After the whole ordeal with the car explosion I've been with Nik and we have been making more hybrids. To be honest I haven't really left his side. I still have moments in the middle of the night where I'll have nightmares about what happened, someone tried to kill me. But now isn't the time to look weak. I need to be strong.
Back in Mystic Falls Caroline and Rebekah are playing spy. The Mystic Falls gang think I ditched them after my accident. From my latest update they recently found the secret underground tunnels with the Aztec sketches. Elena went and asked Rebekah about them and name dropped Mikael. That's when we new they were getting close.
I'm currently in the car waiting for Nik to come back. I see him walking back from the woods. "How'd the transitions go?" I ask him.
"Excellent. I now have my hybrid army to kill Mikael." Just as we are about to drive off his phone rings. He looks down and sees that it's Stefan. He answers the phone. "Stefan, Portland is fantastic, once you get over all the whiny music and healthy looking people, it's literally a breeding ground for werewolves."
"Your father is Dead." Stefan announces.
Nik turns to look at me and smirks. "What did you say to me?"
"Oh my bad, not your actual farther and not dead. Mikael, he's daggered." Stefan explains. "What do you want me to do with the body?"
"Tell me exactly what happened."
"Mikael went to attack Elena, and she daggered him."
I scoff. "Bullshit."
He smirks. "I want to see him. I want to see his rotting body for myself." Klaus's demands.
"Well he's here. Come by whenever you like." Stefan responds.
"If you're lying Stefan your compulsion will expose you. Is this the truth?"
"It's true. I saw it with my own eyes."
"I want to talk to Rebekah."
"No problem she's right here."
"Hello Nik." Bekah greets.
"Rebekah love, what's this I hear about Mikaels tragic run in with a dagger?"
"It's true. He's finally out of our lives, I miss you. I'm miserable here." She lies.
"We'll be home soon."
"We?"
"We means me Bekah." I announce my presence.
"Brie?"
"That's my name. What's this I hear about Mikael being daggered?"
"It's true, your sister daggered him."
I start to chuckle. "I call bullshit right there."
"Come now love. They wouldn't lie to me." Nik comments.
"I guess we will find out. Let Caroline know I'm coming home." I respond and we hang up. "Do you think they trust Rebekah?"
"You can never trust an original." He shrugs.
"We will need a secret hide out before I announce myself, because going off what they have told us, they are going to do this at homecoming."
"Which means we need a bigger location and more security."
"I can't wait until this is over." I confess.
"It will all be over soon, and I promise you that once this is done, I will find whoever tried to kill you." He promises. "I don't think I can take anymore of your nightmares."
"Thank you for being my rock."
"You know when it comes down to it I don't want you anywhere near Mikael."
"I know but I want to witness the demise of the man that abused you. I want to see him pay."
Caroline POV
It's been a crazy few weeks. Since Brie left to be with Klaus after the accident, Rebekah and I have been working double agents. We have eyes and ears everywhere and we've weaved our way into the Scooby gang.
Over the last few weeks the Scooby gang have been trying to remove the compulsion from Stefan, and they've had no success. They did find the underground tunnels where Elena came round asking questions about Mikael.
Using that we started to allow them to think we've changed sides. But in reality we want Klaus here to kill Mikael, so Brie can come home. "That went better than expected." I admit to Rebekah.
"They think they have the upper hand." Rebekah responds.
"So when do they get into town?"
"Tomorrow. Klaus will make his presence known early and Brie will present herself later on. Klaus doesn't want Brie anywhere near Mikael."
"Do you believe it when she says she's better?" I ask.
"I think so, she's trying to be tough but it's getting to her. What's scary is that we have no idea who or what was behind it, if they were after her that means they know about her and Klaus." Rebekah responds.
"Which in his enemies eyes is a target."
"And all Klaus has ever said was 'love is a vampires greatest weakness.'"
"That worked out real well for him didn't it." I joke.
Brie POV
The next day Klaus and I arrive back in Mystic Falls and we make our way to our hotel. "Welcome home love." He welcomes putting his arms around my waist from behind.
I lean into him lovingly. "I just hope everything goes well tonight." I wish.
"Don't worry love you know I have a plan A-Z in motion, tonight all you need to worry about is getting ready for the homecoming dance and me putting an end to my father."
"I can't wait to watch the light drain from his eyes."
"For that to happen you have to do as I say, and stay with Caroline and Rebekah."
"I know." I nod. "Do you think they will try to take them out?"
