"ash, you me and brock really need to have a guys night out sometime. maybe I could learn a few things from you guys haha" says cilan
"yes, yes! just us ladies men out on the town. sounds great" says brock
"you two really aren't helping the situation!" says ash annoyed
misty and serena continue to glare at each other as they are both being held back.
"you've got some nerve talking to me like that!" says misty
"you started it!" says serena
"let's settle it then, wanna battle?!" says misty
"bring it, bitch!" says serena
the two growl at each other and appear to reach for their pokeballs. just then delia walks in and comes over to them clapping loudly to get their attention.
"now now now ladies. I won't condone any fighting in this house. whatever quarrel you may have please settle it at a later time. understood?" says delia with a smile
"but, she-!" they both say pointing at one another
"understand, girls?..." says delia with a frown slapping a frying pan in her hand
serena and misty look at delia and gulp nervously then calm down as dawn and may let go of them.
"er.. yes. sorry ms. ketchum" both of them say simultaneously
"ah good, much better. oh my, all that commotion made me quite thirsty. I better grab some lemonade" says delia
she walks back toward the kitchen as ash wipes the sweat off his forehead in relief.
"phew, thank goodness" he says to himself
a few seconds later delia pokes her head into the living room.
"oh, ash dear" she says
"huh? what is it mom?" says ash
"I just remembered it's past 1 o'clock, the festival in town should be underway right about now. you and your friends should go and check out the festivities, I'm certain there's tons of fun stuff to do there. you were planning to go there today originally around this time weren't you?" says delia
"oh yeah that's right, it's the start of the celebration. they should be kicking it off now" says ash
"ah sounds like a momentus occasion" says cilan
"yes it is. don't forget ash, this whole thing is in your honor. wouldn't want to miss it" says brock
"haha hell yeah, I know. everyone lets go to the celebration. can't wait to see what they have in store for the event" says ash
"agreed. excitement fills me just thinking about it" says cilan
"I had heard there will be many different games, contests, performances, and even a parade" says lucy
"well what are we waiting for?" says iris
"ok let's go. should be great, right pikachu?" says ash
"piii-kaa!"
"alright! count me in too" says may
"me as well. I love parties!" says dawn
"so, ready everyone?" says ash
a collective "yeah!" is heard and everyone gets excited. as the others are getting hyped for the event serena and misty stare at each other once again with a slight distain. moments later everyone slowly walks out the house and stands on the pathway except for ash's mom who stands in the doorway.
"hey mom, aren't you coming too?" says ash facing her
"oh no, you all go ahead and enjoy yourselves. I'll catch up with you later on, gotta clean up the house and do a few other things" says delia
"oh, uh ok mom. we'll be going then" says ash turning to the path
"alright sweetie, have fun ok?" says delia
"right, later mom" says ash walking and waving
everyone else starts to walk with ash and wave to delia as they go down the pathway.
"bye-bye everyone. take care" says delia waving
as they walk into the distance delia watches them with a smile.
"oh that ash, he's becoming quite the young man. a lady killer just like his father used to be" she says with a giggle
she then sighs a bit and slowly walks in the house.
"ok time to tidy up a bit. mimey, I need the vacuum"
meanwhile in another part of town a large crowd has once again gathered in front of a stage where the mayor of pallet town is giving a speech.
"ladies and gentlemen, in honor of our hometown hero and champion, the pallet town celebration officially.. starts.. now!"
soon after the speech fireworks and confetti shoot into the air and the crowd loudly cheers. around town all the attractions that were setting up before have now opened and the town becomes busier than it has ever been. a minute later ash, serena, iris, may, misty, dawn, brock, lucy, cilan, and burgundy walk down the dirt path heading for a busy part of town.
"wha, no way! so you mean you and ash have known each other since you were little kids, serena?" says dawn
"yup that's right. we went to the same summer camp, I remember it like it was yesterday" says serena
"wow, that's amazing. to think you two would reunite after years of being apart" says may
"yeah, though I did leave pallet and move to the kalos region I had a feeling we would see each other again. then ash came and challenged the kalos league. he didn't recognize me at first but I knew who he was right away. how could I forget?" says serena slightly glancing at ash
