"oh damn it..." says ash
"aww.. I got excited after seeing that first 7, no good huh. oh well, no point in getting gloomy about it. its just a game right? we're suppose to have fun" says iris
"huh?... hey yeah you're right iris. no way am I gonna let this thing dampen my mood" says ash
"that's the spirit ash, let's try it again" says iris
"huh? again?" says ash
yeah, it can't hurt. I've got enough coins for a few more tries, might as well go all in right?" says iris
"hmmm.. ok let's do it" says ash
they both nod then ash walks up to the machine again with coins in hand. soon after they try the slot machine 4 more times, 3 times getting no matches and 1 time matching up 3 R symbols earning them 10 coins. afterwards ash and iris stand nearby the slot machine once again.
"ok, we'll try it one more time. if we don't win anything, so be it" says ash
"right. well at the very least we won back 10 of the coins we used haha" says iris
ash steps forward and puts one of the coins halfway into the slot. he glances back at iris who nods then turns back and inserts the 3 coins in the machine. he slowly reaches for the lever, grabs it and pulls it down once more. as the lever resets the reels start to turn rapidly for a few seconds as ash and iris watch anxiously. after a while ash grabs the lever and pulls again causing the reels to stop one by one. the reel on the far left stops on 7 followed by the reel on the far right also stopping on 7. the two watch the final reel spin in anticipation.
"ah, 2 have landed on 7's! one more left!" says iris pointing
"come on, come on... give me a 7!" says ash a bit nervous
a second later the middle reel stops on a 7 completing the 3 7 symbol match stunning iris and ash. soon after the word jackpot appears on the face of the slot machine followed by a series of bells and horn sounds indicating a jackpot winner. as ash and iris stand with a look of disbelief a mass of coins flood out of the machine. seeing the coins pour out ash runs over to the machine elated while iris jumps up and down in joy.
"yes! yes! you did it ash! you got the 3 7 match! you hit the jackpot!" says iris
"wow, this is incredible! look at all these coins! hahaha awesome!" says ash as he holds his hands out in the mass of falling coins
"yay yay yay!" says iris coming over to ash
"amazing, right pikachu?!" says ash
"pika pika!"
a moment later all the coins from the machine are placed in a sack that was just big enough to fit all the coins. ash kneels next to the sack scooping up a handful of coins and looks at them then lets the coins slide down through his finger into the bag while smiling happily. he stands up and turns to iris who also has a wide smile on her face.
"ash you did it! I knew you would be lucky!" says iris placing her hands on ash's shoulders
"we did it, those were your coins after all" says ash putting his hands on her shoulders
"right!" says iris happily
right after that the two begin celebrating, jumping for joy with each other while still in physical contact.
"we did it! we did it! yeeeeah! hahahahaha!" they say in unison still jumping around together
"ash you're the best!" says iris
"haha well I wouldn't quite say that" says ash
"no it's true, really. you're the greatest ash!" says iris
"well, maybe you're right. I am great huh?" says ash smiling
"yes, yes you are" says iris
"yeah, I'll be a pokemon master and a slot machine master hahaha!" says ash
iris giggles a bit as the two get closer
"you know ash, you're... the greatest boy I've ever known" says iris smiling
"oh yeah? hee hee" says ash
"mm-hmm" says iris
for a bit longer the two hop around in joy then they suddenly stop. they slowly start to realize just how close they have gotten as their hands have moved from each others' shoulders to each others' backs and there is very little space between them as they are almost hugging.
"ah-" says iris
"u-um.." says ash
they both look down briefly seeing that they are touching, then they quickly pull away from each other and face away a few feet from one another blushing.
"whoa... t-that was pretty close" thought ash
"oh no, I can't believe I told him that!.." thought iris
about 10 seconds later iris, still blushing but slightly, turns toward ash.
"um, ash?" says iris
"yes iris?" says ash
"well uh... I really did mean what I said just now.. you are great ash"says iris
"oh.. um.. thank you iris"says ash
iris smiles then takes a step toward ash.
"ash..I was wondering if..we could someday go on a-"
"well well well, look who I found" said a voice
