.
Finland was pointed towards the bathroom when he bought the Finnish version of Neosporin and plenty of band aids, gauze, a new T-shirt, milk, two bottles of medicine, and one Aleve. He strolled down the empty aisles since it was still so early in the day. This pharmacy was open 24/7 and not the most popular place to go visit. So he had this whole place to himself.
As the video logs kept on coming and the information downloading, Finland had begun to feel the trickling spurts of power well inside him. He had only realized it when he picked up the bottle of cold medicine, to only be instantly crushed in his hands. The plastic spurted out the orange colored liquid onto the carpet. Finland could only wear a poker face in light to what he just unintentionally did.
The cashier had seen it and come rushing in with a towel in her hand. Finland quickly mentioned how he didn't realize it had been broken. That perhaps the manufacturer or the supplier may have damaged it on the way to this pharmacy. (These were lies made up on the spot. Good going Finland.)
He was sweating beads off his head as he hoped the girl believed him. She did, as she kept scrubbing at the carpet and sprayed a cleaner on top. While bent down she smiled up at him and assured him no worries. She's just cleaning this vigorously since she just got hired recently and didn't want to get into trouble with her boss.
He laughed it off as he guilty walked towards the bathroom. He muttered a sorry and walked away. Usually, Finland would stay behind to help her but he understood he needed to take in where that enormous strength came from in privacy.
He went into the unlit bathroom and flicked on the light. A whirring fan also started as he turned on the light and with that he slowly locked the door.
Finland stood there for a second. Examining his face as he looked warily at the mirror.
Did he really look like that? And did he just stroll in this pharmacy looking like a madman? He wondered how the girl was able to keep such a straight face after seeing all that blood on his face while he smiled. The thought was so embarrassing he was steaming.
He turned on the faucets to a cold temperature and cupped the rushing water with his hands. He splashed it to his face and started scrubbing. The blood stained water went down the pipe's in a swirl and he eventually dried himself off with the paper towels.
Finland had set down his goodies he purchased on the floor and first took out the Finnish version of Neosporin. Applying it gingerly on the torn skin he continued until it was all covered. He took off his shirt and tried on the standard plain T-Shirt the pharmacy sold. It was a size too big but Finland really couldn't bother with that.
He placed his old T-shirt in the sink and wrung the off a copious amount of blood off. This one of his favorite shirts that he got as a gift from Japan once. So he wanted to keep it despite the stains of pink now.
He put it in the spare bag the cashier lady gave to him.
Looking at himself, Finland felt much better already. He reached down for the gauze then and began to wrap it around his head. It took a while since he realized he didn't have scissors and thus needed to keep wrapping and wrapping until it was done.
Nice one Finland.
As Finland reached down for his beanie in his pocket he found that there was none as it dawned upon him that, his fucking beanie was in the pocket of the jacket he left on the mountain.
Shit.
Finland realized he'd have to buy another hat while he was here. At first, it made him a little sad but then he was glad since he meant to do some shopping for himself sometime anyways.
Oh. I think I saw that one neon green beanie near the beauty department. I should go there next.
Finland held the wrap in place as he bent down to get the bottle of cold medicine and a bottle of milk. He let go of his wrap as it threatened to detangle, but it didn't as it hung sloppily on his face. Finland opened the milk carton and opened the cap of the medicine bottle. He took a hearty gulp from the orange colored medicine. The label had said it was citrus flavor but there was no way in hell what Finland was going to believe that when he started gagging.
"This stuff is so awful...cough* cough* how do the humans drink this?"
Finland quickly took his milk carton and chugged it down in American style as he let out a very refined burp. He set the things down on the sink counter and wiped his mouth with a paper towel.
He started feeling even better for some reason though he knew, it was probably his mind playing tricks on him since he couldn't just heal...that quickly!
With this, he threw out the milk carton. He looked somewhat grateful at the carton quite content that it saved his tongue from that horrifying taste. And he put his medicine bottle in the bag again. He opened the bathroom door and shut off the lights.
He began to walk in the beauty department when he saw the cashier there as well. She looked a little stunned as she meekly laughed it off.
