"Tyler Hall, member of the United States Army's Delta Force, you are being accused of conspiracy against the Galactic Empire, being an accomplice of the Jedi Order in its attempt to kill the chancellor and taking control of the former Galactic Republic, murdering several clone troopers, and, since the Terran Alliance, which you belong too, has shown its true intentions by massively protecting the Jedi and attacking the Empire, therefore threatening peace and order in the galaxy, you are now also officially considered a terrorist. Do you have anything to say in your defense?" the "judge" said.
Of course he did. Each and every one of those accusations was bullshit, and he wouldn't even have needed a lawyer to debunk them one by one in a normal trial
But this wasn't a normal trial, Hall, as well as the people looking at him all knew that pretty dam well. This wasn't even a real trial, it was a joke, like the trials people accused of Witchcraft would get back home in the 17th century. Made only to justify the actions of bastards or to scare people off, in this case both things.
No, this wasn't even worth trying to debunk anything, however, it may be worth to say something. He looked the "judge" straight in the eyes, before he started talking...
(Polis Massa, 5 days before)
Bail Organa was feeling sad, angry and frustrated all at the same time. All this time, the war had been run by the same person on both sides. Palpatine had planned this conflict, and they had been fooled by him for years. And now, after all the suffering he caused, he had named himself emperor and the people had blindly believed his lies. Even worse, the Jedi, who had been fighting for real freedom together with the republic, had now been called traitors and slaughtered by the clones, who had fought alongside them against the separatists
But, what he did still not understood, is how Anakin Skywalker could have… No, there was no time for those thoughts now, not for now at least. He focused himself back on the present, he had been informed that Obi Wan Kenobi, along with Colonel Tyler Hall and other Terran soldiers, had gone to Mustafar to confront Skywalker, and he had agreed to meet with them here, on Polis Massa.
Suddenly, a worker came into the room. "Excuse me sir, me are receiving a transmission from Captain Allen from the Terran Alliance, he is contacting us from Mustafar" As Bail Organa hears this, he answers: "Thank you, I'm going immediately"
(Other room)
"Hello?" was heard from the transmitter. "Yes we hear you Captain, what happened?" answered Bail Organa, who was not alone in the room, Admiral Adams, Ahsoka Tano, the Jedi Master Yoda and even Dennis Rommel, whose injuries from the fight with Palpatine were being treated by a medical droid, where listening to the transmition with him, with the same worried faces as Bail himself.
"I need help, I am stuck here on Mustafar, I don't have a ship and I'm being attacked by several clones. I'm hiding in the facilities, well, more like what is left of them, but it won't take them much time to find me. "Slow down", answered Rommel confused, "Where are Hall, General Kenobi and the others? You all went there to confront Skywalker as I was informed, was he not there after all?"
Before Allen could answer, Adams responds: "No, he was there, we received a message from Captain Smirnov telling us they had found him". "Then what the hell happened?" said Rommel almost aggressively as he stood up while the medical droid was treating him. "Sir, your injuries are deep and must be treated, it is not recommendable for you to stand up right now", the droid said, but he was ignored, however Rommel could not tolerate standing up for more than a few seconds anyway and had to lay down again.
Worried, Adams says: "Is Senator Amidala ok? Where is Kenobi?" "Padme?" said Ahsoka surprised, "She was there too?" "Ok calm down", said Captain Allen in a frustrated tone, "Yes, we found that SOB and Senator Amidala too, then I fought him together with Hall, General Kenobi, Woods and Walker, but…"
"But what", said Rommel while trying to suppress the pain his injury was causing him, "What h…" He then looks at Yoda, the Jedi had not said anything at all and only now, he realized he had a very sad face. He understood what that face meant, even when he did not really wanted to accept it. Rommel took a deep breath and asked Allen calmly, "He is gone, isn't he?" After a moment of silence, Allan's answer came: "Yes, General Kenobi… is dead"
