Chapter 5: New Enemies
Elmina(Temple of the Water dragon god):
"Something you must do?" Erza questioned.
"Yes." Mercuphobia looks at his hands, "Someone stole my power as a dragon."
"Your power was stolen?!" Natsu and them were shocked.
"One of the dragon eaters earlier?" Gray guesses with a brow up.
"Or it was sueong? Nah, can't be." Natsu shrugs off in thought.
"No, they only target me because they still think I have my power." He replied, "I must get this power back before I die. Calamities will come forth if it isn't used properly."
"To steal the power of a dragon god..." Lucy trailed.
"Is that even possible?" Wendy questions.
"Well, it is something that really happened." He replied.
"Who did it?" Happy questions him.
"Do you know who the culprit is?" Carla also questions.
"He is known as the "White Mage." Mercuphobia reveals.
"White mage?" Natsu questions.
"Like the opposite of zeref?" Lucy brings up.
"I shall return the city back to normal by taking my power back." Mercuphobia declares, "Before that happens, I can't die yet."
"In that case, we..." Natsu was about to talk, but then ashes come out of nowhere.
"What, now?" Gray and erza look around.
(The temple then becomes crowded by ashes.)
"The temple is..." Natsu trailed.
"Sand... No ash!" Gray looks up.
"Ash?!" Lucy thinks it's familiar.
"Lord water god!" Camille comes in the area and runs to him.
"Don't come. Camille, go and evaluate everyone!" Mercuphobia orders.
(The ashes then start forming into people, revealing the diabolos members, Skullion, Degro, Mad-mole, and Kyria.)
"It's been two hours." Mad-moles raises a hand.
"We meet again." Kyria smirks as they stare at team natsu.
"Those guys!" Natsu gets into a fighting stance.
"There's two more!" Gray notices.
"Guilty as charged." Degro grins.
"I heard about what happened. I see, I see." Skullion grins sinisterly, "The one who stole your power... we just need to eat that white magician."
"No, That power belongs to the water god dragon and it will return to him!" Natsu angrily glares at them, "I won't let you take it!"
(Suddenly, a big part of the wall is frozen and shattered, grabbing everyone's attention.)
With the freezing smokes arise, "Nothing expected, those guards were weak." Sueong scoffs.
"Right? They're fodders as you would normally phrase." Hiouis said
"Especially if we got in here this easily." Tyrone holds an unconscious guard by the head via diamond hand.
The smoke clears and reveals Sueong's team out in the open, which everyone glances in attention. Tyrone throws the unconscious guard on the floor.
"Sueong..." Natsu identifies, glancing a little serious.
"Natsu..." Sueong glances back.
"Look at that, they even got here before we did." Hiouis said before winking at carla, which she shivers in disgust.
"You know him?" Mercuphobia asks natsu.
"Yeah, sure do, we go way back..." He replies, before glancing a sueong.
Smelling the water god's scent, next to natsu's team, "Ahhh, so you must be Mercuphobia, the water dragon god. Seems you're in your human form... for now anyway." Sueong identifies.
"You're a dragon slayer as well, right?" Mercuphobia notices via scent, "Have you come to slay me too?" He asks menacingly.
"That's right." Sueong replies, menacingly too, "Slaying you means one dragon god down for the count."
"Kuh...!" Natsu glares.
"Sueong and his team really is here for Mercuphobia..." Lucy mutters.
The diabolos are still in the air on ashes, now eying team sueong, "So we have another group here that's also here to slay the "false" water dragon god, eh." Skullion eyes.
"I can tell they're really strong." Mad-mole raises a hand.
"That one with the white hair smells the same as him." Kyria notices and grins excitedly, comparing sueong to natsu.
"Hm?" Sueong/team look up and notices the diabolos members standing on ashes.
"And who are those guys?" Hiouis wonders
"When he said "too" I guess they're here for the same target as well?" Chelliel guesses.
"Then we got two other groups in the way, huh." Tyrone said.
"..." Sueong catches their scents, "They smell like dragons..."
"Hold on, seriously?!" Hiouis exclaims.
