Hey guys. Sorry it took almost a month to get this next part up. I'm busy moving and haven't had the chance.
Please enjoy :)
I don't own Naruto it belongs to Masashi Kishimoto.
I threw on my clothes and made my way out the door. I wasn't sure where I was going, I just needed air. I don't have a job, I don't really need one, I live off the inheritance I received when my dad died. He was a big deal and had a lot of money so I'm pretty much set for life. I just go out, party and forget.
Before I knew it, I was already in the centre of town so I walked into the nearest shop to get a drink. I grabbed a coke and made my way to the till.
"Hey. Long time, no see." A voice came from behind me and I immediately turned around. It was Gaara.
"Oh...hey..." I didn't know what to say. He was the one who got away. I thought I was going to spend the rest of my life with him. It ended badly, things happened and he left. That was two years ago.
"You look well." He said, looking to the ground, smiling awkwardly.
"Thanks. You too." I said as I paid for the coke. "What brings you here?"
"Business." He paid for his things. "I'm taking over my dad's company so I have to travel around a lot." We both walked out of the shop and started walking down the street.
"Oh, wow." I smiled, reluctantly. Deep down, I was still broken. I didn't eat or sleep for weeks after he left, I was so fucked. "So, how long are you here?"
"Umm about a week, I think. I'm staying in the local inn." He smiled again and I wish I hadn't looked. His smile. It brought it all back. The times we had...I could feel my eyes welling up.
I saw my chance. "Well, it was great to see you, I have to go."
"Naruto...wai..." I heard him shout after me but I dashed into my usual bar, it was only 3pm but I knew it'd be open. I ran straight for the toilets and locked myself in a stall. Tears began streaming down my face. I hadn't realised just how much I still missed him. After about a minute, I wiped my face and told myself to calm down. He isn't worth it.
"Naruto...? You in here?"
Shit. I had forgotten he worked here. "Y...Yeah." I shakily responded.
"Are you ok?" Sasuke called out to me.
I flushed the loo, opened the door and grinned. "Sorry, was desperate for a pee!" I put my hand on the back of my head and laughed, going over to the sink to wash my hands. I dried them off then walked to the door. "You coming?"
Sasuke had been looking at me sceptically the whole time. "Yeah..." He walked through the door I was holding open and he went through first. I followed.
I sat down at the bar. "I just thought you'd still be resting. It's only 3pm after all." He smiled at me and I couldn't help but smile back. "You looked like you'd seen a ghost when you came running in here a minute ago." He put his hand on mine from the other side of the bar. "Are you sure you're alright?"
I forced a smile. I wasn't going to dump my crap on him. "Yeah, stop worrying!" I laughed and looked behind him. "Any chance of an early drink?"
"Of course." He laughed and reached for a glass. "Anything for you."
