Disclaimer: I don't own goblin slayer or anything from it. This is fanfic.
Thanks, Majin things, so for pointing out some mistakes. I didn't even know in the last chapter, his name was an assassin.
Yes, I am keeping it in; cry about it!
Five adventurers sit around a campfire in the middle of nowhere, under two bright moons in the night, resting from their journey to the goblin fortress.
"So, what inspired any of you to become adventurers?" enquired the High Elf Archer, attempting to strike up a conversation. The priestess is the first to speak up. "I want to help people, save lives, and inspire them." She smiled at the High elf Archer. "And how about you?" enquired the Priestess.
"I want to discover the world; I want to see what's out there; the world is vast; there's so much to learn about it." The High Elf Archer exclaimed. Gazing up at the stars in the black sky
"So, Lizardman, how about you?" enquired the Priestess. "One day, I desire to battle a dragon and consume it to evolve into a dragon." Holding his hands together and bowing to the priestess, the Lizardman said. "Dragons are myths, aren't they?" enquired the High elf archer. "As you spoke of, there is much to learn about the world." The Lizardman stated. He opens his eyes.
"Well, if you do, I know dragons live for thousands of years, so if you do, I'll pay you a visit." The High elf archer stated. "You're such an old lady!" The dwarf chuckled as he stroked his beard. "Dwarf, stop talking! I'm going to shoot you!" The Elf girl yelled, pointing at the Dwarf, her face flushed.
"What made you want to be an adventurer, Dwarf?" enquired the Priestess. The dwarf smiled as he closed his eyes and rubbed his beard. "Of course, for all the fine liquor in the world." The dwarf stated. "Is that it?" the elf asked, tilting her head. As the young priestess looked on in disappointment, "Yes, I made a lot of money just for adventuring; I can buy whatever alcohol I want." The Dwarf was pleased with himself.
"You Dwarfs have no manners." Closed her eyes and turned her head away from the dwarf, said the Elf girl. "Dwarfs are witty, strong, and creative, whereas elves are just a bunch of cheap human knock-offs with longer life spans," laughed the dwarf as he rubbed his beard
"Why you!" screamed the elf, who was about to attack the laughing dwarf when the lizardman stopped her. "It's best not to let words get to you right now. Words are only used to construct offending or dubious phrases or sentences." Lizardman reassured the elf girl. "Dwarf, I'll get you later." Elf girl stated. Before, everyone else turned to a man in the group.
A blood-stained black armored man wears a beautiful black helmet and a long epic black bow and arrow, as well as a small black dragon tooth sword attached to his hip. He sat quietly on the log. Everyone is waiting to hear what he will say.
"What made you want to be an adventurer, beard cutter?" As with everyone else, the Dwarf was curious. Elf girl stood up and checked on the armored man after a minute of silence. She approached his helmet, peering through the visors; she couldn't see anything and could only hear breathing.
"He's sound asleep..." Elf girl stated. "How about that?" She continued, "Does he consistently sleep in this position?" The High Elf archer turned towards the priestess and inquired. Priestess: "I've never witnessed him sleeping."
"Do you know why he desired adventure?" The dwarf inquired. "No, I simply believed he was an adventurer due to the goblins." The priestess spoke. She stood up and threw a blanket over the goblin assassin.
"Would somebody like some meat?" The Lizardman asked. "what is the meat originated from." The dwarf inquired. "It is meat from a wetland animal." Said Lizardman, giving one to the dwarf. The dwarf consumes some of the meat. The dwarf devouring the dish exclaimed, "Amazing!" "would you like some, Ms. Elf?" The Lizardman asked.
"No thanks, I'm fine; elves don't eat meat." The Elf archer uttered. "Would you like some stew I made?" Inquired the Priestess as she handed the elf a bowl. The elf responded, "of course, thank you" She used a spoon to consume soup. Her eyes closed as the warm liquid was swallowed. "ahh, delicious! It is astounding, priestess!" As she drank another mouthful of soup, the Elf girl's ears moved, enjoying the soup.
