Iy was the middle of the night, yet while Constantine and Matt were asleep Deadly was wide-awake feeling like heneeded some air after being inside too long needing to go outside, besides long-lost dragon instincts were beginning to reawaken inside especially the instinct of flight which bothered Deadly, his kind of dragon didn't have wings but he guessed he could try taking off into the night skies, lit up only by the moon.
"I can't believe I'm doing this, it's amazing but feels so good!" he said after feeling a manical laugh bubbling up inside begging to be let out which rang out through the night being answered by another, yet youngersounding one seeing a blue-furred dragon youngster with short light-blue hair dressed like a little phantom with mischief and delight in her purple-pupilled eyes.
"Are you some kind of fan of mine little one?" he asked her after they landed.
"Sorry, bonjour uncle, jemmeaplle Dreadly, your niece." she said.
"How do I know you're telling the truth, not making this up?" Deadly said.
The dragon-girl handed him an envelope which was for him, reading the letter, realising shewas telling the truth sighing as he wasn't used to kids like with humans hoping Matt would not mind as they flew back which made him more nervous, hoping there weren't any more surprises.
Deadly felt exhausted that later morning just wanting to lie in or on his bed for a while hearing laughter from downstairs deciding to let Constantine or Matt handle it until he was in a fit state feeling his whole body exhausted, including his longer tail which was curled around his dragon toes zoning-out until he heard the attic door open and somebody saying his namewhich was annoying him growling which impressed Matt, guessing Deadly was not a morning-dragon.
"Sorry Deadly, I was justseeing if you wanted to join us for breakfast, your niece's showing usher magic." he said making Deadlysit up putting on his cardigan andgoing downstairs seeing Dreadly there, levitating condimentsto the table from thefridge which Deadly was impressed by seeing her smirk.
"Somebody's awake, eh?" Dreadly said drinkijg coffee.
"Yes and I'm not mentally awake butalready anxious." he replied.
"You joke, phantoms and dragons don't get scared." Dreadly replied.
Constantine noticed thesign of anxiety in Deadly's eyes guessing like Matt, Dreadly being new made his heart pound, his hands shake and wanting to go to his attic to relax, until this panic attack went away seeing him go upstairs, then up the ladder to hisattic slammingthe door curling up into a ball shaking likealeaf, u til he feltsleepy lying down on his bed.
"She's just a little phantom, but she'll learn we do get scared, thrown in the deep end having to livewith a human, or discovering you havean niece." he said falling asleep.