"Oh hey there again. You look much better...though...I think you need to buy some tape to keep that on hold?"
Finland passed her as he replied, "Ah...mmm. Yeah! I'm just looking for the hats. I thought I saw one around here. Do you know where they are?"
The girl smiled as she coyly remarked, "For sure I'd know! I work here 7 hours a day! It's right behind the huge teddy bear. Right around that corner."
"Thank you."
"No problem it is. I'm just here looking at some potential new buys. Been meaning to try this lipstick color for some time."
Finland paused as he went back.
"Which one?"
"This one!"
Finland took the lipstick from the stand and began walking towards the hat section.
The cashier girl was a little confused but remained silent. She looked back to the lipstick section and continued to wonder if she should buy it or not. It was 25$ and a little pricey so she contemplated even further. She broke from her concentration when she faintly heard Finland call out for her.
"Excuse me?"
"Miss, I'm done with my orders! I'd like to make some purchases."
The girl ran up to the front of the store and went behind the desk.
"Ah sorry! Will these be all your orders?"
Finland chirped, "Yes!"
She rung them up and said, "That will be 33.95."
Finland gave her his black credit card as she looked at the card surprised.
"Whoaaaaa. You have a black credit card? Aren't those hard to obtain?"
Finland smiled as he said, "I wouldn't really know. My boss gave it to me to use so, I use it every now and then."
She stopped herself from gawking more at the black credit card and finished ringing up the items.
"Well, here you go! I hope you feel better!"
Finland nodded as he reached in for the neon green beanie. He put it on, concealing the wrap.
He sheepishly asked, "Do...do I look better?"
She happily nodded while stating, "500 double watts better."
He smiled and he reached in the plastic bags again when he pulled out the lipstick.
He gave it to her as he said, "This. This is for you."
She blushed as she immediately went into rejecting this.
"No! no, I can't possibly take this! I really appreciate it! B-but thank you so much for your consideration. However, I can't take it!"
Finland left the lipstick on the counter and said, "Well, I'll just leave it here. So if you don't want it, you can give it to someone else. Though to be honest, I think this shade would fit perfectly on you. ;3"
She blushed again as she awkwardly took the lipstick now and put it in her purse by her legs.
"U-u-ummmmm, than-kkkk-y-y-ou..."
He gave her one last smile as he walked out the pharmacy. Finland had felt good making one of his citizens happy. He hadn't mingled with them for a long time since he was just always stuck with his nation family. Though meeting others too...wasn't a bad thing.
Finland went into a small alley as he began to shiver. It really was still cold. He really should get his jacket and tail it back home. So with the thought of only seeing his jacket he whispered, "Nation Jump towards that bloody jacket!"
Within 2 seconds he plopped face downwards into the snow again. He got up gasping. Seriously. Today was the "Bro fo real realest Finland smacks into the snow day" day.
Finland looked like a ghost as he made a mental note to be sure to not even play in the snow for a long while. Finland looked around to see his jacket a little further up.
So I wasn't that close this time when jumping... I probably need to concentrate more.
He walked upwards until he reached the jacket. Even if it was damp he put it on. Then he closed his eyes again. He would nation jump one more time. Back to home!
"Nation jump...home."
Finland fell on top of his living room sofa falling at a weird angle. He hit his rib as he cursed fiercely. Susan came in running in with her tail wagging as she welcomed her owner home.
Finland held his gut as he tried to smile.
"H-h-heyyy...S-s-susan, my sweet puppy. How are you? I misseddddd y-y-you t-tooooooo~" He pet her head as she closed her eyes. Her tongue hung out as she barked, "arf!" and went back running towards the kitchen.
Finland quietly curses himself for putting himself through all this pain today for some reason. He then sat on the reclinable sofa as he let himself relax.
Finland took off his jacket and drowsily dropped it to floor. He didn't care if the floor would get dirty. Not that anyone would visit him anyways. Everyone was so busy. So Finland at least felt assured he could clean his mess later on.
The medicine was making him sleepy. But before he could nod off, a new image was resurfacing from the distance.
"No shit. Another video log. When are these things going to end already? Ahhhhhh. I feel not great again..."
And so another Video log commenced.
.
.
