Chapter 4: Changes
~Beacon Academy, Infirmary~
Jaune Arc groaned as he got up, he felt like he had a hangover and he was all groggy, he squinted as everything was bright, but suddenly he heard a loud and annoying beeping sound next to him, he turned and saw a monitor.
It was a little louder than usual.
He just shook his head and would stretch his arms feeling so groggy that it almost like he had just barely woken up in a long time.
But why is everything bright?
He let out an annoyed moan as he slowly got up by putting his bare feet onto the floor which made him recoil because of how cold it was, but that also begs the question...
What happened to him?
Why is he in the hospital?
What happened to Francesca?
He didn't know but what he does know is that he probably made his team worried, so he put his foot onto the floor again and slowly adjusted to the floor's cold surface. He turned and saw his clothes were folded nearby and a get well card, he approached them and touched the pieces of clothing and saw the card.
In his mind he must have worried his team sick and they made this as their way of concern, which is true, so he quickly dons his clothes and would slowly walk out of the so called 'hospital' and to his surprise turned out to be the school's infirmary.
But before he could get any further he grabbed his head as there was a small headache happening "ah! I probably shouldn't move around so much since I just woke up" he muttered to himself as he slowly made his way through the hallways but had to use the wall as support as he felt himself feel a little bit weak.
As he's slowly walking to his dorm room he squeezed his eyes shut as he now was walking by one of the academy's large windows and the sun was bright, VERY bright, almost like it was brighter than normal but he supposes it was to be the case as he's been inside for a long time by his estimate so of course the sun's brighter.
As his eyesight adjusted to the rays of the sun shining on him he slowly began to see people, other students approaching the main school building. He saw his team along with team RWBY and Dove running, if they were heading there then that means he's missing the first day of class!
First day and already he's gonna be super late!
At that prospect Jaune soon picked up the pace and would now be walking fast to his dorm room to get his uniform and text books, but he prefers his comics than school work, however he then noticed something off but he couldn't exactly put a pin on it...
Oh yeah...
HIS SCROLL!
"Aw crap!" he shouted in panic as he lost his scroll which he left in his room...
...That just so happens to be on the opposite side of campus...
"CRAP!" he shouted as he was now having internal panic as he is probably gonna be expelled for missing class!
"Hmm"
Hearing a new voice behind him he turned and screamed "AAAHHH!" he looked at the person who crept up on him and realized who it was.
Professor Ozpin of Beacon was standing behind him drinking a mug of coffee while looking at the young Arc, he sipped and then spoke one word "ow".
"Headmaster! You scared me!" he would tell the older gentleman as he held his chest almost as if his heart was about to pop out and run off.
"Yes Mr. Arc?"
"I know I should be heading off to class but I-I don't know what happened last night, I-I was talking to someone an-and then blacking out... Please believe me!" he said with almost a begging tone as he didn't want to be kicked out after making a simple mistake.
"Mr. Arc I do not expel anyone out of my school just because they missed one day, however while I may not enjoy if you miss any you will be suspended. And you will only get this pass from me only once today, I'll tell Mr. Port that he'll be having a late student arriving."
Jaune breathed a sigh of relief as he nodded and thanked the old man "th-thank you Ozpin, I-I won't let you down"
"Mr. Arc it is not I who you shouldn't let down" said the eldest male as he sipped his coffee again before he slowly turned away and walk off, before he could however he was stopped by a question.
"Um... Ozpin sir? May I ask where AJ's at?"
The grey haired man gave a slight chuckle "well seeing as how he didn't get a relic we've given him something similar to do, grab an artifact and return it back safely"
~With AJ, Emerald Forest~
"WHERE THE FUCK IS IT?!" the fat teenager yelled out as he was in the middle of the forest, or he assumed to be the middle, but he could not find the artifact.
An overhead map showing Beacon and the Emerald Forest with a small bubble showing AJ's chibi head giving an angry look was pointing to the far distance, another bubble was showing having a box on a pedestal and it showed that it was TOO far away from AJ.
Safe to say he's probably gonna be VERY late.
~With Jaune and Ozpin~
"Oh, well okay. I guess I better uh... Get to my dorm and get everything for class" the blond said as he quickly turned around and walked off to his dorm.
Ozpin just smiled and would walk back to his office, hoping to not invoke the wrath of his assistant Glynda Goodwitch...
Hell hath no fury like a stressed out assistant.
~Grimm Studies, Port~
"Monsters! Demons... Prowlers of the night. Yes, well the creatures of Grimm have many names. But I merely refer to them a prey" said a portly fellow with a burgundy suit and pants while having waved grey hair and a bushy mustache, he then gave a laugh after he said prey.
His students were just staring at him not amused or interested at his speech but instead were just looking, dumbfounded. Ruby was snoring for a minute before waking up.

Seeing the awkward silence Port continues "uhh, and you shall too, upon graduating from this prestigious academy. Now as I was saying, Vale, as well as the other three kingdoms, are safe havens in an otherwise dangerous world. Our planet is absolutely teeming with creatures that would like nothing more than to tear you to pieces. And that's where we come in" Professor port paused for a bit before he continued once more.
"Huntsmen! Huntresses..." he gave a click of his tongue and pointed to Yang, almost a hint of flirtatiousness.
Yang was uncomfortable at that and gave an uncomfortable chuckle.
"Individuals who have sword to protect those who cannot protect themselves" before he could continue with his speech the door opened and a new arrival entered the room.
Jaune Arc was gasping as he had ran all the way here from the Infirmary, which was on the opposite of the classrooms.
