HARRY POTTER, HOLY TERROR

Harry has a different reaction to his near death experience at age nearly seven and become a right little Machiavellian Prince and, as his relatives tell everyone he's a hooligan, he starts bringing their falsehoods to life.

I don't own or derive any material benefit out of Harry Potter or Stargate. This story is not a crossover, though it will feature a certain general from Texas.

Not being American, I know nothing about San Antonio or LA and may get things wrong, a lot. The school is real; the events portrayed are not. Harry has his own views about religion. Harry has reached 11 and is now attending Hogwarts, so may not be correct. That doesn't mean he'll change his views. He is rather stubborn.

Harry James Potter, Lord Potter, Lord Gaunt, Lord Peverell, Heir Black, Heir Crouch, Holder of the Vaults of Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Gryffindor, owner of Hogwarts - he also owned Salem and Ilvermorny in the US as James Hammond - had just finished eating and was drinking a mug of hot chocolate. It was late, coming up to 10pm after the opening feast.

He'd been summoned to see Headmaster Dumbledore after the feast. That did not seem right as in two months, he'd be prosecuting said Dumbledore for Line Theft. Harry took a moment to look at his fellow Hufflepuff first years. He knew Susan, Hannah, Justin, Ernie and Neville quite well. They didn't know him, it seemed. Whatever magic prevented them from knowing that he was Harry Potter, now stopped them from knowing that he was also James Hammond. Megan, Lily, Sally-Anne and Wayne he did not know. He would attend to that very quickly.

What was this? Dumbledore was saying Filch was caretaker. He'd been fired. Harry was sure he had been? Seriously? Those who did not wish to die a terrible death should avoid the third floor corridor. That was an open challenge to the school, not just the brain dead Gryffindors. Half the school would have visited the corridor by the end of the week and everyone would know what was in there.

The school then sang the school song. Harry covered his ears from the din. Dumbledore claimed that was music and a higher magic than any 'we do here'. Dumbledore then departed.

Harry saw Malfoy and Crabbe and Goyle, his bodyguards, approach his table.

"Potter," Malfoy began. "I can show you the right sort of wizards to associate with." Harry considered his response. With the murders of Lords Black and Malfoy, the Black Alliance had lost House Malfoy and the two noble Wizengamot Houses of Crabbe and Goyle. Crabbe and Goyle owed the Malfoys a million galleons. Harry could buy them back, but he didn't want to add funds to those of a Death Eater like Lucius. Oh, he claimed to be under the Imperious, but no-one believed him.

"I will take your offer under advisement Scion Malfoy," Harry said. He'd heard Remus use those words in his negotiations with various Houses. "Don't you find it a bit presumptuous as a member of a Noble House to be giving advice to the Lord of a Noble and Most Ancient House, especially as the three of your Houses recently left my alliance. I suggest you leave, now."

Snape had rushed over to defend his three new Slytherins.

"What seems to be the problem here?"

"Potter just insulted me," Malfoy said.

"No, he didn't," Ernie interjected. "This is House business and you are not needed, so go away, Professor."

Harry noticed Dumbledore had returned and was preventing Sprout from coming to the aid of her badgers. Ernie, Neville, Hannah and Susan rose to stand beside Harry. House Hufflepuff was mustering to defend their first years.

Neville started the chant," We are the Black Alliance, you three are members of Houses that broke away from us, so unless you want a blood feud declared against you, leave." The chant was repeated by the members of the Black Alliance in Hufflepuff. It was taken up by three in Slytherin who rose to join their alliance members and by four Weasleys in Gryffindor.

Malfoy and co hadn't moved. Harry said, conversationally. "You know, Malfoy, I wouldn't be too happy with Snape standing behind me, since your grandfather was murdered six months after Snape was released from Azkaban. Died of Dragon Pox, did he? How many potions of the cure for that have you got in your manor house, Malfoy?"