"More Dragon slayers?" Tyrone guesses, narrowing a brow.
"You're half right-cha." Mad-Mole said.
"Half-right?" Chelliel narrows.
"We're called the Dragon-eaters." Degro reveals, "The fifth generation dragon slayer."
"That's a new one... Dragon-eaters?" Tyrone narrows a brow, "Do you know what generation they are?" He asks sueong.
"Nope, don't know and never heard of them." He replies, "A fifth generation of dragon slayers is a new one..."
"And it's nice of you to join us in this little "stand-off." Skullion smirks.
"..." Sueong then smirks back, "Heh, well thanks for the party invitation." He and Skullion glare at each other.
"Hey, sueong." Natsu speaks up, receiving a glance from the latter, "In disguise, your beast hunt mission was targeting the water dragon god all along... very sneaky."
"I'd say the same about you." Sueong scoffs, "Copying my statement just to cover up your real fetch, hmph, Nice try."
"From my point of view, he looks to be getting along well with the water god dragon." Tyrone said, before throwing the unconscious guard on the ground.
"Now that you mentioned it, he is." Chelliel agrees.
"..." Agreeing, Sueong glares at natsu and chuckles, "Heh... heheh."
"What's so funny?" Natsu asks, not liking the sound of it.
"I'm pretty disappointed, you guys are buddies with the water dragon god now? So much for the claim of him being a target." Sueong scoffs.
"That's because he's not evil, so we have no reason to fight him!" Natsu replies.
"Not evil? That's a new one." Sueong scoffs, and finds amusing, "Idiotic ideals."
"What?!" Natsu exclaims.
"You people who taint with my temple will leave at once!" Mercuphobia demands and unleashes 4 Water Tornado's at Sueong and Skullion groups, 2 of each.
(Skullion turns the water to ashes while Sueong turns it to Ice, both doing it with just a wave of their hands.)
"The water... it turned to ashes!" Lucy exclaims.
"It was frozen instantly as well!" Gray exclaims, glancing to sueong, "His ice... it might be stronger than mines!"
"You are no longer the water god dragon that's worthy of being eaten!" Skullion wraps ashes around the water god.
"That was weak, you'll have to do better than that!" Sueong uses Ice-make: Lances before firing them at the water god.
"GAAH!" Mercuphobia exclaims in pain as the ash tightens around him while being struck with multiple Ice lances.
"Lord water dragon!" Caramel exclaims.
"That's enough!" Natsu jumps straight at sueong with a fire fist.
"Wait, Natsu-san!" Wendy exclaims.
Sueong sees it coming and counters with his Ice fist, both in a interlock, "Hmph!"
"That's as far as you go!" Natsu exclaims.
"So you're getting in my way too, natsu?" Sueong glares, not pleased.
"If you insist on doing any more harm to the water god dragon... then I will!" Natsu replies.
"Fine, you're just a hinderance at this point anyway." Sueong scoffs before having Ice come from his feet via a stomp.
Looking under him, "!" Natsu backs off from the interlock and jumps back, dodging the ice in time, "Close." Off-guard, He looks up and sees sueong already at him and he gets kicked all the way to a wall.
"Gah!" Natsu crashes.
"Natsu!" Wendy exclaims.
"Hey pal!" Gray exclaims at trying to rush in.
"Gray, stop!" Erza halts him, "A straightforward attack isn't going to work, and he's an Ice Dragon slayer... so your Ice magic will end up getting eaten by him if you attack."
"Well, I have Ice devil slayer magic, meaning I can eat his ice as well." Gray reminds, "But I get the not rushing in part."
"The water dragon god will be slayed and you're not going to stop us from doing so." Sueong glares at the crash where natsu was sent before eying the 4 diabolos too, "And neither will you dragon-eaters."
"Shall we put that to the challenge." Skullion smirks and waves two-ranged ash attacks at the arkobolos team.
"Here it comes!" Chelliel gets ready.
Sueong waves his hand and flash freezes the ashes before retailing with Ice lances, which Skullion turns them ashes.
