Chapter 12: Spiraling Water

Kanata powers up after eating Mercuphobia's water, feeling more energy than ever and spiral water surrounding her.

"That girl's a dragon slayer too?!" Gray exclaims, surprised.

"On top of that, she her magic is increasing rapidly!" Erza exclaims.

"Woah..." Lucy widens.

"Yeah! Go for it, Kanata." Jetoal exclaims excitedly.

Sueong also confirms her to attack which she nods and exclaims, "Here I go!" She dashes and attacks, "Water Dragon's: Aqua Jet!" She surrounds her in spiraling water before jumping like a rocket towards Mercuphobia and slams into him hard, which shocks team natsu in surprise.

The dragon slides back from the impact, but is fine.

"Great shot!" Chellial exclaims, impressed.

"The Aqua battle begins, we're fighting fire with fire!" Jetaol exclaims.

"You mean, water with water... but fair enough I guess." Tyrone sweat-drops before adding, "One things for sure, to our eyes it's starting to work on the water god."

Kanata keeps using Aqua jet and moves toward Mercuphobia at high-speed. The dragon retaliates with multiple water nukes, but she manages to dodge them and strikes him in the chest, causing the dragon to roar grunt and slide back. She keeps this up, moving around the air in Aqua jet and constantly keeps striking him.

"They're evenly matched... she's actually going head with him!" Lucy exclaims, surprised.

"Yeah, go get'em, kanata!" Hiouis exclaims, still got sueong by the back.

"Heh, the plan that was devised earlier was to test this out. I wanted to know what eating the element of a dragon god would look like, and this is the result of it." Sueong smirks, "Using water attacks against the god of water wouldn't do much. I had Kanata stick to physical attacks like Aqua jet for backup before we resumed our assault and it's paying off."

As Kanata keeps up the Aqua jet attacks, "She's pushing him back... but how?" Natsu widens.

"Could it be because... she eat his water?" Wendy guesses.

After getting striked six times, Mercuphobia roars and had enough before moving his tail and smacks her down.

"GAH!" Kanata hits the ground hard.

"Kanata!" Jetoal, Tyrone, and Chellial exclaim.

"We need to get in there now!" Hiouis exclaims, but sueong halts him.

"Hold on..." He knows she isn't down.

Getting out of the rubble, "*Cough* This isn't over!" Kanata then goes Dragon-force, increasing in more power and spiraling water around her.

"Dragon-force?!" Wendy exclaims.

"Amazing..." Carla utters.

"This girl ain't playing around. That's some power." Natsu states.

"She might turn it around." Happy said.

"HAAAA!" She Aqua jets up at Mercuphobia and bashes him in the face, landing a more effective hit.

Mercuphobia is pushed back, roars in grunt before Kanata jet towards his chest and creates a water sword, "Water Dragon's: Aqua slash!" She strikes him effectively at the chest.

"ROOAARR!" The dragon grunts in pain, looking to fall down.

"A mix of dragon-force and water God's water is a huge boost in reversing his own water wave against him." Sueong thought, smirks in mind, "Victory is assured at this point."

"Once more!" Kanata then controls the water wave above Mercuphobia, which stuns them, "Let's see how you like tasting your own water nukes." She uses, "Water Dragon's: Sea Shower!" Big droplets of water are fired onto Mercuphobia, in the process on him.

"She's using his own water against him!" Gray exclaims.

"That water control is crazy..." Erza utters, surprised.

"So this is what happens when water God's water is consumed..." Chellial admits surprise.

Mercuphobia roars after these blows and assumes the water back under his control.

"Damn, He's regained control of the sky water!" Jetoal exclaims.

Mercuphobia fires them right back at Kanata, who swiftly dodges them while floating in Aqua jet.

"We're backing her up, guys! She inflicted big damage on him now let's make it worse!" Sueong tells to his team before attacking with Multiple large Ice Lances.

"Affirmative!" Tyrone attacks with Diamond Canon.

"Yes!" Chellial attacks with Green God's: Solar beam.

"Perfect dragon attack!" Jetoal fires large wood splinters.

Mercuphobia is met with attacks from each of them, getting pushed back hard.