"Many thanks! The priestess said while closing her eyes and grinning at the elf. She hoped that the goblin assassin was awake so he could try her soup. "owe; I have something," The elf remarked as she removed something from her pouch. She extracted an object enveloped in leaves. She removes the wrapping, showing food to the priestess. "This is an exception to the general rule that elves do not share their rations with other species." Declared the Elf.
Since she has never seen anything like it, the young priestess examines one of the rations. She eats a bit of the ration, chews it, and then gulps it down. The priestess returned the elf girl's gaze with a smile. The priestess mused, "It's so good!" as she ate more of the ration.
"I'm delighted you like it, little priestess." The elf winked at her and complimented the girl's exquisite eating style. "Well, I suppose I should share something myself," the dwarf replied as he produced a big jug filled with drink. "what exactly is that?" The High elf archer queried. "Some fire wine, one of the most potent beverages imaginable." Declared the dwarf.
"fire wine? May I have some?" The High elf archer queried. "I'm not sure you can handle such alcohol, elf; judging by your physique, you'd become intoxicated simply by inhaling it." The dwarf said with a grin as he stroked his white beard. "Shut up, dwarf, let me have a drink! I can handle it, shorty!" The elf's shout caused the lizardman and the priestess to sigh.
"Well, Have at er then!" A cup, he poured and handed to the elf, said the dwarf. She grabs it and drinks quickly. The strength of the liquor itself makes her face red while she gasps for air. The elf was trying to get the composer, but she began coughing violently, which made the Dwarf laugh out loud.
The elf's red, puffy cheeks finally calm down after several minutes of coughing. A black armored man covered in blood catches her eye first; she shuffles over to him and gets down low. She then joins him on the log, where she begins to exert physical pressure on him.
"Orcbolg, wake up. It would help if you shared something; pay attention to me, remember what we discussed along the way. How should we go on an adventure together?" The drunk elf said while leaning against the sleeping armored figure.
"Oh my goodness, she's going to feel that in her mourning." Incredulous, as were the priestess and the lizardman, the dwarf exclaimed. "Please let him rest, elf." The Lizardman stated, wanting no one to disturb the Goblin killer. "-hic- We discussed our upcoming -hic- adventure! How -hic- we -hic- would -hic- explore the lands -hic- together, he's an -hic- odd fellow; I'm -hic- curious -hic- about -hic- him. Even -hic- after -hic- days of -discoverer -hic- sing with him, I still know -hic very little about him." The intoxicated elf rants.
"well… I'll show you guys something that he showed me." proposed the priestess. While the three silver-level adventurers watched the young girl take a combat position with her golden staff,
The Priestess, who now appeared strong, committed, and focused, began swaying her golden stick around in graceful motions. She does acrobatic flips with it, demonstrating her agility and skill. The Elf, the Dwarf, and the Lizardman all looked at this in shock. The audience's jaws dropped, and their eyes widened in awe. She returned to her seat when she was done.
"That was extraordinary, Priestess!" The inebriated elf shouted. "I concur; you're pretty talented!" The Dwarf nodded in agreement. As her face reddened, the priestess bowed her head. "I learned that from him." The priestess said as she pointed to the sleeping man.
"from beard cutter? You only had just been journeying with him for three weeks." Asked the dwarf, who was staring blankly at the priestess. "He is an outstanding teacher," The priestess said as she approached the blood-stained armored figure, placed her palm on his chest plate, and smiled.
"We must get some sleep; we have a tough fight tomorrow." Said the lizardman lying up in his place of slumber. "All right, good night, everybody!" The priestess said as she watched everyone else fall asleep.

While taking cover in the woods, the five adventurers spot two goblins guarding the gateway to the fortress. "Bet I can take them both out with one arrow." The elf said as she readied her bow to release an arrow.
She then fires an arrow toward the Goblins, aiming at the far right of them. "What do you have your sights set on?" Dwarf asked condescendingly. The elf merely grinned menacingly and stowed her bow. The arrow takes a sharp turn before passing between the goblins, slicing through one of the creatures' skulls and into the other; this kills both of them.
The priestess, Dwarf, and Lizardman looked on, jaw dropped. "Amazing!" Said the Lizardman. High elf archer grinned, knowing what she did was impressive. She is considered one of the best archers in the elven community.