Malfoy gave Snape a very pointed look. Harry picked up on that. He'd be sending an owl to Amelia about this. Malfoy did retreat to the Slytherin table. The Slytherins looked daggers drawn at the three Black Alliance Houses standing in their house. The entire Hufflepuff contingent was looking daggers drawn at the Slytherins. They, second years and up, all had their wands at the ready. Snape withdrew to the Head table. Quirrell was looking on with interest. Lucius becoming Lord Malfoy had certainly given his Master a boost. Sprout was sporting a very broad smile. Dumbledore was no longer doing the twinkling of the eye. The incursion of Wizengamot politics into Hogwarts was a most unwelcome development. Had he still been Chief Warlock, he could have immediately banned it. As it was, he had no way to stop it. To his surprise, it had been Neville Longbottom who had initiated it.

Harry needed parchment and a quill. Hermione had some parchment and a quill. She let Harry use a piece of parchment and a quill. Harry wrote a message to Amelia Bones to the effect that Malfoy had fingered Snape as the murderer of his grandfather. He then dashed off to the owlery to send Hedwig off with it. Neville came with him.

Harry and Neville went down to the Hufflepuff dorm, where Tonks was waiting for them. She showed them how to enter. Harry saw Neville holding up a remembrall. He told Neville he'd have to remember it and would. He couldn't use a memory device as that would let others get in from other houses. Neville seemed to take heart from Harry's words. Harry smirked, as a Remembrall didn't work like that.

Harry entered his room. He locked the door, changed and got into bed. He set his 'timer' for 7AM. He slept, almost from the moment his head touched the pillow, until just before 7. He showered and dressed and went into the common room. He chatted with the other first years including the 4 he didn't already know. Other years wanted to greet him, too. Harry was soon surrounded. Rescue came from Professor Sprout. She handed out timetables to each year in turn. Soon only the first years were left. Harry looked at his timetable:

Monday: Charms, Transfiguration, History of Magic with double DADA in the afternoon.

Tuesday: Double Herbology

Wednesday: Transfiguration, Charms with Astronomy evening and night time

Thursday: afternoon Double Potions

Friday: History of Magic afternoon Flying

"Professor Sprout, where are the etiquette lessons?"

"Headmaster Dumbledore decided not to hold them."

"Not his choice."

"Speaking of choice, Mr Potter, the headmaster summoned you for a meeting yesterday. He expects to see you before breakfast this morning. You must attend."

"Professor, in just under two months I prosecute Dumbledore for Line Theft. I will not meet him for any reason, before that case."

"Mr Potter, don't make me give you detentions and deduct House points."

"Don't make me laugh, Professor. In the first place, I'm a Legacy student. In the second, last night I saw you fail to perform your Head of House duties. Be Dumbles' lickspittle and you will go down with him."

Pomona Sprout flinched as though struck. If Potter was intent on being a headlong trainwreck with the Headmaster, she would get out of his way. She would, however, tell the Headmaster to keep his distance as per the regulations governing prosecutors and defendants. She went off to tell him that.

Harry went to eat breakfast. He remembered to keep his timetable with him. He was pleased to see all the double period lessons were with Ravenclaw. Astronomy was taught to the entire year group. He had a lot of free time. This was a mere basic timetable compared to what he'd seen at Ilvermorny, which had a lot more pupils and many more teachers.

His class mates were pleased to see him. They chatted about the Castle, the moving stairs in particular. Then it was back to their dorm to pick up their timetables and books for the morning lessons. Charms flew by. Flitwick was a demanding, but fair teacher. Transfiguration with McGonagall had Harry on edge. Strangely, McGonagall did not demand he go see Dumbledore. Harry wasn't going to relax about it.

Lunch was disturbed by Ministry Aurors and Madam Bones coming in and taking Draco Malfoy and Severus Snape away. Harry noticed that Quirrell was absent. Sadly, he hadn't left the Castle. He was present for the afternoon DADA lesson. Harry couldn't believe the stutter on the man. He could hardly understand him. Harry noticed that Quirrell stared at him. HhHa

Harry had four essays to write. He and the rest of the Hufflepuffs all went to the Library. Hermione Granger was already there and had a stack of books in front of her. Madam Pince would not allow them to talk to each other or take the books out of the library. Harry was surprised to see another girl with Hermione. Eventually with lots of stage whispers and notes being passed around all 12 completed 4 essays and put their books back. Each essay was the requested foot in length. Even Hermione's.

