Ugh... My head...
?: Chrom, we have to do SOMETHING.
Huh? Who is that? Ugh.. my ears are ringing...
?: Chrom, he's waking up!
After i manage to pry my eyes open, i see a man with dark blue hair, as well as a girl with blonde pigtails, who seems to be holding some kind of staff.
?: Hey there! chuckles
?: There are better places to take a nap than on the ground, you know. Give me your hand.
I grab his hand as he helps me onto my feet.
?: You all right?
Nir: My head hurts...
?: I can help with that!
The blonde girl raises her staff, a green glow emitting from it. After a few seconds the same glow appears on me as i feel my headache start to fade.
?: Feel any better?
Nir: Yeah, thanks. Other then that i'm fine, thanks Chrom.
Chrom: Ah, then you know who I am?
Nir: No, i just heard her say your name before. Thanks by the way... uhh?
?: Lissa, my name is Lissa.
Nir: Got it, thanks Lissa.
Chrom: Speaking of names, what's your name? What brings you here?
Nir: My name's Nir Tachibana, as for what brings me here? I'm not so sure where i am.
Lissa: Do you think he has amnesia too?
Nir: I mean i remember everything else about me, so think it's more like i have no idea where i am.
Frederick: It's called a load of pegasus dung. We're to believe you know milord's name, but not where you are?
Nir: Hey! It's the truth!
Chrom: ...What if it IS true, Frederick? We can't just leave him here, alone and confused. What sort of Shepherds would we be then?
Frederick: Just the same, milord. I must emphasize caution. 'Twould not do to let a wolf into our flock.
Chrom: Right then—we'll take him back to town and sort this out here.
Nir: I don't have a say in this do i?
Chrom: Peace, friend—I promise we'll hear all you have to say back in town. Now come.
We end up walking(Or in Mr. paranoid armors case horseback ride) for a few minutes, along the way i'm introduced to Robin, who seems to have amnesia. After a bit i try to ask a few questions, namely...
Nir: What are you gonna do with us? Make us your prisoners?
Chrom: Hah! You'll be free to go once we establish that you're no enemy of Ylisse.
Robin: Is that where we are? Ylisse?
Frederick: You've never heard of the halidom? Ha! Someone pay these actors. They play quite the fools! The furrowed brows are especially convincing…
Nir: Oi!
Chrom: Frederick, please. This land is known as the Halidom of Ylisse. Our ruler, Emmeryn, is called the exalt. I suppose proper introductions are in order... My name is Chrom—but then, you already knew that. The delicate one here is my little sister, Lissa.
Lissa: I am NOT delicate! …Hmph! Ignore my brother, please. He can be a bit thick sometimes. But you're lucky the Shepherds found you. Brigands would've been a rude awakening!
Robin: Shepherds? You tend sheep? ...In full armor?
Chrom: Heh, it's a dangerous job. Just ask Frederick the Wary here.
Frederick: A title I shall wear with pride. Gods forbid one of us keeps an appropriate level of caution. I have every wish to trust you, stranger, but my station mandates otherwise.
Nir: I guess that makes sense, i'd probably do the same thing.
Chrom: We're almost to town. Once we—
Lissa: Chrom, look! Over there!
We look where Lissa is pointing, laying on the ground unconscious is a black haired girl, one i recognize all to well.
Nir: Emiko!
I sprinted ahead of the others, when i reached Emiko i attempted to wake her up by shaking her.
Nir: Emiko! Hey Emi! Wake up!
It seems my attempt at waking her up worked, as i could see her eyes begin to open.
Emiko: Ugh... Nir? Where are we?
Nir: Long story Emi.
Lissa: Is she alright?
Looks like the others caught up.
Nir: Not sure, Emi?
Emiko: I'll be fine.
Chrom: I assume you know each other?
Nir: Yeah, everyone, this is Emiko Sakura, Emi, this is Chrom, Lissa, Fredrick, and Robin.
Emiko: Nice to meet you all. Wait, Nir, if you're here, what about the others?
Nir: I'm not sure Emi, all i remember is a flash of light, next thing i knew i woke up out here.
Emiko: Oh... i hope they're alright...
Nir: Me too Emi, me too. Hey, your W Driver is still on.
Emiko: Huh?
Emiko looks at her waist, and like i said, her W Driver was still attached to her.
Emiko: Weird.
She tries to remove the driver, only for it to be seemingly stuck to her waist.
Emiko: The hell? Why won't it... come off?
Lissa: Chrom, look! The town!
Everyone looks in the direction Lissa is pointing, only to see a nearby town on fire.
Chrom: Damn it! The town is ablaze! Those blasted brigands, no doubt... Frederick, Lissa! Quickly!
Frederick: What about them?
Chrom: Unless they're on fire as well, it can wait!
