Chapter 10: Clashes

Diabolos Ship:

"What happened?!" Kyria exclaims, sitting up on her bed before seeing only the leash on the floor, "Erza's gone?! she ditched me?!"

"I won't run away until I return the humiliation you gave me." Erza enters the room with a sword in hand, which stuns kyria as she gets ready, "That's the fairy tail way."

"The spell is removed?!" Kyria exclaims, finding it impossible.

"Magic on the eyes have worn off on me." Erza smirks.

"Heh, you wasted all that opportunity when I was sleeping, isn't that soft of you?" Kyria grins and taunts.

"A sleeping opponent isn't good enough to return the favor." Erza states, dramatically smirks and eager to take her out.

On the main deck:

Upon looking over the edge, "Is this your doing?" Skullion senses natsu and wendy behind him.

"Nah, we don't know what happened, but..." Natsu grins, ready.

"We're finally free to move." Wendy finishes the sentence, standing beside natsu.

"Degro's chains... they should have kept you both from doing nothing." Skullion finds rare, "How were they removed?"

"Erza-san removed it." Wendy confirms.

"Underestimating her was a mistake." Natsu grins, "And I want to thrash that chain guy too, wherever he is."

"Well, well." Skullion sighs before darkening his glare, "I knew we should have kept you prisoners alive." He then attacks, "Instead, you'll be turned into corpses."

As a wave of ashes come their way, "Fire Dragon's: Roar!" Natsu counters.

"Even fire turns to ashes." Skullion grins darkeningly.

"Well, normally ashes remain after it's burned." Wendy said.

Ashes beats the fire as it disappears, "What?! My fire disappeared!" Natsu exclaims, stunned.

"I got this, Natsu-san! Maybe my magic would be a better match for his!" Wendy goes dragon-force and attacks, "Sky Dragon's: Windstorm!"

"Hm? The ashes is being flown..." Skullion notices as his ashes are being blown away.

"Now, Natsu-san!" Wendy signals.

Jumping up at him "Take this!" Natsu lands a strike to skullon's face.

"Gyah!" He gets send flying down, but recovers and grins, "By my reputation as a dragon eater, I'll eat you both."

Elmina City:

Please... slay lord water god and put him to peace." Caramille begs, sad look.

"..." Sueong only glances before replying, "We're gonna slay that thing for sure, no doubt about about that..."

"Thank you..." Caramille said.

"However," He states another thing, grabbing her attention, "You seem to know what's really been causing him to act out of character and regaining power as of now. Mind spilling out why this is suddenly out of the blue?"

"..." Caramille has trouble eye contacting before admitting, "This... whole thing is all because of me."

"What do you mean by that?" Chelliel asks.

"It's my fault lord water god is on a rampage..." She then reveals, "I asked the white mage to steal his powers, and hoped that would everything to normal, but..."

"It was the opposite." Sueong gets it quickly, "So there was more to the white mages power other than draining magic... she could control them to do her bidding in return."

"So that's why the water god is like this..." Hiouis gets it now.

"Yes... I regret ever asking the white mage, so please... slay him down with your dragon slayer magic." She begs, glancing at sueong since he has it.

"..." He then responds, "Ya know, you're begging is really pathetic, you know that?"

"Huh?" She's confused.

"First, you beg the white mage to steal his powers and now beg us to clean up your mistake? Sure, slaying mercuphobia was already the main priority, but you're mistake got the the townspeople involved." Sueong states the truth, frowning unimpressed.

Caramille frowns sadly and rebukes, "If... If I were a real mage then I would have stopped him!"

"A sorry excuse like that doesn't change what you did." Sueong criticizes, finding that excuse pitiful.

"..." Caramille remains silent.

"Let's just go and slay this thing. I'm all sobered up now." Tyrone said, stretching his arm.

"Glad to hear it." Sueong turns and glares at the rampaging Mercuphobia, "Time to take the water dragon god down."

"Yes!" Chelliel nods.

"Yeah!" So does Tyrone and Hiouis, before the cat advises to Caramille, "You'd best get to evaluating the people. Things are about to get ugly."

"R-Right..." She nods.

