Throw-Away9261 - The whole thing with the time gap was a bit too long, so I just had it happen after a week. Caitlin was able to move on fast thanks to the 5 people that needed her expertise. And Peter knows that Ronnie died a hero. Nobody murdered him. He chose the city over his own life. That was something that he couldn't be angry about. Sad, but not angry. But everyone else...that was all on Reed. He had someone to blame. He has someone to bring to justice.

Susan was currently stuck at a table with Namor, trying to win her over with some food available only in Atlantis. As she kept turning down all he had to offer, she had to wonder how long it would take for her family to find her.

"This is an unseemly display, your highness." Lady Domora commented in disgust. "This surface woman is no suitable companion for the ruler of the seas. It is your responsibility to your people to choose a consort more in keeping with the dignity of your family and office. In short, one of your own kind."

"Let me guess. You?" Namor asked her before walking off.

Back in Mercury Labs, Peter got the fastest submarine that the branch can offer. Cisco managed to take all night to find where the tracker was.

Hey, he said he had a rocker. He didn't say that it was a good tracker.

"Okay, great." Peter sighed in relief. "I have three suits, a sub, and several air tanks ready to go."

"Why three if there are only two of you going?" Johnny asked him.

"You forget Susan on the way back?" Peter reminded him. "Any help with finding Ben?"

"He didn't exactly bring his phone with him," Caitlin informed him.

"Right," Peter remembered the guy can't even use phones anymore due to his skin. "Okay, Bette, the two of us are going to go get Susan, and free her from the clutches of that merman."

"A sentence I never thought I'd hear in my life," Bette commented. "You're lucky I served in the military."

"Kinda why I picked you," Peter admitted to her as he took his suit and put it in a bag. "And also your powers to spontaneously combust anything."

"Please tell me you're not planning on going to war with Atlantis." Cisco pleaded with him. "I've seen The Day After Tomorrow, and I don't wanna see a remake of it."

"Relax. I'm just going to go in and save Sue." Peter said as the two of them made their way into the elevator. "But to be safe, be ready for a battle."

"No pressure." Johnny sighed as the doors closed.

Back in Atlantis, Krang was currently planning his invasion of the surface world for his king. While he was planning out the attack, Lady Domora came strolling in and saw his work.

"It would appear that we have a problem," Domora tells Krang.

"And what problem would that be?" Krang asks Domora.

"Our king has become stricken by that pale land creature. He has become weak and soft." Domora informed Krang. "Unworthy. We need to act now, attack the surface, or we might just lose our beloved king."

"You want me to go above my king and attack the surface world?" Krang asks her.

"I want you to save him by conquering the surface," Domora responded.

Krang looked at his plans and saw it was finalized, the only thing left was the confirmation from the king. But if what she says is true, and even he saw it, there was nobody to confirm. It was time to conquer the surface.

Back outside of Mercury Labs, Ripley Ryan was flying towards the building whilst charging up an energy blast like she did to destroy STAR Labs. Meanwhile, inside the labs, Caitlin got her resulted gas' back to test on freeing Flash from Reed's control.

"Okay. Three samples." Caitlin said as she took the three vials and walked towards Flash. "Let's see which one of these works."

"You sure this will work?" Jennifer asked, getting ready to change into her Hulk form if needed.

"I hope so. Otherwise, we have nothing to stop Reed." Caitlin said and was ready to release the gas into his chamber.

But as she was getting ready, Karolina was playing and keeping the kids busy when a shadow came over the windows. Looking up to where it came from, she noticed there was a woman with a cape flying down towards them.

"Look out!" Karolyn cried as she grabbed the kids and created a forcefield to protect the kids.

That was when Ryan came flying in, she smashed the glass and flew over towards Flash. When she made it over to him, she unleashed a giant blast of energy to smash his cell.

"The Maker sends his regards," Ryan tells Flash.

"About damn time," Flash said as he raised his fists and head, the Symbiote forming around him.

With the deflation of the Symbiote after their last encounter, not all of it was able to heal. This meant that instead of coming back as its hulking form, it needed to adapt and change.

Now, it showed a similar form to Flash's but with a more muscular and bulking build. He has a more armored tone with the Symbiote jagged edges on the eyes. His symbol on his chest was now thinner compared to the original.

Caitlin was being shielded by Jennifer when the glass shattered, and they all saw there was a danger. "Uh...Cait..."

Caitlin then didn't even go for professionalism and tossed the first formula, needing to see which worked. When it hits the ground, the two of them stood there and the gas did nothing to them.