Seeing Team Sueong attack, "Guys! Even though she slowed him down, we're using this chance to get in there and attack as well! We can't let them get ahead of us!" Natsu exclaims to his team before attacking with a roar.

"Alright!" Erza attacks with heaven's wheel.

"You said it!" Gray attacks with a ice-make: canon.

"Right!" Wendy attacks with a roar, in dragon-force.

"Mm!" Lucy nods and continues firing star shots.

Everyone attacks Mercuphobia and the dragon is bombarded from all sides, with his sky water controlled by Kanata.

"ROOOAAARR!" Mercuphobia increases power, regaining control of the water waves and rains down more nukes them ever, making them cut off their attacks and dodge, also destroying more of the city.

"Enough!" Kanata exclaims, jetting towards him, "Aqua Slash!" She strikes him under the chin and up this time before jetting above and slashes down on his face, another effective strike.

She lands on a destroyed building, feeling worn out, "*pant*pant*pant* I'm... starting to reach my limit..." The girl thought, trying to maintain dragon-force.

"Oh no, she's getting tired!" Hiouis notices.

"Damn, so there was gonna be a time limit to how much she could use mercuphobia water against him, and on top of that, using dragon-force furthers the toll. What drawbacks." Sueong said, still carried.

Kanata readies any attack, panting a little, "I got to put him down with this next attack... I'm almost done.". Mercuphobia eyes her and she controls a water nuke at him from above to distract him, which explodes on him before she attacks, "Water Dragon's Secret Art: Hydro Aqua Blast!" She blast's him with a large spiraling hydro pump, which the dragon gets hit on mark. She goes for one more attack, forming a water sword, "I'll finish thus now-" Before she could do so, Meruphobia's tail smacks her.

"GWHA!" She shouts in pain, plummeting and crashes to the ground.

"Kanata!" Jetoal/Tyrone exclaims.

"Oh no!" Hiouis exclaims.

"Damn it...!" Sueong scoffs, glaring more at the water god.

"Kuh!" Natsu glares.

"No way!" Happy exclaims.

"After all those attacks..." Gray trails, stunned.

"He's still fine…!" Erza too.

"Guys! More water pillars incoming!" Wendy exclaims out.

The nukes come, more destructive than before, "GWUUAAH!" Everyone yells, getting send flying by the shockwaves in those nukes as they hit the ground/buildings. The citizens run for their lives as well, seeing the city getting destroyed more.

After fly dodging, "Hiouis, I'm attacking him where he won't expect it, so try and fly me high above him." Sueong tells his cat pal.

"Wha- are you sure about that?! What if he notices?" Hiouis exclaims.

"No, he won't. Just trust me and get us up there." Sueong insists, glaring at the water god.

"..." Hiouis thinks and replies in defeat, "Fine, let's do it..." He proceeds to.

"Damn, her attack didn't work..." Natsu scoffs and states to his cat partner, "Happy, fly me up towards the wave."

"H-Huh? Are you serious?!" Happy exclaims.

"Trust me, I got a plan. One that'll caught him off guard and won't see coming." Natsu replies, sure of it.

"..." Happy replies after some thinking, "All right, but be careful." He proceeds to do so as well.

The teams are scattered and recovering after the shockwaves of those water pillar nukes, with gray saying, "Couldn't freeze one on time, damn..." He scratches his head.

"You couldn't freeze all of them, there were too many." Carla said.

"In any case..." Erza looks around.

"Where did natsu and happy go?" Wendy looks around too.

"Yeah..." Lucy looks too.

Another end, Tyrone cracks his arm and states, "My armor barely saved me."

"This dragon just won't quit, no matter how many times we attack him." Jetoal said, but kinda grins "I didn't expect it to be this hard, I'll admit."

"Said that with a smile?" Tyrone sweat-drops.

"You okay, kanata?" Chelliel uses grass healing on her.

Waking up, "Ugh... y-yeah..." Kanata struggle replies, shaking her head a little.

"You did great out there. Just rest and take it easy now." Jetoal grins, thumbs up.

"...Okay." Kanata nods, smiles and blushes a little.

