Guest (Both of them) - I thought I had the Watcher confirmed it a while back, but it turns out that I wrote it to be explained later, sorry. But to sum up most of it: No Reverse Flash, no death of Nora Allen, Barry not raised by Joe, but is still kept in the friend zone by Iris. More on that will be up later in the story.
"These super powered individuals are finally able to work together as a team, but they've got a long way to go in order to become the heroes that this city needs. And they've got a lot of other problems that are on the horizon. Not to mention that there are some things, no matter how powerful you are, you can't always fight."
Susan was sitting in the middle of May Parker's living room where Franklin and Valeria Richards were going to be spending their days, until Sue finally gets them enrolled in the school district.
"Thanks for helping us with this, Ms. Parker." Sue said as May came back with coffee for them.
"Oh, please, I love having these guys around. It's nice." May promises her. "Honestly, walking around in this empty house has been getting lonely since Peter left."
Sue smiled and was happy she was willing to help out.
"I know it's hard to let them go after what happened with your husband. But I know Peter will do his best to help." May said with a coy smile, which surprised Sue.
"Wait...do you know?" Sue asked her, unsure if she should ask this.
"Please, Peter's not very subtle about his second job." May commented with a laugh. "I know he's Spider-Man. And he's aware I know."
"Huh." Sue commented, not sure what to say about that. "Did he tell you about us?"
"Don't worry. I'll keep you guys a secret." May promised them.
"Oh, that's not what I was worried about, it was just if you knew." Sue says.
Yuri was having the strange suspicion that she was going to have to get used to crime scenes like this. Bodies everywhere, all of them murdered, and not an explanation in sight.
"Allen. What can you tell us?" Joe asked Barry who was looking over the corps'.
"Signs point to some type of histotoxic hypoxia." Barry tells the two. "The cells in their bodies were unable to utilize oxygen. It's consistent with exposure to poison gas."
"What type of poison?" Yuri wondered.
"I'll have to take a lung sample to narrow it down." Barry tells them.
"Witnesses say the streets were empty, so it had to be done from the inside." Yuri stated.
"So if it was gas, shouldn't there be a container or something?" Joe asked as he looked around. "The gas couldn't come in by itself."
Yuri then became afraid as he suddenly realized how. "Unless it had a mind of its own." She mumbled and knew she needed backup on this one.
"Fascinating." Harrison said after Peter got off the phone with Yuri and informed them they might have another powered criminal on the loose. "A metahuman with the ability to manipulate poison gas."
"Is it just poisonous gas, or can he control all aerated substances?" Cisco asked as he ran into the room.
"And how is he able to formulate the connection?" Caitlin asked. "Is it physiological or psychological?"
"Or is he not controlling or transforming into the gas itself?" Tess asked them.
"This individual can create a mental nexus using gaseous substances." Harrison understood what Tess was saying.
"You mean his cells becoming the gases on a molecular level?" Cisco understood. "That is ridiculously cool."
"You guys need to get laid more." Johnny sighed in sadness at what was presented in front of him.
"In order to learn more, we need to get a fresh sample of his DNA." Harrison informed them.
"You know, if we're going to keep up this whole catching enemies, we might need another prison." Jennifer informed them with what they've been going through.
Peter thought for a second and came with a sigh. "I might have an idea."
"What?" Sue asked. "You've got a spider prison somewhere?"
"No, my villains usually go to the RAFT...but there is someone I know who has access to infinite prisons around the word." Peter informed them as he rubbed his head. "I just don't like the idea of owing this guy any favors."
"Why? Who is it?" Cisco wonders.
Peter groaned and grabbed his head at the thought of the man. "Someone I'm gonna have to owe for this."
Then their crime alert went off, and they saw that someone discovered a body in the elevator at the mall due to a gas attack.
"We need to go." Peter told the team.
The team made their way as fast as they could, and there were already mall security blocking the scene. Luckily they weren't expecting the Invisible Girl as she sneaked past and got a look to see the woman's already dead.