Video log 4:
Finland 2 was in an office building this time. The building overlooked a beautiful city he couldn't quite pin to be. The office wasn't lit and dark. However the little light that came in, came from the shining lights of the city buildings. Finland 2 looked tired even though he looked dashing. Finland could even tell this in the darkness. Finland 2 was wearing a black suit and a black tie he looked ready to go to some benefit event. Finland was standing up while on looking the city.
Finland 2:
"Yo, Future me. Finland here. ^u^
First off...how are you? Are you okay? I hope you're doing fine. I'm doing fine too. This world is quite...interesting. Things...are always happening here so it's been a very active place to live.
I've been here for a while and it's a good place to live. My only concern are the bosses in this world... and...our nation friends. Though I wouldn't be able to call any of them friends really this time around.
Well about the bosses, a few of them have gone missing even before I got here. There is still a search going on for them...but...no one has any clue where they are.
Anyways... As you can see...I'm not smiling...as you already know. So I'm not going to bring it up. I'll just have to say, that it is up to you to save America.
I could not again.
I'd rather not bring up the details. I wasn't here when it happened. You'll see the memories of that later on. So that is that.
Oh yeah, I didn't bring back past world's Denmark with me. He'd surely get himself killed.
I...
I was actually almost killed.
I actually had an encounter with someone definitely affiliated with the party of enemies that we have.
He wore a black long sweater, turtle neck style, and tan khaki pants. White socks...and sturdy shoes. I only know they are sturdy cause he kicked me in the face and broke my nose. Can you see the scar on my nose? Well, maybe you can't since I'm wearing makeup on it right now and it's dark. It's only dark because I don't want anyone passing by to see a light near the bottom of the door. You have to be...on your toes...in this world.
I have to go to an event today as well which is why we look great? Don't we?
Apparently the bosses of this nation...are going to make a world unification and dispel all the nationalities.
So...I have to attend because who knows how's that is going to go. I'm not even sure what that really means and what implications it'll have for us...so I'm sure I just gotta watch and see for myself. I'm sure something else will happen today. That's just how things go in this world. I'm armed and ready just in case."
Finland 2 looked very cold and stern. As he showed off a magical spear that came from no where.
"Isn't this cool? We can manifest weapons now. I found that ability in the book of rules and laws. That's what the magical book is officially called. Even though, it's funny if you think about it. Since it's magic~
Well, the spell you have to say is, "Venir Arma." Which in Spanish translates to "come, my weapon." You can think of any style. Any weapon will be equipped with this red bright transparent stone. I think this stone is made of blood. But that's only my theory. Who's blood though?
...
Am I scaring you yet? Hehehe. Anyhow...I met up that that person...the khaki wearing pants person. He was going to kidnap Italy for some reason at a party I had gone to. Italy was the only other nation there since it was a human party. But then...I just saw him...the brown eyed jerk. He walked in the place like he owned it and as soon as he lifted up his hand I just knew he was going to do magic. I magic a spear and throw it at him. He manages to fly into the air and suddenly he was almost at my throat. His boot literally planted itself onto my face and it was a grand mess Finland. It really was. I yell at him demanding if it was him who was killing America and he just...smirked at me.
The only thing he said is ,"Interesting. I didn't know there were others who could jump. I'd never think it'd be you... Finland." He then falls through the floor. I am not kidding. He just vanishes. I think that is his version of nation jumping though I'm sure...I'm sure that he is human...or at least I think so? So...why is someone like him using our powers? How is that even possible? I had to magic myself out of there with Italy. So he is safe.
My concern is just that. Who was that guy and is he important?
u-u I don't know. Though, I'm sure I'll find out.
There isn't much to say on anything else. This world so far...I happen to hate the most. The atmosphere here between the nations is ...like being in a hard place and a hard place. No one is truly friendly to each other. Everyone was just battling each other for domination. It was only until the super power Turkey declared that perhaps everyone's borders should just be dissolved. And that was when the fighting and bloodlust suddenly stopped.
So...this world is better off now. Though...I feel something ominous in this land. Nothing is clear yet.