"Was that supposed to do something?" Ryan asked as she flew at them, only to be tackled by Johnny.

Johnny flamed on and tackled the villain who crashed their home and slammed her into the wall. "Tell Reed Johnny Storm sends his regards!"

"You can tell him yourself," Ryan assured him as she flew off the wall and the two made their way around the room.

"Get the kids out of here!" Jennifer called out to Cisco, who was already getting them together.

"Come on, kids, we need to go," Cisco said, trying to get them to the safe room installed for such an occasion.

Flash raised his hands and his fists revealed to have guns on them and opened fire. Jennifer acted fast, getting in front of Caitlin and taking the bullets with her skin. The bullets all bounced off of her as she ran in and punched Flash into the wall.

"Caitlin!" Jennifer called out to her friend.

Caitlin tossed a secondary vial to Jennifer, who crushed the vial in her hands near his face. Flash was grunting, trying to free himself from the wall when the gas caused him to cough. They watched as if he was starting to fight back against the mind control, but it didn't take long for him to turn back.

When he did, Flash was able to grab onto Jennifer and wrap a tentacle around her. Once he got a hold of her, he then smashed her into the ceiling before throwing her to the ground, sending her down a few stories.

While that fight was going on, Ryan and Johnny were still fighting one another. Johnny held onto Ryan as hard as he could until she forced him off. With that, she took off through the skies to get away.

Johnny flew around and was trying his best to keep up with her. With Ryan picking up on speed, it was becoming increasingly difficult for him to keep up with her.

"Man, she's fast." Johnny had to admit as he did his best to keep up with her.

As they flew around the whole city and took off over the ocean, Johnny didn't realize he was walking (flying) into her trap. Reed doesn't think he's the smartest man alive for nothing. Even though he was thinking that the whole team would be there, she could settle for the one.

Finally, Johnny thought he was picking up speed on the girl. But in reality, she was slowing down to let him catch up. Once close enough, she turned around and grabbed Johnny from the neck.

"Can we talk about this?" Johnny asked her.

But she wasn't listening. Due to her mind still being corrupted by Reed. She then flew into the water, starting to drown the hero in the ocean.

In the building, Flash grabbed Caitlin at the neck, not allowing her to open the last canister on him. This gave him the chance at trying to kill her, cutting off her air supply. But as Jennifer was trying to claw her way back up, trying to get past the people who had no idea what she was doing, someone else came to her aid.

Katherine Power came in and used her powers to blast Flash off and send him flying, also injuring the Symbiote in the process. Not to mention dropping Caitlin, allowing her to grasp for air and reach for the canister.

"Get away from her!" Katherine cried as Karolina also came over and powered up.

"You two could join us," Flash informed them, the Symbiote healing and coming back over him. "Become part of a new era. Rule the world alongside us."

"I saw Star Wars too, dummy, it didn't work for Luke Skywalker, either!" Katherine informed the man, powering up another energy blast.

"Suit yourselves," Flash said and raised his fists, ready to start shooting.

But then a hissing sound catches their attention as they look down and see Caitlin was holding the last of the canisters. Releasing the final sample of the cure, the mist reaches Flash's face, and he starts to breathe it in.

As they watch, the mist starts to clear Flash's mind, releasing him from Reed's control. He starts to groan as the side effect of the mist seems to be a massive headache. He groans as he dropped down to his knee and placed a hand on it while the other is on his head.

"Oh, god...What happened?" Flash asked.

Jennifer then came back up through the floor and saw that the fight was over. "So, I missed the ending?"

"Wait, where's Johnny?" Caitlin asked.

As they asked, Ryan came back and punched Jennifer before she could even react. Flying faster than they could fight back, Katherine missed with her blast and was tossed across the room. Karolina took a shot at trying to stop her but was only tossed into the ceiling before she could power up a charge.

With the heroes out of the way, Ryan made her way over and ripped off the doors to the safe room. Looking down, she eyed the two she was after as Cisco tried to run in with a punch. But it was easy for Ryan to catch and toss him away.

Looking at Franklin as he held his sister, he started to tremble in fear of what was yet to come.

Out in the city with Ben, he was trying to get a sense of normalcy in his life. Trying to get out of the building, he was going to a bar to try and socialize again.

Going up to the bar, and sitting on a bar stool was an instant mistake. The bar crushed under his weight, getting the whole bar to laugh.

Getting back up, that got the room silent. "That's not funny."

"Hey, this is Ben Grimm. He's a friend here and a hero to the city, pay him some respect." The bartender tells the bar.

Ben was the only one who wasn't interested in keeping his identity a secret as he needed to get used to living life as a stone.

