw she was in conflict with herself and hoped she wasn't thinking of going over to the dark side as Andrew would say. She then had an idea that she could use as a compromise. "Would all of you agree that these men are the lowest and most foul being, that they have done atrocities that could never be atoned for?"
"Well yes, but we can't and won't kill them. Nor do we have the right to be judge or jury." Faith said
"Who better than? We were their prisoners and if we hadn't had our special abilities and made short work of them we would have ended up as those women we found and I'm positive that the women didn't do anything to warrant the treatment they received. Besides, even if this country convicted them of their crimes they wouldn't be in prison for very long. The other guerilla military groups may not see eye to eye with each other but they have an unwritten rule to come to the rescue of each other should they be arrested. They would be broken out of their prison within a fortnight." Queen explained.
With a sigh of frustration Faith asked. "Did you have something in mind other than killing them?"
"Yes, observe." Queen said as she waved her wand and transfigured one of the men into a rat.
Sara was just coming back from the truck when she jumped back and her whole body shivered. "Rats! Why did it have to be rats? I hate rats!" much to the amusement of the others.
Faith turned back to the transformed man and asked. "Is this permanent?"
"Yes, and fitting. Only I or another witch can turn them… back to the beast they once were as I have a difficult time calling them human. They will still be alive but would become pray for the wildlife. If they get eaten it will not only be justice but also add to the food chain or as one of your popular cartoons once called it 'the circle of life' I would not feel any guilt over it. Do any of you have any better ideas?"
The group paused to think about it. Not having a better alternative they agreed to Queen's idea. What Queen didn't tell them was that the injuries the men had as a person would stay with them as a rat. So the men that got broken limbs during the fight would still have them, making them even easier prey for any predator that came along. She wasn't a healer after all. So, she proceeded to transfigure each man with disguised glee while everyone else went to work. After the armory was taken care of and the truck was loaded Faith got behind the wheel and Rona would lead the way in the jeep as they made their way back to the village.

Back at the G.C. Buffy had come back early and came rushing into Willows Office to find Willow and Hermione working on something or other.
"What did you do?" Buffy asked accusingly.
"What do you mean?" Willow asked trying to find out if she meant the raid on Wolfram and hart or not.
"Why are several of my best slayers injured, and why did one of them have this on them?" Buffy said throwing a yellow ski mask on her desk. "That's supposed to be part of my costume when we go raiding. Why did Devon have it? Did you go on a raid without me?"
"Well ummm…"
That turned out to be enough of a 'yes' answer for Buffy so she asked. "Why?"
"Umm, if I don't answer, you have plausible deniability for when and if Giles gets informed." Willow said.
"What! What did you do?" Buffy asked conspiratorially.
"Are you sure you want to know? You could get in a lot of trouble and if I don't you won't be yelling at me."
"Yelling at you? What did you do? And don't make me ask again." Buffy said.
Willow didn't answer. She just reached into her beaded bag and pulled out a large crystal on a chain which Buffy recognized immediately.
"The scrubbing bubbles crystal." She said in confusion and then her eyes went wide. "You went to Wolfram and Hart. You stole from Wolfram and Hart. What were you thinking and why didn't you invite me."
"I was thinking we could use the mystical weapons they hoard there and put them to better use in Africa, And as to the other question like I said before, 'plausible deniability'. I was trying to protect you." Willow explained.
"Oh, like I wasn't going to get in trouble for all the other raids. It was damn stupid to just walk in there and take stuff from a law firm. The night watchmen are bound to be vicious."
"Well, that's why we did it in broad daylight and let me tell you it was no picnic." Willow replied.
"What!" Buffy shouted. "What were you thinking? Did they figure out who you were?"
"Well, of course not, not specifically at least. They did know that some of the girls were slayers, because, they seemed to have a ward for identifying intruders, but all they could figure out about Hermione and I was that we were some kind of magic users."
"That's just great. They know they were slayers. We'll probably get a call about it and then there will be no way we'll be able to keep it away from Giles." Buff fretted.
"Not if the earthquake takes down the building first." Hermione mentioned.
"There was an earthquake?" Buffy asked.
"Yeah, just as we left there were tremors but that's been happening for over a month now. That's why we shut down the California school." Willow replied.
