Brie POV
I bolt up right breathing heavily. I look around and see two rings of fire. One that I'm in and when I get my bearings another surrounding Elena, she has her head down between her knees.
"Good your awake." a voice says from beside me.
I turn to see it's Greta. "What did he put in my drink?" I ask angrily.
"Just a sleeping spell. He doesn't want you doing anything stupid." Greta responds.
"That dick."
"I'd watch how you speak about him."
"I'm not scared."
"You should be." She warns and turns her attention back to Elena. "Now that you are both awake sit tight, it's going to be a long night."
I finally stand up taking a look around and see the wolf hasn't arrived yet. "Who are we waiting for?" I ask curiously .
"You're nosy aren't you."
"Just impatient."
"If you must know, we are waiting for the werewolf and the vampire." Greta answers.
"Which one of us is he using?" Elena asks.
"That's to be decided." she grins sending me a secret smirk.
I start to walk around the flames. "What's with the flames?" I ask playing my part.
"As I told you earlier, to stop you from doing anything stupid."
"Does Klaus think I'm going to run?"
"No, but someone might." She replies gesturing to Elena.
"Why are we both here?" Elena asks again.
"I already told you whilst your sister was out, Klaus has plans for both of you."
"What plans?" I ask.
"You'll have to wait and see. Klaus loves surprises."
I hear twigs snapping and turn my head to see Jules making her way over groaning. Elena gasps in shock. I smile. "Who's that?" Elena asks.
"That must be there werewolf." I answer.
"What's happening to me?" Jules asks groaning in pain.
"I cast a spell to slow down your transformation." Greta answers. "Your insides are trying to tear themselves free." Greta explains flicking her wrist and another ring of fire encircles Jules.
"Hello Jules." I greet smirking. She looks up at me shocked. "I told you that you'd pay for what you did to me."
"Brie stop it." Elena scolds.
"Oh shut up Elena."
Elena glares at me. "Greta witches are supposed to maintain the balance of nature. It's your duty to them to keep this curse sealed."
I start laughing. "Elena pleading isn't going to get you anywhere."
"My duty is to Klaus, the new order." she declares as Klaus arrives and I can't help but let my breath skip a beat.
"Glad to see I still have a dance partner." Klaus smirks and glances to the three of us just as one of Klaus's workers walks over with the vampire thats going to be used. "Now that everyone is here, are we ready my lovelies?"
Elena, Jules, the female vampire and I are in our four circles of fire. Klaus walks up to Greta and retrieves the moonstone from his pocket. "I've got the moonstone." He says handing it over. "I spent 500 years looking for this I hate to part with it."
Greta looks up to the sky and sees the moon. "The moon has passed its apex. Do you remember what you need to do?" she asks.
"I remember." he assures and Greta places the moonstone it into a bowl with flames.
"Somethings happening." I whisper.
Sparks fly as the moonstone is destroyed and Greta begins chanting. Klaus then turns and makes his way to the four rings of fire. He heads to Jules's circle first and she is lying on the floor in pain. Jules turns to Elena. "Everything I did I was just trying to help Tyler." Jules tries to explain.
"So kidnapping, shooting me and hurting my friends was to help Tyler." I chime in before Elena can.
"You were so sweet in that bar."
"That's because I didn't know you. But you hurt my friend, and you know the rest. I told you that you'd regret what you did, and look where you are now, about to die."
"So are you." She retorts.
"I don't know about that." Klaus interrupts. "I'm still deciding."
The vampire, Jules, Elena and I turn to face him. "So you haven't decided which one of us to use?" I ask.
"Oh I have, it's just a surprise." Klaus teases.
"God you're so cryptic."
"Such fire." he chuckles and turns to face Jules. "I'd be lying if I wasn't going to enjoy this, but I promised someone that you'd be the wolf I'd use, and now I can make that a reality, so shall we?" Klaus grins then sends me a wink. Greta raises her hand and the ring around Jules disappears. Jules's eyes turn yellow and she uses her speed to rush at Klaus but that doesn't work. Klaus being faster and stronger gets the upper hand and pins Jules to the ground. "You should have never gone after Briana." He growls.