Anyways, here are the spells:
"Venir Arma"...you just say once and whichever weapon you think of will appear. You can make it go away with the flick of your right wrist. Otherwise it'll just float until ...I'm not really sure actually?
And oh yes! Do you remember that I told you there was another spell that was a part of a spell in the previous world? The paged was ripped out but it came back again in this world's book!
It's called Alma logging. This spell took up like 5 pages of the book so, this is in essence, the BIG spell.
Here we go.
First off...please practice this with someone else around you. If you fuck up, at least the other person can bring you back. Just saying.
Alma logging works with the spell Venti secondus. You have to be alma logged first in order to initiate Venti secondus.
It's for us nations first off especially. And it's our remedy to fight off permanent death.
How you ask? Well that's the cool part! :B
You can be either: on the brink of dying, or healthy. Either way works. Though what doesn't work is if you are already dead. So it's a good action to use Alma log before you die, if you are planning to die. Lol. It's a joke. No one wants to ever die...
Anyways.
All you have to do is have an object near by and you just say, "I want to alma log into here." And that's it.
It's so simple!
And in order to get out of the object and back into your body, the object has to be on top of you or touching you. Sounds strange right? In that manner, the part of your soul that is in the object can transfer back into your body and call out to the rest of your soul still lingering in the world. Then you wake up and are alive again!
When you Alma Log though...you're in essence going into a coma. You're kind of dead but also alive. It's a weird mixture. Your not breathing but your time sort of stops? Like...the time of your body. However this only works if the object is on you. If the object you Alma Logged into get's lost and is far away from your body...your body can still continue to decay.
The way you can fix that is with Healers. You'd need one around so they can heal your dead body and repair tissue and so forth. That way, when it is time to transfer the soul back into the body, you'll be okay.
Please bare with me on this one Finland. It's going to get a lot more complicated.
When you are Alma Logged, in sense the Soul within the object can also travel away from the object. So...you're like a ghost. It's the ghost that can then use the spell "Venti Secondus." When the ghost seeps out of the object, a part still remains. So the ghost can know where to return to. The ghost with igniting the spell Venti Secondus, regains 20 seconds of realism. Meaning you can use a part of your body or your whole body and manifest it into reality again. It can be your whole body manifested from the nothingness into something firm and real... or something like a voice that everyone can hear. Or you can manifest your hand and push someone out of the way. Or manifest just your foot and kick someone? The ghost itself is still a whole when you just manifest a part.
The ghosts are see through but if you are a magical user, you can easily sense and locate the ghost or the Alma Logged nation.
Am I confusing you yet?
A special circumstance I read in the book is this. Like if your Alma logged Item get's lost, or buried or destroyed, the particles will still be there so long as it doesn't dissolve into the ocean or something. As a ghost, in that situation, you can either go to heaven and move on...
... or you can roam through people's daydreams and dreams. You can keep on doing that for the rest of your life apparently...though...why would you want to?
x]
Oh yes. IN this situation, if you don't want to be just stuck in people's daydreams and dreams, if the particles are still relatively in the same area of where the item was destroyed or something, you can make a deal with the Rule maker and discard 5 years worth of precious memories.
Yeah. It's kind of a heavy price. We don't make precious memories all the time and maybe we only make 20 precious memories in a year or more. It really depends on the nation. All in all though...You'd have to discard around 1000 precious memories or so...
...
Y-yes...t-t-to destroy that many...it's such a heavy price to pay.
...I'm sure...that it'd destroy a significant part of your personality since your current personality is made up of your past decisions and memories. So in essence, it's like you'll become someone else entirely even though you are still you. So you'll have basic similarities but to your mind, it would have been as if you hadn't gone through those days. Things and reminders will still be there... the book said, but like I said...the not most significant memories. u\\\u
I'm against this part of the Alma Log spell for that very reason. It's be generally much better for everyone, to just bypass this circumstance and never use it. It'd But spare you and others who love you from that pain. Since I'm sure that it'd also tear at the hearts whom you made the memories with.
After you discard your memories, the Item is remade again and you can bring it to wherever your body. Even if it is across the whole world. So that's a plus. You can be brought back. Though...would you really want to be brought back again in that state?