After a moment of contemplation Buffy said. "Well at least no one was seriously hurt but I don't want you going without me again. I would have loved to do some damage there."
"Yeah, well you're the one person I wasn't going to risk. You're too important in too many ways. Killing you would have been the kindest thing they would have done. Could you imagine what they would do if they caught Buffy Summers, second in command of the Guardian Council and the longest lived, strongest, smartest, cunning, most inspiring, seasoned fighter who happens to be Queen of the slayer? I shudder to think." Willow replied piling it on.
Buffy was turning red from embarrassment from the listing of her accomplishments and had to agree with her that it could have been a stupid move on her part to have gone with the others.
"Alright, fine, I agree but there is still one thing that bothers me."
"What's that?"
"Devon is a lot bustier than me and now my yellow custom will be all stretched out." Buffy said with a pout.

On a completely different note Arthur Weasley had just finished his dinner in a private dining room at a semi fancy muggle restaurant with his invited guest the Minister of Magic, Kingsley Shacklebolt. After the waiter took the last of their empty dishes and were comfortably sipping coffee the Minister broke the silences.
"So Arthur, what is it that has brought us here. You seemed to have something important to tell me but couldn't bring it up in my office or, as it would seem within the magically word. Just why did you bring me to this muggle restraint?"
"Didn't you enjoy the food Sack?" Arthur said innocently.
"Yes actually, the food was amazing, which brings up a thought I should have asked before. Do you have any muggle money to pay for it?" he questioned.
"Yes, of course. I have eaten here before with a muggleborn and know how it works. I even have enough for a nice tip. He explained as he pulled out the correct amount of muggle money plus tip and put it into the wallet that had the bill in it left by the waiter.
Shack looked relived at that and so Arthur launched himself into the topic for which he had brought the Minister here this evening.
"Several things have come to pass recently that has me worried that we're going to lose so much in a short time and I feel that I haven't done enough to try and save who I can. I've been afraid about how people would look at me. But now it would seem that the time is drawing nearer. We're too close now. I needed to bring you here to a muggle restraint so this device would work." He said pulling out a plastic shelled box. "This is known to the muggles as a portable DVD player. It plays recordings. The closest thing I can compare it to is like watching memories in a pensive. In this case I have a recording to show you of what the muggle governments of the world have found out and are keeping a secret from the people at large. This has been distributed by people who wanted to get the word out to everyone. The person has made the recording to be a bit humorous to alleviate the horror of what it tries to convey. Please don't let it take away from its message."
Arthur pressed play and the video started. Kingsley watched with a quirked eyebrow. Once the video was over he laced his fingers in front of his face with his elbows on the table as he stared Arthur in the eye as he tried to figure out when his friend had finally stepped off the deep end. He was unsure how to proceed. Should he let his friend run around spreading stories and causing panic? How would it look politically if he brought him kicking and screaming to saint Mongos doors? Then he latched onto something that may bring Arthur to see sense.
"The date explained in this…recording says it would happen on the twenty first of this month. I'm sorry Arthur but that time has elapsed and we're still here."
"Yes well, the man who made the recording was working off of a less than accurate prophecy but only when it comes to exact dates. The muggle governments are still monitoring the temperatures of the earth's core and those numbers are still rising. It could happen anywhere from now to the beginning of spring. If one were to believe in the date then they should believe that we are living on borrowed time at this point."
Shack shook his head in sorrow for his friend. He wondered if Molly knew. This could put a damper on the fame and good fortune her new career has brought her. But if anyone could bring him in for mind healing, he decided that he could and he could possibly spin this to come out looking like a minister who cared for the people. And so he pulled his wand and pointed it at Arthur.
"I'm sorry my old friend. This muggle obsession of yours has rotted your mind, Arthur. For anyone to believe in this trip one's mind would have to have become the consistency of dragon dung. I cannot in good conscious let you run around free to spread panic like this."
Arthur looked at him with great disappointment. He then gave a little chuckle (which didn't make him look any saner to Kingsley.) before saying. "You remind me of the way Fudge discredited Harry when he told the truth about Voldemort being back. You don't want to believe it so you tell yourself I must be the one that's crazy."
" Listen to yourself Arthur, you're talking about the end of the world because of the madness of muggles."