As the adventurers make their way closer to the underground goblin fortress, one by one, they emerge from hiding: a High elf archer, the Priestess, a dwarf, a Lizardman, and, last but not most minor, a man in bloodstained black leather armor wielding a small targe black shield with sharp edges, a short black dragon tooth sword strapped to his hip, and an epic bow and arrow slung over his shoulder. The visors of his sleek black helmet reveal a crimson pupil.

.The goblin assassin approaches one of the dead creatures. He faces his group once more. "We don't want a hoard of goblins swarming in on us, so please cover your scents." The goblin assassin looked back at the dead goblin and opened it with a knife.
The goblin assassin was met with blank stares and a few blinks of the eyes of the dwarf, elf, and lizardman. The only person to approach the body and cover itself in its blood was the priestess. Elves, dwarf, and lizardmen all went rigid as their eyes widened.
"I know it sounds weird, but it will help cover up our scent from the goblins, trust me." The priestess said with a grin as she looked at the three stunned silver-level adventurers.
The lizardman and the dwarf exchanged glances, then moved forward to mimic the priestess's actions. In a manner that shocked the elf girls. "Seriously! You guys too!?" The elf bellowed at the top of her lungs.
"You should also wear some." The goblin assassin stated. "no way! I will not smear myself with goblin blood!" The elf girl responded with a second cry. "then we're good to go," Unconcerned the goblin assassin stated.
. "let's go" With that, the grim black-armored man lit a torch and descended into the goblins' underground lair. They are cautious not to make any noise as they go deeper underground in the fortress.
The elf hears a few goblin voices ahead as the goblin assassin lights the way with his torch and everyone else follows. "The goblins are approaching." The high elf archer whispered. "How many have you heard?" enquired the goblin assassin. "I believe up to 12," said the elf girl. "wait here." The Goblin assassin said this while lighting another torch and handing it to the dwarf.
As their leader approaches the goblins, the rest of the party waits patiently. When the goblin noises stopped, all they heard was smashing, crushing, burning, piercing, and ripping. All of them stayed there stupefied until one of the black armored figures walked in, his crimson eye glowing from the visor of his exquisite helmet.
He was drenched in the blood of goblins. "Let's go." That was all he said. Before taking a step forward, the four were frozen with fear. More goblin bodies littered the ground, and each appeared to have been murdered mainly gruesomely. He didn't even seem to draw his weapon.
Though she wasn't as taken aback by the goblin assassin's violence as the Dwarf, elf, or lizardman had been, the priestess was still on edge. She has witnessed this for three weeks. The priestess remembers the time when the goblin killer came to her rescue.

-Flashback-
.
At the time, she followed the man who had just saved her in the cave. A black-armored man leads the way, carrying a torch and marching purposefully toward the goblins. The Goblin assassin and the priestess both stop in their tracks.
The priestess and the assassin hear a dozen goblins ahead. "what spells can you cast?" Inquired the goblin assassin. "I have only two miracles left. And I can cast only two of my miracles. Holy light, and minor heal." Answered the priestess. "On my signal, cast holy light." The goblin assassin instructed. Priestess nods in response. "Go." Said the assassin giving the command.
The priestess chants a miracle. To begin with, she mumbles, and then she shouts. "Holy light!" Her golden staff emits a blinding white light that temporarily blinds the goblins. A goblin assassin is rushing forward, assessing the situation as swiftly as possible. Ten regular goblins, one hobgoblin, and one shamen goblin appear before him.
Swiftly, the goblin assassin draws his little, black, sharp dagger and hurls it at the goblin shaman, piercing its skull. Before the killer can move on to the rest, it drops to the floor dead. The goblin killer rushes at the helpless hob, smashes his shield into its face, and the hob yells in agony as blood spurts from the cut in its skull. The assassin swings the shield, striking the hob in the face as the goblin's brains spill out.
Normal goblins, having had their eyes opened, now rush the man in black armor in an attempt to kill him. The black-armored warrior turns to face the last of the goblins, then rushes forward to attack the remaining green monsters. He was bashing their skulls on the floor, torching them, trampling on them, and slamming them to the ground to kill the others. Goblin blood covered him from head to toe.