The 12 then found an unused classroom and settled in. Harry learned that the girl's name was Su Li. He said hello. Hermione then said that a number of people in the classroom had met up for study sessions. Harry complained about Binns and Quirrell. He said he was sure they weren't teaching the agreed ICW curriculum. He'd owl the ICW for course curriculum for year one's in all 7 subjects. He also complained about not having etiquette and wizarding traditions taught and Filch still being employed.

Harry suggested to Ernie and Hannah that the Black Alliance hold regular faction meetings. They agreed. Neville had already left to fetch the Weasleys and the Slytherins. He found them having an argument. He gave them the message that there was a Black Alliance faction meeting and they were to follow him. Follow him they did. When asked by Percy Weasley what non faction members were doing, present, Harry answered that they were doing a study group on Wizengamot factions.

Harry took his faction through what had happened at the Wizengamot just a day ago. He had to admit that Dumbledore had lost his Order of Merlin as had Pettigrew and they'd been awarded to Harry Potter and Lily Potter, posthumously. Harry had retorted that Dumbledore had been voted dead Pettigrew's seat for a decade. He said that later the Order of Merlin had deposed Dumbledore as Grand Sorcerer and transferred the title to Harry Potter.

Ludo Bagman had been reappointed as ICW representative and had attended his first meeting and gave a brief report. Augusta Longbottom as Chief Warlock had kept a firm check on proceeding. Harry then told them about his pretrial of Albus Dumbledore for Line Theft. He won the vote. Albus was remanded into custody, but his phoenix had flamed him out of the Chamber.

Harry took them through the standard commercial votes ranging from cauldron's to Knockturn Alley's charging lower prices to purebloods. Hermione had interrupted to say that shops in Diagon Ally did that as well. She then apologised.

Harry then told the faction that on 1st November he'd be prosecuting Albus Dumbledore for Line Theft. He then asked for questions or comments from his faction members. Percy talked about cauldrons. Everyone except Harry groaned.

"Imagine you've bought a potion to fix something wrong with you and it's been made in a substandard cauldron. The potion could have impurities from the cauldron in it making it less effective or worse, fatal. Percy is absolutely right to be concerned about cauldrons."

Percy preened himself in self-importance. The twins looked at Percy like he'd grown an extra head. Ron's mouth just opened and closed like a fish out of water. Susan asked Harry about the note he'd received. Harry explained that was Dumbledore summoning him to a meeting to which he did not go nor one this morning. Susan's eyes narrowed.

Ron finally asked why with Bill the Heir was he including them in his meeting. Harry responded by saying that when Bill became Lord Weasley, he might wish to continue working for Gringotts and ask one of you Weasleys to act as his proxy. The twins grinned, wickedly.

One by one, Harry's faction members spoke. Some were critical of his presentation. Harry responded critically to their points. All of his members had spoken at least once and he told the 'study group' that was how a faction meeting went. They had dutifully been taking notes. Harry knew that by tomorrow night everyone in Hogwarts would know he was prosecuting Dumbledore and that had been his main goal. Harry closed the session by saying that they could meet up again mid-month, because that was when the minutes of the previous meeting and agenda of the next meeting would be available.

Amelia Bones had been working late into the early hours of the morning, when a snowy white owl had arrived with a note from Lord Potter-Gaunt to the effect that young Malfoy had fingered Snape for the murder of Lord Abraxas Malfoy.

She had immediately sent aurors to arrest Lord Lucius Malfoy on charges of conspiracy to commit murder. Lucius had acted all annoyed at being woken up in the middle of the night as he called it.

Amelia interviewed him herself, with Aurors Scrimgeour and Robards in attendance. Auror Jones was transcribing the interview. Amelia went through the formal process and then asked him,

"How many potions to cure Dragon Pox do you have in your manor house?" Her aurors had found 20 during the search.