"Sueong and hiouis are flying really high... what are they up to?" Tyrone points out and glance high.

"Huh?" Chellial glances up as well.

Now swimming out of the sky wave, Natsu lands on top of mercuphobia.

"Since when did natsu get there?!" Carla exclaims, surrpised.

While on top of him, "I didn't want to do this... since you loved this city." Natsu flames up his fist, "But you will be stopped." He brings it down, "Dragon Slayer Secret Arts: CRIMSON LOTUS: EXPLODING FLAME BLADE!" The attack bombards all over mercuphobia.

"Here we go." Hiouis glances at the attack, "Seems natsu already landed a big attack."

"Not like it'll be enough to finish him. This is the attack that'll end off mercuphobia for good." Sueong prepares his attack and launches "Dragon Slayer Secret Art: Absolute Vortex Hail! He rears his hands together, back and then forward before releasing a wide waved ice whirlpool.

"!" Natsu sees the attack coming, "Woah!" He quickly jumps of mercuphobia and Happy catches him.

The ice vortex lands a direct hit on Mercuphobia, which he then freezes and become an Iced statue, "Stay frozen... for endless times."

"Incredible..." Gray mutters, surprised by this ice attack.

"He's froze him completely..." Erza adds.

"They both did it..." Wendy mutters.

"Crazy combination attack..." Jetoal said, surprised, "Wish I was part of that."

"No shit." Tyrone admits.

"Did that get him?" Kanata glances as chellial finishes up healing her.

"What the hell! The almost hit me!" Natsu exclaims at sueong, who ignores him, much to natsu's irritation.

"Whatever, things are finally turned around in this fight." Sueong glances at the frozen statue of the water god.

"Yeah, finally." Hiouis agrees.

As everyone looks on, a sudden rumble goes from inside the ice.

"Hm?!" Sueong glances and widens.

Mercuphobia busts out of the ice and roars loud.

"Impossible!" Sueong exclaims, shocked.

"He took zero damage from that?!" Natsu exclaims.

"No way..." Lucy mutters.

"Are you kidding?!" Gray exclaims.

"That can't be..." Chelliel too.

"You shitting me?!" Tyrone exclaims.

"He busted out of that almost instantly!" Erza exclaims.

"Even a combination couldn't put him down!" Jetoal exclaims.

"What's that giant whirlpool!" Kanata exclaims in notice.

A giant whirlpool spins above them. Natsu and Sueong start getting pulled in by the current, along with happy and Hiouis.

"The hell!" Sueong exclaims and looks us at the whirlpool.

"We're being sucked up!" Natsu exclaims.

"Guys, get out of there!" Wendy exclaims.

At the same time, Natsu and Sueong grabbed ahold of the cats and threw them far away from them, preventing them from getting sucked in.

"Natsu!" Hapoy exclaims.

"Sueong!" Hiouis exclaims too, both trying to fly back, but...

"No! Stay right where you are!" Sueong exclaims to Hiouis.

"Don't come any closer or you'll get pulled in!" Natsu exclaims to happy.

Both cats only look in shock at being unable to do anything.

"Freezing Edge!" Sueong tries, but nothing's working, "Why isn't it working?! I can't freeze it!"

"Freeze!" Gray tries the same on the whirlpool but fails, "Freeze! Please!"

The two whirlpools suck in the boys even deeper, their muffled yelling at trying to get out proving to be futile and next thing that happens is that they're slowly sucked in. Much to everyone's shock.

"No..." Wendy mutters, tearing up.

"That can't..." Kanata mutters, widen eyes.

Not knowing what to say, "Sueong!" Chelliel exclaims, almost in tears.

Kneeling in defeat, "Natsu!" Lucy exclaims, same thing.

All seems lost as the teams lost their strongest fighters... until something unexpected happens.

"Nh-Ah-Ah. This won't happen on my watch, Mercuphobia."

"This one is mine and you won't take him, water dragon god."

Two hands grab Natsu and Sueong as they're deep voices are heard in the dark whirlpool, showing their eyes glowing from the abyss.

Massive cliffhanger and we know what's next, but with the extension.