The priestess peered at the assassin, her jaw dropping at what she saw. A guy in goblin blood-stained black armor, his red eye visible through his helmet's visor. Just seeing him gave her a little fright. The goblin killer examines a chair that looks carved from bone.
"not done yet." The goblin assassin said in a stoic tone of voice. The priestess appeared bewildered at this point. All the goblins are dead. It's impossible that there are any more. The assassin boots the chair, shattering it to pieces to reveal a concealed door.
The priestess gasped, a bit relieved when she thought he meant some treasure until the assassin opened the door revealing quivering baby goblins.
"Baby goblins?" enquired the priestess. "Yes, there is more to deal with." The dark-armored man stated. "Wait! You're not going to." Before the terrified priestess could finish, the assassin interrupted. "I am," he replied. "But couldn't some good goblins exist?" enquired the priestess. "Goblins, who are good? You might find some if you look hard enough, but the best way to find a good goblin is to find one that never crawls out of its cave."
The infants saw a prominent black armored figure towering over them at this time, with his blood-red glowing eye emitting from the visors of his breathtaking black helmet. They witnessed something demonic that was about to trample their frail bodies. The babies scream and make attempts to crawl away, but they are unable to do either successfully. The priestess is aware of a great deal of sobbing and the sound of bodies being beaten. She collapses to her knees as she observes the slaughter of goblins of young age and sobs uncontrollably as she watches the carnage.

-present-
While the other five adventurers continue down the spacious hall, three silver-ranked adventurers are still reeling from the dark-armored man's savagery.
"Priestess." The priestess's attention was piqued when the dwarf spoke to her in a low voice. To which she replied, "owe... yes?" She questioned. "Is this typical of his behavior? Only demons, I've learned, can act so brutally." The dwarf said, attempting to keep his voice low. The elf girl could overhear the conversation thanks to her superior hearing.
"Yes, but bear in mind that despite his cruelty, he has saved countless lives, including mine." The priestess remarked wryly. The dwarf stared at her in shock for about a minute before he managed a smile. "Right, and what else do you know about him?" The Dwarf inquired. "Sadly, not much; he never gives in-depth accounts of himself. He's done remarkably well considering the circumstances "she showed a pleasant expression as she answered the Dwarf.
"In the case of a young man, Soon after we set up the tent, he fell asleep almost immediately. As a bonus, he was a total bloodbath before we met him. I get the impression that he's not your average guy." The dwarf spoke up. "Believe me when I say the situation involving the goblin assassin is under control; I am aware of this." The priestess is beaming with happiness, as evidenced by the grin on her face.
The elfin girl who was listening in on the conversation between the dwarf and the priestess sighed after she heard it. She casts her eyes over the terrain ahead, where a man dressed in black armor is guiding the way. The excellent attitude the priestess had toward Orcbolg left the elfin girl perplexed.
The elf girl was mistaken about Orcbolg. The dwarf and the Lizardman shared the High elf Archer's sentiments. Suddenly, the Goblin Assassin approaches two massive, dark brown doors. The dwarf, elf, priestess, and lizardman stop behind the assassin.
The goblin assassin faces his allies. The elfin girl's keen hearing allows her to detect numerous goblins hiding behind the door. "Prepare to cast holy light, Priestess." As the assassin put it. Before the goblin assassin could open the doors, the Priestess had time to compose.
The goblin assassin pulled out his bow and arrow; as the dwarf pulled out his handaxe, Lizardman began to use a miracle called sword claw to turn a fang into a sword as the High elf Archer readied her bow. "Now!" shouted the assassin shoving the doors open and revealing a horde of goblins in the room.
The high elf archer has become aware of a new presence. It wasn't a human, and it wasn't a goblin either. In this particular instance, the wall displayed a naked elven woman. When the elf archer saw the imprisoned elf woman, she immediately held her breath and widened her eyes in fright. The wounds are open and seeping visibly.