"They're evenly matched..." Erza mutters.
"The ash freezes and the ice gets turned to ash..." Wendy adds.
"It's like they're canceling each other out." Lucy said.
"..." Gray is surprised at sueong's great ice control.
"So ash magic is his power..." Tyrone utters.
"It looks to work on anything he waves his hand off to... that's a problem." Hiouis utters.
"Seems my flash-freeze counters his ashes so I'll take care of him." Sueong then adds to his team, "You guys take care of the rest."
"No prob." Tyrone understands, and chelliel nods.
"Heheh, this is making me even more excited, how about I take him on?!" Kyria licks her lips before jumping off the floating ash towards sueong, going for a hand-slice.
Sueong ducks under the attack and ice-kicks Kyria back.
"Tch!" Kyria recovers, which the other dragon eaters land on the ground.
"Nice shot." Hiouis said, smirks proudly.
"That's what you get for going in there recklessly." Degro shakes his head unimpressed at her,
"Shut up." Kyria scoffs, looking away embarrassed.
"What us to lend a hand?" Mad-mole asks.
"No, it's fine". Skullion replies, "The ice dragon slayer is my opponent."
"Alright, suit yourself." Degro shrugs.
"Tch, then I'll just take on her." Kyria eyes Erza, "Blade for blade!"
"She's just perfect for you, don't know who to face here." Degro looks around.
"They are all certainly strong-cha." Mad-mole said, concurring.
"You said it muscle-man." Degro agrees.
"Oh no... now we have two groups to face to protect the water god dragon." Lucy utters, getting ready.
"But why must we fight sueong? It makes no sense considering..." Wendy was gonna say but,
"You'll have to save that thought for later, He already now sees us as enemies so prepare for battle!" Erza tells Wendy and Lucy.
"Right!" Lucy nods, while wendy nods a little, still unsure.
"Heheh, This is an all out war now!" Degro exclaims.
"We'll split and take them down before slaying the water god, let's go!" Sueong tells his team before attacking Skullion with a wave of ice.
"Oh?" Skullion floats and dodges over via ashes before sueong follows him to a different location.
"There he goes." Hiouis notices.
"It's fine. Sueong will find some way to beat that ash dragon-eater." Tyrone said, not worried and knows, "Most importantly, we need to deal with them."
"Then I'll take you on." Gray steps up.
"Bring it on if you can." Tyrone challenges.
Kyria goes for Erza, "You're opponent is me!" And she goes for a hand slice which Erza blocks with her blade, "The sound of blades clashing... it's making me quiver." She shakes excitedly.
A solar beam is aimed at the two, which they jump out of the way, "I'll deal with you two." Chelliel walks up, ready for them.
"I have no interest in fighting someone who doesn't use blades... but if you insist." Kyria shrugs.
"Hmph." Erza only readies her sword for the 3-way fight.
Meanwhile, having been sent back from that ice-kick, Natsu is out of the wreckage and exclaims, "Where's sueong?!"
"Natsu!" Lucy and Wendy exclaim, glad he's okay.
"We almost thought you were down." Carla admits.
"You kidding? He wouldn't let a kick take him out." Happy said.
"Exactly, now where is that jerk?!" Natsu looks around dramatically and sees him and Skullion moving out to fight elsewhere, "There he is!" He rushes after him.
"Natsu, look out!" Lucy exclaims in warning.
He looks and sees Mad-Mole with an incoming kick, which he backflips away from, "Huh? Get out of my way!"
"I'll be your opponent. Best regards." Mad-mole said with a hand up.
"Fine... I'll take you down first before getting to sueong." Natsu lights up his fist.
"Natsu..." Lucy utters.
"Guess that means you two are my opponents then." Degro walks up to Lucy and Wendy, "Provide me with the time of entertainment." He grins, with wendy and Lucy standing on-guard for him.
Things are in total chaos. A three way battle between The Dragon Eaters, Team Sueong, and Team Natsu. These fights will also be changed around a bit so be ready to predict what'll happen.
The fight for who takes down the water dragon god begins now!