"Sorry I'm late professor! I just woke up!" the blond male exclaimed as he was getting his breath, he looked at everyone that was giving him looks.
"Oh yes Mr. Arc thank you for arriving today, please sit next to your team. And Professor Ozpin informed me about your late arrival, but be sure to arrive with everyone next time" the portly man understood Arc's lateness.
The blue eyed teen nodded and went to sit next to his team, but still got some stares of people most of which were on the glaring side at the 'favoritism' already being handed out to Jaune.
"Now as I was saying, You all shall become the Huntsmen and Huntresses who protect the innocent when you graduate from this Academy, from what you ask? Why the very world!"
After that last portion an older looking teen with black hair and a green shirt would show his enthusiasm "Ehh-YEP!"
This caused everyone to look at him weirdly and he retreated back in embarrassment.
"But first a story, about a young and handsome man. Me!" the teacher said as he began to tell the students about his past achievements.
At this point most of the students began to tune out Port's egotistical story.
Jaune was speaking to his team.
"Sorry guys, I don't know what happened but I passed out and I was in the Infirmary?"
At the beginning of how he woke up the rest of NPR listened in well "well why did you go out of the Dorms in the first place?" asked Pyrrha worried about her partner.
"Well it was because I wanted to celebrate getting to Beacon, we were accepted!" he replied obviously still excited about it but then remembered something.
"Hey I had a strange dream..." he said getting their attention now.
"I bet it's about pancake monsters!" "Nora!"
The team leader just chuckled at her antics but continued "anyway the strange dream I had was, well the first thing I remember about it is the gunfire... Then AJ's voice?" he seemed to be confused about that last part as it was even strange he was dreaming about AJ.
"Jaune... Are you... Gay?" asked Pyrrha after hearing that, she seemed to be stunned after hearing that. Not only her but the rest of his team were also curious because also of that sentence.
"What? NO! I'm not gay... Maybe?" he was confused now as he's never been focused on that subject before, in fact why is this topic even important?
Their conversation was interrupted by Weiss "I do sir!" and they returned their attention back to class.
~Ozpin's office, Beacon~
"I see Mr. Levi finally retrieved the Artifact" Glynda said as she watched with her Scroll on AJ's progress and watching the lone teen approaching the artifact.
Ozpin nodded and sipped a coffee cup "yes he di-" however he paused as he saw on his scroll that AJ had grabbed the box and smashed it onto the ground, he then picked up the artifact from inside and gave a cheer of sorts.
A small audio from one of the closest camera's picked up from the action as AJ was now sprinting to the cliff side.

"I know Glynda, this year is definitely going to be interesting. Unfortunately..."
~At Beacon Cliffs~
AJ was heavily panting as he had climbed the side of the cliff and now was at the top, he had a difficulty breathing due to his circumstances. "I... Hate... This place..." he said in between his heavy breathing as he finally let his body rest for now.
"Too bad! Ozpin iz letting you here and you vill like it!" came a female voice with french accent, at hearing that AJ knew who it was.
"What do you want Dove?"
The female rabbit faunus named Dove Azure looked down at him and placed her hand on her hips "vell I was here on Headmaster's Orders to wait for you and to take you to Ozpin's office. As soon as you got ze artifact you vill be placed on a team or be a lone wolf like moi" she said to him with a hint of pride at the last part.
The obese male nodded "yeah I think I'm gonna be a lone wolf, not much of a team player. Also your pride will be your downfall" he spoke as he was slowly recovering his energy, however he was soon dragged by the foot due to the older female wanting to get his initiation done and over with.
"Ow. Ow. Ow" the boy would say with each step that they took all the way to the headmaster's office, however as he was looking around with his eyes he spotted Weiss and Port on a balcony overlooking the courtyard talking, she seemed frustrated and the elderly man seemed to be scolding her.
"Gotcha bitch!"
"WHAT WAS ZAT?!"
"I SAID I GOT A BITCH OF AN ITCH ON MY LEFT ASS CHEEK!"
"GROSS!"
"FUCK YOU!"
Nearby Ozpin was seeing these two having an argument and sipped on his coffee, he began to think of forming a new team. One that has yet to be announced or even considered among the kingdoms, but perhaps this is something good that he's planning.
His assistant approached him "Headmaster, there is something you should see" at that the old man turned to her and questioned "and what is it that's go you concerned?" she then would show him what she was referring to.
On the Scroll that looked through one of the hidden cameras was a small object on the ground, it looked like it was in the shape of a dust crystal but it had a slight purplish hue to it. It was perfectly cut dust crystal, but there was something off about it.
Ozpin looked at his assistant "a unique colored Dust crystal, no doubt Bart will want to study it, we both know it's uncommon to find a gravity dust crystal so that's probably what it is." "I know that sir but what I'm wondering if we should send a team to retrieve it for Doctor Oobleck to study?" he simply nodded "I'll leave that up to you Glynda, for now I have to prepare a new team about to be created."
She nodded before she turned around to inquire about something "by the way, what kind of team team do you think this one will be like?" the older man paused in his step as he turned back to her and answered "you'll find out." He left to do his job of assigning Levi a new team.
~Hallway to office, Beacon~
AJ and Dove were walking to the headmaster's office, on the way the two had a small chat.
"So... Faunus huh?" started the fat teen as he broke the silence, the bunny girl nodded "yeah you got a problem with zat?" he shook his head as he shrugged "to be honest I particularly do not care. Human, Faunus, Hell even if there was a Human-Grimm I wouldn't care. In my personal opinion? Having extra appendages just means and advantage over others due to animal traits" he said as they both were outside of the elevator door.
