"no... sadly I haven't.." says stephan hanging his head in disappointment
"oh..." says ash
"ah well, I'll get em eventually haha. but really, congrats to you man. this is your day" says stephan
"gee thanks heh. so what brings you out here to kanto? to congratulate me?" says ash
"well that too, but actually I'm here with someone. I came with her to run an errand" says stephan
"oh I see. who'd you come with?" says ash
"my girl. actually it's-"
then the two hear someone yelling at them in the distance. they look and see bianca running toward them.
"Heeeey! Aaaash! there you are! it's been so lon-!"
as she gets close she suddenly trips and falls while running, faceplanting in the grass.
"bianca?! hey are you ok?" says ash
"aw geez bianca, I told you not to run around so much. you tend to fall, you could get hurt" says stephan helping her up
bianca stands brushing herself off and fixes her glasses that have slightly fallen down her face.
"yeah I know but I couldn't help it. oh so you're here too stephy heh heh" says bianca
"of course I am, and... please don't call me stephy in public" says stephan
"hmm? why not? you are my stephy after all" says bianca giggling
"argg... as if people didn't mix my name up enough already..." says stephan blushing a bit and covering his face with his hand
"aww, don't be embarrassed sweety" says bianca wrapping her arms halfway around his body and resting her head on his arm
"hmm... wait a minute you two" says ash
the two look at ash.
"hmmmm... ah! stephan, does this mean that bianca is.." says ash before stephan finishes his sentence
"my girl, that's right. oddly it happened right after the unova league. we met each other again, got to know one another and soon after became a couple. we were naturally attracted to each other, right bianca babe?"
"that's right heh. ash you didn't know? oh thats right, you had already left haha. anyways, yes it was love. I just couldn't resist that rugged face and that muscly build. oooooooh!" says bianca swooning
"hehe but of course" says stephan flexing his arm
"oooh myyy, so manly stephy!" says bianca
"er... o...k..." says ash looking on
"oh yeah, did you make your delivery bianca?" asks stephan
"oh, yup. I just came from professor oak's lab" says bianca
"oh you saw professor oak?" says ash
"yeah, I brought him some papers by request from professor juniper. afterwards I came here to see you" says bianca
"see me?" says ash
"yes, to congratulate you on winning the indigo league finally. soo, congrats ash!"
"haha thanks bianca"
"ooh, I wish I could win a pokemon league like you and stephy"
"hehe you can if you train hard like us. so wanna check out this festival babe?" says stephan
"oh yes, lets!" says bianca as the two hold hands
"well ash we're gonna look around town a bit to see the attractions. catch you later" says stephan
"ah ok" says ash nodding
"byeee ash!" says bianca waving
"see you guys later!" ash says waving back
stephan and bianca both walk away back onto the path with bianca walking slightly ahead. ash watches them leave rubbing his chin.
"heh stephan and bianca, who woulda thought... hmm wait what was I doing?... oh yeah, town square! better hurry!" says ash as he dashes off
a few minutes later ash arrives at town square, an area surrounded by several buildings and a wide open area between them. in this area a large group of people have gathered in front of a wide stage set with a podium and microphone. ash runs up to an older looking man in a black suit and bowtie who is standing behind the stage. this man is the mayor of pallet whom ash recognizes right away. the mayor looks and sees ash coming.
"ah, the man of the hour" says the mayor
"I'm here... you're the mayor of pallet aren't you?..." says ash a bit winded
"why yes I am my boy" says mayor
"I'm not... here too late am I?" says ash
"oh no, you're here just in time for the opening speech"
"hm? opening speech?"
"yes of course. we can't start the celebration without the star can we? now come with me, I'll fill you in"
ash follows the mayor to a small booth with a few people. there they discuss what will take place. moments later the crowd in front of the big stage begins to stir as if waiting for something. then a man walks out on the stage and stands at the podium.
"ladies and gentlemen please welcome the mayor of pallet town!"
a loud applause as the mayor walks onto the stage and stands at the podium.
"hello and good day to all the people of our fine town and welcome visitors from all around. we are here today to give a celebration one of our own. a young man who started his journey years ago with a dream to be the best, a dream that was born right here in this very town. he's traveled the world competing in 6 pokemon leagues, winning the orange, frontier, and indigo championships