"Muggles are incredibly smart Shack. They can do things with science that look like magic and in some cases are better than magic, not in every case mind you but some. And if there was ever a contest between which was better I haven't a doubt that muggle science would come out on top."
"This is my point Arthur, as fond of muggles as you are they can never be better than us."
"How would you know Shack, when was the last time you looked around the muggle world, read their publications to see what they've been up to and how far they have progressed from what we were taught in muggle studies back when we were in school."
"Arthur, I'm not listening to this. You need help." Kingsley said.
"Very well Shack, I just want you to promise me that if you find that what I'm saying comes to pass that you will take who and what you can to Africa. It's supposed to be the only place that will survive in the end."
Shackelbolt shook his head at how far his friend had fallen and in hopes that Arthur would come along peacefully he said. "Sure Arthur, for an old friend like you I'll do that. Now if you'll take my arm I'll take you to the mind healers at saint Mongos."
"Shack my friend; I'd just like to say one thing before we part and that is that my mind is not idled."
When Arthur utterd the word 'idled' he activated the portkey he had on his person. Kingsly fired off a stunner hitting Arthur too late as he watched his old friend disappear.
Kingsly looked at the space where Arthur disappeared and thought of his next move. He would have to alert the Aurors and Arthurs family. How cold things become such a mess. He shook his head once more and left the restaurant to Apparate back to the ministry to get the wheels in motion.

Back at the G.C. Arthur awoke when Katie Bell used the Enervate spell in the medical wing. Willow and Giles were there and Willow asked.
"I take it, it didn't go so well." Giles asked.
"No, not quite. He didn't believe a word of it." Arthur replied.
"Darn, I thought that with the destruction of document zero your minister would be more open minded by now." Willow said.
"I had hoped that he would see reason enough to possibly help us. Your government seems to be just as bull headed as the Watchers Council used to be." Giles said.
"Yeah, and look where that got them." Willow added.
"Where exactly is that?" Arthur wondered aloud.
"Blown up." Giles and Willow said in unison.
Arthur looked at them in shock not knowing how to reply.
"Well we kind of knew it was a lost cause going in. I'm just sorry Mr. Weasley can't go back. If he were to go into the magical world now he'd probably be ceased on sight and taken to saint Mongos." Katie announced.
"Really?" Willow asked.
"Yes really. By now the Minister has informed the Aurors and his family to be on the lookout." Katie explained.
"I'm terribly sorry, Arthur. Had I known it would escalate to what it has I would never have suggested it." Giles said.
"Still, I had to try, and it's a weight off my shoulders that I did." Arthur replied.
"It may have worked had you had Harry and or Hermione with you." Katie said.
"I couldn't bring them into this. Harry's exit from the magical world has been a thorn in the ministry's side since he left and if all three of us approached him there was always the chance that he would feel cornered." Arthur replied.
"Cornered?" Katie asked.
"If the three of us came to him and told this story he could see it as a new cult uprising. He would see us as spreading seeds of panic in the streets of the magical world and being the public figures we are, he would know people would believe us." He explained.
"And there would go any hope of keeping any order among the citizens." Willow commented.
"I never thought of it like that. The three of you would have that kind of fame and power to do it. Maybe you could go to other magical communities in other countries." Katie said.
"Actually, the moment the Minister reported my attempt at informing him, the incident would have went out to other countries through the International Confederation of Wizards." Arthur explained.
"International Confederation? Good lord, if the magical world is this big I can't imagine how we've missed it all this time." Giles said in exasperation.
"Oh Arthur, Then you can't enter the magical world at all anymore." Katie said feeling sorry for him.
"Not to worry, Katie, I knew this was a possibility going in and as I said I felt it had to be done. We're making a new community in Africa where magical and mundane will live in harmony. That will be more magical than anything we have now."

It took half the night to realize when they tried to end the fireworks they would just double and prolong the show. It drove many of the heads into raging anger when they realized that bit of news. Many employees hid in the offices to get away from the fire and noise but some of the fireworks would follow them into the offices when someone else would enter and everyone would have to vacate the room. The lawyers were angry with the slayers as many documents were destroyed that day before they could get them into filing cabinets. One drawer went up in flames as they were trying to shove papers in to protect them only to have a fireball fly into the open space. The wreck demon told the lawyers that his clan is canceling all dealing with the law firm for the next two thousand years.
