"thank you mr hero! see you later!" says one
"we love you! bye-bye!" says another
"heh no problem" says ash waving back
the girls walk off as ash stands there pondering to himself.
"heh so I have fans now. odd feeling haha" he says to himself
then out of nowhere ash starts to sense something. a rage filled pressure or energy, almost an oppressive aura channeled directly at him. ash looks around a bit wondering what it is.
"huh? what is this feeling? this hate energy?... a pokemon? no.. wait, this is..."
ash turns around to see a person standing there glaring at him. clearly enraged their eyes look to be glowing red and they're surrounded by a strong aura that appears to look like flames from a fire. upon closer inspection this person happens to be serena.
"ASH KETCHUM!" she snarled
"ahh! serena, what are you doing here? did something happen?... um, whats wrong?" says ash
"you... you left me at the house. I waited all that time.. then when you didn't come I decided to look for you.. I searched everywhere looking for you.. then I find you, and you're here flirting with groupies?!" says serena furious
"wha? n-no serena, that's not what I was doing! listen, they just wanted-!" says ash then serena cuts him off
"QUIET! you dare betray my trust! I'll have to teach you a lesson, ash!" says serena pointing at him
"whoa whoa, wait a minute serena! just listen to me!" says ash
"it's time for you to... take your punishment!" says serena
she then pulls out a large hammer out of nowhere and steps forward. ash seeing this flinches and backs up.
"h-hey! no need for violence, just calm down! lets talk this out!" says ash pleading with her
as this is going on several people passing by the area see them and stop to watch. one man foolishly walks up to serena from behind.
"oh hey, its kalos queen serena. I knew it was her. hey miss serena, can I get-"
before he finishes serena glances in his direction agitated, quickly turns to him and strikes him with the hammer sending him flying into the sky. ash looks on shocked then realizes he has a chance to get away.
"oh god, that's gonna be me next! waaaa!" he says
ash turns and takes off down the clear side of the path. serena turns her attention back to ash running.
"hey you! get back here! I'm not through with you! come back!" yells serena
she dashes after him with hammer in hand. ash keeps running in fear of being clobbered with serena hot on his tail. the two run through the whole town, up and down the many dirt trails.
"aaaaah! serena, stop this!" says ash
"take your punishment, ash ketchum!" says serena
meanwhile just beyond the town, at the top of a hill that overlooks pallet and leads to route 1, two individuals stand looking over pallet town. a young man and young woman, the young man wearing an all black t-shirt with blue jeans and short purple hair and the young woman wearing a dark red shirt with gray mini skirt and long red hair.
"heh seems as though the town's gotten festive" says the woman
"indeed, looks like someone threw a party and didn't invite us" says the man
"true, but then again... we're not really ones to accept invitations... we show up mostly uninvited. shall we check out this little get together?" she says
"yes, we should. I hear that the celebration was thrown in "his" honor. wouldn't it be something to run into him again. how nostalgic" he says
"hoho indeed. let us go, my dear" she says
"right behind you, my sweet" he says
they then start walking down the hill heading toward town. about 10 minutes later serena walks slowly through an area with nobody around. she searches the area looking for ash.
"damn, I lost him.. where'd he go? grrrr.." she says
she continues to patrol the area. elsewhere in a open spot where few people are walking around ash comes out from behind several vending machines and looks around while catching his breath.
"I think I lost her... phew.. guess I'll talk to her once she calms down... but what to do now?.. hmmm" he thinks as he walks
soon after he is stopped by two people standing in the middle of the path blocking his way facing him. they are the same two seen atop the hill.
"looks like someone's in a spot of trouble" the man says
"yes, and not trouble we caused ourselves. perhaps we can help.. old nemesis" the woman says
in a few seconds ash recognizes them. they are jesse and james, ash's old foes.
"team rocket!" says ash
jesse and james grin looking at ash
"hmmm its good you still remember us after all this time" says jesse
"I can't imagine how we would've felt if you hadn't" says james
"alright, what are you two up to? if its trying to steal my pokemon, forget it. that's never happening. you want a battle? lets battle!" says ash
just then james holds up his hand as if to say stop.
"cool your jets, kid" says james
