Chapter 14: Heritage of elements
Separately, Ignia and Icigonis grin sinisterly at the shocked Natsu and Sueong.
Starting with Sueong/Icigonis:
"Don't fuck with me..." Sueong scoffs, glaring in a little shock/mad, "Icigoneal would have stated this to me a long time ago! I'm the one whom he raised as a son."
"I'm aware of that, but believe it or not, I'm the real deal. His scent is proof, isn't it? The Ice Dragon king, Icigoneal." Icigonis grins as the area is frozen around them, "This makes sibling brothers, with me being the older brother of course."
"Kuh..." Sueong glares mad, and corrects that statement "You're referring to me as Sueong. That's it."
"Ahh..." Hiouis trembles dramatically behind sueong's leg, finding this surprisingly shocking
Natsu/Ignia:
"Are you kidding me?! I'm Igneel's son!" Natsu exclaims.
"I know. He may have though of you as his son, but I carry his blood through my veins." Ignia grins as the area around them is on fire, "The fire dragon king, Igneel."
"...!" Natsu glares mad.
"Uhh..." Happy trembles dramatically behind natsu's leg.
Parallel:
"Then explain this to me, why hasn't icigoneal ever transformed into a human? He's always remained in dragon form." Sueong said, wanting answers, "This is just ridiculous..."
"Since you don't know." Icigonis explains this, "To some extent, every dragon in this world has a limit to their transformation, like mercuphobia over there and that fool, Ignia, for example, as you can see."
"Ignia... the fire dragon god just now, huh..." Sueong figures out.
Parallel:
After Natsu exclaims the same statement, Ignia also explains the dragon transformations, "Dragons don't form families. They have children in their breeding season before giving them to their mother to raise."
Parallel:
"From that point on, the children couldn't see their father again and you know what? That's why I have no feelings toward Icigoneal, who decides to take a human under his shell and then kicks the bucket after the extinguishment of his soul." Icigonis states, not caring in the slightest.
Parallel:
After saying the same about Igneel, but with acnologia killing him off, "Us, dragon gods, including that Ice-brain, Icigonis, fled to here to guiltina after escaping acnologia 400 years ago."
"So that ice dragon from before was icigonis..." Natsu gets it now.
"Moving on, our powers grew to the point that we surpassed," Ignia continues
Parallel:
"The dragon we once feared." Icigonis finishes the same sentence and crackles his fist before smirking widely, "Although... it would have been very delightful to give acnologia a taste of what true despair is, one that's so cold, freezing the bone, flesh, and everything else in him. Nothing would have toped that." He blows fog out his mouth at that sentence, "But, I see that you and seven other dragon slayers, that fire dragon slayer over there being one of them, took Acnologia out of the picture."
Parallel:
"Acnologia's death should have been by my hands." Ignia tightens his fist and wanted it, "Not to avenge igneel, but to test what I'm capable of." He smirks with the heat rising, and continues, "He bit the dust at the hands of humans no less, so I came here to check for myself at what igneel's son is capable of, but what do I find?"
Parallel:
"Even though you humans bested him, your current level of performance is a disappointment." Icigonis taunts, hands on hips, "You're getting help from the fire dragon slayer and everyone else here and still can't take down a 50% dragon god? Pitiful, heh."
"..." Sueong glares.
Parallel:
"You're weaker than I previously thought." Ignia taunts, lowering down with one hand on hip, "Though what did I expect? You had help from that ice dragon slayer and a bunch of other ones."
"..." Natsu glares, before replying, "So what if I did? Having friends is ones true strength."
"How stupid." Ignia shakes his head and sighs, eyes closed.
Parallel:
Sueong smirks back and taunts, "This is laughable, coming from the dragon who fled from acnologia like a coward, heh, you call yourself a dragon god? Pathetic. You simply got outdone by us, humans."
"Oh?" Icigonis's smirks turns to a dark glare with mad veins, "Trying to be funny are we? The tough guy act won't work here." He turns his glare to a grin for some reason, "Actually, this is a good opportunity to show you what "Cryogenice" really is."
"That ability you stated earlier..." Sueong recalls.
"Exactly, the true nature of ice dragon slayer magic, one that enables you to freeze the living cells, flesh, and tissues of an organism at very low temperatures. It's used in both defense and offense, making one stronger as a fight goes on." Icigonis explains with his arms spread proudly with ice fogging from them.