Jules's eyes go wide and she turns her head to me quickly and gasps. "You're." she attempts to say but Klaus plunges his hand into her chest and rips her heart out.
I smile widely as I see the life of Jules drain from her eyes. Klaus breathes heavily and holds the bloody organ in his hand. Elena turns to me horrified. "You're smiling." She gasps shocked.
I turn to face Elena smiling. "I told her she'd regret hurting Rose, Caroline and me." I shrug.
Klaus is squeezing the heart into the bowl. "Is it working?" Klaus asks.
"It's working." Greta answers and Klaus smirks.
I watch them closely and am starting to get bored. "Excuse me, Klaus?" I speak up.
He turns to face me grinning. "Can I help you?"
"I'm getting bored, can we move this along?"
"Brie stop it." Elena scolds.
"Oh for god sake Elena, stop talking." I plead. "If I'm going to die I don't want the last words that I hear come from your voice, so shut up."
She looks at me wide eyed. "There seems to be some serious tension." Klaus observes.
"You don't say."
"Why do you have such a bad relationship with your sister?"
"Because she's a bitch, our parents always favoured her, and she just had to step over all of my happiness, but don't worry she isn't my sister anymore." I list off.
"Is this true?" Klaus asks Elena.
Elena doesn't respond. "It's true, just look at her, she isn't even denying it." I point out. "So Klaus about moving this thing along, can we?"
Klaus grins. "Are you planning to be somewhere?"
"I am actually."
"And please tell me what is so important for me to hurry this up for?"
"My boyfriend is in town."
"Oh so you're wanting me to hurry this up because you want to have some alone time?"
"That and some other stuff." I wink.
"Oh god, would you stop flirting with him." Elena complains.
I chuckle and turn to fave her. "Are you jealous that he's giving me the attention and not you?"
She glares. "I could never be jealous of you."
"Oh really, so you weren't jealous of me when I came back in to town?" I question. "You weren't jealous when I kissed Damon that one night?" I continue. "You weren't jealous when I danced with Stefan? And you aren't jealous that I'm better than you?"
"You're such a slut." Elena replies trying find a come back.
I start laughing and slapping my leg dramatically. "Oh Elena is that the best you got? Name calling really?" I question. "Just so you know a slut is someone that sleeps with multiple people, Elena I'm far from it." I enforce. "I may have made out with Damon but the only man I plan to be with is the one that I'll be seeing right after this sacrifice is finished." I finish and she looks at me speechless.
"I see why you aren't sisters." the vampire speaks up.
We all turn to face her. "You don't know us, how can you can see that?" I question.
"I can see that you have a lot of amped up frustration for your sister because your parents always favored her. I can see that she's always tried to cut you down, and looking at you now, you are finally able to speak what is on your mind."
"You know that by just witnessing that?"
"Yes and I also had a twin."
"What happened to her?" Elena asks.
"She died."
"How?" I ask.
"I used to do what Elena does to you." she confesses. "I used to stomp all over her happiness. I used to belittle her, our parents favored me and one day she snapped and couldn't take it."
"What did she do?"
"She jumped off a bridge." She answers
"What's your name?"
"AJ."
"How long have you been a vampire?" Elena asks.
"Not long, a couple months." she answers. "Klaus came to me and I was miserable and because I caused my sister to take her own life, he said he could help me take the pain away."
"And you're choosing to do this?"
"My sister was a witch and there's another side where supernaturals go when they die." AJ responds.
"So I turned her so she could be with her sister again and apologies." Klaus chimes in.
"So you're here on your own terms?" Elena questions.
"Yes, because when she died I lost a part of me and ever since, I haven't been the same."
"Why did you bully your sister?" I ask.
"I was jealous." she answers and I turn to Elena who ignores me. "And I see what Elena has done to you and if you hadn't left you would have done the same thing my sister did." She's right if my parent's never died and I didn't leave town then I would have.
Klaus approaches AJ. "It's time AJ." Klaus addresses and Greta goes to let the fire go but Klaus suddenly looks up. "I don't recall you being on the guest list." Klaus alerts and Stefan appears standing up on the cliff.
