Ember woke up really sore the next morning. Memories came back to her when she felt the burn on her back. She went to the bathroom and saw two letters, KR, carved onto her back after she took the bandage off.

Her eyes widened seeing it.

She got her first aid kit out and got fully undressed to get a shower and clean it. She started crying as she remembered what he did to her after cutting that into her back. It disgusted her that she had something of his inside her in a way.

She cried as she washed herself. The water turning red with blood as her scrubbing opened the wound up again. Once she was done, she got out and went to her bathroom cabinet to grab one of her really old towels to dry the bleeding back and press against it while she got it patched up.

Once she was done wrapping her wound up, she dried her body and got dressed. She put on some simple jeans and a long sleeve dark grey shirt with a black and grey stripped short sleeve shirt. She pulled her hair into a ponytail and went to her kitchen to make something to eat for breakfast and think about what she should do about this.

She got a bowl out when her phone rang, making her jump. She grabbed her phone and relaxed seeing it was someone she knew. "Hey Mari." She greeted. "Hey Emmy. I'm so sorry to do this to you. But can you watch Seth and Lori?" Single mom Mari asked.

Ember sighed. "Yeah. I can do it. If you just want to drop them off. They can hang out here." She told them. Mari was the daughter of her one boss. And so, when she baby sat the kids, her boss paid her more. But that wasn't why she did it.

Mari was a kind woman. She fell in love easily but would be left in heart break. Ember always felt bad for her. She only wanted love and was dumped for it. Now she was left with kids. One was a toddler. She also had a teenager. He was seventeen. And the middle child was eleven.

Ember watched the eleven-year-old and the toddler until the oldest was done school and work. The eleven-year-old did school on a laptop. Ember didn't mind. They were all good kids.

Getting things ready, and the toys out, Ember got ready for the two to get there. Her back throbbed with pain. She took some Ibuprofen to try and help ease her pain. She just wanted some relief.

Hearing the doorbell, Ember answered the door.

She smiled brightly seeing Mari, Daisy, and Marcus. Ember took baby Marcus from his mother, his dark skin clashing with her pale skin. "Thank you so much Ember. I hate doing this to you." Mari said sheepishly as she brought the diaper bag in.

"It isn't a problem, Mari. I need to be distracted from my thoughts anyway." She told the single mother. Mari gave her a sad sympathetic look. One that Ember didn't want to have given to her. "Understandable. You know you can come stay at the house." Mari offered. Ember shook her head no.

"No. It's ok. I'm ok." She promised with a small smile. She couldn't even if she wanted to, she couldn't. She would put them in danger. Who knew what that murderous bastard would do to Mari or her children.

Ember didn't want to think about it.

Ember held onto Marcus as she was helping Daisy. Marcus was interracial while Daisy was white. But the older siblings loved Marcus dearly. It was hard not to. He was absolutely adorable and loving.

There was the ring of her phone, and since she was busy with Daisy and keeping Marcus from hitting the wound on her back while holding him, Ember didn't look at the name on her phone, but answered it without looking, putting it on speaker. "Hello?" She answered.

"Hello pet." Ember's blood went cold, and she quickly hung up. Daisy looked at her confused. Ember forced a smile. "Wrong number sweetie." She said as her phone rang again.

Fearing it was HIM again, she went and put Marcus into his highchair. "Daisy? Can you feed your brother his lunch while I take this, please?" She asked the girl. Daisy nodded and went to get the food from the kitchen.

She moved to the balcony but made sure to be able to see the kids, she trusted Daisy with the baby, but still wanted to make sure nothing happened. She took a deep breath and answered the phone. "Hello?" She hated how shakey her voice was.

"Don't ever hang up on me again." He was pissed. She knew it by his tone. "I didn't want anyone to hear you." She tried to explain. "Their adorable. You're really good with them." She tensed up and looked around.

She didn't see him, but knew he had either seen Mari arrive with them, or he was watching them all right now someway. She gulped nervously.

"Where are you?" She asked breathlessly. He answered with a deep chuckle. "How's your back? Did you put more anti bacteria on it?" He asked her. "It hurts like a bitch. You had no right to do that to me." She seethed at him.

He chuckled again.

"Now you will forever know that you are mine." He told her. She shook her head. "I'm not yours. I never will be. I will kill you one day." She told him. "Do you really want to threaten me? I hold your life, and others in my hands." He warned her.

"Then kill me... After the kids go home. Kill me. Go ahead." She told him. "I won't kill you pet. I want to own you. You belong to me. And soon you will accept it. Love it. Beg for it." He taunted. She shook her head and hung up her phone and went back inside.

Ember waved at the kids as the eldest let them inside their home. "Thanks Em. You're a life saver." The eldest sibling, Lucas told her before letting her leave.

Going to her car, she got in, and took deep breaths. Rubbing her face and taking deep breaths, she needed to get her mind together. Nodding once to herself, she drove back home. Terrified on if he was going to come back tonight and actual rape her this time.

She was terrified.
