Hello friends! Long time no see! I am so sorry it has been this long! I know I know I say that everything but I've been super busy. I just finished my day 22 of a 22 day work stretch so it's hard for me to have time to work on this but I promise no matter how long it takes me I'm not giving up on this story! I didn't have a beta check it or go through it so it might be rough and I worked on it over a long period of time so please be gentle and understanding of me if this chapter sucks haha. Thanks again for being awesome! I love reading your reviews!

Sarah was never fond of James. She could tell something wasn't right behind his intentions with Emma and she always trusted her gut. She couldn't risk revealing her and her family's secret so she had to sit on the sidelines but she tried to help Emma by allowing her to always come stay at their home whenever he would let her. She would do whatever she needed to in order to keep Emma from him but she also knew she needed to tread carefully. Especially with Regina here. She had no idea what James' play was here. She heard the basement door close just as the loud pounding came from the front door. Taking a quick glance at her husband and deep breath in she went for the front door. Taking her time allowing Regina and Ruby time to hide. James was standing there beyond angry.

"Where is she!?" He yelled before Sarah could even fully open the door.

"James, what are you talking about? Do you have any idea what time it is?" Sarah hissed.

"Don't play stupid with me! I know you have her here! That stupid vampire dyke brought her here there's nowhere else they would have gone!" He yelled.

Sarah faltered momentarily at the word vampire coming out of James' mouth.

"Vampire? Are you insane? What are you talking about. Do I need to call the cops? You don't look like you're feeling very well. Jacob, go call sherif Nolan. James why don't you come take a seat a moment." Sarah wasn't too sure her plan would work but it was the only shot she had. She got James to come take a seat on her couch while she went in to the kitchen where her husband was on the phone with sherif Nolan. The only person they could trust in this town. He agreed to come over right away. While Jacob was on the phone with the sherif Sarah began to make a tea. One that would hopefully knock James on his ass. She brought two cups of tea into the room and hoped he wouldn't give her a hard time about which one he took. Luckily he just took the one that was offered to him and Sarah sat down with her own cup across from him. "Now what is all this nonsense about?" Sarah asked him. "It's Emma he started, some lesbian vampire is drinking her blood and putting crazy ideas in her head she turned down Neal's proposal!" He all but yelled. "Neal's proposal?" Sarah questioned hoping to keep him distracted long enough for sheriff Nolan to get there. He launched into the story of how Emma came home and the things that occurred. Sarah found it interesting hearing this version of things. Meanwhile down in the basement Regina and Ruby were trying to calm Emma down and get her to stay as quiet as possible so James wouldn't find out they were down there. "What? A...a vampire..? What is he talking about? Vampires aren't real you teach us about them in class...in mythology.." Emma was rambling trying to process what she heard James yell. "He...he was talking about you..? Wasn't he..?" Emma's eyes grew wide as she began to panic realizing just what was happening. "Em, hey, look at me" Ruby said reaching her hand out and placing it on Emma's knee. She opened her mouth to speak again but Regina cut her off "yes, he was talking about me." Ruby glared at Regina. "Yeah that's gonna help keep things calm!" "Oh my god..but that's not true, right? I I mean..vampires..vampires aren't real."

"No, Em, he doesn't kn-"

"Yes, its true. He was telling the truth. I'm a vampire."

"Aunt Gina, seriously?!"

Emma's eyes went wide and she opened her mouth to yell but it was covered immediately by Reginas hand. Regina looked directly into her eyes and spoke carefully. "Don't yell. You're scared, I know you are. You probably have a lot of questions and I promise you I'll answer them afterwards but for now I need you to stay quiet until your father leaves and we get back upstairs. Okay?" Emma slowly nodded and Regina pulled her hand back.

"D-did you just compel her?" Ruby asked.

"Be mad all you want, Ruby, but it was the best option right now."

Ruby stayed silent because she knew she was right. Before anyone else could speak there was a loud thump that came from upstairs. Regina and Ruby shared a quick glance before deciding it would be best for Ruby to go check it out. Ruby carefully crept up the stairs and cracked the basement door open. "I can hear you, Ruby." It was her mother. "He's out cold. Sherif Nolan is on his way now. It's safe for them to come upstairs." Ruby relayed the info and Regina helped Emma up the stairs and back to the couch where her father was now passed out on the floor in front of them. Regina looked over at Emma and saw the worry on her face. "It'll be alright." They all jumped when they heard the knock on the door. "That must be David." Sarah said as she got up to answer the door. David Nolan was the sheriff in their small town. Him and his wife were part of Sarah and Jacobs pack. His wife wasn't a wolf. She was just a human and it took some time for them to warm up to her but eventually they did.

"Do I even want to know?" He asked as Sarah stepped aside from the door revealing James unconscious on the floor. He laughed and shook his head "help me get him out to the truck." He said to Jacob. "I'll take him down to the station and tell him we found him passed out drunk again. What did you give him?" He asked. "Don't worry, he won't remember he was even here." Sarah replied as she followed David and her husband out the door to his truck.

As soon as they were out the door Emma began bursting with questions. "A vampire? You're a vampire? They're real? That's impossible. You can't be!"

"Emma, I'm sorry, I know this is hard bu-"

"No! No no no no. There's no way.." this time she was barely above a whisper. Regina just sat quietly allowing Emma time to process the information she had received. They sat silent for a few minutes before Emma spoke again. "Show me. Prove it." Regina hesitated thinking about the first time she had found out about vampires. Regina was trying to think of the best way when Ruby jumped in. "Emma, listen to me, I know it's hard to take in but I promise you she's telling the truth. How do you think she got you away from Neal and your father?" Regina just nodded.

"You know? You know she's a vampire and you're just cool with it!?" Emma asked Ruby.

"I've known my whole life, Em. My life isn't exactly the most normal either." Emma just stared at Ruby looking confused. Ruby sighed.

"Emma, I- I'm a werewolf."

Emma just burst into laughter "yeah okay and I'm witch!" Emma laughed wiggling her fingers at them. "You guys can stop trying to be funny and distract me. You don't need to keep up the act."

"Emma this isn't a joke!" Ruby yelled as her eyes quickly flashed to the greenish yellow they take on when she's in wolf form.

Emma gasped and scooted further back onto the couch. Regina sighed in frustration and sat closer to Emma. "Hey, no, you're okay. It's fine. She's still your best friend. There's just a little more to her than you realized." Emma sat there eyes wide, shaking but trying to hide it. She was looking back and forth between Ruby and Regina trying to take everything that just happened in. Her best friend is a werewolf and her teacher is a vampire. Two things that were supposed to not even exist. As her mind tried processing all this information her breathing began to speed up and she could feel herself starting to panic. Regina noticed right away but was afraid to freak Emma out even more. "Emma, honey, just brea-" Emma cut her off. "No! No this isn't possible how is any of this possible!?" Emma jumped to her feet but between the breathing and the traumas from earlier she had moved too quickly and before Emma knew it everything was spinning and her vision started going black.