"Now." Sueong then dashes and leads the way, followed by his team into battle.

Diabolos Ship:

In the lower deck, Erza and Kyria continue clashing, being even matched.

"The obedient you was great, but you're better this way so what's the matter? Weren't you going to punish me?!" Kyria exclaims, grinning excitedly.

"Strong..." Erza realizes after a parry.

"So what should I cut next? Shyness should be interesting." Kyria thinks next.

"That hypnosis magic will never work again as having awareness is it's weakness!" Erza clashes.

"What about cutting the feelings towards someone you like?" Kyria grins.

"Not that!" Erza blushes, knowing she has feelings for Jellal.

"It's cute when you blush..." Kyria teases, much to Erza's embarrassment.

"She's unforgivable, but I have to stay focused." Erza thought, readying her sword again before they clash once more for a few seconds.

Kyria lands a round kick that destroys Erza's sword as she blocked, "See? There's nothing I can't cut."

Erza smirks however and rebukes, "No matter what you cut, you can't cut our bonds." Her sword glows and reforms with electricity.

"What? That sword?!" Kyria exclaims, shocked.

"Our job was to slay dragons after all, so I had Wendy enchant this sword." Erza smirks and goes into her sword stands, "Dragon Slayer Sword: Belserion." She reveals the name before adding, "I'll try this out on you."

This got Kyria sweating, finding it shocking at what she's in for.

Elmina City:

"ROOOAAARR!" Mercuphobia continues his rampage to a maximum, creating tornado's of water to engulf everything.

Suddenly, "Ice Dragon King's: Icicle Beast!" Sueong fires an Ice serpent dragon towards merucpobia, having it bite him on the neck and wrap around him. Mercuphobia feels that a little but is completely fine as he brutes the ice serpent off him, shattering it.

With the team appearing on the scene, "We got he's attention." Tyrone said.

"All that's left is to take him down before he harms the towns people." Chelliel adds.

"Easier said than done." Hiouis said, floating via wings.

"..." Sueong glares at the water dragon god, seeing this his first dragon battle ever since acnologia, "We're attacking him from every direction. Let's do this!" He starts dashing as they nod and do so too.

Mercuphobia fires a roar at them, "Scatter Incoming!" Tyrone exclaims before they split up and dodge the attack.

Commencing their attacks, Hiouis flies sueong close to the water dragon to deliver, "Ice Dragon King's: Freezing Sword!" He strikes him in the face, leaving a trail of ice before adding, "Freezing Edge!" He expands the ice even further on the dragon's head.

"Diamond Canon!" Tyrone fires a large beam via magic circle

"Green God's: Solar Beam!" Chelliel summons a large plant and fires to strike a well.

With Tyrone attacking from the left, Chellial on the right, and Sueong from the sky. Their combined assaults strike mercuphobia from all directions.

"It's working!" Tyrone exclaims.

"Time for another..." Sueong attacks, "Ice Dragon King's: Lance!" Larger ones from Ice-Make: Lance are fired, striking the dragon again.

"ROOOAARRR!" Mercuphobia brushes off their attacks and echos, sending them back and stopping them from attacking any further.

Having slide back, "Just an echo held back our attacks?!" Chellial exclaims.

"This will be harder than we thought..." Tyrone said, before jumping on a destroyed building.

Mercuphobia creates a huge water tornados and rains down water blast nukes at the them.

"Scatter!" Hiouis flies sueong out of the way, while Chellial and Tyrone dodge on their end as well, but barely.

"Phew... that was close." Tyrone sighs.

"Getting struck by that would have been bad..." Chelliel admits.

While in the air, Sueong glares at the water god and Hiouis comments, "We knew this wasn't going to be easy..."

Sueong nods and stares, "The power of a dragon god, huh."

Diabolos Ship:

"What's going on up here-cha?!" Mad-mole comes from under-deck and sees the fight ensuing with Skullion facing Natsu and Wendy, "Unbelievable, they got freed from degro's chain?!"

Skullion flies back and scoffs, "How annoying."

"I can blow all the ash away with my magic!" Wendy continues doing so.

