Chapter 175: Hatchet Knows Best

Once Ratchet pulled into the Autobot base, the first thing Optimus noticed was that the ambulance was quivering with rage. The second thing that all the Autobots noticed was the shriek that was escaping from within, the sound becoming louder as all doors snapped open, allowing three of the human children to scramble to freedom, clutching their ears protectively. Before anything could be said about the fourth and youngest child, the doors slammed shut, muting the ear-piercing sound. Looking to the children that ran to their respective guardians to get away from the sounds of the squealing girl, the Prime sighed and knelt next to his old friend.

"Ratchet..." He began, but was quickly cut off.

"No."

"You have to release Honey eventually."

There was an indignant snort. "Not until she stops and agrees to clean up the mess that she has made out of my interior."

Optimus lowered himself further so that he could peer through the windshield to catch a glimpse of the girl, but stopped short when he saw a smear of red that nearly froze his Energon. "Ratchet, is that...?"

"Strawberry syrup." He groused as Honey took yet another deep breath so that she could release another cry. "There's maple syrup on my radio and blueberry on my door. I don't want to think of what is on my seats."

"Schooooool!" The little girl howled, receiving a sigh from the Prime.

"Ratchet-"

He was cut off again. "Optimus, you assigned me temporary guardianship over this little Pit-Spawn: that means that I am responsible for her. This also leaves me in charge of her punishments, so if I say that she can't go to school until she knocks it off, then she's not going to school until she knocks it off."

With that said, the Medic drove over and parked himself in a corner, hunkering down on his wheels as if to signal to everybody that he wasn't going to move an inch until his demands were met.

"So..." Everybody turned to Bulkhead, and he awkwardly asked, "What's this deal about humans dying without pancakes?"
