A/N: Considering this fic has been dead since June of 2019, basically two years ago, things have changed. I've been playing around with some new Rider ideas and this final chapter is meant to lead directly into assumed new fic. This fic was released before Zi-O and She-Ra ended, so there's a lot that in the end needed to change to make my She-Ra and KR ideas work. I do wanna thank you all for sticking around. This is barely anything to wrap up the story. All of the characters will return in the next iteration of this story, but I felt it would be a missed opportunity to not give this story a proper send-off that connects it canonically to what's next. Thank you.
Chronera wasn't sure what was happening. Where was she? Everything was frozen in place around her. Woz laid on the ground, unconscious and frozen. To her side was Adora, looking quite shocked. Glimmer's face was one of getting ready to yell and attack, while Bow was rubbing his head in pain.
Her memory was all over the place, as if she had been frozen in time for several years and only now just coming back to.
"Well, well, well… I should have known you were the one."
A voice. A voice she hated almost within moments of hearing it. Chronera whipped herself around toward the throne of Queen Angella. But she was not there, rather a man stood in front of it. She couldn't get a good look at his face, due to a hood placed over it. But he wore gaudy red robes and held a heavy looking book in his hands.
"W… Who are you?"
"Hmmm… My name is unimportant. But you, however… you're important… You're Zi-O, aren't you? The Overlord of Time." The man replied, tapping his fingers along the book's cover.
"H… How do you know that?" Chronera felt unnerved by this man. His voice was… It was hard to pin down. It was as if every word he spoke was filled with the ramblings of a demented and power hungry madman.
"Unimportant again. I had heard… That Zi-O was in this place. Thought it was tough to figure out which one of you was you. Now that doesn't matter, however. I have you just where I want you."
The Kamen Rider narrowed her eyes, and held up her arms in preparation to fight. She already latched her belt around her waist. For now, she needed information about whoever this man was. And what he wanted.
Her piercing gaze went unnoticed, however. The man just laughed and smiled at her.
"And there you are… all ready to transform. But… it's not quite the right color. Allow me to fix that for you, shall I?" He waved his hand over his book and a rush of energy flew out of it at Chronera. Immediately, pressure began piling onto her body. She doubled over due to the sudden rush of pain in her abdomen. It pounded like every bone in her body wished to shatter instantaneously. "Much better. Once that's done, I'll take control of your powers and use them to create my perfect world. It took such a long time to get here, to this backwater planet in a pocket dimension. But I finally got here. To reclaim what's mine.
"I… I have no idea what you're talking about, weirdo…" She coughed a bit, her chest feeling tight from the energy being poured out of her. "But I do…. I do know that I will not do anything for you…"
Just a few moments ago, things were fine if memory served correctly. Queen Angella was going to issue them a new mission. Adora and Glimmer were talking a bit more about their encounter with the Kamen Rider Ghost, while Bow attempted to convince Woz to do something more with his time than obsess over his one book. Woz argued it would be improper not to make sure he knew every line of his book by memory, even if he read from it every single time anyways. Chronera loved it. She loved being around other people. Her friends. Whatever this guy had planned? He was already in the dog house. He knocked Woz unconscious, possibly to keep her oddly superpowered vassal from interfering.
"I'm afraid you have no choice." The robed man said, the wicked smile reappearing on his face. Chronera could only shudder slightly, as he began to laugh violently. " Once this is done your story ends! A footnote in history, as I erase everything that's happened. Everyone you knew? All of your friends? Yourself?! GONE!"
"You can't possibly be serious…" Chronera could barely budge out more than that. The pressure was all over her body now, squeezing out the life of her.
"I am though… I will use the power of Ohma Zi-O, yourself, to bring back the power of the gods! And the powers of Ohma Zi-O? The ones that would be the only to face me in the new world? Well you'll no longer exist."
"So much… has changed… You really think I'll… let someone like you take that all away?!" The pain was building, growing with each passing second. Each second felt like an eternity, the power of omnipotence being dragged out of her being.
"It won't matter. This world has no need for a Kamen Rider nor its history." The robed man glanced down at the heavy book in his hands, before opening it and flipping through it. "It is time. The end of this Etheria. The end of this universe. All at your hands."
Chronera felt the Ziku Driver around her waist grow heavier, the energy bleeding out of her body and into the belt. It was over. The Ziku Driver was now a much grander, and far more golden, Ohma Zi-O Driver. Her body shook, the pressure of the power this man forced out of now centered directly in her belt.