The priestess yells, "holy light!" as the elf archer snaps out of her reverie. All the monsters in the room are instantly dazzled by a blinding white light. Along with the lizardman, the goblin assassin rushes in. The goblin assassin starts shooting arrows at other goblins who are using bows. Elf archer, elf priestess, and dwarf remain behind them near the door. The elf sniper responds by unleashing her salvo of arrows at the goblins.
The goblins regain sight and rush the five heroes, intent on obliterating them. Blood begins to flow as the Goblin assassin and Lizardman advance on the green creatures, the reptilian creature slashing at the goblins with his sword as the assassin fires more arrows at the monsters from a distance. The goblin assassin used his excellent black bow and arrow to knock back several of his attackers when they got too near.
The goblin killer eventually began using his bow like a sword. He swung it, stomped on the goblins, shot more arrows, and threw daggers at them. The visors on his sleek black helmet glinted red as his eyes gleamed. The goblins were slain as more charged the goblin assassin in black armor, who was out for blood. His familiar ferocity was on full display.
As he slaughters the goblins, the lizardman roars with delight. The assassin and the lizardman have support from the priestess, the dwarf, and the High elf archer. The elf archer is actively shooting at any goblins who get too close to the goblin assassin and the lizardman. The dwarf cast a spell called stone blast, in which he grew several rocks and hurled them at the goblins, crushing their little bodies.
The priestess intervened when a group of goblins approached the three adventurers, swinging her golden staff in a sweeping motion that smacked the goblins and knocked their heads back. When ten more goblins tried to attack the dwarf and elf, the priestess dealt with them similarly.
It was like being in a war zone. Over time, it looked like everyone was getting exhausted; Lizardman was being pushed back, and more goblins were swarming the elf, the dwarf, and the priestess; the dwarf had to use his handaxe more than usual, and the priestess managed to keep her composer, but she is now covered in goblin blood and breathing heavily. Since she had no more arrows, the elf archer had to resort to stabbing any goblins who got too close to her.
The Goblin killer showed no signs of fatigue, though. As he crushes the head of a goblin with his stomp, he makes a beeline for the lizardman, who is getting cornered and showing signs of exhaustion. The goblin assassin grabbed a handful of the arrows that had pierced his enemies' skulls and unleashed them on the remaining goblins who were closing in on the lizardman.
As soon as he was close enough, he started using his black epic bow as a weapon, thrashing the goblins' heads with it as the others began to focus on the madman in armor who was trying to kill them, his brilliant red eye shining through the visors of his sleek black helmet.
They do what the lizardman did and look intently behind the slayer. Behind the assassin, their pupils dilated, and sweat rolled down their faces. The remaining goblins saw the mountain of dead and froze as the killer went to work doing the hat he did best.
Until the very end, the goblin killer avoided picking up the goblin by the head; now, whenever he did, the goblin wriggles and tries to get away. The murderer takes the goblin to a pool that smells like urine because that's where the goblins like to urinate, and then he drowns it by submerging the creature's head.
As it drowned in its piss, the goblin writhed in pain until its final moments. The goblin assassin's armor was stained red with goblin blood, and at that point, all the goblins were dead.
A priestess, a dwarf, a lizardman, and an elf watched the armored man pass by. He cast a glance in their direction. "that's the last of them," This was all he had to say before focusing on the naked elf girl who was chained up. "I need assistance breaking these restraints." said the goblin killer. When the Lizardman saw the elf girl chained up, he nodded and approached her. As he freed the naked elf woman from her chains, the Lizardman chanted, "partial dragon," gaining strength.
Once he frees the elf woman from her bonds, she falls to the ground, where the goblin assassin is waiting for her. The weary priestess rushes over to the elf woman and casts a minor heal on her, relieving her of her injuries enough that she can finally get around. A heartfelt "Thank you" was her words. As she leaves the goblin stronghold, the assassin hands her a bag containing some clothing and currency.
After only a few minutes, everyone in the group sat on the floor, exhausted. Right where they had previously slaughtered the goblins. The elf girl is ruminating in silence as she leans against the wall. "elves abducted by goblins?" the elf muttered to herself.