"Just give me anything you've got. I've had a day." Ben sighed as he stood at the bar. "Actually, double it."

"Triple." A lady at one of the tables near the bar said. "Put it on my tab, Bernie."

"You got it, Alicia." Bernie the bartender said.

Ben looked over at her, noticing with her eyes looking straight, and the stick beside her, that she must be blind.

"Appreciate it," Ben tells her.

"No problem," Alicia tells him.

Ben then took the drink and went to take it. But then the moment he picked up the glass, it shattered. Clenching the rest of the glass in anger, Ben would give anything to feel the glass at this point.

"It's okay, we'll take care of it," Bernie assured him.

"If there's a a god, he hates me," Ben stated, looking up to the sky.

"She," Alicia said, getting Ben's attention back on her, "is not so into hate."

"If you could see me, you wouldn't be saying that," Ben promised her.

"Then let me see you. Can I?" Alicia asked as she got up.

Ben sighed and decided to let her do it as she crossed the room. Using her stick to cross the bar, she placed a hand on Ben's chest, feeling the rock formation on him. Reaching upward to his face, she wasn't so scared as she was amazed.

"So sad," Alicia said not much of a comment as it was a notice. "You know, being different isn't always a bad thing."

Ben sighed, knowing she was trying to help. "It doesn't really feel like it most of the time."

"Well, as they said, you're a hero," Alicia commented. "Alright, Bernie, I'm out of here."

"I'll take you home." Bernie offered, his shift ending.

Alicia then patted Ben on his cheek and walked off. "See you, Bennie." Ben then watched as she walked away. "I'm Alicia Masters, by the way."

Ben smiled, seeing that she was expecting him to remember that. Maybe it would be something worth remembering in the future.

Back with Susan and Namor, she was stuck trying to find a way to escape his grasp. But she was seeing no way out until her friends came with a rescue attempt, meaning she needed to be patient.

"Your people are destroying our world," Namor informs Susan

She listened as he projected some hologram that showed her the pollution of the oceans. Showing off a few ships being sunk, oil spills, and garbage filling the oceans.

"For a century, your people have polluted our waters and poisoned our children. And now, the skies burn as the oceans boil." Namor went on as Susan watched whale hunters kill whales, and capture dolphins. "And yet you believe that these people are not to blame? That I should not wage war, and you believe I should do nothing? You take their side?"

"There are no sides in a war like this," Susan informed him. "All of humanity is not to be blamed. Many of us are aware and are trying to stop the contamination."

"It's too little, too late," Namor informed her.

"Perhaps." Susan had to admit the damage was a long time coming. "But perhaps there is a way that you can help us. Instead of fighting us, you work with us. We can learn from one another."

Namor rolled his eyes and sighed, looking out into the ocean. "There is much I can track you. You alone."

Susa was angered by this when Namor grabbed her and kissed her hand. This only got her more dismissed by the man as it seems he wants this war, and there was no stopping him.

Just outside of Atlantis, Bette and Peter were coming up on the location Cisco's tracker led them to. When they found it, they were shocked when they found out Atlantis was a city carved into the ocean.

"Okay, we're closing in," Peter said as the submarine was set to auto pilot. "Time to suit up."

Bette was already one step ahead of him and was ready for a dive. "Point of entry?"

Peter zoomed in using the systems on the sub and found a hole they could enter. This was the same way that Namor took Susan in, but that was just luck.

Taking their dive out into the open ocean, they made their way through the ocean. You feel like there would be a lot of guards to protect their king.

Once the two made it inside, they took off the scuba gear and started to look around. The throne room was filled with glass and sea life that they have either seen or never seen before.

"Wow. This guy seriously loves the sea." Bette commented as she looked around. "I mean, I get it, but..."

Peter was going to respond when his senses went off and saw the guards' approach. Due to the king asking them to empty the dome, the men we left wearing giant armor filled with water. "Freeze!"

"Where the heck were you guys five minutes ago?" Peter asked them. "I mean, we strolled in here like it was nothing."

"Unless they figured nobody would be stupid enough to try and do it," Bette commented, grabbing a few pebbles from the plants.

"Well, they haven't met us," Peter said with a proud smile. "So, anyone here gonna tell us where we can find the kidnapped woman? About yay tall, long blonde hair, being held captive against her will?"

The men just aimed their guns and fired, revealing to be some water-powered laser cannons. Dodging the attacks, Bette replied by tossing the pebbles she touched. This caused the pebbles to become small explosives, blinding the guards and giving Peter the advantage.

