"uh-oh, ash might be in a bit of trouble, if this is what I think it is" says brock talking in a low voice
"hmm?" says lucy looking at him
delia then walks over to the group and claps her hands a few times.
"ok then, since it seems everyone is here let's all sit down and have some tea shall we?" says delia smiling
after a couple of minutes everyone in the house has settled in the living room. may, dawn, and misty sit on one couch, brock and lucy sit on a loveseat across from them, serena and ash sit on chairs moved near the living room table, and iris stands up leaning against a wall. as everyone is sipping tea delia walks into the living room from the kitchen.
"hope you enjoyed my tea everyone. some snacks will be ready in a few minutes" says delia
"oh yeah ms. k the tea is fine" says brock
"indeed ma'am" says lucy
"oh perfect hehe. well um since some of us are new to each other why don't we all take turns introducing ourselves? since we'll all be together during the festivities. everyone except you ash dear since everyone already knows who you are" says delia giggling a little
"yes of course mom" says ash somewhat sarcastically
"ok I'll start. my name is delia ketchum, ash's mother. its a pleasure meeting friends of my ash" says delia bowing slightly
"um, pretty sure they all know you too mom" says ash staring at her
"oh well I guess so hahaha" says delia as ash facepalms
"ahem, hello everyone I'm brock. I'm sure most of you know me already but I'm currently running the pewder city gym with my family and working towards becoming a great pokemon breeder... and uh.. boyfriend as well haha. me and ash used to travel together everywhere. the good old days, right ash?" says brock
"yup that's right brock" says ash nodding
"oh, and allow me to introduce you all to lucy. she's the frontier brain of the battle pike also known as pike queen lucy. she's an ace battler, and also... the person I happen to be dating right now. right lucy babe?" says brock looking at her
lucy who was looking away shyly then faced brock blushing slightly.
"y-yes dear brock" she says gazing into his eyes
"oooh I think they're gonna kiss again" says delia
brock and lucy both blush and face away from each other hearing delia say that.
"aww guess not" says delia giggling
"ok who's next?" she says
iris steps forward closer to the group.
"I will. hi everyone I'm iris from unova. I'm the gym leader of the opelucid city gym and future dragon master. nice to meet you all" says iris bowing
"me next? I'm dawn from sinnoh. I'm a top pokemon coordinator and a 3 time winner of the grand festival. hi" says dawn
"oh I'm may from hoenn. I'm also a top coordinator and 4 time winner of the grand festival" says may
"hello I'm misty. I'm the gym leader for the cerulean city gym. I met ash when he first started out" says misty
"haha yeah, me and pikachu were pretty bad off back then, right pikachu?" says ash
"pika pika"
"ah yes haha. well you're last serena dear" says delia
"oh yes.. ahem" says serena standing up
"hey everyone my name is serena and I'm from the kalos region. me and ash traveled together as he competed in the kalos league. even after he left to train we kept in contact with each other for 2 years. I'm also a pokemon performer and in fact am currently the top performer in kalos. my official title is kalos queen" says serena
"kalos queen? wow" says may
"wait, you're THAT serena?!" says brock
"yup, sure am" says serena
"come to think of it I think I've seen some of your performances on tv" says delia
serena smiles and continues.
"and also I'm a pretty good pokemon trainer too, ash can vouch for that. oh... and there's one other thing. ash, go ahead and tell them" says serena
"huh? oh uhh.. ok. tell them what, exactly?" says ash standing up
"you know... about us.." says serena giving ash a slight glare
"oh uh... right" says ash
he then turns to face the others as they look at ash and serena puzzled.
"well you see um... serena and I... for the past couple of weeks... have been... well... going steady with each other..." he says nervously scratching his face looking down
the other girls focus on them with a bit more intrigue.
"going steady?..." thinks dawn
"I mean uh... well..." says ash then serena cuts him off
"in other words, I'm his girlfriend" says serena smiling
silent fills the room for a few seconds as may, dawn, and iris' jaws drop and eyes widen in total shock while misty has a slight look of disbelief. then a collective "WHAAAAAAA?!" is heard.
"w-wait a minute, so you guys are d-d-d-d-d-dating?!" says dawn
"like, boyfriend and girlfriend?!" says may
"yup that's right. bf and gf" says serena holding her hands together
"n-no way! ash how could you?! I never thought he would go and get another girl while I was away!" thinks may
"no no no! I should've asked him sooner!" thinks dawn