"You gave me this power… Yet you believe you can control it?" Chronera questioned, an eyebrow raising above her glaring eyes. The man's smirk simply remained, not even bothering to pretend he cared.
"Oh you'll have no choice. You see, your predecessor has caused many unsightly changes to the timeline." The robed man looked to the fallen Woz, still unconscious from the blow to the head he received. "I am simply rectifying it. Allowing a… more proper timeline to exist. The original Ohma Zi-O, you see… Well he did something quite nasty. Something that I think needs to be reversed."
"I noticed the belt on your waist…" Chronera said, her eyes scanning down to the robed man's waist. Golden, much like her own belt, but it was empty and lacked any sort of trigger for a transformation.
"So you've finally taken notice that this shall be your downfall… In the next timeline, I'm sure whoever I end up as will make sure this world suffers from the choices you will make here." Another fit of cruel laughter filled Angella's throne room.
It was pure agony to sit in this room, looking at all of her friends frozen and unable to move. She had to stop this man no matter the cost. Chronera finally had friends, good friends she could count on. And she would not ever give up on saving that. There was so much more to do, more people to save, and a Horde to stop.
"I'll stop you… Right to my dying breath."
The man simply smiled, before throwing the book in his hands into the air. It spun around like a spinning top, before flashing a bright color, and falling back into the man's hand. Except now it was much smaller… In fact, it was just about the right size for his belt.
"There's no Another Rider here to stop this time. No legend Rider of the past to teach you a lesson and help you. Just me." He opened up the first page of his book, causing it to begin reading itself.
OMNI-FORCE
When the Legendary Sacred Swords and the Chosen Book cross, the Great Power will be Unleashed!
"Now then, let's see whose near unparalleled power will win out, hmm?" The man placed the book onto the front of the belt, as Chronera expected him to do.
"If it'll shut up your face sooner, I think I'm all for it." Chronera groaned, crossing her arms in front of herself.
"Transform!" Both yelled in unison. The robed man hit the button on the top of his belt, causing the book to open past its opening page and onto one with a Kamen Rider on it.
Open the Omnibus! Force of the God! KAMEN RIDER SOLOMON! Fear is Coming Soon~!
The Blessed Hour! The Ultimate, Supreme, Unparalleled! The Supreme Overlord! Ohma Zi-O!
Chonera felt it, truly for the first time. It was as if all of the past and all of the future was entering into her mind at once, overloading every sense with every possible past and every possible outcome of what was to come. In another timeline, she would work her way toward becoming Ohma Zi-O. More of her predecessors would appear to help her in her fight. Catra became a Kamen Rider as well. She would one day turn on the Horde after causing a horrible accident that took the like of Queen Angela. Adora would destroy the Sword of Power and Etheria would re-enter the outer universe. She-Ra would evolve further even without her sword and Chronera would grant her greater power to destroy an entity known as Horde Prime. She and Ana would find each other again. They would fall in love. But that was all gone now. This robed man robbed her of a better future. A future where light and love would prevail over the cruelty of control.
She could feel the tears already running down her cheeks. There was only one way to fix this.
When she looked ahead, she could see that her body was encased in gold and black armor. It was the regal armor of Ohma Zi-O, a sash of Ridewatches along her torso and a helmet adorned in an array of symbols that meant "King." However, when she looked ahead the smog that came out of the book that sat behind the man had faded. He too was dressed in garish golden armor, but the regality was gone. He was a tyrant. A shredded red cape floated down his back and an extremely large golden and black sword was in his hands. A dragon shaped helmet sat upon his neck, a blade jutting out into the air.
"This ends here." Solomon said, pointing his sword at Ohma Zi-O. "My power rivals your own, even with only the Table of Contents! I will create a new world! One where I will truly be God!"
"I know what I must do. For the sake of everyone. For my friends and my enemies." Ohma Zi-O had a clarity she never had before, as if the strength and confidence of a version of her that never had the chance to exist entered her body and took over. She held out her heavily armored hand and summoned Kuuga's Rising Titan Sword out of thin air, before taking a step forward and dashing at Solomon.
Their golden blades clashed within moments of that step, sparks flying as they scraped against one another. It was clear that even with his own power, Solomon still lacked in terms of pure raw strength compared to Ohma Zi-O. He struggled for a moment to reorient his blade, managing to slide it free and jab forward at Ohma Zi-O's chest. The surprise attack caused her to fall backwards onto the ground, rolling expertly back to her feet within seconds.