Before they can enter however the rabbit gal was on the floor, the reason why she was on the floor?
It was because there was another girl on top of her.
"Sorry about that, I am so terribly sorry" apologized the girl on top of Dove, she quickly got up and brushed herself off.
The new girl was a faunus like Dove, a wolf faunus to be exact as there's a pair of brown wolf ears. Her hair was short and into a twin ponytails, her face was your average feminine looks, her eyes were a deep lilac color shining like an enthusiastic individual. She wore the beacon school uniform female variant, but she has what looks like to be twin daggers on the side of her hips. Her skin color was pale but has enough color,she smiled at her.
"It iz no worries, just be careful next time okay?" said Dove as she also got up and dusted herself off as well, she looked at her.
Behind that girl was another girl, but she seemed to be timid as she nervously approached them.
"H-Hi..." she shyly greeted as she looked away nervously.
The 2nd girl to appear wore a shirt that had exposed neck area reaching to her shoulder, showing her the top of her shoulders barely. Not only that but she also has red denim pants that seem to hug her figure, she had black hair that was short as it parted to the right with a hairclip in it. Her eyes were a soft green color as she is all nervous, her shoes were that of slippers. On her back seemed to be a shield with a handle breaching out of the top.
"I-I-I'm Vermilion Fiye..." she introduces herself nervously, she then turned to the girl who knocked over Dove "p-please in-introduce yourself..." she motions for her to do so.
"Oh right! Sorry about that! My name is Gran Fluer, pleased to meet you... Um..."
"Dove, Dove Azure"
"AJ Levi"
At the male's introduction the two newcomers looked at him "huh, that's funny. I never heard of your name being non-color before" she says as she realizes that tidbit of information, practically everyone names their children after colors.
The fat boy chuckles "well my family isn't exactly one for customs... Or lack there of..." he said the last part to himself in a low whisper to make sure the three girls don't hear him.
"So what are you two doing Dovey?!" asked Gran as she looked at her fellow faunus and was curious about what she and her companion were doing here.
Said girl responded "well AJ and I have been summoned by ze headmaster after this idiot got a relic" at the mention of 'idiot' she gestured to AJ, who took some offense.
"Is that so? Because we both have also been requested by Ozzy himself!"
"Is that so?"
"Yep! Strange isn't it!"
As the two girls were occupied with having a chat, Vermilion shyly approached AJ "H-He-Hello..." she greets in a low voice and one could almost miss her.
Luckily for her though AJ could hear her perfectly "hello there anything you need?" he asks her in a polite manner, even though he is a bit pissed off at being called an 'idiot'.
She shakes her head "n-not really, b-but a f-fe-few o-of m-my f-fr-friends w-wa-wan-wanted me t-to m-me-meet new p-pe-people..." she manages to tell him through her stuttering as she looks down not seeing his face.
He nods "Ah... I see... Welp good luck with that" he tells her bluntly as the elevator door finally opens and they see Glynda Goodwitch holding her scroll tablet.
Glynda looks up and sees the 4 gathered individuals "oh hello there students, the Headmaster is waiting for you up bove" she tells them as she gets out of the elevator and motions for them to go inside of it.
"What'cha doing Miss Goodwitch?" asked Gran her teacher as she is curious about what the deputy headmistress is doing.
"Nothing that should concern you my dear, now you all best be off to see the headmaster." she says and then walks off to do whatever it is she does.
The first one to enter was the twin ponytailed gal "c'mon then! No need to keep Ozzy man waiting!" she yells at them becoming a bit impatient to get this over and done with, also to see what the headmaster has in store.
They all looked at each other before proceeding to walk into the elevator and heading up to the old man's office.
~A few minutes later, Headmaster's office~
The signal pinged and the doors opened to reveal the 4 individuals, they left the elevator and entered the office.
"Gran Fluer reporting for duty Ozzy sir!"
"Dove Azure also reporting!"
"V-Ve-Vermilion... A-At your r-re-request"
"Let's just get this over with old man, what the hell do you want?"
At that the rabbit girl smacked AJ at the back of the head, this caused the other two girls to giggle at the action and also caused the Headmaster to give a low chuckle.
'Ah young love' he thought in his head as he saw the antics these two were going to make.
"Thank you for arriving as quickly as possible, I know that it's not like a student to be summoned on the first day, let alone the first week, of school but this is important" the elder man said as he began to walk in front of his desk and look at them.
"Do you know what I brought you four here?"
"To give us candy!"
"Because of our skills?"
"I don't give a fuck!"
"W-Wh-What s-si-sir?"
Seeing their reactions being the same general one, he started off "Let's start with our oldest here, Vermilion you are the sole hunter that has yet to find a team to take you in despite... Your past." he said to the girl as he didn't want to bring up memories.
Mentioned girl nodded but in a bit of a more somber mood.
He then turns towards Gran "and you miss Fluer while you do seem to spread and want to cheer everyone up, many of your fellow students seem to ignore you or disregard your attempts of such."
The gal nodded but still seemed cheery.
"And you Miss Dove, you're the only huntress to deny a team because you, and I quote, "Prefer the sweet silence of nature" I need to remind you that we're here to encourage teamwork amongst students."
The aforementioned female nodded but a bit annoyed at what he said, she didn't need a team.
"And finally we get to our youngest, Mr Levi. You are one of the odd numbers without a team and I've seen your... Recent developments with your fellows is not proper huntsman material, but I hate to see you waste your talents"
"Just get to the fucking point!"