That is why magic is very tricky thing. It's not the answer to all your problems or a solution at all if you want. It has so many limitations. But magic is powerful too, if used correctly.
Now another thing is, if you are in your Alma Logged state, can the "ghost you" travel to other worlds? Apparently, we don't know. Though I'm going to give it a try a little later. Since I can't trust anyone in this world enough to have them...actually put me back into my body.
It sucks. :v
So Alma logging comes with a lot of set backs.
I think the biggest error with this spell is that any magical user can Alma log anyone. So I'm sure whenever there comes a time for our nation friends to know...we'd have to set up some sort of law. Like to only use Alma Logging in situations of self defense or something. Cause if anyone went bent crazy, all they'd have to do is look at you and say Alma log and you'd be down for the count. They could take the object they put you in and burn it for all I know. So...kind of scary spell~
That's why I find this spell very conflicting to your natural rights as an alive being. That is why I hope we can set the use of the spell up in a time where the magical users are kind and honest. So these violent mishaps won't occur. It would be a very terrible world...if we let things go awry.
Furthermore, I've tried using this spell on humans and it doesn't work. So it only works for us Nation states. At least, that's comforting to know right?
And one last thing. The set back to Alma log is that the user has to dream first. So the ghost is in the object sleeping until it realizes he or she can wake up. You may end going through a whole Alma Log just inside the object and never realizing you can step outside it and Venti Secondus or travel in people's dreams or daydreams.
That's enough about Alma Log. Though I think that this spell holds the most potential. With this spell...had I known before...
I could have saved America from the last world. :c
I hope! That we can use this for the next one! I learned this only about a month ago. So...bummer for me to learn this after America died again, isn't it?
I think the universe is playing a mean trick on me. But at least now, the fighting chance has gone up one more meter.
Oh. It's already 8 O'clock. I have to be going to the meeting benefit. I hope it won't be eventful and rather boring. So unification huh?
It sounds interesting.
The other spells, you'll see in the information downloading to you. I think I'll put them in files so the information won't have to be as difficult to understand. I may or may not set up an asking feed. Like...a copy of my intelligence and so when you ask something, a reply can be written in your mind.
Would that sound cool? Or is that just too sci-fi fantasy? Lol. You know I don't think I've watched a movie in about 3 worlds? I should really get on that if this world doesn't go to chaos.
...
I'm...
Sorry in advance for the painful feelings. Are you in pain to see me this way? I'm awfully cold and bitter now. It truly was asking for too much to remain kind and gentle. I see pictures of myself that I brought with me along the way and I still can't get over the fact of how different my smile looks. I wonder...if I'll ever be able to smile like that again?"
Finland 2 took out from his pant pocket a old worn photo book. He held it up to the screen and began to flip the pages.
In the photo book with a cat and dog picture on the cover, Finland 2 was with the Nordics smiling and laughing. There was one picture with America as they both smiled with arms around each other in some spring like place. There were other pictures of the other nations like Estonia and Russia posing for the photo. And the last photo was a big picture of all the nations huddled in one big photo shoot. The last picture looked official as everyone was wearing their ethnic clothing and none smiled. But even so Finland 2 enjoyed that picture the most. It contained the world he left behind many times ago. A world he hoped to world jump back to and the main reason he wanted to keep going forward. America was in that picture. Even though, for Finland's 2 world, America wouldn't be there when he traveled back.
That America dissolved into the wind and towards the sky of their memories.
When Finland 2 reached the end of the photo book, he was shocked to see something written on the back of the booklet. His face burned red as he just couldn't believe.
"Holy crap. Denmark! You! YOU IDIOT."
Finland 2 just looked up towards the ceiling as if he was torn. He didn't know whether or not he should cry or laugh. So he ended up bypassing crying all together and went straight into hysterical laughter. He laughed and laughed. He held his gut and motioned to the mental camera, to give him one minute.
After what seemed, not a minute, a long time passing- his laughter ended. He sighed and smiled.
"Wow, I'm sorry for that episode. I just...can't believe what an airhead the past Denmark was. Holy crap. It turns out...it turns out he scribbled with a red sharpie, "I hope that your sunshine can stay the same Finland! You owe me one large beer when you come back. Let's get smashed when it's all over!"