"A couple of dozen," Lucius answered.

"How come none were used to cure your father of Dragon Pox?"

"There was not time."

"Dragon Pox is not an instant killer." Lucius squirmed. "You benefited from his death, becoming Lord and gaining access to your family's vast wealth. You took your family out of the Black Alliance and took two houses heavily in debt to yours out as well."

"You can have them back for a million galleons," Lucius sneered. "That's what they owe House Malfoy."

"What was your father doing on the day he died?"

"Meeting with others to discuss matters he did not divulge with me."

"Did that make you angry?"

"What's that supposed to mean? I think I need legal representation present."

The interview was suspended for the couple of hours it took Malfoy's legal representative to arrive.

Amelia restated the question, "Did the fact your father had not told you who he was meeting and what the meeting was to be about anger you, Lord Malfoy?"

"Of course it didn't." Actually, it had made Lucius furious.

"Did your father usually keep you, his then heir, in the dark about what he was doing?"

"No, he did not."

"That would haver angered me or most people. Why didn't it anger you?"

"I was already angry. I told my father that House Malfoy ought not belong to the Black Alliance."

"You knew he was meeting with the Black family on the day he died."

"Yes. I told him he should not go?"

"Why did you tell him that?"

"They died as well on that day."

"Dragon Pox as well. A curiously targeted Dragon Pox outbreak that killed 5 people, instantly. A strain that virulent should have killed the entirety of Diagon Alley or all the people in it. The question is why did you have a fraudulent cause of death put on the Death Certificate?"

"The then Chief Warlock suggested that that cause of death would be better."

"Yes, I suppose Dragon Pox is a better cause of death than poison due to murder."

"Are you accusing my client of murder?" the lawyer asked.

"Oh no," Amelia said, cheerfully. "Draco has already fingered Severus Tobias Snape as the murderer."

"The stupid little shit. I knew I should have obliviated him," Lucius said, angrily. Lucius was tired. His lawyer paled. So did Lucius once he realised what he had said. Amelia had what she wanted. Christmas had come early. Lucius and his lawyer were taken back to a Ministry holding cell.

Head of Department Bones would be taking a dozen aurors with her to Hogwarts. She would have to deal with McGonagall what with Dumbledore being a fugitive from Justice. Minerva proved amenable to allowing aurors come in and take Draco and Severus away.

That was exactly what they did. Draco had a legally trained representative from Wizarding Child Services in attendance, when Draco was questioned.

Draco sang like a canary. He'd overheard Snape, his godfather, talking with his father about killing the Blacks and his grandfather. Draco had been delighted that Blood Traitors were being eliminated. He heard his father try to persuade his grandfather not to go to the meeting. In the event, grandfather had to order father to shut up about it. She could not get Lucius for his father, but she could charge him for the 4 Blacks murdered.

She would have fun charging Severus with five murders. Snape denied everything. Amelia had the case file all ready. As it involved House Black, the prepared case file was copied across to them. Steward Lupin collected the case file and took it back to base to read.

Just when Amelia Bones was ready to celebrate a job well done, the Minister arrived with three pardons in his hands. One for Lucius Malfoy. One for Draco Malfoy and one for Severus Snape. The three had opted for guilty pleas and a pardon. Amelia seethed inside. No doubt Fudge's retirement fund had grown by a sizeable amount. Amelia settled for sending an update to the case file, with Pardons attached. She could only imagine Steward Lupin's face on receiving the update.

Remus Lupin sent the sable owl with a message for Harry. Harry would get it as he sat down for supper. He read the note.

Lucius Malfoy pardoned for conspiring to murder Lord Arcturus Black, Druella Black, Cygnus Black III and Cassiopeia Black. Draco Malfoy for the same. Severus Tobias Snape for their murders and for the murder of Lord Abraxas Malfoy.

