Boruto still couldn't believe just how easily he managed to smuggle the precious scroll under Shikadai's supervision. Shikadai of all people! The poor boy must have really been tired, what with his strict training regimen, insomnia, and the fact that Boruto woke him up at four in the morning. The little amount of rest he got paired with his health condition only emphasized his need for constant sleep throughout the day. Thinking about it made Boruto feel bad…

However, now was no time to dwell on such guilty thoughts, if anything Boruto should be celebrating! Not only did he manage to sneak into the Hokage building, he also successfully obtained information on the Age Regression Jutsu! Back at the Hokage's office, he wasn't able to get a good read-through of the scroll but now that he was safely located inside the sturdy walls of his room he could calmly look it over.

Age Regression Jutsu

The application of this jutsu allows shinobi to, much like the name states, age regress. Similarly, to the Transformation Jutsu, this technique can turn the user into a younger version of themselves. What age really depends on the user, but it's typically used to go back to that of 10-12 years old. However, unlike the Transformation Jutsu, this secret art is much more permanent, harder to dispel, and harder to sense; thus making it much more convenient for undercover missions.

This is a more advanced and pure variation of the Transformation Jutsu, a true transformation. Many masters of the art have referred to it as a combination of time manipulation and appearance alteration, truly a complex technique.

Advanced Applications: The Age Regression Jutsu was primarily created to age regress oneself, but the mastery of this technique could even allow shinobi to perform the tactic on others.

*** OFFICIALLY A BANNED FORBIDDEN JUTSU DUE TO THE DANGER IT POSES TO ITS USERS AS OF XX21***

Hmmm, 'a true transformation' is it?

Just like he had read back at the Hokage's office, it would seem the Age Regression Jutsu would take some time to master before it could be used on someone else, someone like Lord Seventh. In which case, all the hard work that would go into the perfection of the jutsu didn't seem like such a huge sacrifice to Boruto. In fact, compared to other forbidden jutsu this one didn't have as many significant drawbacks, which was great.

The Age Regression Jutsu- an innocent enough technique, that turned shinobi into just mere children through and through, implying that physical capabilities were also cut down…

Perhaps soon enough Boruto would be able to get revenge on his father and finally prove his worth, prove that he is much more than just "Lord Seventh's Son". The mastery of such an advanced jutsu would most certainly ensure this.

Even so, there was still one concern on his mind, what type of danger does this jutsu pose exactly?

Boruto may be a lot of things, but he isn't stupid and he isn't about to commit an atrocity just to get a good hit in on his father. Before he could begin his training, it was imminent that he conduct a thorough investigation of the advanced technique. The only issue with this is that a forbidden jutsu is a forbidden jutsu after all, intelligence on this type of topic is most likely classified and not easily accessible. Not to mention, that he couldn't just go around telling everyone about his recent findings unless he risks getting found out. The sticky situation Boruto found himself in, narrowed his list of trusted people significantly. Usually, he would go to his all-time confidant Shikadai for help but considering that he is currently going against his best friend's wishes, that wasn't an option either. Which only left one other person…Denki.

While the bespectacled boy wasn't someone Boruto was overly close to, he was his friend nonetheless. Besides, who better to gather classified intelligence than Denki Kaminarimon? Now that Boruto thought about it, there really is no one else he would rather go to. The boy could keep a secret to boot!

It would only take a bit of bribing here and there, but it should be easy enough! Easier than Shikadai for sure at the very least …