Sue looked around and saw only normal people in the crowd when she then looked and saw gas trying to escaped down a corner stairway.
"Guys, stairway." Sue whispered.
"On it." Johnny said as he was already in the stairway and blocked off his escape. "Hi." He then shot a fireball at their metahuman, which was immediately stopped by the fact that he turned into gas, dodged the fireball, and then reformed himself. "Okay, wasn't expecting that." He then gave up on burning him and went to punch him but missed and went into his lungs.
Johnny began to choke on the man as he entered his lungs, until he then flamed on, and the man was pushed out of Johnny and sent flying backwards.
He was reforming back into his human form when Jennifer came in and punched him in the face, knocking him out cold.
"I honestly expected this to be much harder." Jennifer commented with a proud tone of voice.
They later got him contained in an air proof container in STAR Labs.
"Looks like we've got a name to his face now." Harrison said as he pulled up his face. "Your mystery man is Kyle Nimbus."
"A hit man for the Darwinian Crime Family." Tess commented on his file. "Seems they turned and testified against him in court. Explains why he targeted them. And the woman who he murdered was Judge Theresa Howard at his trial. Sentenced to death."
"He must've been affected when he was being sentenced." Cisco guesses.
"Wait, hydrogen cyanide is flammable." Peter suddenly realized. "That's why when Johnny scorched up
"So what exactly are we supposed to do with our Man of Mist?" Ben asked them.
"Ooh, Mist!" Cisco said as he looked over to Ben. "That's his name."
Sue was the only one silent and was standing in the corner of the room when Peter walked over to her.
"You okay?" Peter asked her.
"That woman died because we couldn't save her." Sue whispered to him.
Peter sighed and knew he had to have this talk with someone eventually. "Yeah, I know how that feels." He said as he sighed and leaned against the wall. "Not being able to wake up and go out there every day and know that everyone's going to go asleep the following night because you're there. It took me a while before I learned for every one person I can save, there's gonna be someone who I can't. And in the end of the day, that's what I'm trying to warn you guys about being heroes. That feeling that you're felling, I know that it could keep you up at night knowing you can't do anything, but you wish you could've done more...or the guilt that it brings when you make a mistake..." he then looked down and began to tear up a little, confusing Sue. "There are some things we can't fight. We can only live with them, and make sure we don't do the same thing twice."
"You know this from experience?" Sue asked.
"Yeah." Peter confirmed with a sigh.
They then heard something beep and looked over to the cameras and saw someone standing outside their door with an army of armed men.
"Uh, should we be worried?" Cisco asked when Peter noticed the man leading the men.
"Nope, that's my guy." Peter said as he saw the man with the eye patch.
They all made their way to the doorway and Peter was the first to walk out and walk over to the goatee black man with this really huge coat that was blowing in the wind.
"Parker. I was surprised when I got your call." He said to Peter as they approached, neither of them showing much emotion.
"Yeah, well, as much as I hate to admit it, this city needs your help." Peter admitted with a sigh. "You're looking good, you really don't age, do you, Fury?"
"Nick Fury, Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. In this world, Peter Parker started his career as a hero with the help of the Supreme Headquarters International Espionage Law-Enforcement Division. This was mostly due to Fury discovering his secret identity while keeping an eye on the Parker family."
"You said you discovered a powered individual?" Fury asked him.
"Inside. Ability to turn himself into poison gas." Peter informed him as he looked into the labs.
Fury raised his hand and gestured for some of his men to enter the labs and they went to secure the threat. "We'll get him transported to somewhere more secure than the RAFT."
"Thanks. And we might need access to one of your bases in the city in case we come across more of them." Peter warned him.
"And what makes you think that I have a base in the city?" Fury asked with a brow raised.
"Because I know you, Fury." Peter stated with a coy smile.
Fury looked at Peter and sighed as he also thought there'd be more than just this poison man and Multiplex. Don't ask how he knows his name.