Ozpin sips his mug of coffee "how rude" but he gives a small smile while he drank his favorite brand.
"Now tell me students... Do you see the reason why I gathered you here today?"
At that the four individuals looked at each other and nodded now understanding why since Ozpin blatantly pointed it out, with AJ being the more reluctant of the group to agree.
"Yep!"
"Aye!"
"Y-Ye-Yes"
"Meh"
He nodded as he began to speak their names out loud "Vermilion Fiye, AJ Levi, Gran Fluer and Dove Azure. Due to your similar circumstances and unique skill sets I believe it's time to make the first Multi-Year team... From here on out you'll be known as team... V.A.G.D. (Vanguard) and for my own pick of whom your team leader shall be... It will be AJ Levi!"
"SAY WHAT?!"
"WHAT?!"
"Really?!"
"H-He-Hea-Headmaster?"
He nodded as he looked at them with his eyes that he's shown whenever he sees a new promising team "you heard me, Mr. Levi is to be your new team leader" the girls and boy wanted to complain about it but before they could they were interrupted.
The door opened and Glynda entered "It's done headmaster" she said as she spoke in her usual professional tone, at hearing that the headmaster nodded and sat down at his chair.
"Glynda meet the new and possibly FIRST Multi-year team, team V.A.G.D. lead by Mr. Levi himself" at hearing that news Glynda froze on the spot, she just couldn't believe what she's hearing right now in fact she hopes that she's dreaming right now.
"I'm sorry but please tell me you're not serious are you?" she asked hoping that he was joking, however that smile he had on his face tells her otherwise.
Knowing that smile all too well Glynda sighed as she could feel a headache already, she then looked at the newly assigned team "... Very well... Team V.A.G.D. due to your circumstances we only have a 1st year room available, granted your former rooms are also available but this school has a rule about teammates rooming together. Something I'm sure you're all aware, espicially you miss Azure"
The other 3 people looked over to Dove who only grumbled, AJ gave her a small pointed finger and gave a small laugh "ha!"
"I wouldn't be so sure of yourself Mr. Levi, you're a team leader now which means you get extra classes. Classes that are REQUIRED for you to attend"
At hearing that AJ's once happy and mocking tone quickly turned around and now it was Dove who laughed.
Ozpin smiled "speaking of which, Mr. Levi! You're bag has arrived in your room, but keep in mind that I've had to pull some strings because of the contents." he said as he gave a look to the young boy, obviously whatever he had in the bag was considered something bad.
The teen male shrugged as he proceeded to walk to the elevator, soon followed by Vermilion and the rest.
~V.A.G.D. room, Beacon~
AJ entered as he opened the door that led into their room, he looked around and saw that it was pretty bare with the exception of 4 beds and next to one is a nightstand with lamps. To AJ it was a little disappointing but then again a new team has been made just a few minutes ago so of course everything's gonna be barren.
The only thing that was of note was a duffle bag on top of one of the beds closest to the door, after seeing that bag the boy immediately spoke "I call dibs!" he claims as he approaches the bed and checks underneath it.
Not long after though the girls followed suit and they all looked around, with various reactions.
"Huh, it's bare"
"Of course it'z barren, we've only moved here just a few minutes ago"
"S-So... W-W-Who gets w-what b-be-bed?"
The girls then turned the the only male team member who was looking out the window, he pulled back from and walked to the bathroom.
"Um... Vhat are you doing?" asked Dove as she and her new teammates saw AJ going everywhere, almost like he was searching for something.
"Gotta see if there's something, I mean... This room wasn't ours at first right? So... Secrets" was his excuse as he kept looking around.
However his time was cut short as the bell rang and it was time for a new class.
"Oh I believe zat is ze bell for Combat class"
"Yeah! Going to see new people's fighting style!"
"I-I-I h-ho-hope i-it's s-sa-safe..."
AJ looked at his duffle bag before nodding "alright... I guess I'll come, nothing much to do anyway" he says as he grabs his bag and is ready to walk out, but before he can do that he was stopped by his teammate Dove.
"Yeah I don't think you'll be going like zat" she tells him while her finger pokes his shoulder, hearing this the fat teen only groaned in annoyance "they do NOT and I repeat, do NOT have any uniform for my size!" he tells her feeling annoyed that he has to wear the uniform.
She huffed "vell excuse me for wanting to make sure our 'leader' is following school policy, and besides you can make adjustments to your uniform as long as it's not too big." She says as she and her new friend Vermilion go and change into their school uniforms.
Hearing this the boy wanted to make a comment but nothing came out, after the two girls left to get their uniforms leaving him and Gran as the only two.
"So... This is my life now... Once traveling the fucking world and now I'm at school... Full of warriors, shitty one's at that" he mutters, not long after he said that the two girls returned and they both wore the female uniform.
Dove had pins on her uniform where her skirt would be.
And Vermilion has a flower pin in her hair.
Gran on her uniform has a soft pink ribbon around her forearm.
Seeing his new 'team' in their uniforms he might as well put it on, he's not one for uniforms damn it!
He entered the bathroom, in that time span the girls would chat.
"So... Did he say anything rude?" asked the rabbit faunus as she was expecting him to say something rude either about her or anyone, Gran nodded "yep he insulted the school and called us 'shitty warriors' though I don't think that's the case"
"W-We-Well I-I-I think h-he's just n-ner-nervous... A-After a-all he i-is the o-only b-bo-boy in the t-team..." stuttered Vermilion in an attempt to defend her team leader, but Dove wasn't having any of that "I know Ozpin iz ze headmaster but making him? HIM?! OF ALL PEOPLE 'Leader' of our team?! Why HIM?!" she's known Ozpin for a while but this is one of those times where his decision stumps her.
