Harrison's POV
His wand was drawn a second later and dark curses left his lips. Both he and Gellert stood side by side. Together they had his father on the defensive. It was something that rarely happened unless his father was dueling with Dumbledore.
Curses known and unknown by the boy were being cast at them. He noted that his father specifically targeting the former Dark Lord. More than once Harrison had to pull Gellert out of the way.
Less than a minute later had Malcolm joining them in the duel. Though the wizard had to watch their backs as the Death Eaters encircled them. They were looking to get in the battle as well.
Harrison could see Bellatrix Black trying to get a clear shot on him. Wait... where was his brother. Just as the thought hit him he sensed a dark spell coming. Silently thanking his wolf sense he side stepped it.
His brother was dueling Malcolm. It seemed his brother tried to take advantage his preoccupation. A grin that looked very wolf like he grabbed Malcolm by his arm. They switched positions so that Harrison was dueling his brother and father's left hand.
No matter what the Death Eater though he was the better duelist. Damien could have been better if their family didnt spoil the brat. Harrison had to work for every ounce of praise he received. Even that was few and far between.
Harrison didnt give his brother an inch to fight back. It was all he could do to stay on his feet. His spell repitor was not nearly as long as Harrison's. More than once he was thrown off his feet and had to be helped up by Death Eaters.
A rough hand pulled on his collar. Turning he came face to face with Fenrir. Amber eyes clashed against green. They both snarled at each other.
Grindelwald snarled as the two wolves faced off, "Dont start that now. Harrison you've got to get out of here! We will catch up!"
His inner wolf wanted to come out again. On the other hand his human side knew that Gellert was right. Fighting with a false wolf had to come second.
Still if they wanted to get away it would have to be done by running. To run he would need to break through the line of Death Eaters. Then everyone was shocked by a certain old detective. The one Harrison imprinted on would give them the chance to get away.
Quent had seen his chance to get close to Harrison's father. The man kicked the back of the wizard's knees. This caused Marvolo's knees to buckle out from under him. In his brief distraction a stunner hit Marvolo in his chest.
From there the remaining members of the pack attack the Death Eaters. Without their leader it didnt take much to break free of the line. Once they were clear the wolves flipped back into their furred skin. Quent moved swiftly to keep up with them.
Marvolo's POV
It had only taken a few moments for his magic to break free of the spell. His men were running about trying to heal or envernate the others who fell. Admittedly he should have expected his son to have allies traveling with him.
Wolves typically ran with packs after all and his son was no exception to the rule. Marvolo saw the way the large group of wolves had run away at the sight of them. At first he had been disappointed in their lack of loyalty to his son. Why he was loyal to them if he didnt get the same in return wasnt understood by him.
Being attacked by the supposedly defeated Dark Lord had caught him off guard. Gellert Grindelwald looked rugged and as if the life was draining from him. For someone who spent several decades in prison the old man surprisingly strong in magic.
His son, Grindelwald, and Malcolm had good teamwork. The three were skilled and were able to take down many of his men as well as keeping him back. Then he was kicked in the back of his knees. In his distraction he had been stunned. Out of all the people that could have taken him down it had to be a squib.
Bellatrix question with a low bow, "My lord, should we go after them? Curse them for the disrespect?"
Marvolo watched as the wolves became nothing more than specks in the horizon, "No. We will follow them but from afar for the moment."
"But father!"
Marvolo stared at Damien coldly as he snapped, "If you had been stronger and more competent then maybe we would have captured your brother. It seems that the praises from your tutors was unearned."
Damien's head bent low as he mumbled, "My apologies father. I just dont see why we have to go after Harrison. Any wolf would do right? Why not go after a weaker wolf?"
Marvolo opened his mouth to tell him off again. Then really thought about the idea but not as a way to find Paradise. Instead as a way to make his son work with them.
"That's not necessarily a bad idea, Damien. Instead of being a way to open the gates of Paradise. They will be a way to force Harrison to toe the line. Find me a young wolf as my son has a bleeding heart for the young."
"Yes, my lord!"
