Chapter Summary: A mysterious note appears in Lloyd's locker. The friends decide to investigate...

Chapter Four:

Lloyd double checked that his suitcase had most of his clothes in it for the millionth time it felt like as he patiently waited for Lou and Cole to show up. The plan was for him to sleepover at Cole's place for a few days, before swapping over to Zane's. After awhile he would go over to the Smith's place, and finally Jay's place before starting over. "Lloyd? Ready to go?" An older version of Cole walked into the bedroom, a walking cane tapping the ground.

"Yeah...I think I've got everything Lou." Lloyd greeted him, calling his friend's father by name since that was how close he was to him.

Lou nodded, before grasping the handle on the suitcase and dragging it out of the room himself. Upon noticing that Lloyd was about to protest, he quickly waved him off. "I've got it sonny. Don't you worry about me. I know my limits."

Lloyd smiled at that, before grabbing his backpack and skateboard, following Lou out of the room and house. Loading up the minivan that Lou drove, Lloyd glanced back at his house, wondering vaguely if his life would ever get back to normal for him...

"Lloyd! Wake up! We're gonna be late for school!" A pillow slammed into Lloyd suddenly, forcing him to snap awake. It took the teen several long minutes to reorient himself, not used to waking up at his friend's house. Rubbing sleep from his eyes, he glared at said friend.

"Cole...really?"

Cole smirked as he hefted the pillow up again. "Come on... Dad made banana cakes for breakfast. Trust me...they taste best fresh."

Lloyd merely groaned, before kicking the thick brown and orange covers off of himself. "Fine. I'm getting up."

"Good. I'll meet you downstairs." Cole dropped the pillow next to Lloyd's head, before walking out of the guest bedroom. Lloyd groaned once more, before pushing himself out of bed. He best get going if he was to get to school on time... or actually get any of the banana cakes that Cole mentioned. But first... he should get dressed for school.

Lloyd darted into the school, skateboard in hand as he sprinted to his locker. He was so late! Fumbling with his lock, he jumped as with a green light it suddenly exploded. Frowning, locks don't just explode last he checked!, he yanked his locker door open, shoving his skateboard inside as he fumbled with his backpack...

"Yo! Kid! What's this? It just fell out of your locker just now." Kai, whose locker was not that far from Lloyd's, bent down snagging a piece of green sticky pad paper.

Lloyd frowned as he simply dropped everything, just as the first bell rang, signaling that they only have five minutes to get to class. "I don't recognize that..." Lloyd took the piece of paper, finding that it had been folded neatly in half. Unfolding it, he scanned the contents, all color draining from his face.

Alarmed, Zane snatched the paper out of Lloyd's hand, and quietly read it out loud to his gathered friends. "Lloyd and friends. The strange things that have been happening around you lately has something to do with why Dr. Garmadon is now missing…. WHAT?!" A cheerleader that was walking past right then turned to stare at him as if he were crazy, before slipping into the nearby classroom.

Lloyd shook his head, before whispering softly to the others. "It's sign Sensei W. Anyone know who that is?"

Kai shook his head, before snagging the paper out of Zane's hand. "No... but I like to think we all know someone that can find him for us!"

With that said, the friends all dumped their backpacks in Lloyd's locker, slamming it shut, before sprinting out of the school, skateboards in hand. The doors no sooner closed behind them than the tardy bell rang, officially making them late for class...

"Mr. Borg! We need your help!" Jay hollered as he burst out of the elevator.

The brilliant billionaire started slightly at the sight of his newest intern bursting into his office when he should have been at school, before quickly clasping his hands on top of his desk. "What is the matter Jay?"

Jay yanked the paper out of Kai's hand, quickly slapping it onto the desk. "Someone left this rather disturbing note in my one friend's locker. It's been signed Sensei W. Any idea on who it could be?"

"Hmm..." Mr. Borg wheeled himself over to a large computer on the other side of the room, where he then began typing quickly. "I've been working on a new way for government agencies to keep track of people, mainly wanted ones, their employees, and those that are in hiding for their own safety. Maybe I can use it to... ah ha! Sensei Wu, no last name listed, says here that he lives...that can't be right. In a monastery at the top of the Mountain of a Thousand steps... my grandfather counted those just so you know. It's actually ten thousand, five hundred and sixty-two steps."

"It's also on the other side of Ninjago. Way too far for him to just by chance travel down this way to discover that weird things been going on and hear about Mom!" Lloyd fretted worry creasing his brow.

Nya glanced up from her phone, holding it up for the others to see. "There's a plane headed out there in one hour. If we hurry..."

Without pausing to question whether or not missing the first two classes to talk to Mr. Borg was good enough, they bolted out there, taking the note with them of course.

"Please fasten your seatbelts. We are about to land in Ignacia Village. If you are headed to Jamankai Village, please locate a tour bus that will be heading out that way." Lloyd hurriedly fastened his seatbelt, even as his friends did the same thing. Despite being closer to the Mountain of a Thousand Steps, Jamankai Village didn't have an airport due to the fact that it was located on the edge of the Mountain itself, and thus didn't have any flat land needed for an airport. Ignacia was not far from it though so most people headed to Jamankai just flew into the smaller village.

"I really hope we know what it is that we're doing..." Lloyd muttered under his breath as he leaned back, squeezing his eyes shut tightly so as not to feel quite as nervous about landing. Maybe he should watch less episodes of Air Disasters?

A/N: Done! Hmm, yeah all that happened. And Lloyd blew up the lock on his locker by accident... oops. Oh! And they're skipping/ditching school! How fun! Please note that you should NEVER ditch school. Education is important people! Oh, and Mr. Borg finally showed up in this! Jay works for him apparently...
