A/N: Guyyyys :D It's me! OMG OMG OMG! I'm actually mortified that like all of you guys left and won't read anything I do anymore :( I hope you haven't forgotten about me because I haven't forgotten about you!

For a tiny bit of context: I've recently gotten back into Star Wars (clone wars mainly you know me), because I've been showing it to my girlfriend. Now I'm back and working on a huge project I think you'll love love love. For more like, actual context ya'll can just read my bio.

I'm just tesing the waters with this little one shot, but expect the first chapter or two of the big project soon :) I promise it's in the works!

And please please please reach out to me. You guy's support means the world to me and I need it now more than ever! So if you liked this pretty pretty please review so I know you're there! And I always love getting PMs as well :)

Thank you guys for everything and I hope you have a great day!

(Side note: If it's not obvious I'm taking Astronomy now and I show that off a bit in this chapter. My sister said it was really annoying but I wanted Ahsoka to be smart so :( Apologies in advance. Now onto the show!)

Anakin Skywalker was walking down the halls of the Temple, listening to the soft pattering of rain on the windows. It was late, most Jedi were asleep by now, but he could sense that a certain someone was still wide awake.

He knocked on her door.

She could sense it was him. "Come in," She called.

The blast door opened and he took her in. She was sitting cross-legged on her bed on the other side of the room, surrounded by text books, papers and a couple data pads.

"Whatcha working on?" He asked.

Ahsoka bit her pen and she looked down upon her work. "Homework." She answered simply.

He leaned on the doorway, smiling at her with his arms crossed. "Can I help?"

She laughed, not looking up. "I don't think you'd be interested, Master."

"Oh, c'mon. What is it?"

"Cosmology."

"Oh." His face contorted just as she looked up expectantly.

She rolled her eyes, annoyed, and went back to writing. "Urg." She growled.

"Well, I mean-" he walked to her desk and picked up her lightsaber. The blast door hissed shut behind him as he started to toy with the hilt. "Isn't that sort of…sacrilegious?"

She glared at him. "They wouldn't be teaching it if it was."

He scoffed, holding up a hand in defense and setting down the lightsaber. "Alright, whatever, whatever. You want help?"

Wordlessly the girl scooted over as Anakin sat down next to her. It was dark, the only light in the room came streaming in through the blinds, the blueish glow of the moons and the colorful flashing lights of speeders passing by, and of course the dim light from the datapad. Ahsoka tilted it towards her master so he could read.

Holy Force.

"What even is that?"

She chuckled. "It's quite simple actually. This is the recessional velocity, here, this axis? And this is the relative distance of the spiral galaxies in question. You measure the velocity by observing the emission and absorption spectra lines emitted by the stars inside the galaxies," She looked at him. "Mostly just hydrogen, some calcium though." Then back to her work. "Then we take the velocity which is measured in kilometers per second per megaparsec and convert it to years, then we use backwards math to calculate the age of the universe. Easy right?"

Anakin was dead silent.

"But I'm struggling with my stupid graph. Measuring galaxies millions of light years away was harder than I thought." She joked, then raised a brow at the silence. "…Master?"

"Do you…have any other classes?"

She didn't catch on to his despair and switched tabs on her data pad to more complex notes. "Well I have quantum physics too, I guess. You could help me with subatomic particles and stuff!" She smiled.

The Knight let out a breath, finally laughing and resting his chin on his fist. "I wouldn't even know where to begin, Snips.

She looked disappointed. "Really?"

He shouldered her playfully. "Oh, stop, you're so insulting. What about math? I get math."

"Oh. Um- I'm in Ap Calc."

His mouth hung agape and he met her eyes. "How do you even have time for all this?"

She shrugged, going back to cosmology and pulling up the chart of the galaxy. "I dunno."

"So there's nothing I can help you with?"
"Not at the moment, no."

Anakin took a deep breath and put his arm on her back. "Ok then, 'Soka. Don't stay up too late." He patted it as he got up to leave. But about to, he turned and stood by the door, looking back at her for a second.

She was already back in her own world, her eyes darting wildly on the page as she studied the graph.

The Knight beamed, something rising in his chest. He allowed himself to watch her for a moment more. Suddenly she smiled to herself and looked up at him.

"Get out of here, you creep."

He chuckled and left without another word.

It had been an hour or so. Anakin had changed into simpler, comfier clothes and had been resting in his quarters when he remembered his padawan. He couldn't let her stay up all night, so he headed back down to her quarters, preparing to lecture her and send her to bed.

He knocked gently on her door and opened it after there was no response.

"Oh, Ahsoka." He laughed quietly.

She was out cold on her bed, surrounded still by all her work. He walked to her as quietly as possible, carefully taking her books and papers off the bed and stacking them neatly on her desk. Then he returned to her. Her thin blankets were bunched up at the foot of her bed. He laid them over her small, sleeping form and sat next to her, tucking in her shoulders.

She flinched at the sound of the bed creaking, her eyes fluttering open as she groaned sleepily.
"Shh, Ahsoka." He whispered.

At the sound of his voice she rolled over in alarm. "M..aster? Oh god-did I fall asleep-?" She started to sit up.

"Shh." He hushed her again, gently pushing her back by her shoulder.

She tried to fight against him. "I have to finish-"

"No, Ahsoka." He said, a bit firmer. He brought the blankets back up to her chin. "You need to rest. I know you're tired."

"But-"

"That's an order."

"I can sleep tomorrow night."

"If you don't sleep I'll call you in sick, Snips. Now rest."

Ahsoka frowned, trying to look serious but finding she couldn't keep her eyes open any longer.

"See? You're tired."
"Am..not."

He scoffed, then cupped her cheek in his gloved hand and lowered his voice. "I'm proud of you, Ahsoka."

Her features stayed the same, but he could feel her smile against his palm. She meant to say something but couldn't. Everything was getting fuzzy and slow, she heard his voice but whatever he said slurred together.

"There you go." He murmured, his thumb tracing circles over her white wings.

Anakin sat next to his padawan as the night drew on, patiently waiting for her to sleep. Soon enough her breathing slowed and the muscles in her face relaxed.

He leaned down and touched his lips to her forehead.

"Goodnight, Snips." He whispered.