"That's great, wendy!" Natsu grins.

"Where is Degro?!" Skullion asks and turns to mad-mole, who's standing beside.

"He might still be sleeping-cha." He replies.

"At a time like this..." Skullion scoffs, "Even that loud crash didn't wake him?"

"Before I go for him, you guys are going down first!" Natsu charges a fire fist at Skullion.

Mad-Mole intercepts it and charges, "Armor Dragon's: Steel Fist!"

"Fire Dragon's: Iron's fist!" Natsu counters, both fist colliding in a shockwave, however, "GYAAH!" Natsu's arm feels the impact from the steel fist.

"Natsu-san!" Wendy exclaims.

"The scales of the armor dragon will never... hm!" Mad-mole widens as Natsu increases the heat on his iron fist.

"No matter how tough the armor is, can it take the heat?" Natsu grins.

"The Armor even had heat resistance!" Mad-mole exclaims dramatically.

"It'll burn!" Natsu rebukes.

"It won't work!" Mad-mole dramatically starts freaking out.

"Natsu-san! Keep going! Wendy cheers, out of dragon-force.

"AARH..." Mad-mole starts getting heated alive.

"BUUURRNN!" Natsu roasts him to the max, "Fire Dragon King's: Purgatory!"

"CHAAA!" Mad-Mole exclaims, losing consciousness and set ablaze.

"His armor was burned through? Impossible!" Skullion exclaims, shocked.

A big ball of fire hovers in the airs over the ship. Once the smoke disappears, Skullion glares in shock, Mad-Mole is burned unconscious, and Wendy's swmsuit bikini melts due to the heat, much to her embarrassment while Natsu grins at his victory.

Elmina City:

After some countless attacks on Mercuphobia, the attacks do nothing as the dragon keeps rampaging.

"Damn it, this is going nowhere..." Tyrone pants a little.

"It's brushing off every attack we throw at it." Chellial adds, agreeing.

While in the air, "Only dragon slayer based attacks have the power to strike through a dragon's scale! God and Devil slayer attributes don't have that type of advantage."

"That's true, but this thing is even unaffected by your attacks!" Tyrone replies.

"Isn't this the time you normally strategize?" Hiouis said.

"I'm working on that." Sueong replies, still figuring out Mercuphobia.

The dragon then summons a giant whirlpool above him, covering the sky.

"Tsk!" Sueong widens, stunned at this size.

"Now that whirlpool is ridiculously big!" Hiouis exclaims, shocked too.

"This is not good..." Chelliel mutters, stepping back a little, "How do we stop that?

"No clue at all... but it's like he's gonna dump the whole ocean on us." Tyrone sweats a little, knowing this isn't good either.

Mercuphobia then starts firing of water nukes their way, causing exploding impacts once hitting the ground.

"AGH!" Tyrone dodges one barely.

"KYA!" Chelliel as well.

Seeing one coming toward him and hiouis's way, "Freeze!" Sueong hand waves and turns the water nuke into ice.

"Nice! You can turn the Ice into water whenever he does that." Hiouis said, glad at that.

"There isn't time to rest, fly me straight at him." Sueong replies, which the exceed nods and does so.

Seeing them flying his way, Mercuphoba controls a wave from the whirlpool down at them.

"Freeze!" Sueong counters and turns water to ice again, before following up, "Ice Dragon King's: Icicle Spear!" He creates and throws. However, Mercuphobia turns the large ice spear into water, which stuns sueong, "What?! He reversed the ice back to water...!"

"Unbelievable...' Chellial widens.

"It's one thing after another with this dragon..." Tyrone mutters.

The ice wave also gets reversed back into water and it swallows up sueong and hiouis.

"GAHUGH!" The two spin in it, engulfed.

"Guys!" Chellial exclaims.

"That's it!" Tyrone decides to attack, "Diamond-Make: Spiked Boulder!" He hurls towards Mercuphobia, which hits the dragon but is ineffective.

Jerking her head back, Green God's: Howl!" Chelliel blows a grass hurricane, but that is ineffective as well.