"I have to agree with you there Dovey! Why is he making someone who's only a 1st year leader of a multi-year team? But then again Ozzy is known to make all these sorts of craziness! I wonder if the Coffee's getting to him"
~With Ozpin~
The headmaster himself was holding his coffee mug, he was hunched over and his eyes darted between the room as if scanning to see if anyone is there, after seeing no one he looks down at his almost empty cup.
With a creepiness turned up to 11 he gently strokes the side of the cup and whispers in an almost hoarse, high pitched and guttural voice, "My precious..."
~With team VAGD~
"W-We-Well m-ma-maybe t-th-this is o-one of h-his wise c-ch-choices..." the shy girl of the team mutters as she is defending Ozpin's choice.
Dove looked at her aghast "do you SEE how he is?! He's a fucking racist! He hates Faunus! He called me a fucking Animal! AN ANIMAL VERMILION!" she roared out that last part as she felt her anger slowly rise up at remembering his attitude towards faunus.
"What the fuck is all the yelling about?!" came AJ's voice from the bathroom door as it opened, he stepped out of the bathroom and looked at his companions.
~Amphitheater, Beacon~
Team RWBY was in the Amphitheater, along with the rest of the students. It was the last class for the day and it was combat, the girls had all various interest in the class but none were more vocal than...
"Can't wait to kick people's butts!" said one Yang Xiao Long as she was boxing the air feeling pumped at being able the chance to kick people's asses, as well as the given ability to once more show off her moves.
Ruby was speed talking"Iwonderhoweveryone'sweaponsworkorhowtheyfight!Ohit'ssoexciting!"
Weiss merely huffed a bit and turned her head, feeling a little remorse after talking with Professor Port.
Blake was reading a book.
Glynda Goodwitch approached the arena "welcome to combat class, I am Glynda Goodwitch and here I am your combat instructor. I'll be teaching you how to combat that the Grimm as well as other people, for Grimm you will not always be fighting as you'll have to deal with Rogue huntsman. This class is to teach you how to combat that threat, you're the future Huntsmen and Huntresses of the Four Kingdoms and it will be your duty to uphold it" she spoke as she was gonna teach these young children how to become warriors that protect their planet from the Grimm and Rogues.
"Now then, to start with I'm gonna have two students fight each other. The selection of whom will be fighting is randomized as well as keeping track of their Aura via scrolls, now then let's see wh-" she would be interrupted as the door opened and there could be heard voices.
Girls laughing, a soft spoken voice trying to cheer up someone and a male's voice who sounded irritated.
She looked at the new arrivals and spoke "Students, for the first time ever in any Hunter academy history I would like to you to see the newly formed Team VAGD lead by Mr. Levi himself" she says as not an excuse to mock them but as news as Ozpin told her to make it.
Not long after murmurs were being sounded, never in any Huntsman academy has there been a Multi-Year team.
Some of them snickered as they look at the new arrivals, some were trying to contain it and some were taking pictures, others just bellowed out laughter as they saw the leader of team VAGD.
AJ Levi was wearing the Beacon uniform for boys, however he was in a messy look. His tie was around his shoulders lazily, his shirt could barely fit him and it looked ready to rip open, his pants were on too tight and were hugging his legs allowing some people to see his ass, his shoes were being pressed down by his heels because of their size, his jacket was over his shoulders. He also had his hands be gloved.
He looked around and heard the snickering and laughter, he felt embarrassed as he was wearing what was essentially baby clothes due to his size.
"HAHAHA OH MY GOD! HE LOOKS SO STUPID!" laughed Yang the hardest she's ever been, seeing someone who was disliked even by his own fellows was so satisfying even if it was rude or cruel.
"H-Hey! He's just big boned!" Ruby tried to defend him but she was having difficult time trying to, it was pretty funny after all.
"Oh brothers! How is he alive?!" complained Weiss at seeing Levi's state.
Blake ignored everything and read her book.
With Team JNPR.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! LOOK RENNY! HE'S SO FAT LIKE AN ELEPHANT! HIS CLOTHES DON'T EVEN FIT HIM!" laughed and snorted Nora as she laughed at AJ's poorly dressed clothing, this was so good and hilarious that she couldn't stop herself.
Ren was trying to calm her down.
Pyrrha tried to defend AJ much like Ruby.
But Jaune looked at AJ and felt...
Weird...
He didn't know why but it felt weird looking at AJ.
After everyone was done laughing Goodwitch cleared her throat "it's nice to see your team on time despite having been recently formed Mr. Levi, please sit wherever you like." she gestures to the seats and sees everyone sit wherever they sat.
AJ and Dove sat next to JNPR while Gran and Vermilion sat next to RWBY, after that there were still some giggling and laughter as some looked at AJ like he was a freak in a circus.
Glynda then continues with her speech earlier "now as I was saying, let's see who our two students will be pitted against each other?" she typed in only digits and the machine randomizers did the rest. Not long after it showed Cardin and Jaune as the two who were to oppose each other.
"Mr. Arc and Mr. Winchester please come down to the arena, and please change into your combat outfits we wouldn't want to destroy these uniforms, they're quite expensive" she says as she stares at the two boys, but Cardin made a remark "I think it's too late for that" at that everyone made a snickering sound.
"I'm well aware of Mr. Levi's... Size but for now you need to focus on the fight" she said as she waited for the two boys to come on down and fight.