The owl did not wait for a reply. It flew off. Harry was stunned. They'd got them and then corrupt Fudge had sprung them. He allowed his Hufflepuff faction members to read the note. As this wasn't one of the sit at your own table meals, the rest of his faction was seated with him. Even the normally Ministry supporting Percy Weasley was heard to mutter "The corrupt fucker".

Harry waited for the end of the meal for Malfoy to come sauntering over with his two bodyguards. Sure enough he did, with Snivellus right behind him. Harry snorted. This was getting tiresome. Harry rose and advanced on Malfoy. When the boy was in range, he kicked him in the groin. Malfoy dropped to the floor and writhed around in agony. Harry swept Goyle's legs and dodged a punch Crabbe threw. He jabbed his fingers into Crabbe's eyes, causing the boy to drop to the floor, grasping at his eyes. Snape's wand was out, ready to cast a spell. Harry willed Strength into his hand and flipped Snape's wand hand turning the wizard over. He followed that up with a stunner that sent Snape into the side wall at quite a pace. He did a full body bind on Malfoy and did the banishing spell.

Harry saw Dumbledore raise his wand and Harry sent a wandless and silent disarming curse right at Dumbledore. Dumbledore did not appear to see it coming, concentrating instead on firing a stunner at Harry. Dumbledore was seated in the throne he sat in. It did not fly back. Dumbledore's head did, knocking him out. Harry caught the Elder Wand with his left hand. He now had all three of the Deathly Hallows, making him the Master of Death. He didn't need the artefacts; the Vampires already called him the Master of Death.

A fifth year Slytherin sent a spell Harry's way, which he dodged. He sent a tripping curse at the boy, which struck and the Slytherin fell over. Harry left the Great Hall, followed by his faction. Ron was saying how cool Harry's casting had been. Harry did not feel happy. He'd revealed more than he'd wanted to.

Dumbledore awoke in the infirmary. He was not alone. Four Slytherin boys and their Head of House were in neighbouring beds. Madam Pomfrey was going from bed to bed, administering the medications needed. Minerva poked her head around the door. Dumbledore beckoned her to him and when so came close he asked her to persuade Mr Potter to return his wand to him.

Harry slept well behind his defences. McGonagall made all the students sit at their house tables. Dumbledore, Snape and the four Slytherins were still missing. Harry decided that McGonagall's actions contrary to the Charter would be dealt with by the Governors and that he would not fiendfyre the Slytherin table until all the house was present, less the members of his faction.

Hermione Granger had read the rulebook aka The Hogwarts Charter and memorized it. Her respect for authority figures had taken a plunge. She'd witnessed Dumbledore about to cast a spell at Harry's back. Now, McGonagall had broken the Charter by preventing students sitting where they were invited to, which they could, except at the big feasts. She was astounded when McGonagall compounded her mistake by suspending Harry from Hogwarts, informing him that Remus Lupin would be arriving to take Harry home. She then informed Lord Potter that Wizengamot factions were not allowed in Hogwarts and his so-called study group did not have permission to be formed. Hermione was astounded.

Harry continued to eat his breakfast. He went through calming meditation techniques. He wished so much he could just blast McGonagall into the middle of next week and fiendfyre the Slytherin table. Eventually, McGonagall gave up trying to get Harry to answer her and stormed off, visibly angry. He had just finished, when in burst Severus Snape.

"200 points from Hufflepuff, Potter and detention with me every night to the end of the year."

"Challenged. Also challenged every point you've ever awarded or deducted, Snape, since you first became a Professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry."

Harry then made his way to McGonagall's office. In it, he found Professor Sprout arguing with McGonagall. Steward Lupin and Ted Tonks were observing, for now. Sprout was arguing for Harry, something that pleased said Harry. Sprout did not appear to be getting through to Minerva McGonagall. McGonagall spotted Harry.

"Go pack your bags, Potter."

"Legacy student, Deputy Headmistress," Harry retorted, coldly. "There were several things Hogwarts did not do. You failed to provide me with the pamphlets provided to students raised outside of the magical world. You didn't visit me to introduce me to magic. You didn't provide me with a rule book."