Struggling due to it's current and knowing he can't use feeezing edge as Hiouis will get caught too, Sueong forces his way out of the wave and after getting out, "Ice Dragon King's: Freezing Blade!" He goes to impale the dragon's face, but suddenly gets struck by a water nuke, "GWHA!" He's sent pummeling towards the ground, which stuns chellial and tyrone, "!"

Having been got out the waves, "Sueong!" Hiouis flies by and catches him before he lands.

"Thanks little buddy." Sueong glances back.

"No prob." Hiouis replies before asking, "So how do you plan on getting close? His control over water is unbelievable..."

Sueong thinks about it for a little and replies, "I'll have to freeze that whirlpool and attack with scattered shower before he reverses my ice back to water..."

"Sueong! We'll distract him while you deliver damage that'll get break through his defensive scale!" Tyrone exclaims before attacking the water god.

"Yeah! It's the only chance we've got!" Chelliel nods before assisting in the attack.

"Alright." Sueong gets what they're doing and glares at the water god dragon for an opening.

Diabolos Ship:

"...Natsu-san, my clothes...!" Wendy covers herself dramatically.

"Hm?" Natsu narrows a brow.

Then out of nowhere, a chain flies in and impales natsu in the chest.

"GAH...!" Natsu widens in shock before kneeling down.

"Natsu-san!" Wendy exclaims, despite still exposed.

"About time you got up here..." Skullion glances back at the chain dragon, "Degro."

"I overslept, my bad." Degro stands out, with his chain in hand, "It got hot all of a sudden, so I came to check what's up, and what do I find? Our captives set free from my chains... which is strange." He fingers his chin, "Even mad-mole going down."

"Grrr...!" Natsu weakly glares at degro, "That was a cheap shot... and my magic feels like it's draining...!"

"The rule is to never let your guard down. That's on you." Degro states before adding, "And I think I poured a good portion of magic out of you, so..." He then yanks the chain out of natsu's chest, which he grunts in a little pain.

"You bastard...!" Natsu slowly gets up.

"If you got a problem then come at me."Degro challenges, with hand daring him to come forward, "Or I'll go first."

"Be my guest!" Natsu fast dashes at him with a flame fist.

"Heh." Degro coats his fist in spinning chains ad clashes with him.

As both fist collide, "GYAH!" Natsu's feels his fist getting cut by the spinning chains.

"Bad move, these spinning chains deliver cutting damage, so colliding with by fist is useless." Degro reveals, smirking before coating his right feet in spinning chains as well and kicks natsu back.

"GRH!" He's sent flying back, and recovers a moment after sliding a little.

"Darn... I want to help natsu-san, but... I can't will exposed like this!" Wendy thought, embarrassingly as she still covers herself.

"You guys are done now." Skullion smirks.

Degro walks up and smirks as well before stating, "It's over." He points his index finger at natsu, firing a chain from it at natsu.

Suddenly, Ice lances are fired out of nowhere, which Degro quickly retracts his chain upon seeing them before dodging them, barely.

"OOOH!" Gray and Happy jump/fly down on the shipping, backing them up.

"Gray! Happy!" Natsu exclaims in joy.

"Made it just in time." Happy said.

"Reinforcements, huh." Degro comments, adjusting his hat.

"They don't give up easily, I'll say this much." Skullion said, arms crossed.

"Open! Gemini!" Lucy calls via key as he and carla join as well.

Gemini twins circle around wendy and creates new clothes(Maid outfit for her), "Wow!" Much to her delight.

"Clothes from the celestial world! Don't make wendy wear weird clothing." Carla said, not that dramatically pleased.

"Lucy-san! Carla!" Wendy exclaims in joy.

"It would be a disgrace to fairy tail's name if we lose continuously." Gray said, determined, "We'll take care of them."

"..." Skullion only glares.

Degro does to and only states, "Mad-Mole."

Out from the wooden deck, "AAAAAHHHH!" Mad-Mole exclaims out and poses in toughness, still burned.

"No way... even after natsu-san's attack..." Wendy utters, stunned.

"Tch..." Natsu glares at mad-mole, "Thought that took care of him."

"Glad to see you up and rolling, big guy." Degro said.