"Like...can you fucking believe this Denmark just scribbled all over my precious memento?"
Oddly enough Future Finland gave a Denmark like smile as he continued happily, "...I'm actually...kind of happy he did. I feel relieved.
So...again...
Onwards to the next world. :]
And when it's all over, let's sock Denmark on the back of the head. xD
Oh man, I'm super late for the meeting now! See you Future Finland!"
Finland walked towards the camera and closed it. The image of his slick hair and his suit really showed that it was very expensive. The scar on his nose became more apparent as there was a slight bump right on the tip top of the bridge of his nose.
And the image faded away to a dark grey and darker until it became black.
.
.
Finland woke up to find that it was now night time. The house was dark except for the kitchen. He always left a night light there just incase he wanted to come down for a drink of water or something.
He instantly regretted realizing the new smell he was smelling.
Susan had peed on the jacket. And a puddle of wet peed just sat there stagnant next to the jacket.
He had completely forgot to take her out in the end. She had stayed inside all day.
He truly was the worst owner and as he quickly jolted towards the door, he had meant to unlock the knob. Instead the knob flung straight backwards as he absentmindedly let it go and it crashed into a innocent mirror on the ground. The mirror shattered and sparkled onto the floor. The front door swung harshly open due to the fast swerving winds and Susan happily ran out the house. Finland really couldn't understand how his palm had went on his face. It was a natural face palm and he didn't even realize he was doing it until he felt his hand on his nose.
This new super strength would be awesome to master. Unfortunately for now, Finland just had to deal with like the bro he is. What shocked him more than anything was the sight now before his eyes. A man covered in furlike clothing was walking towards the path where the car would usually drive in. The moon was out tonight thankfully. Or else Finland wouldn't have been able to be alerted of the intruder at all.
The winds were fierce as the faraway figure kept walking forward.
What Finland was feeling, wasn't alarm. It was a mixture of something else but quite similar. For the most part, the imagery of the bad guys being in "his" world seemed like a faraway impossibility. It had happened to this Finland who he met in his dreams for the first time today. And truly it had been the longest day Finland could have ever even imagined to live through. So Finland immediately tensed up. He was forced to understand that those images he had been seeing all day, wasn't just a faraway thing. It was happening for real and it could start happening to this version of himself- right now.
Could he...be someone I don't know? Someone...like my enemy?
Adrenaline rushed through his veins and this urgency of alertness was so foreign to this Finland. It seems as if the memory muscles of the past Finland's were activating in his body, which is why it felt so very real and tingly.
Instantly, Finland jumped forward brushing against the wind and kept flying until he was a mere 10 feet away from the covered man. The man had been holding a blanket of stuff when he dropped it all to the ground. The man covered with a cream colored fur then lowered his hoodie.
Finland, who had been in a fight like stance profusely reddened even though he was sure that the man couldn't see it. It was Northern Ireland who just stood there as he tried to talk.
From Northern Ireland's point of view, he had been climbing up the mountain towards Finland's home since his car broke down. He had been sight seeing when he thought he'd give Finland a visit. But the car broke down so far away. North looked back towards the city and to the top of the mountain. It would be a honest to God pain if he decided to go back down. So he went for going upward.
It had taken him 2 hours or so, to climb up the mountain on foot. He was just so grateful that he wore such warm clothing. His mystical creatures of the land had installed a warm spell in the fur so, it was like a miniature heater. The trip took longer because he didn't want to leave the groceries he just bought- to spoil in the car. So it was very surprising when he saw a strange lilac purple like aura ignite and to see that thing zoom even closer to him. He stood in place not sure what to exactly do. He himself couldn't use that much magic. His mythical creatures were such prankster and elusive little tykes when it came to revealing any helpful spell that the Northern Ireland could use.
So when it turned out to just be Finland... he dropped all his things and took his hoodie down.
Finland looked surprised in the addition of being totally relieved.
To North, he was truly surprised as well as he was the first to shout in the wind, "Finland! You can use magic!?"
Finland put his hand to his head as he half heartedly giggled, "Ahahahaha..."