"You're not making any sense, no one can even take a normal absolute zero, so where is this "perfect" coming from?" Sueong asks, finding this ridiculous.
"Didn't you listen at all?" Icigonis eyes closed and sighs before opening and having an idea that he grins sadistic too, "Since it isn't clear to you by words, then I'll do a demonstration by freezing your cat or your 4 other friends, though I think the former would do fine."
Hearing this makes Hiouis step back further behind his partner's leg as the latter, especially, glares angrily, "I won't let you!" He's now in attack position.
"So that made you ticked, huh?" Icigonis smirks sadistically.
"You know good and well that taking me on is going to be difficult for you after hearing those rumors." Sueong slowly forms a sharp ice blade.
"Heh, not at all. I've longed surpassed the late dragon king." Icigonis shakes his head/eyes closed and with his hand challenging sueong to attack, "Give me you're best shot if you got it."
Parallel:
"Eventually, we will fight 1-on-1. At the level you're at now, it wouldn't be fun, so train harder so our battle can really get heated. If you're not feeling motivated then I can give you a little kick..." Ignia grins crazy sadistically, lowers with hands on hips and states, "By killing off those precious friends of yours one by one. Starting with that cat of yours."
Happy trembles as well at hearing that before Natsu widens his eyes in infuriation at that statement, flames around him.
With these separate provoking's, Natsu dashes at ignia and Sueong appears above icigonis.
Separately, Both dragon gods are a little surprised at their speeds, but nevertheless, they smirk as Ignia catches natsu's fist and Icigonis blocks sueong's blade with his barehand.
Parallel:
"He blocked it with his bare hands!" Sueong thought, shocked at this density.
"Was that your best shot? Now let me show you mine." Icigonis grins and shatters the blade easily, causing sueong to back away and gain distance.
Parallel:
"Oh? Your power is amplified by your emotions, I see." Ignia understands and pushes him back.
"Kuh!" Natsu scoffs upon distance.
"It'll take way more than that to burn me." Ignia smirks, before lighting his own fist with fire, still holding natsu's fist.
"GYAH!" Natsu feels the burn on his fist.
"Natsu!" Happy exclaims.
"That's what real flames is suppose to do. Yours is a candle compared to mine." Ignia pushes him back.
"Guh..." Natsu recovers from that, shaking off his minor burnt fist.
"Use your emotions to counter Mercuphobia otherwise, he'll kill your friends for me." Ignia grins.
Parallel:
Icigonis points his finger at sueong and he starts freezing.
"It's cold... and I'm freezing?!" Sueong sees his lower body frozen.
"Sueong!" Hiouis exclaims.
"This is the difference between your ice power and mine." Icigonis states, "You attack from the outside, while mine spreads from inside ones body and prevents them from moving effectively. This is what Cryogenice is. In another way, Dragon Zero."
"Grrr...!" Sueong continues freezing, trying to fight it, but,
"Nah, freezing you now would ruin things. After all, you still have someone to deal with." Icigonis points at the still rampage Mercuphobia before tightening his left hand to let sueong free from his ice, shattering it off, "Defeat mercuphobia first, else you and everyone else will die." He adds, "And once you know how , we shall fight 1-on-1 till one of us freeze the other to the very fleshing core. At your very best is despair will be delivered!"
He then jumps and morphs into dragon form before exclaiming to the ice slayer, "Sueong! I'll be waiting for our next encounter!" He flies away into the clouds out of sight.
Parallel:
"There he goes." Seeing Icigonis fly off in dragon form, About time I get going myself anyway." Ignia jumps in the air and begins morphing before exclaiming to the fire slayer, "We'll meet again, natsu!" In dragon form, he flies out of sight in flames.
"That bastard!" Natsu exlaims, already irritated with him.
On the opposite building side, "That son of a..." Sueong scoffs/glares up.
Both teams come to the two's aids on opposite sides.
"Sueong, you alright dude?" Tyrone asks.
"Yeah, don't worry, I'm good." Sueong replies.
"I want in! what were you guys talking about that was so intense?" Jetoal asks, dramatically curiously.
"Plus, it seemed like he knew you." Kanata adds.
"I'll explain that later. We still have a dragon god to deal with and we won't stop till it's down." Sueong glares up at mercupobia.