"Thanks-cha..." Mad-Mole utters.

Under deck, "Where's that heat coming from?" Kyria looks up.

"Natsu's Fire." Erza states and notices.

"The ship is... and my clothes are melting!" Kyria looks at herself, before eying erza's, "But why aren't yours?!"

"This is the flame empress armor. It has great fire resistance." Erza explains while in the armor.

"What a great fire." Kyria slithers her lips before jumping at erza, "And now it will get eaten!" Kyria tries to slash erza, but she easily blocks it before palming her in the face, "Gyah!"

"You who eat dragons." Erza readies her sword, "Now it's your time to be eaten by the salamander!" Erza then upper strikes, "Fire Empress: Soaring Flame Blade!"

"GYAAAH!" Kyria is sent plummeting upward, crashing above the main deck, much to everyone's surprise.

Erza was about to finish her off until Degro chain ties Kyria and yanks her into skullion's arms before receding it.

"You can't keep yourself out of trouble can you?" Degro shake his head unimpressed.

"Shut up!" Kyria exclaims dramatically, before exclaiming to skullion, "And put me down!" To which he eventually does so.

The reunited Team Natsu and Dragon Eaters stare each other down.

"They're strong, what a surprise." Skullion admits.

"They finally gave a better fight this time, unlike before." Degro admits as well.

"I'll cut them all down!" Kyria exclaims dramatically.

"Enough. No you're not." Degro said.

"Yeah, just stay calm, kyria." Mad-Mole agrees.

""We'll deal with the water god ourselves, so leave him alone." Natsu warns them.

"Deal with him? You mean, kill him?" Skullion rephrased that, "How's that any different from us eating him?"

"We won't kill him. We'll solve the issue another way." Natsu replies and declares it.

"Oh yeah? Even the ice dragon slayer and his group were going to kill him." Skullion smirks, referring to Team Sueong, "I tried getting him to join us... but of course, he refused."

"Didn't tell us about that earlier..." Degro narrows.

"Like we need him, he's mine next time!" Kyria exclaims dramatically.

"Settle down." Mad-Mole advises.

Degro rolls his eyes and sighs unsurprised before stating to Natsu, "You see, when up against a dragon god, there is no other solution, but to kill them. It's common sense and you know it."

"No it's not." Natsu argues, "Mercuphobia isn't an evil guy, so you guys, as well as sueong and his team need to stay out of it. This is our job."

"Interesting... it's true that the White Mage stole the powers of the water god dragon, hence we're no longer after him, but..." Skullion trails and grins.

"As long as there's a dragon involved, they'll be eaten. And you can't do anything about that." Degro grins and finishes.

"Oh yeah?" Natsu grows annoyed at not making himself clear.

"Looks like two out of the four of you are unable to fight." Gray notices, eying kyria and mad-mole.

"Oh really? I could easily handle the two of you without trying." Degro states, glancing at lucy and wendy for example, "And I already drained some magic from that guy. We practically have the advantage." Glances at natsu next, much to his irritation.

"Want to put that to the test? We still have the advantage in numbers." Erza states the obvious.

"Like numbers mean anything when one's firepower is lowered." Degro said, standing by what he said before that.

"What now?!" Kyria exclaims, falling for their statement.

"It's true that it's 5 against us 4, I'll admit it. That is... with just us." Skullion smirks.

This stuns team natsu and lucy asks, "You have other allies?!"

"We told you, we are a guild of dragon eaters." Mad-mole reminds, "We have lots of them."

"We'd like to stay and have some more fun... but we'll leave it at that for today." Degro said, "And seeing that you guys, as well as thet ice dragon slayer's group are after the dragon gods, this won't be our last meeting."

"That's right." Skullion agrees, slowly turning his team to ashes in retreat, but not before saying this, "Only then, you'll know the Diabolos's true power."

With that final statement, the Diabolos team leaves in ashes.

"A guild only of their kind..." Lucy trails.

"They left their ship?" Natsu looks down.

"Foolish, right?" Carla agrees.

"!" Happy notices something with the ship, "What?! The ship is turning to ashes!"