The lawyers of Wolfram and Hart were still ducking fireworks the next morning. In one of the conference rooms that was free of sparks a meeting was being held about the retaliation they were about to mount. They were able to call upon several of the more powerful demon types with powers that even slayers would find hard to beat including three Blean demons two Vargoth and several others and then they had several black ops teams armed to kill anyone within the school. No one was to be left alive.
It was a surprise that the slayers had found and allied themselves with wand wavers but a well-placed bullet would still take them down just like everyone else.
"We have to assume that they came from the Guardian Council Academe. It's also reasonable to assume that they came from the school here in California and that's where we will make our move." One of the head lawyers Said.
"Don't you think they will be waiting for us?" The leader of the black ops team asked.
"More than likely but even slayers can't stop bullets nor can they kill humans without going mad." Another lead explained.
"And the wand wavers, what about them?" the black ops lead asked.
"From our research they were on the verge of outlawing several curses when last seen. One of them was the killing curse. That's not to say they didn't have other curses that were just as dangerous so you will have to be careful but I want them all neutralized with extreme prejudice. No one is to be left alive." The head Lawyer said.
"What if we fail?" The black ops lead asked.
"You had better not. We own your souls after all." The Head Lawyer replied.
"I realize that but things could happen and I just want to make sure that if I have to endure and eternity of hell that someone would at least continue to fight." He stated.
"Don't you worry about that; if we find that you don't come back we'll open up the gates of hell as we did when Angel attempted his little coup. Fire demons are quite effective in cleansing such stains but we have every confidence in your team's abilities."

Guardian Council Academy Ohio:
Buffy walked into Willows office to find her and Hermione watching a screen that seemed to be displaying one of the other schools.
"What are you two up to?" Buffy asked.
"We're keeping an eye on the G.C. school in California someone or something tripped the new perimeter wards I set up using the wizarding methods." Willow replied.
"I thought we closed the California school?" Buffy wondered.
We did but we didn't announce it to the general public so we figured that would be where Wolfram and Hart would think the attack on their building came from." Willow replied.
"It seems we were right. They have sent several armed men and many fearsome looking demons." Hermione confirmed.
Buffy looked up at the screen and said. "Hey that's a crag demon. Those are incredibly dangerous. Those guys are playing for keeps."
"That's not all they sent. I've seen a few Blean demons and a couple of Moctar crawlers." Willow confirmed.
Buffy looked a little worried now. "Umm guys this may have gotten out of hand when they find out we closed that school they'll be going after the others. With that kind of muscle we may lose a lot of people."
"Don't worry Buffy I planned for this. I think I got it covered. I hope." Willow said with a little worry in her voice.
"What do you mean? What have you done?" Buffy wondered.
"I set some things up. The building is a lure. I set spells and illusions to make it look and sound inhabited. Hopefully they will fall for it." Willow explained.
"You mean it's a trap?" Buffy asked.
"Kind of, I don't know how long I'll be able to hold them off even if I fool them long enough to spring what I have in store for them. The problem is if the people on the outside figure it out, then they can get their mages to counter what I've done." Willow explained.
"What did you do?" Buffy asked and realized she'd been asking that question of them a lot lately.
"It's a mixture of Wizarding magic and different kinds of Wiccan magic that spans the globe. I even found Norse and Viking spells both of which are pretty obscure so hopefully no one will recognize it for a while." Willow replied.
"Okay, but what did you actually do?" Buffy said once again.
It was then that Hermione announced that the demons and black ops teams were making their move, so without answering Buffy, Willow moved to the screen as they watched the first teams charge through the front door.
"Right now they are hearing girls shouting battle commands that will force the op guys to seek the nearest cover. They should charge into the nearest classrooms." Willow told Buffy.
As she said that, it was exactly what had happened as they rushed into the first three open doors.
"Why haven't they taken out the cameras yet? I would think that would be the first thing they would take care of so that we wouldn't know their position." Buffy wondered.
"The cameras have been disillusioned as well as having a notice-me-not spell on them." Hermione explained.
Buffy believed she knew what she meant. At least she figured that Notice-me-not was kind of self-explanatory.
"Hey where are they now? I don't recognize those rooms." Buffy asked.