North didn't lose a beat as he asked Finland to please help him carry the stuff he dropped into the snow.
"My car broke down...and I had all this stuff. And I was planning to crash at your place anyways... Wanna help me carry back this stuff?"
Finland registered what was finally going on and gladly helped. They both trekked up the mountain in the darkness lugging all the stuff, when they finally reached the front yard of Finland's home. By this time, Finland regained back his cold as he sneezed a bunch of times. Since the door was open, Finland just walked tiredly right in and plopped down onto the sofa near the bloody jacket. North placed the stuff on the sofa opposite to Finland, as Susan who was already inside, came running down the stairs towards them. She was happy to Finland again and this strange new fellow. North squealed, "Ah, hello puppy! Long time no see right? Like a couple of decades now? Good thing you live forever like we do~ Oh yes, do you like cheese?"
North looked for a packet of cheese and unwrapped the block. He bit a chunk of it off and then gave it to Susan who happily obliged.
Finland got up realizing the door was still open and letting in all this undesirable cold air. He kept trying to close the door but it kept flinging itself open. North was taking off his jacket when he cursed loudly.
Finland turned and asked what was wrong.
"Finland! Why is there a bloody jacket on the middle of your floor? And is that pee? Why is the mirror shattered? Were you robbed?"
"... Yeah. I...had meant...to clean that up. I mean No! I wasn't robbed, lol don't worry! But time just took the wind out of me and I had no time to clean anything. Can we talk about this later? I just really feel like lying down right now." Finland fell into the other sofa and just relaxed. He gave up trying to close the door. There were more important matters, like this rising headache and fever.
North put a nearby stack of books that were on the floor and placed them in front of the door. That held the door in place. As for the hole where the doorknob was, North jammed his scarf through it and suddenly the heat was regaining it's power. It had been seeping out of the house already for who knows how long.
The house was super chilly as Finland began to sweat again from the new coming fever. North had gone into the kitchen and with his groceries made some soup. Since there was no meat in the house, he used his tuna cans instead and pour them in. He also made a brew of tea and brought it to the sick Finnish. Finland thanked North and went quickly to sipping it. Finland was having difficulty in holding his cup. He didn't want to apply so much pressure it would break. So he just barely held it but it felt like it could fall out at any moment, so it just looked like Finland was shivering with his cup. North turned off the gas and took out the plates from the cupboard above. He poured in the soup and had to look for the utensil cabinet, and after the 4th try, had found it. He then strolled into the living room and placed a mat on Finland's lap and the bowl of soup on top.
Finland was so grateful for this treatment that he only beamed and smiled. Being attended really was the best part of his whole entire day. It had been such a mess and the longest day possible. So to not have any more worries or mishaps relieved Finland to the core.
North set down his bowl on the opposite side where the junk of stuff was. He made a space and before he sat down remembered he should do some other things before really sitting down.
He got up again with a sign and a slight frown as he got into cleaning mode. He got the broom from the kitchen and came back to the living room. He brushed the shattered glass to a corner of the room and left it there in the meantime. He picked up the jacket with no hesitation and asked Finland where he should leave it?
Finland turned back and said, "Go downstairs and the light is to your left near your shoulder. There should be a hamper right in front of you then. Just...put it in their. I'll deal with that later."
And so North nodded and did what he was told. Finland faintly heard the click of the light go on and then off. Then the climbing of steps. North resurfaced as he went back towards the kitchen and this time came out with Fantastik, a roll of paper, and dragging the trash bin as well. He dried the pee and blood mixture on the floor and chucked it in the trash. He then sprayed furiously the spot where it had laid. Luckily for Finland he had finished drinking his tea and the soup for the most part. He sneezed again when he smelled the detergent like smell. Finland looked towards North's bowl as it laid uncovered. Finland wanted to reach for it to cover it before the Fantastik particles reached the bowl. Finland unconsciously whispered "Parei" and to his surprise, there then was a bubble like shield covering both the tea and the bowl.
Finland froze and couldn't believe he just did that for the very first time. North had finished already cleaning and dragged back the bin and broom back to the kitchen.
North then promptly came back and plopped himself down on the sofa. He looked at what Finland was intently looking at and he asked, "Hey. Can you pull down your shield? I'm kind of starving now."
