"yeah it has been a while hasn't it? oh I'm doing fine, traveling all over different regions and such and competing in a contest here and there but mostly taking care of my pokemon. so how have you been doing since we last met?" says zoey
"I've been doing wonderful. I travel all around just like you do and I've competed in several different regions and many contests. oh hey, guess what? I've won 3 different grand festivals, so I'm a 3 time champion now" dawn says grinning
"ah really? wow dawn that's impressive, congrats! you've finally become a big time coordinator, that's awesome" zoey says
"haha yeah, months and months of hard practice paid off. oh and you? heh, knowing how good you are you probably won just as many grand festivals if not more" says dawn
"oh well actually... since we were last in sinnoh when I won the grand festival there I've only competed in 2 others. I won 1 and lost 1, so I'm just a 2 time champion. you're 1 up on me dawn, haha who would've thought" says zoey
"oh I see. heh guess I am 1 up on you, wow" says dawn chuckling
"yeah, for now heh. to be honest I haven't been in as many contests since I won the grand festival we were in. I'm mostly helping out senior candice back in snowpoint city and helping... other people" says zoey looking away shyly
"oh I see now. well that's still cool you know" says dawn
"yeah, so what brings you out this way dawn?" says zoey
"oh yeah, I came here to congratulate ash. he recently won the pokemon league and the town is having a party for him. pallet is his hometown so everyone's excited" says dawn
"ah yeah I remember ash. he is from pallet town isn't he? I kinda forgot, anyway him winning the pokemon league is great. I should go pay him a visit too maybe" says zoey
"yeah heh, so why are you here zoey? traveling through?" says dawn
"oh, yeah actually I am. was just passing through when I heard about the celebration here so I thought we'd check it out for a bit" says zoey
"hmm? we? you're traveling with someone?" says dawn
"oh uh, yeah I am. kinda forgot to mention that, hahaha" says zoey looking away a bit embarrassed
"ahh and who is it? you traveling with candice?" says dawn
"no no, senior has to tend to the gym" says zoey
"oh, well then who are you with?" says dawn curiously
zoey starts to blush a little bit as she turns her face slowly to dawn, rubbing her arm with her other hand.
"well... if you must know... it's my... my... boyfriend" says zoey looking down blushing
"huh?... WHAAAAAAA?! BOYFRIEND?! zoey, you have a boyfriend now?! I had no idea, OMG!" says dawn
"alright, geez. you don't have to shout it all over the town! man, what a little spaz you are" says zoey blushing even more
"oh sorry, was just shocked is all. so who's your boyfriend? tell me, tell me, please?" says dawn
zoey looks up at dawn for a few seconds then smiles and chuckles a bit.
"oh you'll see for yourself.. later on" says zoey
"whaa? aww.. ok" says dawn
meanwhile in another part of town in a wide open field of grass may stands across from another guy trainer. the two are engaged in a pokemon battle that may is in total control of.
"glaceon, ice beam!" commands may
her glaceon hits the opposing trainers' golem with ice beam, a direct hit. the guys' golem falls to the ground, fainted.
"what?! ahhh golem!" says the guy
he runs over to his fainted golem as may stands in place smiling.
"no freakin way! she defeated my 3 best pokemon with that 1 glaceon, and it hasn't even taken damage?! you gotta be kidding me!" says the guy
"heh, I'm not a 4 time grand festival champion for nothing. I happen to be a good trainer too. sorry but this battle is over" says may putting glaceon back in its pokeball
"aggh! return, golem!" he says putting golem in its ball then slumping down in disappointment
"challenge me again once you become stronger" says may as she turns and walks away
as she does a few people who watched the battle looked at her in awe.
"whoa, that girl's amazing" a person says
may continues to walk down a dirt path thats not crowded much thinking to herself.
"ok I had that battle to pass the time but now I gotta focus on finding ash's house. I think it's this way. hope he's there now" thinks may
at the same time misty and iris are both occupied at one of the many food stands in different locations. around the town a few other familiar faces are seen around town doing various things. soon these individuals' paths will meet at a certain spot.
about 10 minutes later ash, just finishing eating a burger, finally makes it back to the front door of his house. he stands in front of it swallowing the burger in his mouth.
"ah, back home. I got so sidetracked that I didn't come right here. hope mom hasn't been worrying about me" he says
he goes to open the door but before he does he stops suddenly.
"wait... I feel like I'm forgetting something... hmmm.."