She turned her attention to the armored man in blood sitting in the goblins' pool of blood. Her mind kept returning to the armed man. On the other hand, the elf archer has heard that the man rescued yet another elfin woman from the goblins. The ground was littered with the bodies of dead goblins, she realized. The woman clenched her fists and clenched her teeth.
"If everyone is exhausted, I'll go alone." The armored guy spoke, interrupting the elf archer's stream of thinking. He stood up and began to leave the room. "Goblin slayer, we must relax as a group!" A tired priestess yelled. "She is correct, beard cutter; we battled a hundred goblins." Added a dwarf lying on a pillow.
The goblin assassin said, "I'm not tired," as if he had been up all night. In disbelief, the elf Archer woman stared at the killer. He seemed unfazed by the constant fights, and this got her thinking. He fights relentlessly against the goblins, and he never seems to get weary of it. Incredulous, the elf thought.
.The man she had heard turned out to be a complete lunatic. She stood up, drew her dagger, hacked a dead goblin open, and then rubbed the blood all over herself. "I will accompany you, Orcbolg, but we must discover a means to slay the goblins without becoming so exhausted." The elf archer uttered these words. The priestess, dwarf, and Lizardman exchanged perplexed glances before standing up and agreed to depart after deliberating for a minute.
The goblin assassin lit the route with his torch as they proceeded down the corridor. They stop and look down to discover a group of typical sleeping goblins. "Okay, since you're all still exhausted, we'll have to take them out while they sleep; does anyone have anything that could be of assistance?" questioned the goblin assassin.
With a wry grin, the dwarf stepped before the goblin killer. He poured fire wine into his lips from his jug and then spat it into the air over the heads of the sleeping goblins. Before his outburst, the dwarf chants a spell. "Stupor." The dwarf cast a spell. "This should prevent the awakening of the goblins." While stroking his beard, the dwarf said with a grin.
"Good," said the assassin, leading downstairs toward the goblins. They all started wiping out the goblins quietly, ensuring not to make too much noise. The elf archer, priestess, dwarf, and lizardman are depleted and shifting gradually as they slaughter one goblin after another.
The elf archer turned her attention to the armored man coated in goblin blood. The goblin assassin was slaying goblins at a faster rate than the others. The goblin hunter is met with a gaping mouthful from the elf archer for a juncture. In an earlier scene, she may be seen crouched down while gazing at the snoozing goblin. She brings it to an end by puncturing the goblin.
"So... this has been his routine all along?" The elf archer asked the question while murmuring to herself. "alone?" She continued in a low voice. She diverted her engagement back to the goblin assassin, who was still impaling each napping goblin swiftly and stealthily.
"That's all of them." The assassin made this assertion. As a party, the priestess, Lizardman, dwarf, and Elf all inhale and exhale a sigh of comfort. They are eager to leave the stronghold. All five explorers hear loud stomping that comes out of nowhere. Everyone in the room darts in the direction of a massive opening. They hear stomping closing, and then a massive creature emerges in front of them. Black shot eyes, yellow eyeballs, and a height of 15 feet; he wields a massive club and is covered in dark armor. The creature resembled a goblin down to its dark skin and pointed ears.
As she watches, the priestess's chest tightens, and her golden staff barely quivers. The lizard man snarled as he drew his dragon's tooth sword. The creature's emergence caused the dwarf and elf to gasp and stare wide-eyed. The elf archer yelled out in horror, "an ogre!"
The ogre surveys the room and observes no more somnolent goblins. The ogre gaped at the five adventurers as he clutched his club and exclaimed, "You pests dare parade into my fortress and massacre the goblins the demon lord blessed me?"
"Yes," says the armored man covered in goblin blood, speaking in a normal stoic tone. The ogre gritted his teeth as his gaze was fixed on the goblin assassin. Everyone else remained silent, assuming a fighting stance. The adventurers, except the assassin, appeared exhausted from the earlier goblin fight.
As he pulled out his short black dragon tooth sword, the goblin assassin's blood-red eye shone through the visors of his otherwise magnificent red-covered helmet. Seeing the man in red armor, the ogre's demeanor changed; he was now more curious than angry.
