cilan stops and looks back seeing burgundy has stopped, looking in the distance to the right of them.
"hey, why'd you stop burgundy? what are you looking at?" says cilan walking over to where she's standing
"look, over there" says burgundy as she points in a direction
cilan looks in the direction burgundy is pointing and sees a mass of people huddled around one spot. as the crowd moves around they eventually catch a glimse of serena who is trapped in the middle of the crowd of people.
"see? isn't that that serena girl with all those people around her?" says burgundy
"indeed it is. ash's girlfriend, and it appears she's having some trouble with that crowd over there" says cilan observing serena who seems to have a distressed look on her face
"sooo, you think we should help her out?" says burgundy
"hm, I believe we should. I don't see ash around anywhere, but any friend of ash's is a friend of mine! let us assist her, burgundy!" says cilan
"very well" says burgundy shrugging
the two start to walk toward the crowd, then as they walk by a stand a voice is heard addressing them.
"excuse me"
cilan and burgundy stop and look at the person talking to them behind the stand.
"huh?" says cilan
"you seem like quite a nice couple" says a woman's voice
"but how would you like... to be closer than ever before?" says a man's voice
"ehh?" says burgundy
"wait, you're-" says cilan
upon closer inspection cilan realizes the pair behind the stand is jesse and james, both wearing green wide sleeved jackets over their clothes and sunglasses.
"team rocket!"
"team rocket? who's that? the name sounds familiar" says burgundy
"they're a group of bad guys who steal pokemon and commit crime! I haven't seen them in years though, what a coincidence that they'd show up here" cilan says to burgundy before turning to jesse and james
"what are you two doing here anyway?! if you're here to cause trouble for ash, forget it! I'll stop you myself!" says cilan
"easy there, connoisseur boy. we're here to do no such thing. parish the thought" says jesse
"true, we may have done wicked things in the past but we left team rocket quite some time ago, our days of thievary and crime are over. we've turned over a new leaf" says james
"hmm, is that so?" says cilan in a skeptical tone
"it may seem hard to believe but it is the truth, I assure you. we came here to enjoy the celebration as well as pay our respects to the new champion. nothing more than that" says jesse
"and of course, running this little stand here" says james
"huh? hey cilan, are these guys for real?" says burgundy
"well, they don't appear to be causing trouble or anything... so I suppose we can trust them" says cilan
"ah, thank you kind sir" says jesse bowing
"anyhow, as we were saying before, how would you two be interested in our special item?" says james
"special item?" says burgundy
"this" says james
he then holds up what looks like a tag in strange writing hanging on the end of a string tied in a loop made to go around someone's neck.
"a... charm?" says burgundy
"yes, but not just any charm. this is a special bonding charm. it is said that anyone who wears one will instantly become closer to the one they love most and their bond will grow ever stronger. it's the perfect thing for married couples, or if you're just going steady" says jesse
"indeed, and this is no cheap trinket either, it's the genuine article. a charm that has been passed down for generations" says james
"and if you need further proof that it's legit, take a look" says jesse
then james and jesse reach down in their shirts and reveal the charms they both are wearing around their necks.
"we're wearing some ourselves" says jesse
"ahh!" says cilan
"indeed, we've only been wearing these charms for a short time and already they're starting to take effect" says james
"eh? you mean-" says cilan
"james... my love for you has never been stronger than it is now" says jesse looking at james blushing
"jesse... and I feel myself getting more and more atteacted to you with each passing day" says james blushing and looking at her
after staring at each other for a few seconds the two get next to each other and wrap their arms around one another's backs while staring lovingly.
"you are the one I've waited for my whole life. I was a fool for not realizing it sooner. I am yours, james" says jesse
"I feel the same jess. now that we're together I'll never let you go again" says james
the two then kiss tenderly for a few seconds while cilan and burgundy watch in awe.
"oh my" says cilan
"w-wow" says burgundy wide eyed
pulling away from the kiss james and jesse turn to cilan and burgundy still holding each other.
"there you have it, proof of what the charm can do" says jesse
"so then, would you two like to buy one?" says james
"hmm, well..." says cilan
"I-I'll take one!" says burgundy
"huh? you will?!"