"You were with Lupin, when you received your Hogwarts letter."

"Steward Lupin. Didn't raise me. I was left on my relatives doorstep. I was not raised with the magical world."

"I am sorry about that, Mr Potter. I told Albus they were the worst sort of muggles."

"You were there!" Harry screamed. "Who else was there who didn't stop me being left there?"

"Hagrid flew you in on Sirius' motor cycle. Now, your behaviour this evening was most reprehensible. We do not allow fighting in this school."

"Fighting no, but bullying yes. I won't fight them next time."

"I'm relieved to hear that."

"No, Professor. I will kill them as my status permits." Lupin's eyes widened. This was not the 'I'm going to prank you' James whom he'd known in his youth. This was a fiery version of his mother, Lily. "You want to ban my faction from meeting. The only non-Wizengamot seat holder on the board of Governors is Lucius Malfoy. I understand he's Chairman, thanks to a casting vote from Albus Dumbledore. The Study Group is lead by Susan Bones. This matter will be put before next month's Governors meeting."

"It will not be on the Agenda for that meeting," McGonagall sounded almost joyous.

"Lucius Malfoy is a pardoned felon. He is not eligible to be Chairman nor sit on the Board of Governors. Draco Malfoy is a pardoned felon. He is not eligible to be educated at Hogwarts. Severus Snape is a pardoned felon. He is not eligible to be employed by Hogwarts, in any capacity whatsoever," Ted Tonks stated. "Albus Dumbledore is a fugitive from Justice. He may not interact with the Board of Governors, in any capacity." Tonks added, for good measure, twisting the knife.

McGonagall paled. She had not known. "Albus requests you return his wand to him, Mr Potter."

Harry considered. "I suppose I could allow Dumbledore to use this wand in exchange for his expelling Crabbe and Goyle."

"I shall present your offer to Albus. Now, I must insist on your not staying in school tonight."

Harry was thinking about the school's governing board. "Thank you, Professor, for allowing me to stay at another location tonight. I will see what you have decided tomorrow. I would request an escort, since I think Slytherin will be lying in wait for me."

McGonagall and Harry's steward and lawyer escorted Harry to retrieve his stuff. Harry gathered his case with everything packed, left his wards active and locked his door, magically. It was another example of wandless and soundless magic. Then he left Hogwarts to the cheering and jeers from Slytherin.

The portraits that witnessed Harry's magic passed that information back to Dumbledore. He was more and more convinced that Tom had taken possession of Mr Potter. Dumbledore could no longer consider the boy to be Harry. Not any longer. He had to have Mr Potter in Hogwarts where he could deal with him.

Harry and party returned to 12 Grimmauld Place. Harry tried summoning a Potter House-Elf. None came.

"Remus, none of my House-Elves will answer my summons."

Tonks answered, "You're blocked from accessing your Potter properties until you're 21 and that includes the House-Elves you sent there. Now tell us why you let them have a victory."

"Dumbledore is going to want his wand back. We're going to need an emergency faction meeting. Tonight. Dumbledore can't interact with the Governors. That means we can pack the Board with our faction members. We've only got one Governor and that's Regent Longbottom."

"Removing 3 Dark governors doesn't mean that we can pack the Board. Of the six Light governors, only Diggory is sound and he'll join us, if we'll back his bid for Minister. The six Dark - Malfoy, Crabbe, Goyle, Bulstrode, Parkinson and Flint are all Death Eaters."

"We can remove 4 of the Light Governors. We have 4 in our faction who can be elected: Bones, MacMillan, Abbott and Ogden. For the Dark we have Greengrass, Davis and Zabini."

"That should work." Lupin went off to send the owls. Tonks wanted Harry to tell him where he'd been. Harry would not. Kreacher brought in some snacks for Harry. Harry desperately wanted to be able to contact Fred and Claudette and his sisters Kayla and Tessa, both born 29 March 1991. Harry realised that he'd left his kneazle, Algernon, at Hogwarts. It would only be the night. The kneazle barely tolerated him, as it was. Merlin only knew how he'd react to being abandoned.