"Hold on sueong! You should eat this ice to power up before it ends up turned into water." Hiouis points out, seeing the Icigonis's ice slowly turning to water.
"Yeah, it'd be a great advantage!" Chellial agrees.
"Not happening, I don't need that asshole's ice to power-up." Sueong scoffs turning the other way.
"But there's no other choice!" Tyrone exclaims.
"Come on, sueo-san! You have too!" Kanata agrees.
"Grrr..." Sueong hesitates, thinking back to Icigonis's statement of being Icigoneal's son.
"Quit being a jerk! This might be the only way to beat him!" Jetoal exclaims out.
Team Natsu:
At the same time, "Are you okay, natsu?!" Wendy exclaims as they run over.
"Who was that guy?" Gray asked.
"It looked like you two were talking. Is he a friend of yours?" Erza asked.
"No..." Natsu dramatically turns around, which Lucy sweat-drops.
"Never mind that now! That guy said Natsu needs to eat his flames!" Happy exclaims, dramatically waving his paws.
"Oh right! You can eat them to power up!" Lucy gets it and urges him too.
"I don't need that dummies flames!" Natsu exclaims, dramatically stubborn.
"This isn't the time for that!" Carla exclaims.
"It's now or never, Natsu!" Happy exclaims.
"Gnghh..." Natsu hesitates, recalling Ignia's claim of being Ignia's son.
"Hurry up and eat them, you dumbass!" Gray tuck him dramatically by the scarf, "Look at the situation here!"
Hearing their teams pressure them into eating the elements, "Damn it!" Natsu and Sueong both exclaim in defeat and proceed to eat up all the fire and ice on their opposite sides.
After finishing the Ice, "This ice is just like his, so this is what it tastes like." He thinks of icigoneal, "I feel a surge of power springing through me!" He takes off his sleeveless shirt/jacket, leaving only his scarf.
After finishing the Fire, "This fire smells just like igneel, I hate to admit it." He rubes his mouth, "I feel a rise of power!"
"I'm getting Fired/Cooled up!" They exclaims their catchphrases separately at the same time.
Both of their appearances change upon eating their elements from the dragon gods, gaining scales all over their bodies. Sueong's Ice and fists turning dark white to where it's close to dark blue while Natsu's fists and fire turns black red.
With this massive powerup, they both jump at mercuphobia from their positions, which the dragon widens in sudden surprise. Sueong delivers a large Ice punch which explodes of ice before Natsu punches the dragon down from the other side, exploding of fire and making him crashing into the city.
"WOAH...!" The teams widen their eyes in shock at their combination, evening making mercuphobia feel damage.
"They've got the same amp from a dragon god like I did." Kanata thought, surprised.
"This is just like what happened with her..." Erza thinks back to Kanata eating Mercuphobia's water to gain a big power up.
Natsu dives down for another strike, but Mercuphobia recovers and smacks him down with his tail.
Sueong goes for another attack as well, but the dragon blows a roar in his direction, "Useless!" Sueong easily freezes it at a fast rate all the way up before hopping on the iced roar.
The dragon tries delivering a tail bash, but Sueong easily stops it by holding back his tail with his fists before smacking it away.
"Are you serious?!" Gray exclaims
"He smacked his tail away that easily!" Happy exclaims dramatically.
Afterwards Sueong runs atop the iced roar and delivers another massive ice punch to the dragon, and Natsu(having been recovered) grabs mercuphobia by his rear and slams him into the city.
"The hell?!" Tyrone exclaims.
"He was able to lift that huge dragon?!" Hiouis exclaims.
"Both of these guys are insane!" Jetoal grins in shock, at the same time, finsing this amazing.
"They're both beating him!" Wendy exclaims, amazed and stunned.
"I can't tell who out of the three are the bigger monsters!" Carla admits.
"They have him on the ropes!" Kanata exclaims.
"Just a few more blows!" Chelliel exclaims.
"So this is the power they received after eating their elements." Erza said, looking on surprised and amazed.
"..." Lucy, however, trembles and has a bad feeling about those power ups, especially Natsu's fire.
The fight continues with Mercuphobia pushed back, taking a lot of damage from the amped up dragon slayers, "ROOOAAARRR!" He increases his power percentage to 70% and rains down water shower nukes fast and large.
