Authoress Note: Welcome to Chapter 3 of No Shelter. Thank you to those who have left reviews for this story. It really does mean a lot to me and it also really means a lot that you guys have been staying with this series. I still haven't quite made the choice of who Morgan will end up with. Even though I'm still aiming for James. But with him chasing Jack in this movie and into the next, it will make it fairly hard for me to have her with James, unless she does something to make James see that piracy isn't what it seems. I also have 21 chapters total planned for this movie. So that is good I suppose. I hope that this chapter turns out well and is good for everyone to enjoy. Anyways enough of my ramblings. Without further ado Chapter 3. ENJOY!

Chapter 3

Bonnie and Morgan were in one of the cages that was made of bone with Gibbs and a few other crew mates.

Bonnie let out a breath looking over when she heard Leech yelling.

"Gibbs! We've got a plan!"

Gibbs groaned slowly, moving his head to look over at the other hanging cage. "What is it?"

There was a pause. "Never mind!"

Gibbs shook his head as he turned his attention to Will who had been added to their cage. "Ah, Will, you shouldn't have come."

Will held out Gibbs' flask. "Why would he do this to you? If Jack is the Chief -"

Gibbs tried to drink from the flask but it was empty. "Aye, the Pelegostos made Jack their Chief, but he stays Chief for only so long as he acts like a Chief … which means he cannot do anything they think a Chief ought not to do."

"He's a captive, then - as much as any of us."

"Worse, as it turns out. The Pelegostos believe that Jack is a God, trapped in human form … they intend to do Jack the honor of releasing him from his fleshy prison." Bonnie said letting out a soft breath not liking the idea of a year after being reunited with her husband that he would be taken away from her again. "They'll roast and eat him. It's a deeply-held religious belief. Or, we figure, maybe they just get awfully hungry."

"Where's the rest of the crew?" Will asked his brows furrowing together.

Gibbs shook his head lightly. "These cages we're in? Wasn't built 'til after we got here."

Will looked at the cage and pulled his hand away.

Gibbs glanced up to the sky. "The feast starts when the sun sets. Jack's life will end ... when the drums stop …"

The sun was beginning to drop towards the horizon.

"Gibbs, can we not talk about my husband's impending death please." Bonnie said looking over at the older man, her face looking rather exhausted. She hadn't gotten much sleep since they had taken Jack thinking that he was their god.

Morgan looked out the bones at the horizon with her brows furrowed together in worry. She didn't like the idea of what was going to happen to her father. She moved her head as the drums began to play knowing that this wasn't going to be a good sign. Perhaps they shouldn't have ever made landfall. She blinked a few times feeling the cage starting to rock a little bit. She looked over to see Will trying to do something.

The others began to help Will with the rocking of the cage that they were in.

"Swing your cage - get to the wall!" Will called out over to the second cage.

The second caged group got the idea and started to imitate the first cage. Both reached the chasm wall grabbing onto the vines.

"Put your feet through. Start to climb!"

Each group pulled climbing up the cliff wall.

"Come on, men, we'll need all of us to crew the Black Pearl!"

"Actually, we don't need everyone. About six would do." Leech called out before he realized he said too much.

"Oh you got to be bloody joking me." Morgan snarled as she looked at her mother. "You didn't want me to shoot the bastard or throw him overboard. He deserves to be in Davy Jones' Locker.

Bonnie let out a breath. "You won't get the Pearl Leech. That is my family's ship and you'll be put on an island watching the ship sail away!"

It became a race to try to get to the top of the chasm to get out of the cages and make their way back to the Pearl.

They froze when they saw the guard watching them. But the second cage with Leech in it decided to try and cheat to try and make it up the chasm.

Bonnie's eyes widened when she heard the drums stop. Her heart wrenched in her chest in worry. She could only hope that her husband was alive. She couldn't lose him like this. Not this way to cannibals.

Will's cage reached the top first pulling them out of the chasm.

In the other cage Leech grabbed onto a vine, but it turned out that it wasn't a vine at all. It was a snake. The men lost their grip and their cage fell, the vine holding the cage snapping causing the cage to drop into the abyss below.

Morgan let out a hum as their cage rolled over the top and the pirates screamed. She had to admit that Leech deserved to die for what he had done. She would never allow that man to take their ship.

The pirates got up to their feet.

"Pick the cage up!" Bonnie snapped an order moving quickly as they lifted the cage to start to run to try and get away. "We don't have time to get out of the cage."

They lost their footing and their cage began to roll, plummeting down into a beautiful grotta before splitting apart.

"MOVE!" Morgan shouted as she quickly got her mother up to her feet.

The crew quickly ran as quickly as they could trying to avoid the flying arrows that were aimed at them. They pressed up against the wall as more arrows flew.

Morgan's eyes noticed a child making noise and alerting that something was wrong. Morgan's eyes slid over to the crew and the cannibals moved away chasing after something else. "Come on. We need to move."

The crew ran through the jungle to get away knowing that this wasn't a good sign. They burst from the jungle heading right towards the Pearl. They could see that the tide was in and the Pearl was in shallow water.

Gibbs ran ahead of the crew that he was with. He saw Pintel and Ragetti working on getting the ship ready to go. "Excellent! Our work's half done."

"We done it for you, knowing you'd be coming back for it -"

They rushed to get onto the ship past Pintel and Ragetti.

"Boys, make ready for sail!" Bonnie snapped calling the crew to their stations.

"QUICKLY!" Morgan shouted, moving quickly to work, moving quickly to help Gibbs.

Will worked beside Gibbs worrying his lower lip softly. "What about Jack? I won't leave without him."

Gibbs pointed making Will look out.

Far down the beach, screaming could be heard and it was none other than Jack running, followed by a hoard of cannibals right behind him.

Morgan looked out, taking a breath through her teeth. At least her father was alive at the moment. "Well at least he is alive.

"Jack! Hurry!" Bonnie yelled and noticed that he was running out of steam.

Morgan turned her head sharply to order the crew. "Cast off! Cast off! NOW!"

Jack splashed through the water passing by the dog that was now barking at the cannibals. "Good doggy!" He shouted as he made his way to the Pearl. He caught the rope and began to scramble on board.

Bonnie's hand shot out to bring him onto the ship quickly pulling him close to her. Her heart rammed in her chest knowing that he was now safe, at least for a little bit.

This is the end of Chapter 3. I hope that this chapter turned out well. I promise you that there will be a lot more scenes of not really following the script. I haven't planned out the scene yet for where Elizabeth is able to get Jack to stay behind. I think Bonnie will be more upset with Elizabeth kissing her husband which will cause tension between the two of them. Probably even adding Morgan into the whole thing which probably would change what happens during At World's End. Should someone else be the Pirate King? Morgan or Bonnie instead of Elizabeth? Perhaps even that it's not Elizabeth who is taken by Sao Feng but one of the Sparrow women? If it is Morgan that takes the place of Sao it will help her embrace her Pirate side more than what she does at the moment. Please leave a review and let me know what you think and let me know your ideas of what should happen. I will hopefully update next week. Until next time.