"I know never to trust an Original. And with Caroline by her side, it would be hard to trust her."
I smile, "It's good that you have them on your side."
"I also happen to have the most beautiful, loving and loyal person on mine too." He adds sweetly.
I blush. "You are so sweet."
"Only to you." He whispers and leans into kiss me but a knock at the door interrupts our moment.
We groan and Klaus goes to answer the door. He opens it and I see my two best friends. "Hi." Rebekah and Caroline squeal greet in unison.
"Hi." I greet hugging them.
"Rebekah, Caroline." Klaus greets.
"Nik." Rebekah smiles hugging him. "Thank god you're back in town."
"Missed me did you?" He jokes.
"No her." she jokes pointing to me and I laugh.
Klaus rolls his eyes. "I'm going to leave you three to it. Remember no one leaves until I say." He orders.
"Alright." We respond.
"Be careful." I yell out.
After catching up with Caroline and Rebekah on everything that has gone down, we start to pamper ourselves for homecoming, and as we are doing our nails my phone starts ringing. "Hi Nik." I answer putting the phone on speaker.
"Homecoming has been relocated." He announces.
"What, why?" Caroline asks.
"There was a flood at your school, but don't worry, Tyler Lockwood allowed us to relocate to his place."
"Sneaky Nik." Rebekah says amused.
"So this isn't really a homecoming dance is it?" I question.
"No it's a wake." He replies. "It's been a long time coming and tonight I say farewell to my dad."
"I guess we'll see you soon then." Rebekah assumes.
After getting ready I look at myself in the mirror and I love the look. I'm wearing a long sleeved Rose gold and gold diamanté dress that stops mid thigh and my shoes are gold glittery peep-toes. For my hair I have long waves flowing down my back and for make up a bronzed smokey eye with false lashes.
I'm pacing back and forth waiting for Klaus to ring me. Caroline can sense my anxiety. "Brie, you are going to burn a hole through the floor if you don't stop pacing." she advises.
"Caroline's right, you have to stop worrying." Bekah agrees.
"Shouldn't we have heard from him by now. Maybe we should sneak in?" I suggest.
"And risk someone seeing you?" Care questions.
"Not if we do this right. If everyone is focused on Klaus, they won't be looking for me."
"This is a big risk."
"I have a bad feeling, we need to leave now."
"You do not leave our side." Rebekah responds.
"Fine."
We arrive at the Lockwoods and there are 100s of people standing around. I take a look around and notice many of Klaus hybrids are hanging around in the background. "Okay, I hardly know anyone here." Caroline observes.
"You could say that again. Most are hybrids." I respond noticing Matt and Elena, except by the way that Elena is standing I can tell straight away it's not her. "Three o'clock." I alert.
They turn to where I am pointing and they immediately see it. "Well this got a little more interesting. She's got guts showing her face here." Rebekah responds.
"Shall we hinder their plans?" I ask them.
"Why don't you go first Caroline?" Rebekah suggests.
"Lets spook the Scooby gang than." She accepts and heads off towards them with a sway to her hips. Matt and Katherine look up as they see Caroline walking their way. They tense up. "Matt, Elena." Caroline greets.
"Caroline." Matt gasps.
"We haven't heard from you today." Katherine mentions.
"That's because she was with me." Rebekah says announcing herself.
"Rebekah." They gasp.
"You two seem frightened."
"We just don't like you." Katherine responds.
Caroline and Rebekah share a look and laugh. "Can't say we like you either."
"Well, well, well, if it isn't my own bitch of a sister." I alert standing a few feet behind them.
Both Katherine and Matt look up. "Brie."
"You two seem to be a little spooked. Wouldn't happen to do with a plan to kill Klaus would it?" I ask walking up to them slowly.
"No." Katherine stutters. "No, we just don't like you."
"You have some serious balls Katherine." I alert and she gasps.
She drops the facade. "If it isn't my bitch of a doppelgänger." She greets.
"Like you can talk, and for the record you play a terrible Elena. She doesn't stand that straight, her hair isn't as layered and you are listening to everyone around you." I list off. I then take a step towards her. "You are going to pay for what you did." I threaten.
Katherine goes to step towards me. "Ah, ah, I wouldn't do that." Rebekah growls grabbing her arm and she winces. "Klaus wants you to suffer."
"To bad he's going to die tonight." She retorts.