Elena gasps as she peers up at Stefan. "I'm here to talk." Stefan addresses to Klaus.
"Who's that?" AJ asks.
"That would be Elena's boyfriend, trying to save the day." I answer.
"And where is yours?"
"I told him to stay put."
"He knows about this?" Elena asks shocked then looks back to Klaus and Stefan.
"Of course he does, he's a vampire." I announce and Elena looks at me more shocked. "Didn't think you were the only human female with a vampire boyfriend did you?" I tease as I go back to paying attention to the two vampires on the cliff.
"What are they saying?" Elena asks franticly.
AJ rolls her eyes and listens in on the conversation. "You want to be the hero don't you?" Klaus asks.
"Let one of the twins go." Stefan pleads.
"Which one?" he asks grinning. "You have a soft spot for both of them don't you."
"Stefan wants Klaus to let one of you go." AJ informs us.
"Has he said who?" Elena asks.
"He hasn't answered, seems like he's a bit stuck."
Elena looks up shocked and angry. "I can't believe he even has to think."
AJ and I turn to face her. "What's got you so angry?" I ask poking the bear.
"It shouldn't even be a hesitation, Stefan should want me to be the one to leave."
I laugh. "Are you jealous?"
"I don't know how everyone is falling for this act but I see right through you Brie, and one way or another, I'm going to prove to everyone here just what type of person you are."
"Elena." Stefan scolds as he and Klaus rejoin us. "Don't talk to her like that."
"You have got to be kidding me." Elena exclaims. "You're my boyfriend, why are you defending her?"
"Because someone has to." Stefan answers.
"Elena, Elena, Elena, you seem to be digging a deeper grave for yourself." Klaus teases. Elena gulps and shuffles back. "Stefan here wanted one of you to leave."
"And?" I question.
"I've thought it over and I'll let someone go, once my ritual is complete, but first AJ, you are needed." Klaus calls over again and the fire vanishes from around AJ.
"AJ, I hope you reunite with your sister." I wish.
"I hope so too." she smiles and walks over to Klaus. "I'm ready."
"Thank you." he thanks and stabs her in the heart with a stake and we watch as her skin turns grey and she dies.
Elena turns away and starts to back away. "No, no, I'm not doing this." She mutters.
"Careful love." Klaus warns.
"It shouldn't be me, I should be the one that survives."
"And why should you? All you have ever done your whole life is bully me. Even a stranger can see how cold hearted you are." I retort. "You think everything is about you Elena, it's not, it's about me now." I declare. "I'm done letting you walk over me, I'm done not fighting back and this time Elena, I'm not going to let you win, because you want to know a secret?" I ask walking towards the flames of fire and the ring of fire around me dies. "I'm going to be just fine." I grin and make my way to the alter.
"Brie what are you doing?" Stefan shouts.
"Nothing, I'm just playing my part." I smirk and turn to face Klaus and smile. "It's time."
"It sure is love." He grins and we turn back to face Elena who has gone silent.
"No." she stutters. "No."
"Elena, I want to introduce to you my boyfriend Nik, or better yet, you know him as Klaus." I introduce as both Stefan and Elena's eyes go wide.
Klaus comes up behind me and wraps his arms around my waist. "You knew all this time?" Stefan whispers.
"Oh Stefan I helped." I chuckle as I hear Greta chanting a memory spell at Stefan and see his eyes roll to the back of his head just as Klaus flashes over to snap his neck. "Can't have him telling anyone can we Elena?" I grin and she actually looks frightened.
"You planned this?" She gulps.
"Yes I did and it worked out perfectly." I confirm. "I told everyone I'd be fine, and would you look at that, not even a mark."
"You want to kill me?"
"You would have done the same to me, except I found out all about this first and I fell in love with Klaus." I respond.
"Everyone is going to hate you."
"Not everyone, right now only you know."
"When Stefan wakes he will tell."
"Elena, you seem to forget that Klaus has witches that can errase memories." I laugh. "And as for our family; Jenna is leaving town, Bonnie would be better off, seeming as you get her to do everything for you and Caroline it's a given she'll take my side."