"Freeze." Sueong calmly fog smokes out and the water nukes freezes instantly, "You can take these back." He waves a hand in control and fires the frozen nukes back at Mercuphobia, striking him in the face.
Natsu forms dark fire in his hands, "Get a load of this!" He throws two fireballs in a following, landing on the dragon again as he plummets back.
The dragon piles back up and starts inflating something up his neck.
"What?!" Gray exclaims.
"He's not done yet!" Jetoal exclaims.
"He's inflating himself!" Tyrone exclaims.
"What is he doing..." Chellial trails.
"Is that..." Erza trails
"A serious dragon roar?!" Wendy exclaims.
"In their current states, it shouldn't..." Kanata trails.
Mercuphobia fires his roar at the two.
"Ice Dragon King's: Absolute Ice Age!" Sueong raises his right hand and fires a large beam of dark ice, mixed with a wave. Freezing the roar instantly and mercuphobia himself.
"Fire Dragon King's: Gleaming fire!" Natsu puts his palms together and fires a large fireball, crashing through the ice and explodes upon impact on mercuphobia.
Both attacks cause great damage to mercuphobia, making him stumble down with iced burns.
"Did that do it?!" Erza exclaims.
"Keeping fight everyone!" Natsu exclaims out, grabbing both teams attention, "We're taking him down together! Just like we did with acnologia!" He glances to sueong next, who does the same, "Am I right, sueong?!"
"Hmph!" Sueong scoffs but knows he's right, as much as he didn't want to admit it and turns and nods to his team to do the same.
Hearing and seeing that as in approval, "Let's all finish this!" Natsu exclaims.
"Him calling the shots? Ha!" Jetaol finds amusing.
"Welp, Sueong approved it so let's get in there!" Tyrone grins and rushes.
"Finally, a dragon slaying seal!" Gray grins and rushes.
"Let's go!" Erza exclaims.
"Aim for his legs, it'll probably knock him off balance!" Wendy exclaims out.
They do so as Erza, Chellial, Gray, Tyrone, and Jetoal attack his legs.
"Now!" Chellial signals the amped slayers.
Sueong forms his attack while Natsu readies his fist with a full strike, jumping at mercuphobia.
"Fire Dragon King's: DEMOLITION FIST!" He lands a massive upper cut, making mercuphobia fall back with smoke.
"Time to end this." Sueong has his ice spear set in hand and throws, "Ice Dragon King's: ICICALE SPEAR!" The attacks lands a direct strike on mercuphobia, causing a huge ice explosion.
Now unable to continue his rampage, Mercuphobia calls to the ground, defeated.
"They did it..." Kanata mutters.
"Water god dragon..." Caramille knees to the ground, crying with tears and holding her mouth, "This was... probably for the best..."
Upon his defeat, Natsu starts acting strange and menacingly marches towards mercuphobia with his fist still dark enflames, "Not yet..." He utters out, with his eyes darken, "There's still... his body left..." He gets closer.
"!" Erza notices.
"Natsu?" Gray asks out.
"What's up with him?" Tyrone thought the same.
Sueong lands on top of the defeated mercuphobia, his dark ice fist forming a sword.
"Sueong?" Chellial notices likewise.
"Him too?!" Gray knows something's off.
"So they're planning too..." Jetoal knows, glancing.
"What's going on with them..." Hiouis mutters.
"Something's not right..." Kanata notices with the two(Still amped), "Are these some sort of after-affects that happens after consuming the element of a dragon god? It's different from mine..."
Stating this out, "This is to make sure he stays down for good." Sueong raises and stabs his ice blade into mercuphobia's chest.
"What are you doing?!" Erza exclaims.
"The fight was already over!" Gray exclaims.
"I understood where he was coming from..." Jetoal trails.
"But still though..." Tyrone finishes, both knowing the fight's already done.
"It may seem that way, but not till a little something extra is added." Sueong looks down/galres at erza and gray.
Feeling a bad aura, Sueong glances down at natsu, who slowly and menacingly glares up at sueong with shadow over his wide eyes.
"..." Even though he notices something off with natsu, he doesn't say anything and glares down at natsu in the same manner, both staring off with their amped states.
Another massive cliffhanger. Things are taking a dark turn.
Plus, Sueong's personality is almost a similar mix to Sasuke(Naruto) and Law(One Piece).
