"mime!" says the mr mime
seconds later delia emerges from behind mr mime and stands at the door seeing bonnie and clemont.
"oh hello there dears. may I help you with something?" says delia
"oh uh hi ma'am. excuse me but, is this the home of ash ketchum?" says bonnie bowing slightly
"why, yes it is. this is the ketchum residence, and I happen to be ash's mom" says delia smiling
"ah, you're ash's mom?" says bonnie
"that's right. I take it you're friends of my ash?" says delia
"oh uh yes we are. my name's bonnie and that's my brother clemont over there" says bonnie pointing to clemont
"hello, its nice to meet you ms ketchum. we're ash's friends from the kalos region" says clemont waving
"ah I see, nice to meet you both as well. its always a pleasure to meet friends of ash" says delia giggling
"oh ms ketchum, we wanted to know if ash was here? me and my brother came out to kanto to see him" says bonnie
"oh, sorry no he isn't here right now. you just missed him actually" says delia
"awww, we did? oh man..." says bonnie looking sad
"um might you tell us where he went, miss?" says clemont
"oh yes, he went to the festival grounds with some other friends of his to see the celebration. they should be there for a good while, if you go there and look I'm sure you'll run into ash eventually" says delia
"really? we just came from there, we kinda got lost trying to find this house. oooh man, he was there the whole time!" says bonnie scratching her head
"oh my, dear. that's unfortunate" says delia
"ok great, thank you very much ms ketchum. come on bonnie, let's go back to the festival and catch ash before he leaves" says clemont standing up
"wha?! oooh... ok..." says bonnie reluctantly
"hee hee oh no problem. oh and if you two need anything else feel free to come back here anytime" says delia
"oh ok, thank you ms ketchum" says bonnie as she bows then walks over to where clemont is
delia smiles and waves as bonnie stands nearby clemont. clement looks at his rollerblades checking the final adjustments then puts them on his feet carefully along with his helmet and turns in the direction that they came before on the path.
"ok that should do it. the super powered rollerblades should function normally now. alright bonnie, hop on" says clemont
"wha, again? no way brother, I almost lost my lunch the last time we rode on those things" says bonnie
"don't worry bonnie, that won't happen this time around. I fine tuned the rollerblades and made all the necessary adjustments. it'll be fine, trust me sis. you don't wanna walk there do you?" says clemont waving bonnie over
"agggh fine, but it better work this time" says bonnie walking closer to clemont with an agitated face then gets on his back
bonnie once again holds on to clemont as he pulls the tiny control out of his pocket.
"ok, be careful you two and hope you find ash ok" says delia
"we will, and thanks again" says clemont
"see ya later, ash's mom!" says bonnie waving
"bye bye now" says delia waving back
"ok, here we go!" says clemont
he presses a button on the remote. the tiny gears in the skates rev up then a second later the rocket boosters kick on and the rollerblades propel clemont and bonnie down the path at a manageable speed. delia stands on the porch watching them roll away and giggles to herself.
"wow, so many people here coming to see ash. its incredible, this event is gonna be great. speaking of which, I should go have a look myself. it can't hurt hehe" she says to herself as she then walks in the house
meanwhile the festival taking place around the center of town is fully underway and the areas have become more crowded than ever with hundreds of people having come to take part in this event. everyone there is seemingly enjoying the festivities and ash's group is fully engrossed in them as well as they are all scattered in different spots around the festival grounds. on the northern side brock and lucy are together playing a target shooting game in which they hit the targets to win prizes. brock shoots with a toy gun knocking down several rows of targets and in the end winning a prize, a poke doll in the shape of munchlax. he then turns to lucy who was watching him and hands her the doll.
"here my sweet, a present for you" says brock
"oh, thank you brock. I love it, I'll treasure it" says lucy blushing and hugging the doll
"anything for you, my queen" says brock blushing slightly
lucy looks at brock lovingly then shyly averts her gaze away.
"brock my love, allow me to get you something too" says lucy
"oh? are you sure?" says brock
lucy nods then walks over to the target game and hands the man running it a bill.
"one round, please" says lucy
she proceeds to play the target game doing significantly better than brock did shooting the target much to brock's surprise finishing with a near perfect score. afterwards she selects a prize