When the bombs went off, Peter went in and punched one in the glass dome, shattering it. Once his 'air' was cut off, Peter wasted no time tossing him back into the hole they entered from. When the smoke cleared, two of them were left as Peter shot his webbing at his face.

While they were blinded by the webbing, Peter spun and tripped one over. While that one was down, Peter leaped and wrapped his legs around the other one. Pulling him to the ground, Peter took his gun and smacked the glass. With them both taken down, he tossed them back into the same hole.

"I fought mermen," Peter commented, unsure how to take that. He then looked at Bette and asked a serious question. "1 to 10, how weird was that? Ten being the weirdest."

"Eleven," Bette answered as she grabbed a few more pebbles for an emergency. "Let's go find Sue."

Back with Susan, she heard the explosions and knew that her friends were there.

"They've come for me!" Susan was happy to hear.

"Impossible," Namor said in shock.

"I prefer the adjective sensational," Peter said, getting them to look and see he's standing in the halls. "Other adjectives are amazing, spectacular, and fish kicker."

"Fish kicker?" Namor and Susan asked.

"I don't know." Peter shrugged, having no idea what to say. "I never had to us any quips against mermen."

"That's fair." Susan shrugged.

"You are intruding in my kingdom!" Namor informed him, ready to fight.

"Buddy, you kidnapped an innocent woman from my kingdom," Peter informed him. "So, I say we're square."

But before they could start to fight one another, a group of Namor's men came in and aimed their guns. Peter was about to ask where Bette was when she was tossed towards her.

"Bette!" Peter cried as he ran over to see if she was okay, just knocked out.

"What are you doing?" Namor asked, realizing that his men were also aiming at him. "Stand down, now!"

"I'm afraid we can't, King Namor." One of his men said. "You have been charged with treason."

"Treason?" Namor asked in shock.

"Yes," Domora confirmed as she came out of the crowd with a smile. "General Krang has taken every available warrior to complete your attack."

"I authorized no attack," Namor replies.

"General Krang is completing the mission you set out before becoming smitten by this surface dweller." Domora snarled, looking directly at Susan.

"What?" Bette asked, starting to wake up.

"Don't ask, it was this whole bit," Susan commented, not wanting to relive it.

"I think we might've started a Civil War with Atlantis," Peter said, thinking things have gotten worse.

Domora then made her out while the men aimed their weapons.

Namor then looked at Susan and sighed. "You must go. You do not belong here. Go to the man you love."

"That's sweet, but..." Susan said, looking at the men. "Feel it's a bit too late."

"Maybe not," Bette said as she took off her glove and grabbed onto the glass. "Hang onto something!"

Peter ran over and grabbed Sue as she created a forcefield. The glass then exploded, causing a giant wave of water to enter the room, sending the soldiers flying into the wall and knocking them out. Bette was starting to suffocate due to the water when a forcefield came up and shielded her.

"Are...we breathing underwater?" Bette asked in shock.

"Well, I'm using my forcefields to create an air bubble in the water." Susan corrects her how it works.

"We must hurry," Namor said as he came over to their bubble. "Krang wishes to lay waste to the surface. I will help you stop it, but wish you do not harm him or any other citizen of Atlantis."

Peter didn't know what to even say about that and looked at Susan. "Sue, think that we can trust him?"

Susan wondered that herself, seeing as it was Namor that caused all of this to happen. Yet again, he could be their best bet to stop this invasion.

"Yes. I think we can." Susan assured him.

Back on the surface, Johnny was able to swim his way onto land and started to gasp for air. Tired from the swimming, he was happy he was able to fend off the sea life he encountered on the way. As he lay there on the beach, he was approached by a few onlookers who were shocked to see a hero on the sand.

"What's up?" Johnny asked them. "Anyone here happened to see a woman with a red cape fly past?"

But just then, there was a whole army of soldiers coming out of the ocean, getting his attention. Krang and his army came crawling out and immediately started to open fire on the people as they ran away in a frenzy.

"Oh, come on." Johnny sighed as he got back up. Dusting off the sand on his uniform, he prepared to blast off as smoke steamed off the water on him. "Flame on!"

With that, he bursts into flames and flies around the soldiers. Shooting at their tanks and weapons, he took them down with one fireball to protect the city.

Ben was walking down the street when he saw the attack happening and ran into action. As he ran, several soldiers cornered people as they held onto their loved ones.

"Hey!" Ben cried, getting the soldier's attention. "It's clobbering time!"

Before the man had a chance to aim his gun, the Thing punched him and sent the soldier flying into the ocean.