"Don't move!" The goblin assassin, sensing the weariness of his companions, said as much. He came charging after the ogre, expecting a fight. The ogre gets ready to swing his club, but he's late. He took a sword to the leg from the goblin assassin. The ogre tries to push the goblin assassin away, but the goblin avoids the kick as he draws his sword from the ogre's leg.
The ogre's leg quickly recovers. The goblin assassin said, "I see," and then he charged the ogre again. Again, the ogre swings his club in a sideways motion in an attempt to strike the goblin assassin, but the latter avoids the blow. The goblin assassin aims at the ogre's midsection this time. The ogre dodges backward and then strikes with a palm. Still, in the air, the goblin assassin is smacked to the side and falls flat on his back. He slides for a moment, then recovers his composure and charges the ogre again.
The ogre is awaiting the goblin assassin. The ogre blocks the assassin's aim for the torso with his club, then swings his club, sending the goblin assassin flying backward and landing on his feet. When the goblin assassin looks up, he notices the ogre charging at him. He swings his club down, striking the ground, but the goblin assassin dodges and runs through the ogre's legs. The ogre lowers himself and performs the seated senton, attempting to crush the goblin assassin under his weight.
The goblin assassin leaps onto the ogre's back and attempts to stab him in the neck. The ogre quickly rises, yanking the assassin off of him. The ogre swings his club at the goblin assassin again, and the assassin dodges as the ogre swings his club at the assassin again. The goblin assassin avoids the ogre's attacks before charging in for the kill.
The ogre then tries to crushthe goblin assassin by stomping on his body. The assassin goblin moves out of the way, avoiding the ogre's stomp.
The other four adventures watch as the goblin assassin and the ogre fight. The three silver-ranked adventures are astounded by the goblin assassin's ability to keep up with the ogre, as for the young porcelain rank. She appeared distressed. "His movements are slower than before." Said the priestess, drawing the attention of the elf, dwarf, and lizardman. Lizardman starts to drink an antidote that heals wounds and restores stamina.
"Drink your potions, everyone; we must assist him." Said the Lizardman. Everyone did exactly that. "Ms. Priestess, stay back, sir. Dwarf and Ms. elf, be far-ranged attackers; I'll help the goblin assassin fight this ogre." Commanded the Lizardman as he drew three fangs and began chanting something before saying."Dragon tooth warrior!" A skeleton warrior disguised as a Lizard warrior was summoned.
The ogre finally clutched and squeezed the goblin assassin; the goblin assassin squealed as blood sprayed from the visors of his helmet. The ogre chuckled until he was hit in the eye by an arrow, dropping the goblin assassin to the ground and coughing uncontrollably. As the lizardman impales the ogre in the torso, the dragon tooth warrior grabs the assassin and drags him away from the one-on-one.
The ogre smacks the Lizardman away, and the lizardman collides with a pillar. The elf archer observes the goblin assassin being led over to the priestess. "Orcbolg?" mumbled the elf girl, concerned. "You insect! You fire an arrow from out of nowhere!?" The ogre yelled, catching the elf's attention as he pulled the arrow out of his eye, which healed instantly.
The ogre ran toward the elf, swinging his club at her; surprisingly, she moved much faster than the goblin assassin. She dashes out of the way, sprinting in the opposite direction, firing more arrows at the ogre—the darf yells."Stone blast!" A slew of rocks landed on the back of the Ogre. He scowls at the dwarf, and the dragon tooth warrior charges at the Ogre, while the lizardman engages the ogre.
In the meantime, the priestess is huddled over the goblin assassin. He coughs uncontrollably, and the priestess raises her hand over her mentor, saying, "heal." She heals the goblin assassin with a minor spell. The goblin assassin slowly sits up, recovered but still severely injured. The priestess restrains the goblin assassin. "Don't overdo it; relax." The priestess' voice was gentle but concerned as she held him in place.
"I have a plan." Said the goblin assassin. He pulled out a potion and drank it. The worried priestess still holds him. "it will be fine." Said the goblin assassin, the priestess let him up, and the assassin pulled something from his bag, which looked to be a scroll.