Frederick: Aptly put, milord.
Lissa: Let's go already!
The three of them run off towards the town, leaving us behind.
Robin: But what about— Hmm...
After about a minute, Robin runs off on her own.
Nir: Robin wai- aaand she's gone...
Emiko: Wish we could help them...
Nir: Same here, but there's not much we can do.
Emiko: Yeah... Hey, your Driver's still on too.
Nir: Wait, it is?
I look down to see my W Driver attached to my waist, just like Emiko's.
Nir: How the hell did i not notice that?
I reach to remove the Driver, and unlike Emiko's, it comes off.
Emiko: Uhh... Nir?
Nir: Yeah?
I turn to face Emiko, and to my shock, her Driver is gone.
Nir: Where did it go?
Emiko: I don't know! It just vanished when you took yours off! ...Wait, you don't think..?
Immediately picking up on what she's suggesting, i place the Driver against my waist, the belt forming around my waist, just like we designed it to. And looking back at Emiko, her Driver appears on her waist, just like how it did with Phillip from W.
Nir: What the hell?!
Emiko: It's just like... the show... Nir, are you thinking what i'm thinking?
Nir: Yeah...
After helping Emiko off the ground, we both run after the others. When we get there, Chrom, Robin, and Fredrick are fighting off brigands, while Lissa is in the back, in case someone needs healing. But one of the brigands slips past them, and moves to stab Lissa, but i kick him away before he can, the others take down their respective brigands, and group up with us.
Robin: Are you two alright?
Lissa: Y-Yeah, Nir protected me.
Chrom: Really? You have my thanks Nir.
Nir: No problem.
Emiko: How are things going so far?
Frederick: There are more brigands than we expected, taking them all down will prove challenging.
Nir: I think we can help with that.
Lissa: But you two don't have any weapons.
Emiko: Just watch us, and uh, be ready to catch me.
Lissa: Huh?
Me and Emiko step in front, as i take out my W Driver, placing it against my waist as the belt forms around me. At the same time, Emiko's Driver appears around her waist, as we both take out Gaia Memories, pressing the buttons on the front.
Cyclone! Joker!
Chrom: What the-
Lissa: What are those things?
Robin: Cyclone? Joker?
Emiko: Ready Nir?
Nir: Ready... Partner.
Me and Emiko swing our arms out, forming a W, as we say the magic word that all Kamen Rider say...
Emiko/Nir: ...HENSHIN!
Emiko places her Memory into the right side of her Driver, as it disappears into green data, Emiko passes out a second later, thankfully Fredrick catches her before she hits the ground.
Robin: Emiko!
Nir: Don't worry, she's fine.
Before they could say anything else, Emiko's reappeared in my Driver, as i inserted it into right side. I then spin my Memory around, inserting it into the left side. Finally, i grab both sides of the Driver, pushing them outward, forming a W shape.
CYCLONE JOKER!
A small tornado forms around me, as small green and black armor pieces form and spin around before attaching around my body. Everyone around me seems speechless, though one of them eventually reacts, and...
Lissa: That... is... so... cool!
I have to resist the urge to fanboy and say "I know, right?!". But rest assured, i will be fanboying later.
Frederick: By the gods...
Chrom: What sort of armor is that?
Robin: And what happened to Emiko?
Nir: Heh, this is known as W(Double), Kamen rider W!
Suddenly, the suits right eye begins flashing, as Emiko's voice can be heard.
Emiko: And i'm fine, i'm just over here.
Justifiably, that four of them are shocked once they hear Emiko's voice come from my body.
Fredrick: What sort of magic...?
Nir: We'll explain later, right now we've got brigands to deal with!
Realizing that i have a point, everyone turns back towards the brigands, who still have their weapons raised, despite their shock.
Emiko: You know what to say Nir?
Nir: How could i forget?
I point towards the brigands, ready to say what W always says to those who threaten the innocent.
Emiko & Nir: Saa, omae no tsumi wo kazoero!
Pov: 3rd person
(Play W-B-X ~W-Boiled Extreme~)
The brigands split up and run towards our group of heroes, with about 10 of them going for W.
Nir: How do you wanna split the controls Emi?
Emiko: I'll move the legs, you move the arms?
Nir: Sounds good to me, let's do this!
W dodged around the axe swing of one brigand, grabbing his wrist and forcing him to drop his weapon, before kneeing him in the stomach, the force of which knocked him unconscious.
Nir: Damn! That was quick.
Emiko: Well we're a Kamen Rider now, so strength boosts are a given.
Two more brigands charge at them, but W just dodges backward before hitting both of them with a few spin kicks.
Emiko: I'll admit though, it is a bit disappointing that they go down in just one hit.
Nir: Well they're only humans after all, not Dopants.