"You don't seem to get it do you. Klaus is always 5 steps ahead. Go ahead try to kill him, it won't work." I encourage. "Even if it did, his plan would already have been set. If you as much as try to stake him he's ordered all his hybrids to kill everyone here." I warn. "So go ahead warn everyone but don't wait to long, I already see the Hybrids moving into formation. It looks like a showdown is about to happen." I finish and we walk off.
About ten minutes later Caroline, Rebekah and I are at the beer pong table when I feel something in my gut telling me to find Klaus. "Guys I think something's happening, we have to find Klaus, now." I alert.
"What do you mean?" Care asks.
"I feel like somethings about to happen. We need to find him now." I repeat and we run off.
We enter the Lockwood's mansion from the back. Rebekah and Caroline stop suddenly. "They are at the front door." Rebekah whispers.
We sneak a little further inside and from the hall that leads to the foyer we see Klaus standing at the door with it open and a man in a suit is standing on the other side. My blood runs cold. The hate I feel for this man astounds me.
"Hello Niklaus." Mikael greets.
"Hello Mikael. Why don't you come in, oh that's right you can't." Klaus taunts.
"Or you can come outside?"
"Or my Hybrids can tear you limb from limb?"
"They can't kill me?"
"If would be a joy to watch." I whisper to Rebekah.
"All I have to do is wave my fingers, and they do as I say." Klaus retorts.
"The big bad wolf. You haven't changed. Still hiding behind your play things. You forget they may be sired to you but they are still part vampire, and can be compelled by me." Mikael alerts as Mindy one of Klaus's hybrids appears with Katherine. "Come out and face me or she dies."
"Okay he's starting to piss me off." I growl and I go to make my presence known but Caroline stops me.
"Go ahead. Kill her." Klaus dares.
"No Klaus he'll do it." Katherine pleads.
"If she dies this lot will be your last abominations."
I'm seriously about to lose it. "I don't need them I just need to be rid of you." Klaus responds.
"To what end Niklaus? So you can live forever, with no one at your side. Nobody cares about you anymore boy."
"Okay thats it." I say loudly and storm into the entrance. "That's not true." I exclaim.
Everyone looks up at me shocked. "Brie." Nik warns.
"No, no one is stopping me. I've had enough of listening to that filth." I say and turn to face Mikael and I growl. "What did he ever do to you?"
"Excuse me?" Mikael growls.
"What did he ever do to you, to allow you to beat him?"
"I would watch your tone."
"Or what? Are you going to beat me, hit me, make me bleed?" I respond. "He looked up to you his whole life and what does he get in return, a miserable man that beat him to a pulp. What did he do to make you hate him?" I ask again. "Let me guess, your whore of a wife couldn't keep her legs closed, you couldn't beat her, but you could beat up a little boy?" I question further. "Unless your father must have done the same thing." I assume and his gears are ticking. I'm getting to him. "Ahh, there it is, you were abused too." I chuckle grinning and stand by Klaus's side. "You're wrong. He does have people that care for him. He does have people that love him."
"Do you really think he cares for you?"
"I know he does, because a real man never lays a hand on a woman." I growl.
"You little bitch." He growls.
"Don't you talk to her like that." Rebekah defends announcing her presence.
"Rebekah. You're siding with him." Mikael questions in disbelief.
"She's always sided with him." I alert. "And the ploy to get her to kill him didn't work. She's known the truth for a while." I respond. "Now you still haven't answered my question. What did he do that was so horrible?"
He scoffs ignoring my questions. "Let's end this now Niklaus." He demands.
Klaus starts laughing. "I'm going to have to call your bluff father."
"Come out and face me, and when I'm done your pretty little plaything is next."
"You are disgusting." I glare.
"Go on kill her. I don't need her anymore." Nik responds and just as he says this a blur flies past us pushing me out of the way.
As this is happening Mikael stabs Katherine who falls to the floor. Someone flashes behind Klaus and goes to stab him, but out of no where Caroline flashes over and tackles him to the ground. This allows the white oak stake to fall to the floor next to me a few feet away.
I see Klaus standing in shock watching what's going on. Caroline is fighting with Damon and Rebekah has snapped Katherine's neck.
I quickly stand up and see Mikael looking on worried. I pick up the stake and before I can even think I grab the stake and turn to face him. I run taking him by surprise. "This is for Klaus." I growl as I stab the stake into his heart before he could even react. He looks up at me in shock. I grin. "You deserve to burn in hell." I growl as I stand up and Klaus comes over to check on me and we all watch as Mikaels body bursts into flames.
