Back downstairs, Peter was told he needed to start clearing out all of Hank's stuff for Janet. While cleaning the stuff, he heard the shuffling from the closet. He became cautious and sneaked to the closet, just for the HERBIE robot to come out.
"HERBIE?" Peter was shocked to see him.
"Yes?" HERBIE asks. "Are you who I am built for?"
Peter chuckled, surprised that Hank was able to finish the bot before his death. "It's complicated." He sighed and held his hand out for his claw hand. "Come with me."
While the team was at the labs, trying to figure out how Reed has started to mind control these powerful characters, Caitlin and Barry were just finishing their lunch date and were wandering around the city.
"So, what is it you do now with STAR Labs gone?" Barry wonders.
"I work... part-time at Mercury Labs, you could say." Caitlin supposed was a true enough lie.
As they were talking, there was bubbling in the water they were walking nearby (That scene where Iris discovered Barry's the Flash before he went back in time to stop the tsunami is where they are). Then a blast erupted, sending a giant beam of water into the air that shot out a figure from the oceans.
Everyone jumped and began to run away from the water and Caitlin wondered what was happening when the figure landed just ahead of them, in the middle of the streets.
He was a tall man with a big build, only wearing skintight green trunks, and wings on his feet. Yes, there are wings on his feet. Tiny ones, like what you'd see on a baby bird or something.
Sad to say this isn't the weirdest thing to happen.
As the police started to show up, Caitlin started to contact the team and let them know something is going on.
"Identify yourself!" The officers demanded as they came and aimed their weapons at the man.
"I am Namor! Ruler of the Kingdom of Atlantis!" The man introduced himself as he stomped and marched down the street. "I am from the world beneath the sea that lies just outside your window."
That's when the heroes came in, Peter being the first and landing on the roof of the police cars. Susan used a forcefield to shield herself while Johnny moved her around. Ben and Jennifer came smashing into the ground and were ready to go.
"We have endured your pollution for centuries, but we shall suffer it no longer!" Namor stated as his wings started to lift him off hate ground.
"Well, this guy doesn't obey the laws of physics at all," Peter commented as he watched Namorfly up.
"So...do we beat this guy up?" Jennifer asked Peter.
"Yeah, I guess." Peter shrugged, seeing this guy is basically declaring war. And is possibly insane.
"You heard the man!" Johnny stated as he ran ahead and torched up. "Flame on!" He then blasted into the air to get Namor on the ground.
"What's this?" Namor asked as he dodged Johnny's attempt to ram into him. "A fiery man child?"
"Hey, who are you calling a man-child?" Johnny asked in anger.
"Well, it is a good description of you," Peter commented as he ran in and shot webbing to tangle Namor up, causing his wings to stop working and slam him into the street.
"You think your pathetic ropes can stop Namor?" Namor asked.
"Uh...yes?" Peter asked as he missed the whales coming up from the ocean.
"Denizens of the depths! Cool him off!" Namor demanded as the whales sent blasts of water that splashed into Johnny, cooling his flame down.
"Did...Torch gets taken down by whales?" Jennifer asked, clarifying if she saw what she just saw.
"I believe so." Peter was sorry to confirm.
Namor then broke free of the webbing when Ben came down to them.
"Hey! It's clobbering time!" Ben cried as he came in and punched him, sending Namor flying into the air.
But it seems Namor can take more than that as he came flying and punched Ben back, flying into the wall.
"Not bad, big guy." Jennifer complimented as she came out and went for her strike. "And I was thinking you might just be another pretty prince." She then turned to her friend. "Invisible, get ready!"
"On it!" Sue promised as she created a forcefield behind Namor so that when Jennifer went in to punch him, Namor was slammed into the wall.
That's exactly what happened, until Namor jumped out of the way, using his wings to grab Jennifer and fly into the air, tossing her onto the street.
Susan and Peter were the last two standing and Susan used her forcefields to shield Peter from his attacks, allowing Peter to get a hit in on Namor. But Namor then grabbed Peter by the neck during his second attack and tossed him through a window.
Susan saw she was the last one left and was going invisible, but was too late as Namor grabbed her arm and stared into her eyes. Susan was a bit uncomfortable when she saw how amazed he was just for looking at her.
"What beauty." Namor complimented, causing Susan to groan and create a forcefield to then shove Namor back into the ocean.
"What a pain," Susan replied.
The rest of the team started to come back together after getting their butts handed after their encounter with the merman.
"Nice one, Susie." Ben complimented.
"Who was that guy?" Yuri asked.
"Said his name was Namor, didn't you hear?" Johnny asked.
"Sirens were blaring a little loud," Yuri admitted.
"Ruler of Atlantis," Peter commented. "Is that even a thing?"
"After everything that went down, are we really going to rule out Atlantis as a possibility for existence?" Susan asks him. "The weird thing is...I think he likes me."
"Great, a day after being back, you're already being hit on by a merman." Peter joked.
Susan rolled her eyes and smiled at his attempt of joking. "We need to head back to base. Figure out what our next move is."
When they made it back home, they saw HERBIE was getting a look around his new environment with Cisco trying to cool him down.
"Hey, hey, that's not a toy!" Cisco cried out as he grabbed the tesseract. "I actually don't know what the hell this is."
"Cisco! Language!" Bette called out as she was with the kids.
"Sorry!" Cisco replied.
Peter sighed and walked around the labs. "We need to find this guy. Cisco, get the gear ready to scan for any signs of life in the ocean."
"What about...him?" Bette asked as she looked over to HERBIE, who knocked over some pots in the kitchen.
"He should be fine." Peter shrugged. "Hank made him to be some sort of robot babysitter."
"So, he can watch the kids while we're gone?" Susan asks.
Then there was another crash as HERBIE flew up and away from the crash. "I'm sorry!"
"We might want an adult supervisor to be safe," Peter admitted, feeling the kids might be safe with him around, but the whole apartment might be different.