The two males got up and walked away to the locker room.
~ 10 minutes later~
People were cheering, wooing and encouraging the two fighters to show them a match, both Jaune and Cardin are hittng each other with their weapons but Jaune is on the defense while the Winchester boy continued his assault.
Back up in the stands RWBY, JNPR and VAGD were cheering for their friend.
"BEAT HIM UP VOMIT BOY!"
"GO FEARLESS LEADER!"
"DON'T LET HIM WIN JAUNE!"
"GET ZAT ASSHOLE!"
"SUCH HIGH ENERGY! I LOVE IT!"
The only one's who weren't cheering were AJ, Ren, Blake, Weiss and Vermilion.
"U-U-um... W-Wh-Who d-do you t-think w-wi-will w-win?" Asked the shy girl from team VAGD that looked at the rest of her non-cheering fellows.
Weiss answered with a scoff "isn't it obvious? That dolt has no technique or form in his style, look at him! He's just swinging the sword around with no finesse!"
Ren would nod "as much as I'd like to vote for Jaune, it is strange to see him lack any kind of form. Even inexperienced swordsmen know what to do"
Blake ignores everyone and is reading her book.
"I personally don't care who wins or loses, I'm interested in something else" says AJ as he leans in and stares at the fight, seeing this the non-cheer group looked at him thinking he was lying.
"Oh yeah? Then why are you watching?"
"Nothing else to do"
Before anyone can continue they heard the buzzer sound off and the winner declared.
"Winner is Cardin Winchester, by Aura pool." announced Glynda as she typed in her scroll to show that Cardin's Aura level was in the green and Jaune's was in the red, the teacher then spoke "as you can see Mr. Arc's aura is in the red, if it was a tournament he would be unfit and disqualified." she says getting the point across with how serious her tone is.
Jaune looked at Cardin and gave a glare, he gritted his teeth and let out a soft growl.
Cardin looked at Jaune and gave a mocking smile.
Meanwhile back in the stands AJ saw the look Jaune gave his opponent and gave a small grin, he got up as everyone else did and proceeded to leave after the bell rang and Goodwitch let them go.
Today is going to be interesting.
~With Jaune~
Jaune wasn't feel great.
How?
Because he had lost against Cardin in a practice match, that's why.
Now normally he wouldn't be upset but if he was discovered to have no skill then he would surely be kicked out of Beacon, he just got here and didn't want to leave damn it!
He gritted his teeth and felt anger boiling up in his being, he was becoming more and more frustrated with each movement he made.
He didn't know why but this anger only kept him on edge and become even more angry, as if it was always building up and he needed an outlet.
But that was the strange thing, he didn't show anger over something so simple like practice.
As if to vent his frustration he would quickly punch the nearby hard surface, which was a locker.
He didn't bother to look as he walked off, thinking that maybe dinner or just a walk will cool himself down.
If he looked he would have noticed that the locker he had use his fist on had an indent in it.
~Team JNPR~
"Jaune Jaune!"
"OW!"
The sudden shouting of Nora in his ears caused Jaune to recoil in pain, he held his ears he looked at Nora.
By the brothers did she have a loud voice!
"Nora!" chastised Lie Ren as he and Pyrrha had walked up to the loud and bubbly Valkyrie, he then bowed to Jaune apologizing for his friend's behavior "I'm sorry for her behavior Jaune. She's hyperactive"
The blond male looked at his teammate and gave a small glare, but he nodded still feeling a little bit pissed though and her shouting did not do her any favors.
Seeing her partner in pain the 4 times mistralian champ asked with worry "are you okay Jaune?" she seemed genuinely worried about his health.
He shook his head "no I'm not... I lost against Cardin, I know it was only a practice match but... I just feel... So... Angry" he answered as he looked at his hands and clenched them tightly, the mere thought of losing to Cardin just made him pissed.
Pyrrha took his head into her own and held it "it's okay Jaune, it was only one match. I'm sure you'll get him in the next tone, you have all school year to do it" she said with wisdom as she smiled at him hoping to cheer him up a little.
Hearing his partner say those words calmed the teen male a little, enough so he doesn't feel like he's about to snap.
However that moment was ruined by the loud and shrill yet beautiful and angelic voice of Snow Angel.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN OZPIN PUT HIM IN CHARGE OF YOUR TEAM?!"
"I know! Zat's vhat I said!"
He looked at the source and saw Team RWBY and VGD chatting with AJ nowhere next to them.
"Hey c'mon Weiss! I'm sure he's not that bad!"
"Ruby he's a complete fatty, idiotic, annoying and a slob!"
"Whoa... Jeez tone it down Ice-queen, I may not like the dude as much but I wouldn't even go THAT far"
"Shut it Xiao Long!"
Jaune was shocked to his core.
He was shocked not because of the obvious hate for AJ...
Rather he was in shock at team RWBY and VGD talking...
In the intersection on the opposite side of the hallway...
... And his team was at one end of the other intersection...
He shook his head, hoping that he was hearing things.
"You okay Jaune?" asked Pyrrha, he looked at her for a brief second and nodded "yeah I'm good just hearing things is all."
The group then walked to see the two teams and then head off towards the cafeteria.
~Cafeteria, Beacon Academy~
"And then ze asshole said he got an itch on his ass! I don't want to hear about your itching! It's just disgusting!" said Dove as she recounted how AJ returned with an artifact, suffice to say is that any favors he may have gotten are now gone.
"EW! What a creep!" complained Yang not believing that he would actually say that, it was disgusting on a whole 'nother level.
