CHAPTER FIFTY NINE- Find Her
The Order spent the rest of the evening sitting around the large table Tonks was still unconscious on. Remus Lupin sat holding her hand and nodding absently when he was spoken to. Bill Weasley, refusing to sit, walked around the table and questioned how to get the remaining members of the Order into Hogwarts safely.
By the time midnight came around everyone gave Lupin comforting pats on the back before going off to bed. "Where are we to sleep?" Malfoy asked Harry. "Not sure to be honest, the Room of Requirement may have made you your own bedroom but most of us just go to separate dormitories," he answered. "Try the doors in the hallway by McGonagall. If not, boys are on the left and girls are on the right," Harry said following his friends to the boy's dormitories.
"We'll be staying together. All we need is a bed," Malfoy replied. Hermione was too tired to argue and slowly followed him to McGongagall's hallway. He pushed on four doors that would not open until the fifth one had exactly what Malfoy had asked for- a simple bed barely big enough for two placed in a very small room.
However simple the bed was it proved to be unbelievably comfortable. Hermione had not slept in a comfortable bed in ages and she sank deep into the mattress as Malfoy pulled the heavy comforter over them. "Do you know what tomorrow is?" Malfoy whispered. Hermione was already asleep but he still replied quietly, "Our anniversary."
In the Forest
Snape pulled his cloak tighter around his neck as he crept through the woods. He was unsure if he was in the correct spot until he saw a hooded figure standing in the moonlight. "Severus, you've finally arrived," Voldemort spoke. "I came as soon as I could, my lord," he replied. "It seems the nomads fled in quite a hurry. This old, useless thing did not make it out in time," the Dark Lord said as he nudged a dead man with his foot.
The old man lay on the ground with eyes wide open and a horrible expression on his face. The fur robes he wore were covered in blood and dirt. "Brave until death- he never uttered a word of seeing the young Malfoys or Potter. No matter, I know they were here. Nagini, a treat for you," he said. Snape jumped as the long snake slithered past his legs to enjoy her supper. "Walk with me," Voldemort ordered.
As the two strode silently through the forest Voldemort said, "Potter and the Order of the Phoenix are getting very close to destroying all my little treasures. And you are no closer to finding the Malfoy babe." The tone of his accusation scared Snape. "I am searching for her everywhere," Snape lied. "They did not take the child with them according to my reports from Hogwarts. The Malfoys are at the school-" Snape said before being cut off. "YOU WILL FIND HER," Voldemort yelled as he threw a curse to cut Snape across the cheek.
As Snape clung to his bleeding face Voldemort continued, "I do not have the time to collect Draco and his Mudblood wife and have them create me a new child. I need the little half-blood Isola," he said with disgust. "I am going to Hogwarts before anymore horcruxes are destroyed. Bring me the babe before the sun sets tomorrow or you will watch me destroy the Mudblood girl you seem to hold so dear," Voldemort instructed. Snape's heart began to beat quickly and Voldemort said, "You do not fool me. Bring me her daughter or she dies. We will meet tomorrow evening in the Forbidden Forest. Find me that child," he said as the sun was rising and he disapperated out of the forest.
Snape collected himself and could feel his heart struggle. The only way to keep Harry Potter and the Wizaring World safe would be to keep Isola away from Voldemort. However, in doing so he would be sending Hermione to her grave. Snape weighed his conscious and left the forest, intent on trying to keep his promises