Those are the same class rooms they charged into." Hermione said.
"They look like auditoriums with large walls and pipes." Buffy replied still trying to figure out what she was looking at.
"We actually expanded the classrooms to be bigger on the inside." Hermione told her.
"Like your beaded bag?" Buffy asked Hermione.
"Something like that. The walls you see are actually the student desks tipped over on their sides. We just enlarged them to be super huge and those pipes are the metal legs." Willow explained.
Buffy turned her head to the side. Once she realized what she was looking at, she chuckled as she watched the ops guys moving around each corner with extreme caution. They definitely had a lot of ground to cover.
"The moment they walk in their communications with the outside world, it was cut off. Right now they are seeing glimpses of girls running from one place to another but they're gone before they can take a shot at them." Willow explained further.
"Tricking them looks fun and all but I'm sure it's only pissing them off." Buffy said aloud realizing it would her if she was in their shoes.
"Tricking them is only the first part. I just need them to continue to search and destroy for a few more seconds and then we'll have them."
"Time's up Willow!" Hermione announced.
Willow then began a spell over a crystal. It began to glow a dark blue. When the glow diminished Willow announced it was a success.
"Congratulations Willow!" Hermione said.
"What happened? What did you do?" Buffy said rolling her eyes at saying it again.
"I put the whole lot of them in a time loop." Willow announced.
Buffy blinked as she tried to wrap her head around what her best friend was telling her. "Wait a moment; I was stuck in one of those once."
"Yeah Andrew taught me how to do it. It's the same spell modified a bit."
"But if it's the same one I was under then all they would have to do is figure out what hoops to jump through to end it."
"That's what I meant by modifying the spell. None of these guys are the center of the spell so they are just the background that will keep repeating."
"Wait, how does that work? How did you do that?" Buffy asked.
"There is actually a small mouse in the far corner that has the spell on it. The mouse is the center of the spell but it's not aware enough to realize it in a time loop or even what a time loop is. The only way the mouse will end the spell is if it presses buttons on a keyboard to spell 'Scooby-doobe-doo'."
"That will never happen… So then you've got them stuck?" Buffy realized out loud.
"For the time being as long as no one on the outside figures out what's going on and tries countering my spells." Willow confirmed.
Outside of the school in California
The lawyers were upset that they had lost communications with their teams on the inside.
"I'm not liking this Edwards." The head Lawyer said. "Where are they? What's happing in there? Why haven't they responded to our communications? Why am I not hearing gunfire?"
"I'm not sure sir. They may have been incapacitated moments after they charged through the door. It may be time to send in the fire demons. Edwards said."
"Get the mages to open the gates of hell on these bitches once and for all. Send them all in. I want them all dead before nightfall and their burnt carcasses dragged out here on the front lawn."
"Right away sir." Edwards replied.
Back in ohio.
"What if they send in another team?" Buffy asked.
"That's exactly what's happening Willow." Hermione announced.
"Let's hope this next part works." Willow Hoped.
"Willow what are they doing?" Hermione asked.
"It looks like they just upped the stakes. It looks like they're opening a passage to a hell dimension. Buffy said."
As they watched the screen they saw hordes of demons of lava and fire come through and were pointed in the direction of the school.
"I sure hope whatever you have planned works on them too." Buffy said in concern.
"I'm certain it will but I got to say I never expected them to take it this far. Willow replied."
She then began to cast a spell over another crystal. She finished just as they burst through the doors. The hordes should have easily filled the school but Willow's incantation activated a prepared spell that expanded the inside halls of the school in a downwards direction. Every person or demon that entered would make the inside dimensions become ten square yards in every direction including downwards. They soon found themselves in a very deep hole.
Outside of the school in California:
The head lawyer announced that he was going to follow the demons into the school to show other slayers or any enemy in the future that would challenge his law firm that he was the victor sending the message, "Don't mess with me."
"Are you sure that's wise? We haven't heard anything yet." Edwards asked.
"Not only am I certain, you're coming with me Edwards, relax; we'll have the reserve black ops team by our side the entire way. Come along Edwards."
In the end it was their own overconfidence that did them in. Ninety seconds after they realized they were trapped time started over again to when they found themselves sliding to the bottom of the gorge. Somewhere a mouse had no interest in jumping on the keyboard next to it.