Everyone else was gagging or were frankly disgusted with AJ's attitude to his teammate, even the one's who tried to defend him are having second thoughts.
"SEE?! HE DOESN'T BELONG HERE!" screeched Weiss as Dove only proved it further that AJ was no good, disgusting excuse for a living being.
"And zat brings me up to another point! He just vanished!"
"What do you mean he vanished?" asked Ren as he was still a little optimistic despite the disgusting things he's heard AJ do.
Gran answered "we were together and when class ended POOF! He vanished... Like a ninja..." she said in a mystical tone trying to add some thematic to it.
Vermilion nodded "I d-don't k-kno-know where h-he i-is... H-He just l-le-left w-wi-without anyone n-no-noticing"
It was then Yang made a complaint "how the hell do you lose an elephant that's bigger than a walrus?"
"The same way you suck all those dicks you fucking bimbo!"
Everyone on the table jumped a little bit after hearing the newcomer, they all turned to look and see it was AJ himself.
With a bag of cans.
"Wha-? WHERE DID YOU COME FROM?!" demanded Weiss as she couldn't believe she missed hearing him or seeing him, and he was behind Yang!
"I came from FUCK YOU!" he shouted at the heiress before placing the bag on a nearby table and sitting at it, away from everyone else.
Seeing him away from them gave the girls some form of relief, not wanting to be next to his disgusting habits.
To further point his decrepit ways he opened a can and just chugged the whole thing, some of the liquid escaping his mouth and down his cheek and face.
Everyone gave a look of disgust, but one particular person wasn't looking, a certain blond.
Jaune Arc was flinching, not because of how brutally honest everyone was being but at hearing so many voices speak at once.
"... Hey man did you see the new show?" once voice spoke.
"Yeah man!" another responded.
"So me and my team are like, 3rd years here" a girl voice said.
"So... You wanna go out some time?" a random boy spoke.
Jaune kept wincing as his hearing caught on so many topics unintentionally, but he could hear too many voices and it was as if all of them were only getting louder.
He saw how everyone was too busy talking and no one was looking at his direction, he leaned forward and placed his elbows on the table and covered his ears to block out the rapid fire speeches.
Blake noticed this and asked "you okay Jaune?" she stared at him as she slightly lowered her voice, not out of worry but more out of curiosity. He nodded and gave a soft chuckle as to play it off "yeah just a minor headache is all, nothing to worry about" he didn't want to draw any attention.
Too late for that.
"Are you sure Jaune?" asked his partner as she stared at him all worried, she seemed to be the one who has shown concern for his well being. He nodded "I said. I'm. Fine..." he said through gritted teeth as he felt annoyance from Pyrrha already and it was slowly pissing him off.
Why though?
Why is her being concerned for him only pissing him off?!
Is she pitying him?
For some reason though that thought only made it worse, he let out a low growl as he looked at Pyrrha with a forced smile "I'm... Fine... Pyrrha... Nothing bad..." he said through his closed teeth as if he was trying to contain his boiling hate building up.
Pyrrha looked even more concerned and wanted to speak up but was interrupted by Cardin.
"Look at fatass over here!" he approached the lone teen who ignored him, however soon the sound of laughter as people who saw the obese male began to laugh at him. But the young man didn't care, he just drank his pop and that was important, at least he should be but instead cow-ass over here had just entered his space.
"Yo CarDICK!" AJ said while looking at Cardin and making fun of his name, which in turn got some people to chuckle at the creative nickname. Winchester growl as he grabbed AJ's face and smashed him against the table "how the hell does a fatty like you ended up a place where your kind don't belong?" he taunted the kid wanting to make him feel bad.
Wrong!
"I don't know, how the hell does someone named Winchester get into a place with living shits?" that caused the laughter to stop as he had just bluntly called all of them shit, he continued "All I see is brown and it's disgusting!" he said starting to annoy people.
However he was grabbed and slammed into the ground "oh my~ Such roughness, tell me... Is that how hard you go on your teammates?" he grins as he continues to smack talk the leader of team CRDL, which proved to either be worth it or life threatening. Cardin let out a roar as he stomped on AJ's chest causing him pain.
"Not so tough now are ya?!" he looked at him as he pressed harder, but the obese teen just kept smack talking "ooh la la someone has a foot fetish!" this only angered Cardin and his team as they all now held AJ up and they started to punch him in the gut. AJ recoiled but still kept up his shit "wow... Having your SHITTY teammates help ya fight yer battles? Talk about pri-" he was punched in the throat as they kept beating him.
Some students were cheering team CRDL on their abuse for the fatty had insulted their pride as hunters-in-training, some of the other students backed away not wanting to get involved, but teams RWBY, JNPR and VGD looked on in horror, well most of them.
"SOMEONE STOP THEM!" cried out Ruby as she saw one of her two first friends being beaten to death.
Yang quickly got up "HEY!" she may not the guy but that didn't mean she didn't want him bullied.
On reflex at seeing AJ abused Jaune, Nora, Blake, Vermilion, Dove and Yang got up and rushed to team CRDL pulling them off of the teen.
"GET OFF OF HIM!"
"SOMEONE GET A TEACHER!"
"VE NEED TO GET HIM TO ZE INFIRMARY!"
"LET'S BREAK THEIR LEGS!"
"LET GO OF ME! HE DESERVES IT!"
Vermilion, Jaune and Blake were carrying AJ to the infirmary while Yang, Nora, Dove and Gran, who later joined them, were now standing in front of team CRDL.