Finland looked at North desperately, "B-bbut I don't know what I even d-did?"
North sighed as he said that it was alright. North said, "Parei absolutus" and the shield popped as if it were an ordinary bubble. He picked up his spoon and began to eat the soup casually, not registering Finland's increasingly incredulous expression.
"Like...how did you do that?! " Finland gasped.
North still drinking the soup halted and gulped it down.
"Well... It's nothing unlike you know. It's just simple magic. You put up a barrier and I just took it down. Plain and simple."
"But! You knew how to use magic?"
"Typically."
"I just learned today!"
"Oh. Wow. Congrats?... Did it hurt like fucking hell?"
"YESSSS!"
"Then yup, you definitely learned magic. I learned by the mythical creatures of my land. Well...Ireland's land. It wasn't till a couple hundred years ago when I gained this purple blue hue on the right side of my eye that I started...seeing. That's why I have two colors of eyes. Though I guess... you wouldn't know since Ireland is usually the one to go to the meetings. And I really only go a few times a year so..."
"I had always wondered why you had two different colors of eyes. I thought they looked very interesting."
"R-really? Gosh, thank you. I'm self conscious about how they look like."
"For looking so awesome?"
"No...for looking so weird..."
"Well it's not weird and to be frank, us using powers belongs much higher on the weirder scale."
Northern Ireland laughed and agreed. He finished drinking his tea when he felt true relief.
"Finlanddddddddddd! You had no idea how cold my feet were! Like I only had the magical warm spell casted on my jacket so...I can't feel them anymore. Ahaha."
"!"
"No don't worry. Don't get up. I'm fine now." ^\\^
Finland looked relieved as he then said warmly, "Thank you for cleaning up. You did it all rather quickly that I was kind of surprised. ...Did the blood and pee not phase you?"
"Finland...when you've seen what I've seen...those things don't even compare."
Finland yelled, "THEN WHAT HAVE YOU EVEN SEEN?"
North leaned in real close and whispered, "The mythical world. o_9
Some mythical creatures...they eat poop for heaven's sakes. And one time, they almost forced me to eat it as well. There was even one instance...when a troll...applied Unicorn pee...
... on his face...
AS A LOTION.
...
...so I'm telling you...
...the things I've seen really don't compare to this."
Finland paled as he replied, "Oh...I see...wow..."
"Yup. Anyways just leave the plates here. I'm going to sleep. Is your spare room still on the 2nd floor to the immediate left?"
"Ah, yes-yes. I've just washed the covers since Sweden was here recently."
"Awesomeness. Night dude."
North took his tea cup with him as he walked up the stairs.
Finland heard the door close shut as he then sank more into the sofa.
This day truly had been one epic day in the making. Though it wasn't the awesome epic. But rather the epic-ness of sheer embarrassment and mistakes. Finland was happy though. The kindness that Northern Ireland had shown him, even when they both didn't get together very much... It was so very nice.
Finland mulled over watching North sweep the floor and cook the food. The food was rather quite delicious. He'd have to ask for the recipe.
And so he got up and went towards the kitchen. He quietly put away the pot in the refrigerator since he was too lazy to pour it into other containers. He turned up the heat on the thermometer before going up the stairs and quietly climbed the stair. He had to skip over one step that always creaked. He really needed to fix that.
He passed Northern Ireland's room and continued up the 3rd stairs. There Finland opened the door and truly fell towards his bed. Finland wondered where Susan was mildly, since the door was closed. But he couldn't think any further and went to sleep, forgetting to put the covers on him.

Author's Notes: I really hated writing this chapter. I really hated editing this chapter. But it must be done. Hopefully soon we will totes get out of this arc. I kind of am regretting a lot of things now. I'm not even sure how to introduce another arc here. It just doesn't work writing chapters far off into a later future and then...trying to find a way..to connect it all back. :m Like dying* :3 It'll be a couple more chapters until we get to the present world and the present time. Since this Finland is still from a year ago. Sigh* Anyways, thanks for reading and if you guys comment that would really make my days! :DDDD
*w^ Thank you~