The ogre towers over the elf, the dwarf, and the lizardman. The ogre is getting ready to launch a fireball at the trio. "you fools thought you could beat an ogre?" Asked the Ogre condescendingly. Suddenly, A limping knight in full armor passes the silver-level heroes. "Wait!" Even as the elf yelled and extended her hand, the goblin assassin approached the ogre, scroll in hand.
. Ogre is about to hurl a fireball at the heroes, but they escape just in time. A sudden flash of white light emanates from the scrap of paper the armored man was holding, cutting him half across the chest. Once the ogre loses consciousness, he finds himself submerged in water. He is unable to speak because he is having difficulty inhaling and exhaling and making any blusters. He tries to chatter but only manages to spit out blood. He peeks up and learns that his body has been snipped in two. He also sees a man in armor, coated in blood, with a gleaming red eye peeking out from the visor of his otherwise exquisite blood-splattered helmet.
The goblin assassin hobbles painfully toward the badly hurt ogre. He draws his miniature sword made from a black dragon's tooth and wiggles his way up the ogre's body. The ogre's eyes bulged as he realized what was about to happen. The ogre tries to beg the goblin assassin, but his mouth won't work. The demonic armored man stands over the ogre's head, his eye shining through the visors of his beautiful blood-covered helmet. He then brings his sword down, piercing the ogre's head.
—
All five adventures are riding in a conveyance. The priestess, Elf, dwarf, and lizardman were all awake except the goblin assassin. "Had he a scroll? That can summon gods, and he was going to use it against goblins?" The dwarf was asked. The priestess remarked, "He would have." Looking toward the goblin killer. "Then, priestess, why would you wish to adventure with Orcbolg?" Asked the high elf archer.
The priestess smiled and turned her head toward the archer of the High elves. "Not only does he rescue many lives through his profession, but he also protects me. He would do the same for everyone else in the room." Returning her gaze to the goblin assassin, the priestess replied. She crawls toward the sleeping goblin assassin, scoots up close, and rests against him.

"Why did you do that?" The priestess yelled as she interrogated the goblin killer. The goblin assassin inquired, "Do what?" "Kill those goblin babies!" She answered. "Because it had to be done." The goblin assassin stated.
"Why?" The priestess continued to dispute with the goblin assassin while crying and demonstrating anger. "Why what?" Asking in a stoic manner, the goblin assassin. "You know exactly what I'm talking about!" The priestess yelled out. Before speaking, the assassin was silent for a brief period.
"I've witnessed goblins commit atrocities against men, women, and children due to their cruelty. I had been seeing it ever since I was ten." The killer stated.

That was after the goblin assassin saved the priestess. This helped her realize why the goblin killer targets goblins. However, it's hard to understand.
The goblins did give the priestess some idea of what he might have gone through—considering the missions she's completed alongside the goblin assassin. She witnessed goblins stealing, killing, and molesting young women and children.
Exactly why did they do it? Did this suggest that the goblin assassin was superior because he slew goblins similarly? In all likelihood, no.
She found the goblin assassin's efforts to be most admirable. He was relentless in his efforts to rescue lives, and he succeeded. It was the first time she had seen him in pain or tired. The dwarf shaman did make a valid point about him being sound asleep once we set up camp, so maybe he is just keeping that information from her.
For that reason, the priestess thought he should avoid adventuring altogether. The killer has to get some sleep. As the goblin assassin nods off, the priestess leans against him and closes her eyes, sleeping.
The elven archer remained to stare at the goblin assassin and thought it over still. He's not what she expected him to be. Not in the sense of going on an adventure, anyway. Having to go through that didn't feel like much of an experience. To her ears, it sounded more like a raging desire to put an end to goblins.
The high elf archer has long admired the goblin assassin in the songs of her people and has secretly wished she might join him on an adventure. Toted to be a legend, he saved the ladies while chasing greatness. A vengeful killer with a grudge towards goblins was more like how he came across. He ended up helping the woman, but it wasn't satisfying. Lunging into the visors of the assassin's helmet, the elven woman creeps closer.
"You sound like you're in pain." Querying the Elven Archer. She reached out and touched the goblin killer's bloodied chest plate. "I'll show you there's more to adventuring than just killing goblins, and I'll take you on a true journey."
