Thick humid air assaulted her senses as Maleena sat slumped. Her eyes heavy, head foggy, she could vaguely feel a gentle hum beneath her as she rocked side to side.
She had no idea where she was. She felt cold seeping through her clothes, chilling her to the bone. Nothing felt familiar, nothing right. Her body felt like lead, nothing she could do to stop herself slipping down the wall, stopping when a hand grabbed her bicep tightly.
"Don't hurt yourself. Your worthless injured."
The cold voice jolted her system, as if she had a cold bucket of water poured onto her head. Blurred vision made it impossible to see the origin of the voice, frustration bubbling away at her lack of control. Whatever drug they had given her worked too well, feeling completely out of it. She wasn't sure whether or not she was dreaming her arms thrashing around, a garbled scream breaking free as more hands grabbed her viciously.
Her panic soon subsided with a cold feeling sweeping through her veins, her body going limp as a cruel laugh echoed around her mind.