She held out her other free hand, summoning Blade's King Rouzer to her hand. Unlike Kuuga's Rising Titan Sword, which she only knew of existing once she transformed, Chronera remembered the King Rouzer from her battle with Kenzaki. At that time, she took his finisher for her friends. She wouldn't fail them now, just like she wouldn't back then.
The much large golden sword did wonders, however, in overpowering Solomon. He was still weaker than her. She still had a chance to win. With both blade crossed in an X-like formation, she created an energy slashed that was sent forward at the sword Rider. He laughed, drawing a circled with his own blade and sending it back at the X. The two energies collided greatly, the temporal energy released from Ohma Zi-O's time displaced swords caused time to restart for everyone else.
"Woah… My head is definitely not recovering from that anytime soon…" Bow quipped, finishing his statement from earlier. "And it seems like…"
"Yeah. Looks like we missed something pretty big." Adora replied, shaking her head a bit. Just a moment ago, Chronera was simply standing next to her. Now there was… whatever was happening in front of her. "Chronera?"
The golden Rider turned her head a bit toward Adora, nodding solemnly, before turning back to Solomon.
"I'm sorry Adora… Glimmer… Bow..." Ohma Zi-O said, her voice sounding mournful. "This is our premature ending."
"Wait… what does that mean?!" Glimmer said, getting to her feet from the ground. "Premature ending?"
"Hahahah! Now that you've created some perfectly good hostages, I hope you don't mind me using it to my advantage." Solomon smashed the button on the top of his book once more, causing the book to flip to another page. "With this! I will use your power to create a world where the rest of the Tome will still exist! And with it, I will be a God!"
SOLOMON BREAK!
"I'm going to change it. Everything…" Ohma Zi-O said, raising her hands up into the air. "Adora, Bow, Glimmer, Woz… All of you… Thank you for being my friend and teaching me that there was so much more to life…"
Her vassel slowly regained consciousness, but was only able to get to his feet when Bow ran over to assist his slowly moving body.
"My Princess… You can't possibly be doing this… You weren't supposed to gain these powers yet…"
"I know Woz. But he changed everything." She pointed to Solomon, whose blade gathered power at a slower rate than expected due to Ohma Zi-O's intervention. "Everything is ending… And everything will begin again. He will come back. And there'll be new villains to fight. New allies to meet. New friends…"
"No… No!" Adora raised her sword as quickly as she could. "For the Honor of Greyskull!"
Nothing happened, as Ohma Zi-O's power began to litter the throne room. Adora's face was aghast as the golden energy dripped from everywhere.
"You can't do this! You can't just sacrifice yourself for us!"
"I can! I will!" Ohma Zi-O said, her voice cracking a bit. All of them could hear how upset their friend was underneath that helmet. "You all taught me there were things to fight for! I'm going to create a new world! One where things will have a new ending! One where this man does not ruin it for all of us!"
Solomon laughed wildly, even though his sword refused to keep gathering power for his finishing move.
"I can see them! I can feel their very being as you will them back into existence!" Solomon yelled, almost in a frenzy. He dropped his own blade to the ground, as golden energy surrounded him on all sides. Then he fell to his knees, and began to fade out of existence. "In the end, I wondered how I'd get what I wanted… Who knew you would be doing it for me?"
Those were Solomon's final words as he vanished into nothingness. The rest of the room glowed brighter and brighter, a golden shower of petals floating into the room from the outside. Ohma Zi-O struggled for a moment, her control over her power consuming every bit of her essence.
"I know you all disagree…" Her arms went down, and she looked over to the throne where Angella normally sat. It pained her that her queen was not present in the room at this moment. She slogged over toward the throne, and knelt before it. Chronera was never a queen nor a princess nor an overlord. Perhaps being a bodyguard in the beginning of it all was what made her most likely to be able to wield such power. "But this is for the best… I promise…"
She never looked back at them. Tears were staining her already fading vision.
"I promise we'll... We'll all see each other again. Real soon."
She couldn't hear her friends calling out to her, as white light overtook all of Etheria's existence.
There was nothing more than a white void. It existed everywhere and nowhere at the same time. Then in a single moment, a being popped into the light. It was a somewhat tall man wearing old clothing.
"Oh? It seems I exist again." The man in a hood said, looking down at his hands. "If I exist.. So do the other Sacred Swords… If so, the war is likely to begin again. Such power brought me back. The same that erased me such a long time ago…"
The man looked around in the light, walking toward a single door that hadn't been there prior. He looked at it, confused, before turning the knob on it and opening it up into a library. His puzzled look wax clear on his face, as he turned forward in concern.
"I must find Victor at once…"
