gary snaps his fingers, then out of nowhere 5 girls appear behind him seemingly looking like cheerleaders. they all start chanting in unison "gary! gary! gary! gary!"
"hahaha, so then girl, would you like to battle me?" says gary tauntingly
serena takes a step and says "gladly"
before serena can pull a pokeball out of her pocket though ash holds his hand out in front of her cutting her off.
"hold on serena..." he says in a calm voice then steps toward gary lifting up his hat a bit making direct eye contact.
"if you wanna challenge me to a battle gary, official or not, you name the time and the place. I'll take whatever you got"
the two stare each other down for a few seconds, then gary grins slightly.
"heh, maybe I'll take you up on that... but not now. for now I'm gonna enjoy the event and have some fun. I hear there's gonna be a competition in the next few days heh. but anyways, I got places to be so see ya ash" says gary as he turns and walks away with his cheerleader girls following him
"and for the record, I'm gary oak, bitch! ahahaha!" he yells still walking with his hand in the air as if waving while ash and serena watch him leave
as he vanishes from their sight ash sighs slightly and says "some things never change..."
serena then turns to ash with hands behind her back and says "um ash... I'm sorry.."
"huh? sorry for what?" says ash looking at her
"well... I kinda lost my temper back there. I just got mad hearing that guy talk to you like that. I hope... you're not ashamed of me... are you? she says
"oh, haha no no not in the slightest. I commend you for what you said serena. don't let gary get under your skin. me and him used to go back and forth a lot growing up. he doesn't bother me as much as he did when I was younger, cause I beat him in a tournament years ago hehe. but, lets forget all that. c'mon, mom's waiting" says ash waving for serena to come as he turns and walks
serena smiles brightly and says "right behind you, ash" then walks with him
elsewhere in another part of town things were starting to get busier as more and more people lined the walkways. walking through the busy area a girl wearing a black t-shirt, green mini-skirt and a white wool hat looks at a map seemingly lost.
"oh no, I gotta find where I am. I think I'm lost. didn't expect all these people to be here. no need to worry, no need to worry" the girl says to herself
then a young blonde girl with a brown shirt and black half pants appears in front of her stopping her.
"um, excuse me..." says the little girl as the blue haired girl looks at her
"uh well, er... I just wanted to ask if.. well.. you could uh.."
then suddenly the little girl gets on her knees holding out her hand,
"please marry my brother!"
the blue haired girl tilts her head in confusion looking down at her
"eh? marry? sorry, I uh-"
just then an older bronde boy with glass, a blue jump suit and a backpack runs up to the little girl a bit annoyed.
"ohhh bonnie, again? how many times have I told you not to ask people that in public?!" says the boy
"awww, but brother if I don't get you a girl then who will?" says the girl
"not you!" says the boy
then a long robotic arm comes out of his backpack and grabs the girl by the back of her shirt. he then walks down the walkway dragging the girl along.
"aww c'mon clemont, I almost had one!" says the little girl dragging her feet along
as the two walk off into the crowd the blue haired girl stands there watching.
"wow.. that was an odd moment"
she shrugs then turns and walks the other way.
"sorry, but I have no intention of marrying another. my heart... only belongs to him" she says to herself holding her fist to her chest.
later ash and serena have finally arrived at ash's house. ash walks up to the door and knocks while serena stands behind him. he knocks about 7 times and yells "hey! it's me!"
"coming!" yelled a voice from inside
the door opens and ashs mom looks out. seeing ash she gets a look of overwhelmimg joy on her face.
"ash, it's you!" she says happily
"heh yup, I'm finally home" ash says with a smile
delia goes out and hugs ash as he hugs her back then says "my ash, it's been so long. oh how I've missed you, and just look at how much you've grown!"
"haha yeah, and not only that but I've gotten strong too" says ash as they pull away clenching his fist
"yes I see" says ashs mom smiling "oh, and pikachu looks much stronger too"
pikachu hops on ash's shoulder and says "pika pii!"
delia smiles then says "well come on in, everyone's waiting"
delia then notices serena standing behind ash.
"oh, and who's this? a friend?" asks delia
"oh yeah. mom, this is serena" says ash looking back