"Are you okay?" He asks looking me over.
I nod. "I'm fine." I assure. As this was happening everyone watched on in shock. We then realise that Katherine is starting to come to again. She looks around and we lock eyes and they go wide. "I warned you." I growl.
She goes to flashoff but Rebekah stops her. "It's time for some payback." Rebekah growls.
She goes to flash off in the other direction but Caroline stops her. "It's time for you to pay for your crimes Katerina." Klaus declares. "But in the meantime, we are going to make you suffer." He finishes and flashes over to snap her neck.
Damon witnessing this slowly stands up. "You just can't seem to stay away can you. When are you going to learn you can't win?" I ask him.
He looks at me in shock. "Why are you here?"
"I live here and it's time everyone takes a good hard look and remembers that." I suggest. "I'm back for good, no one is going to stop me. If I were you Damon I'd start thinking about joining the winning side because it's a lot more fun if you don't have to follow rules."
"Why should I trust you when Klaus compelled Stefan?"
"Thats easy mate. I compelled him because he lied to me. But if you choose the right way we may be able to remedy that." Klaus responds. "Why don't you and Stefan meet with us tomorrow. We can make a deal but right now, I have a wake to attend." Klaus finishes and Caroline, Rebekah and myself walk off.
After the celebrating that Mikael is dead, Klaus and I decided to head back to the hotel. As soon as we are inside he flashes me against the door and kisses me. "You look amazing." He expresses.
I smile. "Thank you. I had to show up in style."
"You sure knew how to make Mikael get distracted."
"Just had to keep him talking. I knew that it was Katherine there tonight too."
"You're just too smart aren't you."
"Almost not human." I grin.
"Now how about we celebrate? I want to see what you have on under the dress." He whispers in my ear and I shiver.
"Why don't you find out." I smirk and he throws me on the bed and hovers above me.
The next morning I wake up in Nik's arms smiling. Today is a new day. And we are finally free of having to run.
Today we are meeting with Damon and Stefan to make a deal, we live here in peace. "Do you think they'll go for it?" I ask him.
"I think with a mediator like you, they won't hesitate to pass it up." he responds. "You know how to get people on your side. With you leading the negotiations you are more powerful than anyone."
"That does sound great."
I quickly get dressed in black jeans and a white off the shoulder 3/4 sleeved crop top and white heels and my hair is half up half down in a bun.
We leave and make our way to The Grill. When we walk inside we see Damon, Stefan and Elena, sitting in one of the booths. Of course she's here. As they see us I see Elena tense up. I grin. "Well Hello Salvatores. Elena." I greet as Klaus and I sit down across from them.
"Brie, I see you're back in town." Elena starts.
I laugh shrugging her comment off. "Why did you call us here?" Stefan asks board.
"You see I've become quite fond of this little town, and Brie here wants to finish school so I acquired a house, which is nearly renovated. We want to live in peace." Klaus answers.
"Why should we believe you?"
"You shouldn't but, unless you want everyone you ever cared about dead then take the deal." I advise. "I don't know about you Elena, but when are you going to get it, you can't win, you've tried multiple times and failed miserably." I laugh. "I'm also over all this back and forth shit." I add. "I want to be able to go out with my boyfriend. I want Aunt Jenna to be able to come home. So to do that we need to have a peace treaty."
"Treaty?" Damon questions.
"A deal."
"What's in the deal?" Stefan asks.
"A couple things Stefan. One of them, is your freedom, secondly, a treaty of, if you leave us alone, we leave you alone. And if either of us breaks that treaty, it's world war 3."
"What about Rebekah and Caroline?" Elena questions.
"You don't have to worry about them. They'll abide by our side of the deal, unless someone breaks theirs."
"And you'll stop making you're hyrids? Needing my blood?" Elena queries.
"I only used your blood for a few of mine the rest I had a very gigivng donor." Klaus answers.
The three turn to look at me and I grin. "Gotta love being a twin."
"You gave him your blood willingly?"
"It only takes a couple drops."
"So do we have a deal?"
"Once you release Stefan from his compulsion."
Nik and I both smirk. "Just because I'm removing the compulsion doesn't mean he'll turn it back on." Nik mentions. "But because I'm going to abide by this treaty I'll do it, but don't come to us when he isn't his old self."
Klaus and I stand up. "See you in school sis. Damon, try not to do anything stupid, you could be valuable." I advise.
"And Stefan." Nik compels. "You are now free."
