When Peter tried to open his eyes, he saw he was somewhere unrecognizable on a stretcher. He was being dragged around by a bunch of doctors with Caitlin and Sharon with the other doctors, telling them things he could barely make out.

"He had a run in with the Symbiote, Venom." Caitlin informed the doctors.

"He has a healing factor, you just need to remember that." Sharon told them as well.

"Let's just hope we're in time to save him." One of the other doctors said in worry.

The next time that Peter opened his eyes, he started to see something bright in his face. He first worried that it was the light, but then started to see he was on an operating table, where doctors were removing the pieces of building from his skin.

"Just watch out, the skin is already starting to heal." The head operator warned the others.

"Uh, is he waking up?" One of the others asks, noticing his eyes fluttering.

"Add another sedative." The head operator says.

Peter then feels his head becoming light and ends up falling back down. He however managed to look to the window where he saw Susan, Cisco, Sharon, May, and his other friends watching the operation.

Then the next time that Peter opened his eyes, he looked around where he saw he was in a hospital room where Caitlin and Sharon were talking with a member of the staff. Seeing the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo on the wall, he understood that the whole thing was a S.H.I.E.L.D. private hospital. His identify was safe, which was something he could only now begin to think about.

Looking over to his right, he saw Susan was there clutching onto his hand whilst resting, using his hip as a pillow. He wishes he could move his fingers and let her know he's there, but he could barely feel anything.

"We have our orders to ship him off." Sharon said to the doctor. "He'll be in safe hands."

"We just think the familiar environment will help his recovery." Caitlin adds on for her.

"I need a hero. I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night. He's gotta be strong, and he's gotta be fast. And he's gotta be fresh from the fight."

"Come on, Cisco. This is ridiculous." Caitlin said as she was looking over Peter, Cisco looking down from above.

Peter recognized the area was inside of Mercury Labs, meaning that they brought him home to their base. Seems that they figured that the area might actually have worked to try and wake him up.

"He likes this song." Cisco defended why he was playing the music.

"How could you possibly know that?" Caitlin wonders.

"Sue told me." Cisco explains as he bit a twizler. "I mean, he can hear everything, right?"

Caitlin shrugged and knew he was right there. "Auditory functions are the last sensory faculties to degenerate."

"See?" Cisco claimed defeat and notice the time. "Oh, I gotta go. I'm meeting with Bette in an hour."

"You better go, I'm pretty sure she isn't gonna give you a second chance." Caitlin ushered him off.

"Right. Call if there's any change." Cisco said as he started to walk away. "He's gotta be sure, and it's gotta be soon. And he's gotta be larger than life."

"Two weeks, no change." Caitlin sighed as she looked down at her friend. "Come on, Pete. Wake up."

Peter finally was able to keep his eyes open and he started to look around. The labs were quiet, he could see the building looked a lot better than it did originally. Seems S.H.I.E.L.D. was able to repair the damages that were caused by the Inhuman attack. When he started to sit up, he saw Susan was still by his side and sleeping in the chair.

"Hey, pretty lady." Peter greeted her playfully.

Susan started to wake up when she looked and saw Peter sitting up. "What's a girl like you sleeping in a chair with a comfy bed next door?"

"Peter!" Susan cheered as she ran over and pulled him in for a kiss. Peter wasn't going to pull back and embraced her as she wrapped her hands around his neck. It took a moment before the two of them needing air had to separate so that they could breathe. "You're awake."

"Yeah, I am." Peter said as he looked around the room. "How long was I out?"

"Almost a month." Susan informs him.

"A month?" Peter was shocked to hear how long he was out.

"They said that singularity and that fight with Venom left you powerless for a while." Susan explains to him what she was told. "They didn't know how long it was gonna take for you to wake up...I was starting to think you'd never wake up."

Peter cupped her cheek and wiped the tears away. "I'm awake now. I'm here."

Susan chuckled as she leaned into his touch. She loved how safe and warm his touch could make her feel. Valeria then started to cry, interrupting their small moment together.

"Seems someone's awake." Peter joked.

"She's been like this since we brought you home." Susan admitted as she went to go get her. When she returned with Valeria, she seemed to start calming down when she saw Peter and started to laugh. "Seems she really missed you."

Peter smiled as he reached to hold the little girl. "Can I?" Susan was more than happy to oblige and handed over the little girl for him to hold. "Hey, honey." Valeria giggled at him calling to her and reached to his face. "Yeah, I'm back. I'm okay."

"Daddy!" Valeria cried in happiness.

Peter and Susan immediately froze as both of them had just heard Valeria's first word. That was her first word, and it was calling Peter "daddy". This is completely shocking to both of them.

Peter went to try and correct the little girl. "Uh, no, I'm-"

Susan however didn't want him to correct himself and looked to the two. "Yeah, that's your daddy." She then saw the surprise look on Peter's face. She knew that was gonna be some explaining. "Reed wasn't the best father, and she's going to need some sort of father figure. I can't think of any better person than you."

Peter smiled and was more than happy to be her father figure if Susan would allow her. "I'd love that."

The two then leaned in again and kissed each other, the little girl being stuck between the two of them. Then when they separated, Peter finally wondered where everyone else was.

"Where's everyone else?" Peter asks Sue.

"Oh, most of them are out helping to rebuild the city." Susan explains to where they are. "They've been helping out the city of Attilan become a location. We've been busy without you."

"Well, I'm back now." Peter was more than happy to start helping. "Come on."

"No." Susan quickly denied that and pushed him against the bed. "You just woke up. You need some time to rest."

"Fine." Peter sighed as he laid back. "Still wondering what caused that singularity."