"I left for one night. What the hell happened?" Ben asked as Johnny came flying down. "Sue was kidnapped by the mermaid, and now his army is here to conquer the world."

"Okay, you can fill in the gaps later," Ben said, seeing they have bigger problems. "Right now, we have a city to save."

"And we won't let you do it alone!" Peter cried, causing them to look up and see Susan using a forcefield to lower them down.

"Sue!" Johnny was happy to see his sister, but not so much to see her kidnapper. "What is he doing here?"

"He's here to help. He didn't unleash these guys. His General went nuts." Peter defended him. "He's here to help, then he swore to never return."

"Fin." Johnny sighed but kept eyeing Namor. "But I've got my eyes on you."

"Where's Jennifer?" Bette asked, realizing she was not here.

"Long story." Johnny sighed.

"Well, you can catch us up later," Peter said, seeing the army coming at them. "Let's do this, Team!"

With Ha, they all ran into the battle, Ben smashing the first tank that came up to him, then watched the men on board run away. This allowed him to use the tank to toss it at another one of them.

Susan then created a forcefield to protect the people. "I'm gonna start evacuating everyone!"

"Do it!" Peter cried, leaping off the ground, spinning as he shot two webs. He connected the two webs to the Atlantis soldiers before they slammed into one another. Landing on the side of a building, he tackled the nearest soldier, connecting the line. Having shot several more strands, he tossed the soldiers back into the ocean.

Bette picked up anything that she could find. A newspaper in the trash, an empty cup, just anything, and used them as projectiles to blind the tanks.

As they were handling his armies, Namor made his way over to Krang. "Krag! You deceiver!" Krang looked over to Namor as he grabbed Krang by the neck. "Now taste the wrath of your king!" He slammed Krang against the tank.

"You think that you and your freaks can defeat us?" Krang asked.

"He's got a point!" Susan commented, seeing as since they can't injure the soldiers, it's increasingly difficult. "We can't take them down alone. We're down several members."

"There has to be something that we can do!" Ben said as he kicked one of the soldiers, carrying a tank.

"Wait." Peter started to put a plan together. "Johnny, remember what we said about reaching supernova?"

"You said it was a bad idea!" Johnny reminded him as he flew around.

"Don't go supernova, just turn up the temperature!" Peter instructed him.

Johnny decided to just listen and started to circle the soldiers, building up heat. As he started to turn up the temperature, the water inside of their armor started to evaporate.

"Invisible, can you contain the heat?" Peter asked Sue.

Susan, who finished getting the people free, started to shield Johnny's heat. As the water continued to evaporate, more soldiers ran away to get back into the ocean. Krang tried to get away, but Susan caught him in a forcefield and dragged him back to Namor.

"The city is safe." Peter was happy to see it. "Your troops have been defeated."

"So it seems." Namor concurred. "I must return, bring justice to the treason from Domora and Krang for their actions."

"And I hope this means you won't be coming back," Johnny commented.

"I keep my word," Namor confirmed as he took Krang in his grasp. "Now, I shall return. But I promise next time, it will be in peace."

"Look forward to it," Peter said as Namor made his way back into the water. "Hope that's the last we see of that guy."

"Yep." Susan agreed. "But you have to admit, he has this kind of nobility to him."

"He is welcome to it. As long as he stays under the sea." Peter commented, happy that it was over. Then a thought came to mind as he looked at her. "You...weren't tempted to join him, were you? I mean, he's muscular, charismatic, and unique-"

"No," Susan commented as she raised Peter's mask to his nose. "Because I have had my mind on someone else."

"Really? Who?" Peter asked.

Susan smiled as she pulled Peter in for a kiss, shocking the other members of the team. Johnny was almost ready to burn Peter to a crisp. But at the same time, he knew Peter was ten times better person than Reed.

Ben watched and thought it was nice and cute. For the first three seconds. "Ugh, we get it, you two."

"Let them have a moment," Bette stated, thinking it was nice.

The Watcher smiled as he eyed them having a romantic moment together. "And with love finally blossoming, as children, both human and Atlantian alike say, they lived happily ever after." Then his voice and face became seriously confused about something happening. "Wait, what?"

Back in reality, Peter's senses went off, altering him of something coming. Braking off the kiss, even though he wished he didn't, he looked around to see what was wrong.

Then a giant portal formed in the middle of the beach, revealing an army of Inhumans coming, marching down the street.

The Inhumans were being led by non-other than Maximus Boltagon.

"Oh, dear." The Watcher commented, seeing that the final battle had just begun. "Perhaps, I spoke too soon."