"So that's what it was made of?!" Lucy exclaims as she and Wendy coughed from it.

"So they can use ash make magic?!" Erza looks around.

"How is it "ash make magic"?!" Gray exclaims dramatically, "But it can't be precise..." He thought before thinking of degro, "And there's something about that chain guy..."

"What do we do now?" Happy asks Natsu.

"Well, we can return to the old water god's palace." He suggests.

"Is he that old to you?" Lucy sweat-drops.

"About that..." Carla isn't sure and thinks back to what caramille said to them.

"Don't worry! It's fine! We got rid of them!" Natsu cheers in victory, "And we don't plan on killing the water god either."

"Way too confident." Lucy sweat-drops.

Elmina City:

Chellial and Tyrone start getting worn out from attacking until the latter exclaims, "Now, Sueong!"

"Yeah!" The ice slayer flies in via hiouis attacks, "Ice Dragon King's: POLAR FIST!" He strikes mercuphobia in the face before following up, "Ice Dragon King's: ROAR!" It strikes as well, delivering some damage, how mercuphobia is still unaffected, "Kuh!" Which stuns them.

The dragon proceeds to control a large water wave down at Sueong and Hiouis before he retaliates, "Freezing Edge!" The water freezes instantly before he quickly attacks/controls, "Ice Dragon's: Scattered Shower!" Large Ice shards are launched down upon the dragon, which hits it, but the water dragon quickly reverses the ice shards and wave back to water.

"Damn...!" Sueong exclaims and scoffs.

"He keeps turning the ice back to water, this is starting to go nowhere..." Hiouis said, uneased.

"Shit! After all those attacks..." Tyrone scoffs.

"ROOOAAAAR!" Mercuphobia releases more water nukes, raining down upon the buildings, causing explosions, and team sueong gets blow away.

"UGH!" Tyrone's blown back.

"AGH!" Chellial as well.

"WAH!" Hiouis too.

"KUH!" Sueong for last, getting them all the back, distance from the water dragon god.

After a minute, once the smoke clears, Team Sueong gets up and glares at the out-of-control mercuphiba as it continues rampaging.

"What should we do... nothing is working..." Chellial mutters, uneased.

"We need something that will work...!" Tyrone said, frustrated.

"Tch..." Sueong scoffs his teeth, "This is back-and-forth between elements is getting annoying... something needs to work!"

Suddenly, "Come on, it's unlike you to lose your cool during these situations, sueo-san." A male walks.

"Yeah, your level of strategies usually come through..." A female walks up too.

The team turns and is caught by surprise.

"You two?!" Chellial exclaims.

"Well, this is totally surprising." Tyrone admits.

"..." Sueong glances at the two and states, "So you guys came all the way out here on your own, huh? Jetaol, Kanata." He reveals their names.

"Yep, you guys look to be in trouble, need a hand?" Jetaol grins, him being ready with fist pound together. [Arkobolos Guild Mage: Jetaol Hairzo]

"This one specializes in water and I'm raring to go." Kanata grins, she ready as well and fists out. [Arkobolos Guild Mage: Kanata Neiary]

What you all been waiting for, the first introduction of new Arkobolos Guild members, Jetoal and Kanata.

Note, the fight with Mercuphobia is going to be different here than the OG Manga, so expect some hype stuff cause it'll be crazy.

Take great guesses on what abilities Jetoal and Kanata will have.

Jetoal Appeareance:

A short young man with a muscular build. Has green eyes and messy dark-brown hair with bangs in the front, long enough to cover his ears/forehead. Wears matching shorts that extends below his knees and wears a green tunic/brown jacket with sleeve extend to the elbows, with his shoes the same as his jacket/tunic. Age 17.

Kanata Appearance:

A petite girl with light-blue hair(with a little yellow on the sides) and with a ponytail tied to the left side and bangs down to her chest. Has light red eyes and wears a sailor uniform with a short buttoned skirt with a loosely tied blue scarf and dark-blue wrist guards, as well as same colored boots that run from thigh to toe. Age 15.

Also note: Jetoal is a little shorter than sueong and natsu, while Kanata's the same height as wendy.