They ran towards another brigand, kicking him in the chest, denting his armor. Another one tries to sneak up behind them, but they just dodged, grabbing both brigands head before slamming them together.
Brigand: Kill 'em already!
The remaining brigands surround W, before charging at them.
Emiko: We should go for a Memory Break.
Nir: Cyclone or Joker?
Emiko: Cyclone, i don't think splitting in half will help us here.
They remove the Cyclone Memory from their driver, placing it into the slot on the side of their belt and hitting the button.
Cyclone Maximum Drive!
W: Cyclone Extreme!
They jump towards the brigand in front of them, wind surrounding their right leg, as they kick off his chest, before spinning midair and kicking the rest of them in one go.
Nir: Too easy!
Emiko: Don't get excited just yet, we've still got the boss to deal with.
Brigand leader: Bwaaargh!
They look over and see the brigand leader on the ground, slash wound on his chest, with Chrom nearby.
Emiko: Or not, Chrom already dealt with him.
Nir: Guess so.
The two-in-one rider ran over to Chrom, as everyone had regrouped.
Robin: Well, that's the end of that.
Lissa: Lucky for the town, we were close by. But holy wow, Robin! You were incredible! Swords, sorcery, AND tactics! Is there anything you can't do? And i can't forget about you two! That armor, the way you fought them, that wind magic kick! It was amazing!
Nir: Heh, thanks Lissa.
Chrom: You're certainly no helpless victims, that much is for sure.
Frederick: Indeed. Perhaps you might even be capable of an explanation for how you came here?
Robin: I understand your skepticism, Sir Frederick. And I cannot explain why only some knowledge has returned to me. But please, believe me. I have shared all that I know.
Emiko: And we're not exactly sure why we're here, all we know is that there was a flash, and then we were here.
Chrom: You fought to save Ylissean lives. My heart says that's enough.
Frederick: And your mind, milord? Will you now heed its council as well?
Chrom: Frederick, the Shepherds could use someone with Robin, Nir, and Emiko's talents. We've brigands and unruly neighbors, all looking to bloody our soil. Would you really have us lose such an able tactician and capable fighters? Besides, I believe their stories, odd as they might be.
Robin: Th-thank you, Chrom.
Chrom: So how about it? Will you join us, Robin?
Robin: I would be honored.
Chrom: And you two?
Nir: I don't see why not, it's not like we have any other options, Emi?
Emiko: I'm fine with it.
Nir: Then it's settled, we're in.
Pov change: Nir
Frederick: Did you notice, milord? The brigands spoke with a Plegian accent.
Robin: Plegian? What's that?
Chrom: Plegia is Ylisse's westerly neighbor. They send small bands into our territory, hoping to instigate a war.
Lissa: And it's the poor townsfolk who suffer! Totally innocent, and totally helpless...
Frederick: They do have us, milady: Shepherds to protect the sheep. Do not be swept up in your anger. It will cloud your judgment.
Lissa: I know, I know... Don't worry. I'll get used to all this.
Villager: Milord, please! You must stay the night! We are simple folk of simple means, but we would gladly toast your valor with a feast!
Nir: Feast?!
This is perfect! I haven't eaten since the pizza i had after our concert! Plus, all that running and fighting made me hungry.
Frederick: A most generous offer, sir, and no doubt your hospitality would be grand... But I'm afraid we must hurry back to Ylisstol.
Lissa: Dark meat only for me, medium well, and no salt in the soup. I simply—
Lissa & Nir: Wait, what?!
Lissa: We're not staying?! But, Frederick, it's nearly dark!
Frederick: When night falls, we'll camp. Eat off the land, make our bed of twigs and the like... I believe you mentioned you would be "getting used to this"?
Lissa: Frederick? Sometimes I hate you.
Nir: I just met him, and i already don't like him...
Emiko: Calm down Nir, you'll be fine.
Robin: You've quite the stern lieutenant there.
Lissa: Yeah, well, "stern" is one name for it. I can think of a few others!
Chrom: Frederick only smiles when he's about to bring down the axe.
Robin: Duly noted.
Frederick: Ahem You do realize I AM still present?
Chrom: Oh, we realize.
Robin: Heh heh.
Frederick: Milord remains as amusing as ever. Now then, shall we be going?
Chrom: All right, all right. Ready to go you three? The capital isn't far.
Robin: I'm ready.
Nir; Hold on, lemme just...
I close the driver back into its U shaped state, before removing the Joker Memory, the W armor fading away into the wind.
Nir: You good Emi?
Emiko regains consciousness, now that her mind is back in her body, quickly hopping off of the back of Frederick's horse, as he put her there after we transformed.
Emiko: I'm fine, but man, that's gonna take some getting used to.
She dusted off her skirt, before walking next to me.
Nir: Alright, we're ready.