"I wonder what caused it to close." Susan commented.

The Watched eyed them and smiled. "What they don't know won't hurt them..."

Across the Universe...

The ground started to shake, and a swirling blue hole appeared. The walls around them started to crumble and everything around them started to become sucked into the vortex.

"Guys, that's not good!" Cisco yelled in fear.

"Professor, I shut down the wormhole!" Caitlin cried in confusion. "What's happening?"

"I don't know. But it seems to be reopening." Stein said as he was just as lost.

Everyone stumbled to their feet, and Iris screams that she wouldn't leave Eddie. But Barry grabbed her hand and followed the others out of the room as fast as they could go.

They all raced outside where they saw that the vortex has grown and see it was getting worse. A dark, spiraling mass was hovering outside of STAR Labs.

"So that's what we didn't want to happen." Bobby took a guess.

"What is it doing?!" Mary Jane asked.

"Feeding." Stein stared up at it in horror. "The singularity won't stop. Not even after the earth is gone."

All around the city, everyone was looking up at the singularity that has formed and all of them were shocked at the sight. None of them knew how to react, but the majority of people decided the best decision was to run.

"I'm afraid that the accretion disk has already assembled," Stein said in worry.

"What the hell does that even mean?" Lana asks in confusion.

"The fuse material that's in orbit around the singularity is already in motion," Stein stated.

"What does that mean?" Ava yelled. "In English!"

"We have to disrupt the motion!" Barry realized. "Basically, it's just like the tornado- only upside down. And bigger. And scarier."

"Barry." Stein approached him. "That even has an energy level of 600.7 terra electron volts. It cannot be stopped!"

Barry was still running around the vortex of the singularity to try and keep it contained.

"Brilliant" Stein exclaimed in excitement. "He's containing the singularity by adding to its angular momentum!"

Caitlin had no idea what that meant, but Cisco seemed to get it. He held his phone up to his mouth with the comm uploaded. "Barry! It's stabilizing! Keep doing what you're doing!"

"I'm not sure how much longer I can." Barry's voice sounded faint, but she closed her eyes, listening to it. "Cisco!"

"Now what?" Joe asked.

"We have to merge the inner and outer event horizons," Stein informed him.

"How will we do that?" Ronnie rested his hand on Caitlin's shoulder.

Stein paused for a moment, and when he spoke, his voice was considerably less excited than before. "By separating in the eye of it. The amount of energy from the fissure should do the trick."

Caitlin grabbed her ex-fiancé's hand, wordlessly pleading with him not to leave her.

"It's our only hope, Ronald," Stein said quietly.

"Ronnie, no!" Caitlin hated herself for being selfish, but she had already lost him once. She couldn't do it again. "It's too dangerous. What if you can't escape the in-rush?"

"Cait." He murmured, squeezing her shoulders. "We have to try."

Those words would be the death of her, Caitlin knew that for sure. Ronnie grabbed her in a tight hug and kissed her forehead. Then he and Stein merged into Firestorm. He flew off, and Caitlin was left feeling cold and alone.

Barry was running when he noticed Firestorm flying up and stopping in the middle of the portal. "Ronnie...Professor Stein!"

And then it was over. A blinding flash and the swirling stopped, leaving a dark mass of clouds hovering over the collapsing city.

Back in their universe, Peter had decided what was to come of Mercury Labs. With most of it being damaged in the explosion and a few dozen things going on, it was time for something new. They didn't need anything like Mercury Labs. They needed something to help the new world.

"Thank you all for being here today." Peter starts off with and tries to find his wording. "A few months ago, I was handed Mercury labs from the late Dr. McGee. She was a great scientist and a good friend who was taken away from us by a madman. She saw greatness in me and believed there was no-one more worthy of her legacy. I didn't ask for this, but she believed I'd know what to do. And I plan on living up to her expectations. All of us have been working here with one goal in mind, use science to make the world a safer place. And in the last few months, we have learned that we need to be something more. People have gained powers. Powers unlike anything we've ever seen. And since the defeat of The Maker, Reed Richards, there have been dozens of others around the world. So, Mercury Labs will become something more. It'll become a housing for those with powers. We will help those with powers learn to control their new abilities, their limits, and maybe...a way they can return to normal if they wish. This is the future of Central City. Not only that, it will be the house that will home the heroes of the city. This is the new foundation of our world. The Future Foundation."

Then he unveiled the new sign that was placed on the building, which was a gigantic 4 on the side of the building. Many of the reporters started to chap and cheer when they saw the sign, as well as all of their friends and family.

Jennifer however wouldn't be sticking around. With Reed gone and Susan safe, she decided it was best to try and return to her normal life. Sharon has already brought her up to a new possible job as a head of a specific legal division for superheroes. A lot of others were coming up from the woodwork so they would need a good attorney.

"If you guys need me, be sure to call." Jennifer tells them.

"Don't worry, we won't." Johnny joked.

"Don't be a stranger." Cisco called as she headed out.

"Thanks for your help." Peter thanks their friend as she and Sharon head out.

"See you at the next family get together." Sharon tells her cousin as they entered the elevator.

"You guys...don't mind if I stick around, do you?" Janet asks Peter. "For a little while?"

"The more the merrier." Peter promises her.

"Their world was safe. It was a lot of heartache. Many of their loved ones were lost. But they got the job done." The Watcher said with a smile, eyeing their entire universe. "They created a lot of problems for themselves, but they were going to face them all together. A lot of new Inhumans have been awaken. And a lot more adventures await them... but as of now, their tale has come to an end. Or did it?"