Lupin fetched the work from his school in Crawley at the 'to Harry' PO Box number. They'd sent him the work for the entire term. That wasn't quite what he had in mind. Lupin still hadn't looked at the property in Hogsmeade. He was slightly busy. His main work, as he told Harry, was to find Voldie's lair in Albania. That was the best they had. That had been where Dumbledore had sent Quirrell.

The faction was quite keen on taking over the Board of Governors. Griselda Marchbanks volunteered to find out if 'the best magical school in the world' claim, was justified in any of the years Dumbledore had been Headmaster. The list was prepared with one change, Fawley for Ogden. It had been a couple of decades since there was last an Ogden's at Hogwarts. Sullivan Fawley was in Hufflepuff as well, in the year ahead of Harry's.

Those on the 'way out' list were relieved to have got out. They were paid what they had paid in. Amos Diggory was delighted to become a member of the Black Alliance.

About the same time, Severus Snape was berating Albus Dumbledore.

"But you promised I would stay at Hogwarts as a professor. Albus you cannot fire me."

"I'm sorry, Severus. The Hogwarts Charter is very clear on the matter. You will have to leave, I'm afraid. Immediately." Severus Snape swirled out of Dumbledore's office, his cloak billowing behind him. Within 30 minutes, he was packed and out of the Castle. He apparated home.

Minerva McGonagall entered a few minutes after Snape left.

"Albus, Mr Potter will return your wand, if you expel Crabbe and Goyle. Malfoy's pardon has already removed him."

"I suppose Minerva that we shall have to rehire Slugthorn. Yes, he'll gloat, a lot. Better send the owl. We shall have to lift Potter's suspension and expel Crabbe and Goyle. We'll have to trigger the emergency Governor election procedure that covers the first month into a school year. Summon the Malfoys, Crabbes and Goyles. Send the letters removing the three fathers as Governors and notify the Daily Prophet. Send Potter an owl. I must show good faith and make the first step. I think we shall have to allow Potter's faction meetings with the Heirs. There will be more students taking NEWT Potions. They too will need to be informed."

"I shall get right on it, Albus."

Minerva rehired Horace Slugthorn. She did that via the floo in her office. Much quicker than letters. Slugthorn brought his stuff through the floo with him. He signed his contract with a flourish. Then it was down to the dungeons and clear up whatever mess Snape had left. The students were informed.

Minerva completed all the paperwork and flooed the Malfoys. They came to collect Draco. Then she dealt with the Crabbes and finally the Goyles. Mr Potter was not connected to the floo system. An owl had to take the letter to him.

As she was working on the Press Release to the Daily Prophet, 4 owls arrived notifying her of the resignations of 4 of the Light Governors, with immediate effect. Minerva amended the Press Release accordingly. An owl took the letter to the Daily Prophet.

The Daily Prophet printed the Hogwarts Press Release as its top story. It included the news that the Black Alliance was fielding seven candidates with their names and blood status. The Black Alliance had not included blood status in its letter to the Daily Prophet. They were all Pureblood.

Harry was up at 7 the next morning. He was pleased to see positive coverage of the Black Alliance in the Daily Prophet for a change. He let himself do a fist pump, when Remus read him the letter from Hogwarts. After a good breakfast, Remus apparated Harry and his trunk to Hogsmeade. They looked over the house in Hogsmeade and Harry thought it ideal for his Crawley school work.

They cast wards on the property and then made their way to Hogwarts. Harry handed over the wand for Dumbledore's use and entered Hogwarts. He and Remus were confronted by 10 aurors with their wands drawn.

Auror John Dawlish announced, "Harry James Potter, you are under arrest for assault on Draco Malfoy, Vincent Crabbe, Gregory Goyle and Severus Tobias Snape. Hand over your wand."

Well that wasn't the reception that Harry had been expecting.

A/N A guide to the 40 in Harry's year. I'm aware it is slightly AU.