"We'll send an Agent undercover to help you out and we'll come every other week in order to pick them up." Fury promised him as his men exited with the container floating off the ground and leading it to the jet.
"So...where you taking him?" Cisco asked curiously.
"If he told you, he'd have to kill you." Maria Hill warned him.
Cisco let out a laugh, expecting it to be a joke, but then saw they were both serious. "Wait, are you serious?"
"I'm always serious." Nick stated seriously. "I'll be seeing you around, Parker. Remember...I've got my eye on you."
Johnny raised a finger and was about to say something stupid when Sue elbowed him, stopping him for mocking him and his eye.
"Another thing...Danton Black." Nick told Peter, confusing him why he's bringing up Multiplex. "His transport was attacked last night. Never made it to the RAFT."
"What?" Peter asked in shock.
"We're keeping it under wraps the best we can, the idea of a man who can multiply and have infinite alibies not fitting well with others." Nick stated why they never learned about it. "But he had outside help."
"From who?" Peter questioned, not sure who would want to help Danton Black escape police custody.
"It turns out, it was a familiar face who decided to kidnap Danton Black before the transport reached their destination."
Danton Black groaned as he began to wake up and began to look around when he noticed he was in a giant container in a dark empty room.
"What the hell is this place?" Danton asked as he got up and looked around.
"Some place that you'll be calling home for some time, child." A familiar voice said and the man walked out into the light to reveal Reed Richards, except now his head was starting to look like Jimmy Neutron if he combed it backwards. "And you will soon...meet. Your. Maker."
"Reed Richards was looking for revenge, and what better way than to find a way to take away the family that Sue Storm have built for herself? Danton Black has just became the first member of Reed Richards' Children of Tomorrow."
Peter had just gotten back home and Sue went to go grab her kids when he looked and noticed that the lights to his house were already on. Working fast, he went inside and was expecting to see Reed Richards, some other villian like the Sinister Six who learned his identity, but it wasn't any of them.
"Great to see you, cus." A blonde hair woman greeted him with a burger from Big Belly Burger in her hands. "Seems you were expecting someone else?"
"Sharon." Peter sighed in relief. "Don't break into my place like that."
"You do know that I know where you keep the second key, right?" Sharon informed him.
"Yeah, I've gotta have that moved." Peter muttered as he walked over and gave Sharon a hug. "Let me guess, you're the Agent Fury sent over?"
"Yeah, he thought it'd be best to have a face you trusted in the city." Sharon informed him.
"Great. He's learning. Took him ten years." Peter joked as Sharon laughed at that. "So, where are you staying?"
"Fury got me a place, a small apartment big enough for me." Sharon said and showed photos of the place to her. "I'm gonna be doubling at the CCPD. Part time CSI so if any weird cases come up I can get what we need."
"Great. We have a woman there, Yuriko Watanabe, if you need help tell her Spider-Man sent you." Peter said as they both sat down.
"Great. I can't stay long though, gotta go unpack." Sharon warned him.
"Oh, yeah, sure, we'll catch up in the morning." Peter promised her and Carter made her way home.
Back at STAR Labs, Cisco was working on upgrading their uniforms and Caitlin walked passed in confusion.
"Why do they say FF on them?" Caitlin asked as she looked over the uniforms that now have a F overlapping another F on the chests of the main heroes, except for the Thing who had it on his belt, and She-Hulk who's outfit was just redesigned to have a white outline.
"For Fantastic Five." Cisco explained as he then went over to the several different designs he's been working on for Spider-Man's new look. "Now, for Peter's suit."
Caitlin just gave up and walked away. "It's too late to deal with this."
"In this universe, Peter Parker's family tree is aligned with those of the Carter's. The great hero known as Captain America did indeed exist in this reality, but instead of being frozen, he lived the rest of his days in retirement after World War Two, later on resulting in the birth of Mary Fitzpatrick and Rachel Carter, and later Mary would go on to marry Richard Parker. Making Sharon Carter and Peter Parker of this reality the only family they have being each other and Maybelle Parker."

Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill
Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter
