The next morning I wake up and get ready. I put on a black t-shirt dress with a long denim jacket and knee high boots. My hair is in a messy bun.
I make my way to the boarding house and as I walk into the hall I hear Rose and Damon talking. "Hello." I call out as I entering the living room and see Rose on the couch looking pale and sweating profusely with Damon standing above her. "What happened?" I ask rushing over.
"Werewolf bite." Rose whispers.
"No! What, how, when?"
"Last night, that wolf chick you were drinking with at the bar bit her." Damon answers.
"What wolf chick? Jules, the stranger from the bar?" I ask angrily. He nods. "Why did she bite her?"
"I may or may not have tried to spike her drink with wolfsbane."
"You didn't?" I ask loudly. "You're an idiot now look at what you did, now she's going to."
"It's okay Brie." Rose inturpts.
"Not it's not, you just got your freedom you should be living." I argue.
"I've lived over 500 years, I'll be fine."
"Can you give us a moment?" I ask Damon. He nods and leaves. "What happened?"
"The wolf marked Damon and tried to bite him, I tackled the wolf and got bit in the process and she ran away and now here we are."
"I'm going to help you but you have to trust me." I whisper softly. She looks at me confused, but nods. "Good." I smile. I quickly type in my phone and show it to her. "Its time for me to tell you my story but not here."
"What?" She mouths.
"Do you trust me?" I mouth her. She nods. "We are leaving town, save your strength. Snap Damons neck when he gets back and meet me in my car." I show her the message.
She nods her head. "Okay."
"Damon." Rose calls out.
Damon flashes inside as I make my way to the front door. I walk outside and moments later a sweaty and tired Rose appears. "Come on Rose let's get you healed."
Several hours later I arrive at a mansion in Georgia. "Are you going to tell me why we are in Georgia?" Rose asks groggily from the passenger seat.
"You remember how I told you that I am seeing someone?" I ask her. She nods gently. "Well I'm taking you to the person that has the cure for a werewolf bite and who we've been wanting to stop coming to Mystic Falls." I announce.
She sits up. "What are you talking about?"
"A year ago I met a man that changed my life. He found me unconcious and bleeding out in an alleyway in New York City. He saved my life and from that moment on I fell in love with him." I explain. "A few months past and he told me his secret he was a vampire an old one actually, he was an Original."
"You're dating an Original?"
"Yes and the most feared."
"Wait, what?"
"I know everything about the sacrifice and I'm helping him break it."
"That's why you weren't scared when Trevor and I took you." she whispers. "You're dating Klaus."
"Yes and before you freak out, he won't hurt you, I wont allow him to." I promise. "I'm going to keep everyone I love alive, whilst letting him break his curse, and I'm going to get him to heal you."
"But he's the most feared." She argues.
"If he ever wants to have sex with me again he will heal you and then you can go off and live a life without running."
"Why would you do this?"
"Because you're my friend and I help my friends."
"But he's coming after you."
"He's not coming after me he's coming after Elena."
"You'd kill your own sister?" she asks in shock.
"You havent lived the life I have." I defend. "Living in her shadow, my parent's always favoured her, I was always second choice." I explain. "When I moved and met Klaus, he brought out the strength inside of me and transformed me into someone that fights for what I want."
"Weren't you skeptical?"
"Of course I was." I confirm. "I didn't want anything to do with him, but he kept appearing and leaving me notes and presents, he eventually won me over."
"You love him."
"I'd die for him."
"Who else knows?"
"Just you and Klaus's inner circle, not even Elijah." I respond. "No one knows about me because if word got out, his enemies would come after me, and then everything with Elena, that's just a given."
"But your friends, they could get hurt."
"No they won't. We're going to use another vampire, another werewolf and luckily enough the person that bit you, just made our hit list."
"And you're okay with people dying?"
"If I get what I want in the end than yes." I answer confidently as I turn off the car. "Come on, I can see your starting to halucinate, Klaus already knows your coming."
"How?"
"When you were asleep I rang him and he is going to heal you." I respond. "All you have to do is keep our secret and if we ever need a favour, we'll call you." I explain as I help her out of the car and walk up to the front door. "Wow." I gasp as Rose collapses on my side.
The door opens and Greta answers and she lets me in. "You made it rather quickly." She greets.
"I had a deadline." I answer. "Where do I put her?"
"Bring her up the stairs, Klaus will be back shortly."
"Where'd he go?"
"To get a few things, he'll be back soon."
I bring Rose up the stairs and lay her down on bed. "Here." I say handing her a a mug of blood. She drinks it slowly and I see her eyes closing. "I'll be here." I whisper and get comfy on the sofa next to her bed.
I little while later I feel a pair of lips kiss my forehead. I slowly open my eyes and see a set of blue eyes staring down at me. I smile and sit up. "Nik. " I whisper and he leans down and kisses me deeply.
"Brie." He greets. "I see your friend isn't doing so well."
"Yeah. She's not doing so good, heal her please?"
"Does she know?"
"I told her on the way up, but she was passed out through most of it." I explain. "I will have to talk to her once she's healed."
"Do you trust her?"
"Yes." I answer as Rose begins to stir and I sit up as Klaus takes a step back. Rose's eyes look around the room and she turns her head slightly. It takes her a moment to take in her surroundings. "Hey sleepy head."
"How long was I out?" Rose whispers.
"A while, but you woke up just in time."
"Is this a dream?"
"No, but you're going to get better, I promise, so I need you to stay with me, so you can get cured." I tell her. She lifts her head up and now notices the man standing behind me, she gulps. "You're fine."
"Klaus." she whispers.
"In the flesh." he answers with a grin
"Stop." I scold hitting him in the arm.
"I see that you have a deadly werewolf bite." He notices. "Because my girl here trusts you I'll heal you, but if I ever need a favor in the future, you shall be called."
She nods and Klaus steps forward as I move out of the way and she watches me stand. "You're fine." I assure.
Klaus walks towards her bedside and bites into his wrist. "Have at it love." Rose glances at me and I nod my head for her to do it. She slowly pulls his wrist to her mouth and her eyes go dark as her fangs extract and she bites into his wrist.
A few moments later I see her wound heal and she drifts off to sleep. "Thank you." I thank him.
"Anything for you love." he smiles. "Meet me in my room when your done here, and that's an order."
I send him a smirk. "Yes sir."
Once Rose is healed and awake I check in on her. "How do you feel?"
"I feel good." She answers.
"His blood will do that."
"Thank you."
"Don't worry. I may not look like I care but I care when it comes to the people I care about, and you are now one of them."
"You're an interesting girl Briana Gilbert, and I thank you for helping me, and I'll keep your secret and if you ever need me, don't hesitate to call."
"I wont." I say giving her a hug. "Say hi to Trevor for me."
Once Rose leaves I make my way to Klaus's room. I open the door and see he's on his bed. I turn around closing the door and hear a flash and Klaus is standing behind me breathing against my neck. I lean into his hold as he holds me from behind. "I've missed you love." He whispers.
I turn around and place my arms around his neck. "You have no idea how bored I have been; arguing with my sister, putting our plan in motion, playing the sad victim, it takes a lot of work." I pout playfully.
"Well how about I give you something to go with so you aren't so frustrated."
"I think I like where this is going, but I've been driving for hours, I really need a shower." I tease.
"Love." He growls.
"You are more than welcome to join me." I invite daringly and he growls scooping me up and flashes us into the bathroom. "Well someone is eager." I tease as his mouth attaches to mine.
"God I missed you." He expresses.
"Back at you." I retort and he rips my clothes off and flashes us into the shower as the scolding water pours over us. "Fuck me." I whisper.
After my sexy rendezvous with Klaus I drive back to Mystic Falls in a good mood. I walk through my front door and am ambushed by Elena. "Where have you been?" she yells as Jeremy appears behind her.
"Out of town for the day catching up with my man." I smirk.
"With everything that is going on you found time to go out."
"Are you hearing yourself Elena? I found time because unlike you I'm living my last days having fun as everyone is finding a way for you to survive this fucking ritual." I defend. "If I'm going to die, I'm going to live a good last life not with you scolding and glaring at me."
"Wow, Brie, calm down." Jeremy pleads.
"Calm down, calm down, no Jeremy I will not fucking calm down." I decline. "My friend died today, so I left to get some comfort from my boyfriend, so I'm sorry if I didn't include you in my day."
"Who died?" He whispers.
"Rose." I answer turning to Elena. "She was saving Damon because he was a fucking idiot and decided to piss off a werewolf on a full moon, and now I'm down one less person that cares for me."
"Brie."
"No! I don't Brie me, it's always like this, you two always together I'm sick of it." I declare loudly. "I'm done, I'm moving out."
"And where will you go?" Elena scoffs.
"Anywhere that isn't around you Elena, it'll be so much better."
After packing my stuff I hear a knock at my door. I open it and Caroline enters. "Care." I whisper.
"Oh Brie." She sighs.
"I try to act tough but it's so hard, Rose was innocent in all of this."
"I know, and she'll be missed, were you there when she died?"
I nod. "I was the one that killed her." I lie breaking down more. "She was hallucinating and I couldn't see her go through that, so I took away her pain."
"I'm sorry I havent been here." Care apologises.
"Don't be, you have things going on, everyone does, I just feel like I have no one, I'm never the first choice."
"I know how you feel, but don't let Elena get you down."
"I wish I could just start over."
"From what I hear, you have a great man in your life." She reminds me.
"I do, I saw him after Rose died."
"What's he like?"
"Caroline he's the definition of evil, but my god he is hot, handsome and sexy and my god his eyes."
"Perfect for you than." she laughs.
"More than perfect, he's older."
"How old?"
"24."
"A man huh?"
"Yes. A successful, rich and powerful man." I confirm smiling. "Oh and amazing in bed."
She laughs. "Come on."
"Where are we going?"
"You're staying with me."
"You sure?"
"Positive. You're my number 1 Brie, I'll always be on your side."
"Thanks Care, always and forever right?"
"Always and forever."