"You're heartless."
"No Elena, I'm just getting revenge, and it just so happens that my boyfriend happens to be a 1000 year old hybrid, who was willing to help."
"I hate you." She growls.
"Back at you sister, goodbye Elena." I grin as her flames vanish. "I'd say it was a fun ride, but it wasn't."
Klaus walks over to Elena and stands in front of her. "I can hear your heartbeat, wow you really are useless." He mocks.
I chuckle. "Aww Nik don't be mean."
"It's time Elena." Klaus informs her extending his hand and she walks right past him onto the alter where I'm standing.
"RIP sister." I fairwell and she glares. "Klaus the others will be here any minute you are going to have to bite me once she's dead." I remind him. He frowns. "We need to do this."
He nods and walks over to Elena. "Thank you Elena." he thanks smiling.
"Go to hell both of you." she glares as Klaus extends his fangs and bites into her neck.
He starts to drain her and I watch with a smile as Klaus holds Elena tightly and she starts to sag and her eyelids flutter and her eyes roll to the back of her head and she dies.
Klaus drops Elena's body to the ground and wipes his mouth. "You ready love?" He asks me.
"Do what you need to do." I nod and he flashes towards me and bites into my neck making me weak.
"Just enough to make you weak." he whispers as my eyes start to shut.
Klaus POV
"I can feel it, it's happening." I exclaim looking up at the moon and suddenly my bones start to break and I start to transform. My eyes flash yellow and the veins under my eyes appear bigger. "Yes." I growl and am suddenly thrown into the air.
The flames in the bowl reignite, startling Greta. Greta sees Bonnie coming down the hillside, chanting a spell. Before she can react, Damon sneaks up behind her and snaps her neck.
Stefan begins to wake and he sees the bodies. "Damon." Stefan alerts. "Take Elena."
"What about Brie?" Damon wonders.
"She's breathing; you can't take both." he responds and Damon puts Brie next to Stefan and speeds off with Elena.
I turn to see the Bennett witch approaching me and she is chanting. "Someone came out of hiding." I shout as she continues to chant.
She looks at me shocked that I new she was alive but recovers and continues to chant. My body starts to contort and I scream in pain. I turn to face Brie and can see her eyes are starting to flutter open.
Brie POV
I feel myself waking up and can hear screaming and someone chanting. My eyes flutter open and I look up and see the full moon. I sit up slowly. "Brie." Stefan whispers. I hear someone scream in pain and turn to see Klaus in pain. I stand up and the blood rushes to my head but I shake it off. I go to walk to Klaus but Stefan pulls me back. "You need to stay back." Stefan warns just as Elijah appears.
"Elijah?" Klaus hisses.
"Hello, brother." Elijah greets and punches his arm into Klaus's chest, I try not to scream.
"Stay back." Bonnie warns me.
I send her a smile. "It's part of the plan." I retort and stand behind Elijah who still has his hand in Klaus's chest. "Elijah you can't kill your brother."
"Why not?" he asks with his hand in his chest.
"Because you need him alive to find your family." I announce.
He looks up at me in shock. "What?" Everyone gasps shocked.
"I know." I address. "I know how to find them. And for them to be found you can't kill him."
"Brie." Bonnie whispers.
"It's part of my deal with the witch." I lie.
"Who's the witch?" Elijah asks.
Before I can answer Klaus blurts out. "I didn't burry them at sea. Their bodies are safe. If you kill me, you'll never find them."
"Elijah don't listen to him." Stefan encourages.
"Elijah I can take you to them, I give you my word, brother." Klaus pleads.
Elijah appears to have second thoughts. "Do it and I'll take you both out." Bonnie warns.
"You'll die." Elijah retorts.
"I don't care."
As this is happening im slowly standing closer to Nik. Elijah notices this and looks between Klaus and I. I don't give anything away to Bonnie or Stefan but Elijah sees it. "There's more to this isn't there?" he whispers and I nod. "I'm sorry." He apologises to both Bonnie and Stefan and grabs Klaus and myself and he flashes us off as Bonnie and Stefan yell to bring me back.
