"WHACK"
the whack was so loud it could be heard from many yards away. afterwards they enter ash's house where they are met in the living room by ash's mom.
"oh ho I thought I heard someone outside, welcome back dears. I see you found my ash, serena" says delia
"oh yeah, eventually I did. he was, well, goofing off" says serena giggling
"er yeah, sorry I took so long... o-oww" says ash with a notable sized bump on his head from the hammer hit
"huh? ash, you ok? that's an awfully big bump on your head" says delia looking
"yeah I'll be fine, just a little ice should do the trick" says ash holding his head walking in the kitchen
"ok dear, there're some snacks on the kitchen table if you want any. serena dear, would you like anything?" says delia
"oh no thank you, miss ketchum. uh, I'll go help ash" says serena walking in the kitchen
"ok, let me know if you change your mind. oh mimey" says delia
just then her mr. mime walks in from another room.
"mimey, be a dear and please start cleaning the basement for me" says delia
mimey nods smiling then opens a door and walks down into the basement. a minute later ash and serena emerge from the kitchen with ash holding a pack of ice on his head.
"oh there you 2 are. feel better ash?" says delia
"oh yeah, thanks mom. oh hey, where's brock and lucy?" says ash
"oh actually-" says delia
then brock and lucy come walking down the stairs together and walk in the living room.
"ah they've finally come down" says delia
"oh hey ash, I see you're finally back. how'd everything go?" says brock
"oh great, I did the speech and everything and the mayor helped with the rest. then well, I kinda got sidetracked and all haha" says ash rubbing the back of his neck
serena pouts looking at ash and delia giggles a little.
"ah, sounds like typical ash haha" says brock
"heh... oh so you and lucy were here the whole time. hey what were you two doing upstairs?" says ash putting his hat on
brock and lucy look at each other then back at the others shyly.
"well you see, we were-" says brock
"they were making out upstairs, I actually caught a glimse of them too haha. such a cute pair" says delia cutting him off
brock and lucy both flinch and get embarrassed hearing her.
"wha? uh uh, no no. I was just uh, showing her around upstairs. yeah, looking at all the bedrooms and such!-" says brock nervously
he blushes waves his hands quickly as if to deny delia's claim while lucy looks down with her face completely red.
"awww no need to be shy about it. young love is a beautiful thing" says delia holding her hands together
"yes, yes it is hehe" says serena smiling
as brock and lucy blush even more and turn away a knock is heard at the front door. delia looks and walks over.
"hmm, who could that be?" she says
delia opens the door and standing outside is iris.
"oh hello. um, is this ash's house?" says iris
"oh why yes it is, you must be one of ash's friends. please, come right in" says delia smiling
"oh great, thank you miss" says iris bowing
iris walks in the house and into the living room with delia close behind.
"ash, one of your other friends is here" says delia
"oh, hello everyone. I'm iris" she says waving
"nice to meet you" says brock waving as lucy nods
"ah, finally made it huh iris?" says ash
"oh hey ash, glad you're here" says iris walking over to him
"sorry about earlier, I guess we kinda got separated haha" she says
"oh it's ok, it was kinda a big crowd you know. just glad you didn't get lost haha" says ash
"yeah me too heh. too bad, I really wanted to play some of those festival games with you" says iris
"aw no worries, we can play some later" says ash
as the two talk serena looks at them back and forth.
"those two seem tight.. ah, she must another of ash's former traveling companions, and what's this about them getting separated? ash was with her while he was away too? grrrr..." serena thinks to herself
just then another knock is heard at the door.
"oh, coming" says delia heading to the door
she opens the door and smiles seeing misty stand there.
"ah misty, long time no see" says delia
"hello ms. ketchum, good to see you again. is ash here?" says misty
"ah yes, you came at the right time. ash just returned a while ago. come in" says delia
misty walks in the living room and sees everyone.
"hi guys. oh hey brock and lucy, it's been a while" says misty looking at them
"ah hey misty. you're looking well" says brock
"nice to meet you again" says lucy nodding
misty then looks and sees ash who looks back at her.
"oh hey ash, glad to see you're home" says misty with a bright smile
"ah likewise misty" says ash smiling