They were about to fight until they were stopped by Glynda Goodwitch "WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON IN HERE?!"
~Beacon Infirmary, hours later~
On the bed lay AJ, he was unconscious due to one of team CRDL members hitting AJ in the head hard enough to make a concussion.
Sitting next to him was Dove and Ruby, both of which were concerned for the poor boy as he hasn't woke up in couple of hours, it was nearing night time now.
"Is this... What big boned people have to endure?" asked Ruby in a soft but shaken voice, she always heard that fat people were always body-shamed and how some of them couldn't take the insult or man up, she hoped it wouldn't be that way but after what happened in the cafeteria it was nerve wracking.
Dove sighed as she looked at her partner, Ozpin came in and decided that AJ and Dove should be partners while Gran and Vermilion would be partners, she stared at his unmoving body.
A nurse came over "you two should leave now, I know you're both worried but students should not be up late." she said trying to reassure them, the news of what happened in the cafeteria spread like wildfire.
On the first day of school and team CRDL was already suspended for 3 months from participating in any school activities.
Dove nodded and looked at Ruby "vell ve better leave Ruby, ve both have to make sure our teams are okay. He'll be here when we wake up" she said trying to get the poor 15 year old gal to move, she didn't like seeing her new partner in a medical bed.
Ruby nodded and got up with Dove, both said their goodbyes to AJ and then proceeded to leave and return to their dorms.
However if they stayed longer they would have noticed a slight twitch in right fingers.
~JNPR dorm, Beacon~
It was in the middle of the night and nothing seemed to be wrong, everyone was asleep and snoring peacefully.
At least that would have been the case.
On the bed that contained the blond male known as Jaune Arc he opened his eyes, he couldn't sleep due to many factors.
One of which is the fact of what transpired today in the cafeteria, he never felt so much... Rage and it took almost all of his willpower to contain it, from seeing AJ be bullied liked that.
He was having trouble sleeping, all he felt was anger boiling and he tried to keep a cool head, he got up from his bed and put on his normal clothes and quietly walked to the window.
Taking the door was too obvious, the window was his best bet.
He silently as he could opened the window and closed it as he exit out of it, not wanting to disturb his friends sleep.
He needed a walk.
~Emerald Forest, night~
Jaune Arc was walking through the woods and the reason is because he needed to vent.
He needed to let his anger loose.
He wanted to let the rage out.
He wanted nothing more than to let go of his frustration.
He wanted something to come up to him and offer themselves...
But what Jaune wanted, what he really wanted...

*Growl* oh look at that some Grimm for him to release his pent up frustration out.
Jaune looked at the approaching Grimm and he stared at them, he placed a hand on the handle of his weapon but he was grinding his teeth, anger building up in him like a boiler ready to explode.
He wanted nothing more than to Rip. Them. To. PIECES.
The amassing amount of Grimm converging on him was increasing as they were getting riled up, a prey had willing wandered into their territory.
But Jaune would not let it happen.
Jaune let out a loud scream.
"RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
It was loud, it was very loud that alerted and woke up any creatures and drew in more Grimm, but there was something off about it...
His scream started to... Become guttural...
"RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" he screamed again but this time it become more and more guttural, almost feral like as he looked at the Grimm with barely contained rage.
The clouds above parted ways to reveal the moon's light shining onto Jaune Arc, but it was brighter than it should have usually been.
Because if Jaune, Grimm or anyone would look up they would the once broken moon... Was Full...
Jaune let out a growl himself as he hunched over, he soon got onto his knees and placed his hands onto the ground to support him.
He groaned in rage but also pain as he looked ahead, focusing his attention only on the creatures of darkness that plagued the lands of Remnant.
He let out a pained groan as his body slowly began to change, his teeth grew sharper to serrated looking spiked teeth, his face slowly was contorting forward in an unnatural way as it changed shape, his shoulders became strained as his skin started to slowly rip open as if he was leaving a shell of sorts behind. His feet grew out of his shoes as they became more elongated and bipedal, his height grew from 6'1 to 8'2 tall, his pants ripped apart as his figure become more and more muscular but also had fur growing as well. His hair was changing to match the fur as his new face became more wolf like, his shirt and armor ripped open for his chest began to grow in sync with the rest of his body there were traces of muscle under all the fur. On top of his head grew out two wolf ears and behind him a wolf tail.
The Grimm, espicially the Beowolves, backed away as they barked, growled, hissed and made all kinds of sounds when they saw their prey change in front of them.
Jaune Arc was no longer human, his once blue eyes were replaced by glowing purple one's that showed nothing but rage, anger, frustration... And bloodlust.
The changed man looked at the Grimm before stood up on two bipedal legs letting out a loud howl, to the full moon...
Jaune Arc, who had entered Beacon Academy, who befriended two people, who had a team and leader of mentioned team, once human...
...is a werewolf.

Subject 1: If any of you are curious as to what I tried to describe Jaune becoming a werewolf, I was thinking of the one from Van Helsing from the 2004 movie starring Hugh Jackman, I love that movie.
Subject 2: Why do I maim AJ? To be honest I was feeling a bit... Moody let's just say, but I'm going through times right now.
Subject 3: Will there be Romance? Yes, it IS rated M for reasons.
Subject 4: Is Jaune the Hybrid? Maybe, maybe not.
Subject 5: Why is Jaune a werewolf or how did he become one? If you've read the last chapter, then you'd know.
Subject 6: Why does the Subject time feel like answering questions? Because I feel like I should give you some answers as to what I'm doing for questions you're going to ask.
